Great service!
Great service! Dave understood that I needed air conditioning during the heatwave and quickly arranged for the installation of a split ductless system with the electrician. Luis was really nice and professional, working hard in the heat to ensure everything was in top shape and functioning perfectly. Thanks a lot!

David at Climate Care was very helpful, and his technician who showed up at my mom's house was really helpful and slowly explained everything to my elderly parents. They didn't have the right size filter and went back to get it and replace it the same day. The AC works great now. Very happy and will use again. We used to use ***.. Climate Care LLC is much better!
ClimateCare didn't finish the job as agreed in our contract
ClimateCare didn't finish the job as agreed in our contract. We tried reaching out through emails and calls, but owner David Soderstrom stopped responding. They installed a lower-quality heat pump, not the one specified in our contract, and they didn't even bother installing the dehumidifier, which was also part of the agreement. The new thermostat system was left incomplete as well. I would advise consumers to steer clear of ClimateCare.
We hired Climate Care to install a new HVAC system in an apartment connected to our house
We hired Climate Care to install a new HVAC system in an apartment connected to our house. The installation was done wrong and the system didn't work. We couldn't get David to come back, but he said he would pay the third party we hired to fix the coolant line leak and faulty TxV valve. David never called back or paid the bill, which was more than $1,000.
I hired Climate Care, LLC on November 8, and paid an $8000.00 deposit
I hired Climate Care, LLC on November 8, and paid an $8000.00 deposit. They promised to provide heat on one floor before the holidays and complete both floors after the New Year. They also assured me that the AC would be installed at the same time, so I wouldn't have any issues during an early heat wave. However, it's now June 9th, and I only have heat on one floor. The work is still incomplete, and there is no sign of the AC being installed. I have made numerous calls, pleaded, tried to lighten the mood with jokes, and even become stern in my requests. I am now considering contacting the ComplaintsBoard.com (ComplaintsBoard.com) and hiring an attorney to sue for a full refund and damages, as I might soon have to stay in a hotel. I desperately need help with this situation!
Dave and Climate Care, LLC are absolutely terrible
Dave and Climate Care, LLC are absolutely terrible. I have never encountered such a lousy company or person in my life. Their customer service is a joke, their product is a disaster, and their response time is nonexistent. Everything they promised turned out to be a lie. They have let me down time and time again. To make matters worse, during our last conversation, Dave had the audacity to hurl derogatory insults at me, curse like a sailor, and abruptly end the call. He has repeatedly used offensive language towards me. It's been a whopping 8 months, and my AC unit still remains unfixed. Climate Care, LLC is hands down the worst company in their industry. Dave's behavior was beyond unprofessional. I cannot stress enough how strongly I advise against working with them. Save yourself the trouble and find someone else to do business with.
I saw an ad online and decided to hire Climate Care, LLC for heating maintenance on two systems
I saw an ad online and decided to hire Climate Care, LLC for heating maintenance on two systems. One of the systems was making a lot of noise while running. The repairman arrived and informed me that one of the systems didn't require any maintenance. He cleaned and did something to fix the noisy system. However, the very next day, the noisy system started making noise again. I contacted the office to request a refund for the system that didn't need maintenance and asked them to send the repairman again. To my surprise, they informed me that the repairman had taken the money and passed away, so they couldn't provide any further repairs or refund. This is definitely a low-quality service, and I'm unsure how to label it when they refuse to return my money.
This company, Climate Care, LLC, is not trustworthy
This company, Climate Care, LLC, is not trustworthy. They took my money without providing the service I paid for. I hired them to inspect my Central AC, but it didn't work. The technician who came didn't properly examine the machine and just filled the cooling deposit without checking for any damage. I've been trying to reach out to them, but they haven't responded to my emails or phone calls. It seems like they want to keep my money. I'm still waiting for a resolution. I strongly advise against doing business with this company. They are not efficient or honest. They can take your money just like they did with me. I have evidence to support my claim.
