So glad I checked reviews before downloading!
Coke? Have yall taken juss a minit to scroll down the reviews of this app? WOW! Generally, before I buy anything on the amazon or whatever, I go to the reviews for the product to see what I can expect from other people’s thots. Well, I got tired of scrolling & seeing 1 star & sometimes up to a 3 star review. The 3 star reviews were kinna weird cause by what they were sayin, seems they’d rather’d left no stars! Again...WOW! I’m sittin here with a crap-load of Coke Zero caps. I thot, I’ll bet there’s an app for this! Sure nuff! There is! But, there isn’t, by the trouble people are tellin me! Ugh... Oh, & errbody’s rite...ya HAFTA leave a star to participate inna review. So, there it is...unwillingly clickin 1 star.
Epic fail - stop updating just to update nothing
Great; experiences lose descriptive information like is it a sip & scan or product code and details like what’s the prize and ending date. Several on-going experiences disappeared from the list. What’s with that? Great split experiences into two sections... really? I guess we get another useful update when summer is over!? First time in experiences brings me to an opt-in page and only way out is to quit the app... that’s great programming y’all... NOT! If it’s not broken stop “fixing” it. Change without improving something is non-productive. Do something that really helps like figure out how to scan the cardboard product codes. Every update seems to go in the wrong direction... things that were working get dropped or broken and anything new is totally useless
Growing upon coca-cola
From around 1956 through the years to date. I have enjoyed Coca-Cola. We bought them in all sizes available at the 6/ 32 Oz glass bottles that were returnable and the little glass bottles. All were returned.
My preference is still the flavor in glass bottles. Nothing better. My favorite is still the cherry coke. Some of the others are not to bad either. They would tease so much better in glass.
I am now in my late 60’s. I still recycle, so you young people of today look to yourselves and to clean up after yourself. Please help make US become trash on highways and enjoy more Coca-Cola as you do.
This goes for all ages. I love my country and I cry every time I see trash left every where. So please respect what you have been blessed with and take Care of Her!
Only good for donators to charities with a Coca-Cola habit
Negatives:
1. One’s points don’t even show up anywhere!
2. Not a single reward option. Not even a Coca-Cola branded item.
3. Only one drawing option.
Pros:
1. It is so much easier and quicker to scan the bottle tops now than having to manually type them in like we did years ago.
2. If one desires to donate to specific charities via donating the points/codes from their Coca-Cola account, then the app can be beneficial to them; however, it appears it is only one set code/points amount, which means tiny donations and lots of extra donating steps.
My Decision:
I entered the drawing and then deleted the app yet again after retrying again after years of hoping Coca-Cola would bring back the old reward system but with a code scanner and keep bulk code entries option.
Crashes Every Few Seconds
Can’t do anything without the app crashing every five seconds. However, when I do get in, I go to scan the cans of sprite I have for the “sip and scan” to either crash way before I could scan, for both the website and app to deny each can (cans being in perfect condition), or for the app to crash while scanning. Going to delete the app, but very poor experience. Only thing I could do without crashing was at least create an account. I was very excited to take part in this contest, but dreams crushed like a soda can when I couldn’t even scan any cans using the app. However, I could scan one can per every 10 minutes of effort on the website, for the website to waste more of my time redirecting me to an animation that soon grew my disappointment in Coca-Cola’s coding team(s). For such a huge company, the coding and scanning process seemed to be cheap.
Don’t Bother-Coke Rewards No Longer Exists
Don’t waste your time with this app or with the Coke Rewards Program—Coke no longer cares about rewarding their loyal customers.
After 30+ years of being a loyal Coca-Cola drinker and rewards member, I officially give up. Gone are the days that saving bottle caps could earn you a T-shirt or other Coca-Cola merch. Now it’s one sip and scan a day, to win...literally nothing.
Thousands of bottle caps and box codes entered and not a single one amounted to a thing. Today I tossed the probably 700+ bottle caps and box codes yet to be entered. I get that times are changing, but all Coca-Cola had to do was increase the number of codes to win prizes...rather than switch to these silly pointless no winner wastes of time. But that would require them to reward customers who saved and entered the required codes, and Coke no longer cares about rewarding their customers.
Throw away your Coke points and save yourself some time
The app works fine except every time I try to enter a code it ask me to allow it to use the camera, after asking once it should stop.
No, Coke, you can not access my location so you can see where I go and monitor purchases. Why would I allow free tracking with nothing in return.
Coke used to appreciate customers who remembered to save the points, now IT’S ALL SWEEPSTAKES! And if you accidentally enter the code wrong the app backs up and makes you renter the whole code again instead of just allowing you to re-look and adjust.
This app is clearly a waste of time aimed at trying to get Coke free social media.
Throw away your Coke points, don’t waste your time.
The one flip side to this is I’m drinking less Coke products, I actually drank them in the past to accrue the points back when I could use them for free T-shirts.
Thanks for making me healthier and saving me money Coke!
GARBAGE SINCE UPDATE
This last update didn’t do anything but cause it to not work. It won’t scan a icon & crashes as soon as you try to.
Don’t waste your time. Stick to the slow website. Takes forever to enter a sweepstakes. Why the hell did you fools go & mess it all up to add polar bears?
Don’t you listen to the customers or do beta to know what the issues may be or are? That’s not hard. The amount of $$$ Coca Cola has & it can’t buy a working programmed app. Pretty sad.
Maybe the ppl at Pepsi have been working undercover to ruin you & the brand. Better look into it.
Update 11/15
Well now they rewards I gad earned & hadn't used yet bc they supposably never expired. That maybe the case but when the update happened It removed them. It was $100 worth of gift cards for different things & a 4” polar bear & a Bluetooth speaker are all gone.
Don’t waste your time with it. They’ve ruined a ok app & made it irrelevant at best.
My life as a coked up teacher
I love Coca-Cola So much I thought it was a lie when my dentist said I had dry mouth and Coke anything products was the cause. But because I am hooked and drink 2 12 packs a day split between diet and regular, I just ignore the warnings and wait, for a lousy game with winning odds. A multi billion dollar company that has bottling plants all over the world and charges ridiculous rates for shipping overpriced, clothing, can’t manufacture and market some self promoting prizes to dump on us zealous zombie ♀️ drinkers and drunken drones ?
