Complete Air Mechanical cleaned my duck work and my dryer vent
Complete Air Mechanical cleaned my duck work and my dryer vent. Very happy with the result. Would highly recommend them.
I had problems with my AC system, which is like 25 years old
I had problems with my AC system, which is like 25 years old. It decided to stop working right in the middle of July, can you believe it? So, I reached out to Complete Air and this guy named Beau showed up to check it out. He gave me the bad news that I needed a new system, but the good news was that he managed to get it up and running again. We talked about the options and he told me how much the new system would cost. We decided to go ahead and replace it, and they scheduled it for the next day. The technicians who came to install it were really great, like top-notch. Seriously, everyone I dealt with, from the people in the office to the techs and installers, were fantastic. I totally recommend this company.
My AC ain't been workin' since July 15th
My AC ain't been workin' since July 15th. At first, they said it just needed some more refrigerant, so they charged me $325 for that. But guess what? It didn't fix the dang problem! So I called up Complete Air Mechanical again. This time, the technician said I needed to change the evaporator coil and refill the refrigerant gas again. And guess what? They wanted me to pay another $325! Can you believe that? I have this warranty thing called American Home Shield, and they covered the cost of the coil, but I still had to pay out of my own pocket for the refrigerant. And guess what? My AC still ain't workin'! I called 'em up again this mornin', and they gave me an appointment for Thursday. But let me tell ya, it's been real tough livin' without AC since July 15th. My kids can't sleep at night 'cause it's so dang hot. I shouldn't have had to pay $325 a second time, and even after I did, they still ain't fixed the problem. And now I gotta wait 'til Thursday to get it looked at again. I ain't happy with this service at all.
This company is the worst I've ever seen
This company is the worst I've ever seen. Unbelievable. They came to fix my AC that was covered by First American Home Warranty. After making multiple visits, the AC started working for 3 weeks and then died again. I called FAHW and had another ticket logged. Meanwhile, this company sent me an invoice saying that I owe them $225. $75 for a service call, which is in my contract with FAHW. $150 for some kind of adjustment they made while repairing/installing a new part, which we had no knowledge of. It was never approved or communicated to us. I got a nasty email from a lady threatening me with a lien against my house and interest on top, etc. I told her I can pay $75 even though my AC is still down, but I can't pay $150. Well, she didn't agree with me and said she will be taking legal action against my house and us. The point is, do you really want to deal with a company that not only lets you down but also demands more money that was never agreed upon and then threatens you with a lien, etc.? Do your research before calling these people. I have asked FAHW to never send Complete Air Mech to any of our properties. Never - ever.
I've been without AC for days in the July heat of Florida
I've been without AC for days in the July heat of Florida. We had a tech come out on Thursday for a diagnosis and he determined we needed a circuit board which of course was something that couldn't be installed same day. When he made it out Friday, he replaced the circuit board and hung around long enough to get paid and left immediately. The air didn't seem to be blowing as cold as my 19 seer Trane system should but we thought it was just getting started back up- and then it stopped working. Blows only hot air. We called Complete Air back immediately and received only a recorded message. When I finally received a call back I explained my situation- I had just shelled out over $1000 dollars to have my AC fixed and my AC wasn't fixed. I thought this was a respectable company and they would immediately send a tech back out to make this right. Nope. I was told by Deborah that we had to wait until Saturday between 12-3 for service. That is a full 16.5-19.5 hours extra to wait for AC with heat in the mid 90's. Unfortunately this woman has told us that there are other customers "ahead of us". This seems a little ridiculous since to a rational person and a legitimate business if you pay for a service you get a service. Not to the crooks at this company. They have our money and have decided we can live almost a full extra day in an uninhabitable house with a 4 year old, because that is the kind of people they are and how little they care about their customers. Extremely poor customer service from Deborah, who kept saying other people were basically more important (after all, they already have OUR money, no use servicing us). AC not fixed and out $1000 dollars we could have used to stay at a hotel instead of giving it to a company woth zero empathy or sense of professionalism. Do not use this company if your goal is to have a working AC.
Horrible customer service!