Climate Care was dishonest from the start
Climate Care was dishonest from the start. They gave us an inaccurate estimate and then went $10,000 over that cost after installing the AC units. To make matters worse, the product they ordered turned out to be defective. We tried to contact Dave, the owner, but he was extremely difficult to reach. He never responded in a timely manner, leaving us waiting for weeks to hear back. When he finally sent subcontractors, they couldn't figure out what was wrong and didn't provide any solid conclusions. Now, we're stuck with a $30,000 problem and no working AC system in my daughter's room. This company is deceptive, has terrible customer service, and is completely unreliable. Someone needs to investigate their deceptive practices.
Dave seems like a nice guy so it bothers me to leave this review
Dave seems like a nice guy so it bothers me to leave this review. I spent $5k last July to have a new condenser put in and evap coil replaced. 1 year later the same issues that were supposed to be fixed returned. I called on a Saturday for emergency service because my house had no A/C. They said "I will try to locate our on call service tech" and I never recieved a call back. I called another guy, he took time out of his already busy day to stop by and diagnose things. He asked who worked on this last year beacuse he said it was embarrassing how bad of a job it is. If I could I would demand at least half of the money spent last year back. These guys are never on time, say they will be there and then just never show up without even calling. Their customer service is awful and they over charge. I learned my lesson the hard way. Stay away from Climate Care.
After reading the other reviews, it seems like I'm not the only one who's experienced this
After reading the other reviews, it seems like I'm not the only one who's experienced this. I was pretty satisfied with Climate Care's service when they installed my heat pump and blower unit. However, I started having issues when the unit would only heat or cool. Every time it got cold or hot, I had to call Climate Care to rewire my brand new system so it would work properly. They couldn't figure out what the problem was. Supposedly, only Dave, the owner, can figure it out, but he never responds. I don't mind paying for the work. Maybe it needs rewiring, I don't know. But what really disappoints me is that when things get complicated, they give up and ignore their customers. I'll find someone else, I don't care, but just let me know! If they're professionals, they shouldn't leave customers in the cold. At least tell me they can't do it. I've wasted a whole week without heat, and now I've scheduled someone else.
This company should think about rebranding themselves as "care" is something they certainly don't provide
This company should think about rebranding themselves as "care" is something they certainly don't provide. Agony, CAREless, last or missed service calls, impossible to get a hold of, lazy/careless technicians, etc, etc as the list of issues goes on. I gave Dave Soderstrom (owner) opportunity after opportunity but felt compelled at this point to raise awareness to others who might be considering employing Climate Care so they have full transparency into the experience they should expect to receive. Sometimes you "get what you pay for" and feel that phrase definitely holds true here. Full details below: I employed Climate Care in the summer in 2021 when one of my HVAC system's died on me at the recommendation of a friend. Dave was super professional, punctual to our initial meeting, well priced, made suggestions for items to update on my equipment which he said he would do (and didn't) and had immediate availability to install equipment when competitors were 4+ weeks out (this should have been the first immediate red flag). Given both my HVAC systems were 14+ years old, it was decided to replace both the dead system and proactively replace the other aging system as well. Thus two condensers and two air handler systems were required. Fast forward to the night before installation Dave calls me to tell me that he is having trouble locating one of the condensers and we can a) hold on that install until he gets the right equipment or b) go ahead with the install but he will supply a slightly bigger condenser. I elected on the latter given I am not an HVAC expert I heeded on the guidance of Dave to tell me what to do. Months later (Jan 2022) I am told by my current HVAC servicing company when they were over to perform annual maintenance that the larger condenser paired by my air handler is not appropriate and could lead to freezing or other performance issues in the future. The dead HVAC system was removed and a new one was installed without issue; however, Dave's crew left for the day and never insulated/wrapped the pipes on the exterior of the home along with some other odds/ends. Multiple voicemails and text messages to Dave went unanswered so I called my credit card