Recieved a letter in the mail from a collection agency which is being run out of a house in Carson City NV. The letter states that I have charge that is in collections for somthing, someone called Pure Garcinia. I have attempted to call this shady operation but not to my surprise, there is no one who answers the phone. Would be curious to hear from others who may have recieved a similar letter as I will be pursuing legal action to it's fullest including making a trip to his little yellow house and dragging him out into the street bu his ears.
I received the same letter today for magazines so if you do file a law suit please let me know because I would like to join it and I hope they are not trying to hit my credit.
I have had calls and letters from this collect pros payments made easy
I have never ordered this product .and they want me to pay 332.50 $ bill.
I got one to stating I owe 332.50 for entertainment weekly. I have never bought this or read this magazine. I did finally talk to someone who said I could pay it and then dispute it. I told her I wasn't paying for something that I never ordered or recieved. She hung up on me. I would be interested in the lawsuit if one happens
I just received a pink collection notice from Collect Pros stating that I owed $365.75 for Entertainment Weekly magazine which I have never ordered or received. It says must dispute online or by letter. Therefore, I just went on their website, put in my reference # & the message received was that my dispute was received. Than a notice says they have a recording of customer agreeing to purchase . I want to hear that recording.
I tried calling both # listed ..the first # [protected] recording asks how would you like to pay? The other # for customer service [protected] says the cell phone # was not available.
I am one pissed off B*@ch! What can I do? Advise anyone?
I have also received a letter from Collect Pros. The notice was on pink paper indicating that
I owed $249.10 for US Weekly Magazine. When I called the number provided, all auto voice.
This felt like a scam from the get go, that's how I ended up on this site. I'm so relieved to know
that it is indeed a scam. I am, however, not at all happy about wasting my time, energy and being stressed out trying to prove to myself that this is a total rip off scam. Whoever the
genius behind this one is not the brightest star in sky by any stretch!

I received one that said that i own 369 dollars from magazine (entertainment weekly)
I also received one today for 365.75 for US Weekly. I've never received this magazine nor anything out of it. I'm going to contact the FBI and my Visa company to find out what other actions I can take to help catch these fraud makers.
I'll be keeping an eye on this site to see if there are any others to add to our group.
I'm in Utah.
Received a bill for $224.15 for entertainment weekly magazine. Never ordered this. Never received this. This is totally BOGUS. how can I get them reported to authorities for this.
My letter was for a magazine subscription. They are claiming I owe $299.25 for US Weekly! No one answers their phone...I have been on hold for a half hour now! I am sending this letter to my States Attorneys office...hopefully, no one has fallen for this scam!
I recieved a letter in the mail yesterday from them in the amount of $365.75! For Entertainment Weekly magazine! I don't even read magazines. I went on BBB website and they are listed as a fraud company. I contacted the phone number on the letter. After a 20 minute wait, I got someone named "Victoria" on the phone. She was of no help. I asked to speak to a supervisor. She went on to lie and say that there were not any. Then when I threatened her with the BBB she said they were all in a conference. I then contacted Entertainment Weekly who went on to let me know that Collect Pros is a scam! They have been using their name to try to get people to send payments to them. She asked for me to fax in a copy of the letter I recieved to their corporate office and they are taking action with their legal department. Anyone who recieves a letter from them, I suggest contacting the company directly that they are claining you owe money to. I feel bad for the people who fal for the scam.
I received a letter from collect pros stating that I owe a bill for US Weekly Magazine for $332.50. I have never ordered this magazine nor have I ever received one. Anyway I tried to call and dispute the validity of this charge. Of course you could not talk to a person. It gives you the option to talk to a customer service rep, but guess what after 10 minutes of waiting on the phone I decided that this was a scam . Anyway I am not sending anyone anything that I know I don't owe them. Much less an absurd amount for a magazine that I wouldn't purchase. This makes me furious. Why don't these crooks do something else besides stealing from hard working people.
I also received this letter stating that I owed $274.05 from some magazine that I never ordered and have no idea where it may have come from. It is a scam and I am throwing it in the trash
I just got one claiming I owed $365.75 for US Weekly Magazine. (Which I never have even READ!) I knew it was a Scam right away as $365 bucks would have meant I did not pay form the magazine for like.., 20 YEARS! Going to contact the BBB righ as soon as I get done typing. Do the SAME!
I received a letter from Collect Pros demanding debt of $299.25 for US Weekly Magazine 5/19/2015. This is a scam. Do not call & give any credit card information. SL/Moore, Ok
I just received a letter today 5/18/2015 saying I owe $299.25 for subscribing to Entertainment Weekly Magazine. I did NOT subscribe to this magazine. I contacted the number provided and all I got is a recording. I will not pay these clowns and I'm going to contact law enforcement. And if I have to, I will contact my attorney and take legal action.