I have so many bottle caps and package codes that I can’t even donate! My sip and scan app doesn’t work and your bot can’t help!
Corporate Coke Heads, stand up for the majority of your customer base, us money spending red, white and blue colored Americans who buy strong and pay cash for your products
We want Some representation. And are just as proud looking we want to have say too!
What a disappointment…!
I’ve been a LONG time coke and then diet coke fan. Consuming coke products for over 30 years. I have a lighted coke sign from the United Center when they switched to Pepsi and took down all the coke stuff. I have a couple bins of coke caps with the coke codes in them - hoping I’d turn them into cool stuff like I once used to get — shirts, coolers, pens all types of once cool coke swag — through years of loyality. Six months ago I cut it off — not another bottle or can since. The last few years their rewards program sucked but I liked their product - dt coke. But no more. I’m tired of supporting a company that hates my country, hates my race and accuses me, (a solid customer) of being a racist. BTW — I’m not a racist, I love my black grandkids as much as my other grandkids. I’ll throw out the caps as soon as I have a chance. A sad goodbye to a company I once considered the best marketed, most loved product in ever. NOT ANYMORE!
App has become completely worthless
The entire coke rewards program has become a giant joke. I am a founding member/user. I’ve been a coke rewards user since it debuted in 2007. It used to be decent. The app no longer scans codes like it used to and even when it used to, it was very shoddy. In any event you just scan the sip and scan icon on any can or bottle and play stupid games for no rewards or prizes whatsoever. What’s the point?! You can still scan codes if you click on experiences and pick a “reward” that requires you scan codes. The only reward they’re offering now is a shutterfly calendar? Deleting this app. What a waste of time! For a huge company like coke this is absolutely pathetic, you might as well get rid of the program entirely because you’re just pissing people off. I know you are trying to appeal to millennials and maybe the app wasn’t as successful as you thought it would be but as a millennial YOU’VE MADE IT WORSE FOR YOURSELF! Deleting this forever.
Not worth the space on your phone
Coke used to offer actual rewards in the form of Merch and gift cards to retailers like Nike and I was religious about entering codes. Then they switched to a model where the “reward” is getting to choose which charity will receive a minuscule amount associated with your code you’re entering. Nothing to say thank you for your loyalty to the actual customer and I’m quite sure Coke is going to support the charities in question regardless of if we enter codes or not, and I’m sure Coke is taking all possible tax breaks associated with these donations and then patting themselves on the back by publicizing their commitment to social awareness and causes in need. I’m done entering codes for absolutely zero return on investment.
Also, the character recognition on the latest version of their app absolutely stinks when used on iPhone 13 Pro Max. In the majority of cases you end up having to manually key in the code.
Bye, Coca-Cola. I’ll miss you.
They don’t know how to make an app
I just want to use rewards. First, I got to the website to sign up with Apple. It brings me to the sign in screen. I try signing up with Facebook. It takes me back to the sign in screen. Finally, I just decide to do it manually by pressing “sign up”. I enter all of my information, then the verification code is never sent to my email. I try refreshing the page - it’s stuck. I give up with the website and download the app. I try signing up in the app with a iCloud-generated email and an auto-generated password and get the error “The request is invalid or malformed” I finally manage to sign up, the the rewards section in the app is blank. Literally. It says “Unlock experiences” or whatever…. What’s the point in having a regards section but leaving blank. I go back to the website to sign in… I get the error, “Your sign in was rejected by Fraud Protection” … PLEASE, I have tracking settings off in Safari. Are you guys really this stubborn on tracking your customers? Deleted.
A Disappointment with ‘Rewards’ that are Actually a Raffle
At first I thought that the push towards sip-and-scan was a very convenient way for me to get rewards, I mean I didn’t have to hoard my caps anymore... I thought. Okay— with today’s technology the sip-and-scan code can act more like a QR code and less like a 7-Eleven Rewards scavenger hunt. Actually, I’m not going to fault 7-Eleven because THEY actually REWARD CUSTOMERS. I get free drinks, guaranteed, for my loyalty AND they sent me a free slurpee this week for my birthday. Coca Cola sent me a code for a CHANCE to win something and said to keep playing to win. As someone who has purchased WAY too many Diet Cokes in my day I am more motivated to gain the guaranteed and useful perks of gas station punch cards (virtual or physical) to gain consistent, useful rewards then to enter a raffle and ‘unlock’ (for that moment) a mobile game. The app itself? It’s fine in development with normal troubleshooting issues for the scanning application but what use is a smooth UX when the reward and concept is crap?
Waste of time - worthless
Used to be a decent program when you could scan codes and redeem them for various items. Now, you get the chance to “donate” your hard earned points to charities of their choosing. Lame. Rarely there will be an item you can redeem, but the scanner doesn’t work that well. And I know it’s not my phone as it’s a new iPhone 12 Pro Max. Most annoying is that the scanner doesn’t properly read the old codes and if you try to enter them manually, some idiot coder had the great idea of giving you an error code and closing out the entire entry screen instead of allowing you to correct the typo. Keep in mind that the only reason you have to enter the code manually is because the CC reader won’t read the ineligible code in the first place. So up to you to decipher if that’s a W or a V, a Q or an O, an H or an N and so on. So more frustrating than anything. And I was trying to donate a pile to the USO. Just ended up throwing them in the garbage after multiple fail attempts. Great job Coca Cola app designers! You should be fired!
Lost Connection Error
Went in to Coca Cola app to put in my bottle caps that we collect religiously every day and and received an update message. Tried to update and couldn’t get it to up date. So i decided to try and reinstall the app thinking something happen to my iPhone reinstall the app now all I get is a lost connection error every time i try to log in. I have used the rewards program for many years. Even got my husband drinking Diet Coke which gave me more points didn’t even mind donating my points for a good cause. Love using my points to get free stuff and winning freebies. But if this is the way Coke is going to be and not make the app accessible to everyone. That is a crying shame. There are many people out here that enjoys coke products and enjoyed the rewards. Coke is getting to big for itself to think of the every day person out here buying the product which keeps going up and up in price. All they care about is what they can make selling their products. MAYBE I SHOULD LEARN TO LIKE PEPSI PRODUCTS
Thanks for nothing
Was a loyal customer but rethinking my loyalty