company and submitted a dispute as the work was 90% complete. Only weeks later was the work completed to which I dropped the dispute. A few weeks later Dave's crew returned to replace the aging HVAC system in my attic. After a full day which consisted of his guys coming for two hours in the morning, then taking a two hour lunch break followed by hanging out in the truck most of the afternoon, this system was replaced. At 6pm on that hot summer evening Dave broke the news to me..."The good news is the HVAC system is installed, the bad news is it doesn't work". After finger pointing and blame game nonsense (blaming a faulty part in a brand new unit) he came back late the following day to fix. A few days later I was in the attic cleaning out some boxes when I noticed the newly installed HVAC system was leaking at a connection point. Multiple voicemails and text messages to Dave went unanswered. Finally one of his technicians showed up a week later who said he needed to get some parts and would be right back. Two weeks later again I am texting/calling Dave to get resolution to this. At this point I called my credit card company and initiated a dispute (different credit card company than previous dispute). A few more weeks go by and Dave returns to fix the issue. Hours later the carbon monoxide alarm is blaring in my home requiring my entire family to vacate. Fire department arrived on scene to confirm there were legitimate carbon monoxide levels in my home, requiring them to bring in industrial sized fans and blow out the air in my entire home. Dave denied any wrongdoing here which is absurd considering Climate Care was utilizing blow torches in my attic to fix the issue. At this point several weeks go by and everything is operational without issue until I notice a pool of water building in the condensation pan in my basement HVAC system (part of the initial pricing of this project was to replace the condensation pan and sensors which was never done). Multiple texts/calls go out to Dave which surprisingly are answered saying someone will be there today. Today was three days later to which Dave again blamed the air handler manufacturer and installed some sort of bracket on the front of my system to allow it to properly drain. Also a small hole in the bottom of the duct work which was the exit point of the water was supposed to be replaced during the initial replacement of this air handler and was never done. His technicians just taped up the hole. Heading into late fall tof 2021 the heat was fired up for the first time all season. While Dave did not perform any work on my boiler, the air handler in my attic was only pumping out cold air. Same cadence proceeds with multiple calls/texts to Dave who arrives several days later and shockingly blames the air handler manufacturer on bad wiring. He did some rewiring and the system was operational. Fingers crossed but 6 months later my equipment seems to be operational but dreading the day when I come across an issue. If/when that happens, Dave will certainly be hearing from me for compensation. At the suggestion of my other HVAC company, they suggested I register all the equipment with the manufacturer to ensure proper warranty. Dave told me he would do this on my behalf which was never done. Please save your time, money and aggravation and hire a true professional that will not deceive you! In June , Climate Care, LLC, located in ***, did HVAC stuff at my crib
In June , Climate Care, LLC, located in ***, did HVAC stuff at my crib. Climate Care's dude fixed my AC and made it cool again. I paid for the service and also got an Annual Service Agreement for my HVAC Units. The service dude suggested I get my ducts cleaned too, so I agreed and put some money down for it. But even after calling, leaving voicemails, and sending emails multiple times, they still haven't scheduled the duct cleaning. I just want my down payment for the duct cleaning back, man.
On June 10th, we gave Climate Care, LLC a $4,000 down payment to replace our air conditioner
On June 10th, we gave Climate Care, LLC a $4,000 down payment to replace our air conditioner. They called us and said the size we wanted wasn't available, so they wanted to give us a smaller one. We told them we wanted the size we originally ordered and asked them to find it for us. They said they would, but it would take a few months. We then asked for our deposit back so we could wait for the right unit to be in stock and reorder it. But the company never gave us our money back, and we've been trying to get it back for a whole year. Climate Care LLC answers our calls, but they never call us back. The bosses and owners ignore our repeated requests for phone calls and refunds. I even contacted the consumer protection agency of ***, but they couldn't get a response from the company and couldn't do anything else. I'm hoping the ComplaintsBoard.com can help me and get my $4,000 deposit back. I have my receipt and I've tried calling multiple times with no response.
