I recently bought a 7-day Portuguese 19.2K Gold Love Ring from Columbia Jewelers for $586. I was really excited to receive it, so I paid extra for express shipping. However, when I received my package, I was disappointed to find out that it was shipped via basic first-class mail through USPS. I placed my order on 12/11/2020, and it's now 12/19/2020, but my package never arrived. During the online checkout process, it stated that delivery would be on 12/14/2020, but that didn't happen.

I don't understand why Columbia Jewelers uses USPS to ship their jewelry without insurance. It's completely unacceptable and negligent. I was having the ring delivered to Manhattan, and you would think that the item would be insured in case it gets lost or stolen. Unfortunately, USPS has no information other than the package is somewhere within their shipping system.

Now, I'm out nearly $600, and I don't have the ring that I was so excited to receive. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the whole experience. I hope that Columbia Jewelers will reconsider their shipping methods and use a more reliable and insured shipping service in the future.