Such a pain
I have been drinking Diet Coke for about 30 years and have always entered my lids without difficulty until recently-I donate to my granddaughter’s school. Every single time I go into the app I have to sign in again (even though I used the keep me logged in tab) and have to get a code sent to my phone every single time to verify my identity-which is super annoying! Sometimes it makes me do it five or six times and then still can’t get in! The page just stays blank! If I do get in I’m able to enter a couple of lid codes if I’m lucky but usually won’t let me enter any! I don’t mind the switch to donating but I have SO MANY caps saved up to enter and really need to get those done! I contacted the Coca Cola help but that didn’t do any good at all-they gave me a couple of replacement codes I could use but that does me no good because I’m not even able to get the app to work to enter those codes! lots of times my codes are exactly correct and the app will say I need to correct one of the letters or numbers when the ones they are saying I need to change are already correct so the code isn’t accepted! Please end the rewards program if Coke is no longer willing or able to manage the program-it’s become a huge waste of time
Coke not Classy, summer bummer
Can I scan one bottle for all eight different experiences? Or do I just scan once when app first opens with Scan feature? But that seems like all you get is an annoying game. I’ve won a Cinemark coupon but how is that a prize? I have never thought spend twenty bucks a month to attend a movie with discount on concessions a reason to call myself a winner.
Sure there’s emotionally intriguing photos all over the sight and the artist in me appreciates greatness of the photographers, but win you try multiple times to scan a code on a round product the curves and contour misleading the Camera enough to get you angry enough that you realize more time is gone and nothing accomplished.
How come cherry coke bottles don’t work? On Friday mornings I get notifications telling me to join the scanning celebration but when click the notification it goes to app main page that has no mention of what the all important notification announced. Basically Coca-Cola has some clutch purses and a coffee illy machine that make no sense at all much like their scan scan app never knowing if you should try again or one time per bottle etc.
why am I making it worse with so many questions when I could simply just say something that explains this mess of an attempt at social media involvement; this app is brought to you by the company that is bringing back New Coke this summer. Yeah, I’m regretting having this app on my device, it’s not classy Coke, it stanky.
SECOND UPDATE POINTLESS ALSO
05/15
Updated app because I was forced to. I hate the updates because for some unknown reason they delete earned rewards that are in the app, some of these rewards are only accessible by the app only. I updated and I’m still getting the your app is out of date screen when attempting to login into the app. Now I am receiving a message that says that I need to update my IOS? Why and how is coke rewards app mining my data from my phone? Why do I need to update to any form of IOS? Especially when their updates did not specify any versions of IOS were need to update or run the app. Many people do not update their IOS for many reasons and I take issue with Coke demanding that I update my IOS and blocking me from the app. NOT OK! Per usual, this app is senseless and ridiculous.
12/14
So I’m really convinced that Coke has purposely created errors when scanning icons. Pre-update, there weren’t any scanning issues then they release an update that says that scanning would be improved, which after the update, scanning icons were and are still impossible. This is really ridiculous and sad that COKE is doing this. They have released 2 updates since the initial reboot and there has been zero improvement. Also, the fact that there aren’t any Special Holiday rewards available as there has been in past is even more indicative of how they have run the program in the ground and do not care or listen to loyal customers. Last year was the start of them offering barely anything to users to use codes with and this year its zero.
Thanks for nothing Coke.
I’m trying to also understand why my original review was deleted. This is not ok.
A second update was released several days ago after the original update was released, and scanning functionality is still poor. It literally takes 5 to 6 minutes to scan an icon when it actually does register and scan. I really do not understand what Coke is doing. It’s inconceivable to me that this update would go live without them being aware of the scanning issue. If this is one way to make the app obsolete and cause a decline in usage by customers, then it’s definitely working.