I hired Climate Care in July to fix my central air conditioning
I hired Climate Care in July to fix my central air conditioning. The AC was generally fine, but it would occasionally freeze when it worked hard in very hot weather. To fix this, Climate Care said I needed a new fan motor. They worked on my AC and installed a new motor on 7/21. I paid them $1,285 for their services.
However, a week later on 7/27, I noticed that the house fan was constantly running and never stopped. I informed Climate Care about this issue, and they came back on 7/28 to address it. Unfortunately, after examining the system, nothing worked anymore - no house fan, no AC, nothing. They mentioned that the owner, David, would need to take a look at it.
It is now the end of October, and we still don't have a functioning house fan or AC. We rely on the house fan and HEPA filter throughout the year, not just in the summer, especially when someone is sick. However, getting in touch with the owner has been extremely difficult. I have made numerous calls, but he is usually unavailable. They often say he can't speak to me because he's busy providing quotes for others, even though they already have my money. Since they don't have a physical store, I can't visit them in person to discuss the issue.
Whenever I do manage to speak with the owner, he makes promises to call or visit at specific times, but he never follows through. I have been very patient, but now I have lost trust in their ability to resolve the problem. On Monday, I called them to request a refund, even though my AC is now in worse condition than when I initially contacted them. They assured me that the owner would call me by 6pm that night, but it's now Sunday and I haven't heard anything from them. I simply want my money back so I can hire someone else to fix the AC.

I paid David S of Climate Care in a city, a $20,000 deposit for my HVAC system install, including various items.
I paid David S of Climate Care in a city, a $20,000 deposit to install my HVAC system including various items like air handlers, condensers, a humidifier, filters, zoning systems, thermostats, ductwork, and piping. Work was to start late August but was delayed. Contacting him was hard, and he started in mid-September, progressing slowly. We needed heaters due to installation delays. By February 4, 2022, only one handler was installed, with our occupancy inspection due on the 8th. Despite promises, work remained incomplete. He assured completion by the 7th, then the 9th or 10th, but we must move by the 8th.
On July 5, a flood killed our air conditioner, which was responsible for cooling our entire house
On July 5, a flood killed our air conditioner, which was responsible for cooling our entire house. This was a major concern for us, especially considering that my husband, who is 79 years old, has brain damage and spends most of his days at home. We were initially informed by the builders of our condo that they would replace the air conditioner. However, on July 23, we were disappointed to learn that they would not follow through with their promise.
Desperate for a solution, I reached out to the president of Climate Care, LLC on July 26, explaining our urgent need for a new air conditioner. They informed us that if we provided a deposit of half the cost of the unit that same day, we would have a new air conditioner installed by Wednesday, July 28. Unfortunately, Wednesday came and went without any sign of the promised installation. I decided to call them on Thursday, July 29, in the late morning to inquire about their arrival time. Throughout the day, I made four more phone calls, but each time I was met with uncertainty regarding their schedule. During my final call that day, I left a message for David, the president, but there was no guarantee that he would receive it. Frustrated, I called Climate Care again at 5 o'clock to inform them that I had found another company that could install an air conditioner the following day. I had no choice but to hire a more reliable company.
To my surprise, David Soderberg, the president, called me back and promised that he would come on Friday. However, given my husband's situation, I couldn't take the risk of rescheduling with them again. We requested a refund of our deposit, and they assured us that the check would be mailed to us that week. Unfortunately, for the next four months, we were given various excuses and false promises regarding the check. They claimed that it was in the mail, that they had forgotten to send it, or that they only issued checks on the 15th of each month, among other lies.
Finally, on November 15, we informed them that we would personally come to pick up the check. They agreed to meet us at Exit 9 on the thruway with the check. Eventually, David arrived, quickly handed us the check, and promptly left, saying something along the lines of keeping $500 of the deposit for their trouble. However, we are still owed $500, and it is disappointing that we had to go through such a lengthy and frustrating process to receive our rightful refund.