Well I am now a member of this obviously growing group. Today I received the letter, like the others for $365.75 for Entertainment Weekly, which I never subscribed to, however it does come here. I don't know why, but I am not paying for it no matter who bills me. I don't know how this Collect Pro outfit got my name. I typed up a snippy little letter to them, but I may just save it for later and ignore this initial notice and see what happens. I may call the local BBB Tuesday and ask them who I should report this crap to. They seem to like that $365.75 figure though. We all owe that same amount for magazines, amazing!
I also received a letter from Collect Pros claiming I owed for a product called Dermalay Face Serum. I called the Dermalay company and they show no such debt in their system. This is obviously a scam. I initially tried to call Collect Pros but as others have said...mailbox was full. Of course.
I received a letter today (5/23/15) stating that I owe $274.05 for Entertainment Weekly Magazine, I have never ordered this magazine. I am truly grateful for finding this site, and unfortunately there are more innocent people being subjected to such a horrible fraud. Just wondering if there are any federal or state agencies that could be contacted seeing that this SCAM seems to be going to many people in different places. I will be contacting my state Attorney Generals office, these people need to be stopped, good grief find a legal hobby.
Letter received to collect a debt of $274.05 for entertainment weekly magazine. I do not now or ever have ordered this magazine. checked on-line and this appears to be a scam as many people have the same story as mine from Collect Pros.
I got a letter in the mail from them yesterday claiming that I owe them $365.75 for Entertainment Weekly Magazine's. I didn't even get all of the magazines from my trial. They have to be out of their everlasting mind if they would ever think that I would pay that much for a few magazines, let alone 1 TRIAL subscription when I could get them cheaper at the store. The number they have on my letter is different from those. It's: [protected] & the address is P.O. Box 4133.
This is not my bill and i didn't subscribe to this magazine. I only subscribe to ebony and jet. I don't like weekly entertainment. This is fraud.
I received a letter yesterday (Saturday before a holiday weekend) stating I owed $365.75 for ordering Entertainment Weekly on 10/4/14 according to the information on their website. I used the reference number they had on their notice to find this information.. I've never ordered or received that magazine. I am a retired widow, have a FICO score of 813 and don't need my credit destroyed after all these yrs. The letter came from Carson City NV, but the insert had a detachment to send my check to a P O Box in Woburn MA. Notice was dated May 20th and said I had 30 days to pay. I also tried calling the number listed, but got a recording.. Oh yes, it says for "your" convenience you can make a secure payment online at their website which means they would then have your credit card or bank acct information.
I got the same letter from these crooks for entertainment weekly they want $274.05 for a magazine I never ordered . If I keep getting these I think I will have to get a lawyer and sue for harassment. Hope KARMA bites you Collect Pros!
Have never had these magazines
I too have gotten a pink letter from this Collect Pros ###. They say I owe $365 for a damn magazine subscription from Entertainment Weekly. Why the hell would I pay that much money for something I can find on the Internet. I checked my credit report and nothing was on there about that.
I completely agree with taking legal action against these people, they are trying to rip of hundreds if not thousands of people. Something needs to be done, this is ridiculous!
I have had the same experience with them 2 times now! After the first time I had to change my phone number because they were so nasty and harassing. Today I received a bill for a magazine that I've never subscribed to asking for a large amount of money.
Obviously this company is fraudulent. I believe the best thing to do now is to report them to the Better Business Bureau in their state, as well as to the Attorney General, I'm sure they'd love to hear about this fraudulent company conducting business!
I just got a letter from them myself for 299.95 for US WEEKLY. I looked them up online and it says I purchased a subscription through the phone with a company called 'LEVY 9 MAGAZINE CONSULTING.' but when I looked up the company Levy 9 all I found was Levy 9 Car Consulting. This is what it says on the BBB for Collect Pros:
The website domains collectpros.com and gscmcollections.com are registered to Santrinico Enterprises Ltd. in Larnaca, Cyprus. The Republic of Cyprus is an island country in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea - See more at: http://www.bbb.org/reno/business-reviews/collection-agencies/collect-pros-in-carson-city-nv-90017305#sthash.nRExl3St.dpuf
Since I couldn't find anything on Levy 9 Magazine Consulting I decided to all US Weekly's customer service and they told me that tis company is a SCAM. Apparently they are aware that Collector Pros is sending notices out in their name and they assured me that I have no pending debt with this magazine. Also they asked me to forward them a copy of the letter I got int he mail because they are currently having legal investigate the company.
So anyone who gets a letter saying you owe for US WEEKLY magazine send them an email at usweekly@customersvc.com with a scanned copy of the letter you received and let them know what's going on. Also I went to the CP website and disputed the charge which led to a page saying they would ot pursue the debt any longer. I guess now it's time to play the waiting game and see what happens.