Rubber finger (Part of glove) in my Coca Cola Bottle
Hello... I purchased a bottle of Cherry Vanilla at my local Southern States while I was shopping. I drank 1/2 of the bottle put the lid back on,and took it home and put in my refrig. I got the bottle out today and poured it in a glass. And a rubber
finger holder was swimming in it. I took it out and put on a paper towel and when back to the store. It was so disquesting that it even made the clerk feel sick. They refunded my money and told me to write to the company. So here I am, writing to you. I did not literally get sick but i felt sick. It started to melt in the paper towel and it was terrible. I have a picture. What can you do about it?
Desired outcome: It would be nice if you would send me a couple cases of Coca in return for this horrible experience. Susan Grumbine 234 Harrow Place, charles Town WV
App is fine, program changes are disappointing
I finally got around to downloading the Coke app. I was excited because I had accumulated so many caps and was ready to scan away. The app itself seems user-friendly and simple enough, but I am extremely disappointed with where the Coke Rewards program has gone. The offers are almost exclusively contest entry opportunities. What happened to the ability to scan and donate to our National Parks or the USO etc.?

Rewards program horrible. Can’t even read codes
If the app can’t read the code, how do you expect us to? Haven’t had a single code read - from the hardest ones to easy enough that my 3 year old Nephew can decipher.
The rewards program, by itself, is horrible. Used to be great, but to enter codes for a chance to win a $50 gift card is just ridiculous. It used to be fun to collect codes, now, it’s not worth it. Buy what’s on sale now instead of Coke products.