Horrible customer service! Use this company at your own risk. A tech was sent out on May 12th to look at our AC unit. I heard nothing from the company or my warranty company about the next steps. I called the warranty company on Friday, May 14. They said the tech was out on an emergency and didn't turn in the work order. So, I waited a couple of days to call back (Tuesday, May 18). Again, they said the work order wasn't turned in. I called Complete Air directly, no answer. I left a message, no call back. I called the next day, left another message, no answer and no call back again. Finally, the work order was submitted, and the part was ordered 3 weeks later. They now have an additional fee they want to charge to schedule the appointment for the mechanic to come out. The worst part of this was the crazy amount they charge for the refrigerant. We used a different company before, and they charged half the cost per pound that Complete Air charges. The lady in the office is very rude. I called to ask about the modification fee of $175. She, Lisa, flipped out. Yelling, saying you were told about the cost and now you have a problem paying the fee. I then returned the attitude. I just wanted to know if they were trying to pay for their lunch on my dime because no one seemed to give us a clear explanation of why they were doing a modification. I asked the mechanic, but he didn't explain, saying I should call the office because he was in the middle of welding and wasn't sure. So, we called the office, and we were met with Attitude Lisa. This company is a rip off. They are overcharging customers. Lisa called the mechanic and got their stories straight so now he knows what the modification is for and tries to explain it to me. I read several reviews on this company and thought, they couldn't be that bad. I was wrong. The mechanic finished the job and ran inside and asked me 'Do you feel it' and was running out just as fast as he could. He didn't stick around 5 mins to see if the AC was cooling. Horrible customer service. Use this company at your own risk.
I gotta say, this company ain't the one I'd call first to fix my AC or heat
I gotta say, this company ain't the one I'd call first to fix my AC or heat. My air conditioner hadn't been serviced in ages, so I decided to give them a ring. Made an appointment for them to come and service it, and they told me a bunch of things needed fixing. They said it didn't all have to be done at once, but the stuff that did need fixing was gonna cost me a pretty penny. I figured, hey, they're the experts, right? I ain't no AC specialist, so I trusted their word.
On the second visit, they hit me with this maintenance agreement thingy. Gold, Silver, Platinum, you know the drill. I went with the Silver option. Supposed to get 2 maintenance calls within the year, free service calls, no overtime charges, priority service, and 1 lb of refrigerant annually. The first visit went well, they replaced something from the list. But then, in the middle of August, my AC completely died on a weekend. I signed that agreement back in May, mind you. So I called 'em up on a Saturday night, but never got a call back. I reached out again on Monday, and they claimed they never got my call. Finally set up an appointment, but they didn't show up until Tuesday to fix it. I mean, seriously? If I'm a priority, why'd it take so long? I let it slide, though.
My maintenance was scheduled for November, and this older fella came to do the first one. Nice guy, I gotta say. We got something else fixed from the list, but he never even came inside to check out my unit. I called 'em up the following week to let 'em know, and they tried to get him to come back. But my daughter's workplace had a Covid scare, so nothing ever got set up again. They didn't even bother calling me back until it was time for my second maintenance. This is now the third appointment they've canceled on me. The first one was set for a Friday, from 12 to 5. I waited patiently, but then Debbie called at 5:30 to say it'd be another 45 minutes. So we rescheduled for a Friday morning, but they canceled again 'cause their workers were running behind. And today was supposed to be the last day they were coming, but one employee had dental surgery and the other just didn't show up. My appointment was from 8 to 12, and they had the audacity to call at 10:55, almost 3 hours into my scheduled time. I don't know about you, but my time is precious, and I ain't got 3 to 5 hours to waste waiting for someone to show up at my house.
I'm giving 'em one star, but honestly, I wish I could give 'em none. All I gotta say is, if this review helps the next person decide which company to go with, go with someone else. Rose A. Stevens, a disappointed customer
On August 21, our home air conditioner stopped working
On August 21, our home air conditioner stopped working. My wife contacted our home warranty company, *** (***), and they assigned Complete Air Mechanical of Central Florida to fix it. I called Complete Air right away to schedule a visit, but they said they couldn't come until August 23rd. The technician who came on August 23rd said we had a leak inside and outside, so the whole system needed to be replaced. They said they would contact *** to decide if they would repair or replace the unit. We were told Complete Air would let us know in a day or two. On August 25th, I called Complete Air to check on the status, but they hadn't finished talking to *** yet. They said they would work on it. On August 26th, I called again and Deborah said *** agreed to replace the entire system. They needed to order the parts. From August 27th to September 6th, my wife and I contacted both *** and Complete Air for updates on the parts, but neither could give us any information. On September 7th, I spoke to *** and they said the parts were ordered and Complete Air should have them by September 14th or sooner. On September 9th, my wife called Deborah to schedule the AC repair, but she said *** ordered the wrong heat strip part. They needed to order a new one. On September 9th, my wife called *** and they said Complete Air gave them the wrong part number to order. From September 9th to 13th, we contacted both *** and Complete Air, but they just blamed each other. Communicating with Complete Air was a nightmare. We couldn't reach Deborah most of the time, and when we did, she said she would call us back but never did. While *** and Complete Air played the blame game, my family (including two small children) and I suffered in the hot Florida weather. I told both *** and Complete Air that my 6-year-old couldn't handle the heat, and my hardwood floors were at risk of expanding. But it seems like neither *** nor Complete Air cared about our situation. It's been 4 weeks without AC in this hot Florida weather, and the communication with Complete Air has been a nightmare.