Got the same bill saying I owe over $300 for Entertainment Weekly. I've NEVER bought that magazine at a news stand yet alone subscribed for it! Little do they know my work experience, I know WAY more than them with the FDCPA and I'm going at this company both BOTH barrels loaded! By the time I'm done with them, they'll be out of business!
WHOA, Y'all think yours is bad...much to my disbelief my scam charge says: Entertainment Weekly Magazine
Amount Due: $365.75
I JUST KNEW this had to be a scam! Not only that but in the last month, I received two phone calls about winning PCH! Grrrrr... Wait til I get my hands on these looooosers!
Idk who to file w/ but I'm going on a hunt. What the heck right?! I'm outta work & my chores are finished...(most of 'em!) ;) God Bless, let's get these Guys!
I also got a bill in the mail for magazines that I never ordered for Entertainment Weekly, my bill was for $365.75 we all need to report this to the Better Business Beauro (sorry don't know correct spell OR SOME PROPER AUTHORITIES ) but, anyone who has received a letter from them we all need to put a stop to this, cause imaging an elderly person getting one of these letters & feels lime they have to pay the bill & they actually do that would be really sad, I am also going to post a warning onto Facebook (we all should post it to spread this warning faster) about this so that word can spread about this scam, we all work to hard for our money to just hand it over to some idiot scammer, & yeah, when you call the phone number, there is no one to take your call the recording just tells you to press this press that to "pay your bill" if you think that I am just gonna sit here & take that, you are "dead wrong", so let's all band together & spread our ""warning" to all others so we can put a stop to these SCAMMERS! & just one more thing, who is dumb enough to buy Entertainment Magazine for $365.75 yer' killin' me & oh yes I am reporting this, & so should all of you who also recieved a letter from these people(savages)
Received notice of collection of debt for US Weekly Magazine for the amount of 332.50. Never ordered magazine so feel this is a scam.
i also recieved this letter stating that i owe $365.75 to a entertainment weekly magazine i have never heard of this company and i am just wondering how they got my name and address i live on a fixed income and would never buy anything for that kind of money maybe $10.00 i would spend but $365.75 i don't even have that kind of money '' so i would like any one that can offer any kind of help on what i should do with this letter if anyone has any suggestions or advice it would be greatly appreciated i thank everyone for your help thank you also thank you for your time
I just received a bill for $332.50 from the fraud ###.It too was for entertainment weekly. That was for a one yr subscription, a little expensive for one yr.i would think.I never ordered the magazine, never received one issue.I'm an older man with health and no money issues, or I would meet u at the little yellow house and help u pull him out in the road.I hope u all take him to the cleaners legally or other wise.Maybe anonymous could take them down.
Got the same bill that was in my minor child's name saying she owe $365.75 for Wnterainment Weekly Magazine. I have never ordered that magazine and have not even received a single issue. I disputed this claim on the internet and hope to never hear from this company again. It is obviously a SCAM!
And I got my "collection notice" in the mail today as well for the $365.75 Entertainment Weekly magazine that I've never gotten or ordered. I really hope there are people out there who don't fall for this scam. I'd like them to pay me that for the stress of opening their junk mail! Sounds like some people need some serious jail time for this bull!
We received a collection letter today for Entertainment Weekly Magazine for $274.05! We don't subscribe to any paid magazines! I attached the letter and envelope it came in.
We received a letter from Collect Pros today, regarding $274.05 due for Entertainment Weekly Magazine. We don't subscribe to any paid magazines!
Collect pros is a scam. I reported them to USPIS as it is also a form of mail fraud. If enough people report it, they will have to investigate it. So, please, everyone who was scammed, report it. If its not reported enough, it doesn't get investigated. I also received the letter requiring payment of 365.75 for Entertainment weekly magazine. I never order nor received this magazine. I then went to collectpros.com/dispute/ and filed a dispute there telling them I reported them to USPIS. I then received a confirmation of dispute filed and that I owe nothing.
Beware consumers. Be smart!
I just received a letter from Collect Pros saying that I owe $332.50 for my subscription to Entertainment Weekly Magazine. The letter states that the balance is 30 days overdue. When I call the number on the letter, I just keep getting a recording. When I press the option to talk to someone I just keep getting the same recording saying I can pay my bill online, by phone or by mail. I cannot get to a human being! I did get in the recording that if I put in www.collectpros.com/dispute that I would be able to file the dispute online, however; when I do this I get a message that says my account information was verified and that they have an audio recording of me agreeing to the terms. I would NEVER agree to pay that kind of money for a magazine that is of no interest to me! Legally, they have to produce the audio recording (which they don't have) at my request. This is a total scam!
Here is the information for the dispute site: Note that the purchase date says 12-14-14, but according to the letter I am only 30 days overdue!
Amount Due: $332.50