Terrible
This app is terrible. It’s not user friendly. And doesn’t have what it claims to. I got an email saying to enter 10 codes for a free movie ticket, but when I went to the app, that deal wasn’t there. Then why say in the email it is available in the app?!?! The coke rewards program is terrible now. Having to physically keep all the codes instead of being able to deposit them is just terrible and inconvenient for all of your customers.

Glitchy app
All I can ever get this app to do is scan a symbol and play a game. There’s so much this app can do but nothing ever works. When I visit a Freestyle location, it never acknowledges the QR code. When I try to enter a sweepstakes it never accepts my entry. This is extremely disappointing for a large company like Coca-Cola and for a long-time Coca-Cola drinker, it makes me want to switch to Pepsi. This entire app is complete frustration!

Surprisingly Terrible
You would think a company such as Coca Cola would have an easy to use app...this is not the case. You can scan caps, or codes off boxes. If you want people to participate or care you need to keep up with the times. The website has its kinks too, sometimes it doesn’t allow you to log in, I’ve tried all the different browsers. Overall disappointing. Try to find somewhere else to input codes or just throw the codes away it’s pretty useless.

Annoying update process
Found it EXTREMELY annoying that when this latest update was issued, I was FORCED to update before I could use the app. No option to skip the update and do it later.
So I’m standing in the restaurant at the Coke Freestyle machine, and instead of getting my drink and being on my way, I’m waiting for a new version of the app to download. And telling other people, “no you go ahead, I’m waiting for this app to load.”
Thanks, Coke, that was fun.

Can’t even log in !
If I can’t even log in due to “system errors” how can I utilize the app?! I made an account through Facebook which worked fine. Then when I try to log in to the app, it just gives me an endless spinning circle. I’ve tried multiple times a day for the past week. If you care about your users- Please fix this immediately. I’ve already tossed 24 cans because I can’t have them stacking up in my house. That’s 24 cans I can no longer scan. Thank you for your time.

Rejects code every time
This icon isn’t valid for this promotion is what I keep getting.
It mis-scans every single time at least one character in each code. I’ve gone to 3 different promotions with 3 different bottle caps and every time I get the above message. I’ve scanned each code up to 3 times, corrected each code every time, but none of the codes have been accepted.
Coke used to have the best rewards program. The app is labeled as rewards, experiences and games; where are the rewards?

Broken Again!
A month or so ago the App came up but then crashed back to the iPhone Home Screen when the Roller Coaster finished its ride in Rewards. After a few weeks that was finally fixed. Just tried to Enter Sip & Scan Codes tonight but when the App came up it froze on the Home Screen for about 5 seconds and then crashed back to the iPhone Home Screen. I Powered Down then Powered Up and the same thing happened. This is on an iPhone 6s with IOS 12.4.6. Please Fix Pronto! Thank You.

Useless
The coke “rewards” program is now useless and a total waste of time. I have hundreds of caps that take me forever to type in only to win nothing in their sweepstakes. I used to get gift cards in return for saving and typing in hard to read codes. I got this app with the hope that it would help with entering codes. Nope! Doesn’t do that. With all the time and money spent developing an app, one would think it would help simplify one task. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD REWARDS PROGRAM!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Waste of time
The new app looks smooth and shiny, and the interface to read codes is way easier to deal with.
However, the app is regularly unable to complete code entry for unknown reasons unrelated to the cap or code on the bottle. Maybe 1/10 time that I try to enter a code will it complete the entry. Most of the time it just says “try again later”
Too bad they couldn’t get this to work as well as intended. The old system was cumbersome, but at least I could enter the codes most of the time.

Horrible
Wow. What an unbelievably horrible app for such a big company. I already have a Coca-Cola account because I use it every day on the mobile site to enter sweepstakes which lately hasn’t been working. So I thought I’d switch to the app. The keyboard covers the login button and you can’t close it or scroll down enough to login. There’s always something wrong with their sites or apps and when you try to get help all you get is a virtual assistant who doesn’t know how to answer your question.

SORRY EXCUSE FOR AN APP!
I should have heeded all the negative reviews, but thought Coke would have addressed them and give it a try. Unfortunately they did not. I have 6 Coke Zeros in my fridge and the App would only scan 3 of them. Of the 3 accepted 1 was scanned on the first attempt, 2nd accepted on the third attempt and the 3rd was accepted after the tenth time. The other three was a ‘no go’ on the scan. Coke needs to fire the developer of this App AND demand their money back for paying someone to come up with this SORRY EXCUSE OF AN APP!

Manual Entry Doesn’t Work
I was excited about Coke FINALLY developing an app for their rewards program. The only problem: I’ve entered the code from a 12 pack multiple times, only to be met with the message that the code was entered wrong [despite the fact it’s NOT & I even tried typing possible alternate characters (i.e., zero vs. the letter O)]. The other problem I encountered was the “spinning wheel of death” in which the app did absolutely nothing but spin denoting zero progress after a code was entered & apparently “accepted.”
Disappointing!

Doesn’t capture reward points
At first this app worked fine in camera capturing rewards codes off of Coke products. But one month in, every time I tried to capture the points on my phone camera the app said it couldn’t find any code to capture. I made sure the camera was working and that there was good light for the code to be “capture”, but every single time since I have been unable to capture the points. This is the only way to capture points as there is no where to manually enter the code. If I don’t hear back soon from Coke I’m getting this worthless app off my iPhone.

No longer saving codes
I’m so sad about the new program (if you can call it that) Sweepstakes and instant wins are useless and not worth the effort.
I have been a loyal user for years now. I just came to look at reviews to see if other people felt the same.
Unfortunately for Coke, I am not alone. I’d much rather save codes to actually get something!
Or if I donate them, how much does the recipient receive? How many codes are needed per dollar? Does it state it anywhere? Very frustrating. I’m keeping the app for now, hoping it will change for the better- fingers crossed!

UX Fail
So it evidently did not like my password because it wanted me to change it. No way to cancel, just empty fields for the old password and the new password. Nevermind that I can log into the website and not have to update my password. So I updated my password on the website so I could have 1password generate and remember the password. All good there. Let's try the app again. Nope, I'm stuck in the update password screen. Hello, my old password won't work anymore, perhaps you should be asking me to re-login instead. Killed the app and tried again. To bad it only shows the login screen long enough to start the animation to put the change password screen on top. Goodbye App- delete.
