Not being provided with a number for my son to use in bop
Since October 8th 2024, my son was transferred from FCI Fesup to FCI Memphis. I talked to your customer support and he is unable to get a Memphis number for me. He says the delay is with the support team. I am continuing to pay for this service and do not have a number that my son can use
Could you please help me with getting that new number so my son can make calls home?

These people called me every week to take money out of my account and I kept telling them my son was in the shu that to hold the service and they still took money from my account and they do not want to refund me. I do not recommend this service they are total rip off! They are obviously about taking the money and not customer service and treating people fairly! 9 months later and still not received my refund!!!
In September 2015 I subscribed for their services and discovered 15 minutes later they didn't support my son's facility. I called customer service immediately to request a refund. Was told out could be 4- 6wks! I have called almost every month since and gotten nothing but the run around! There's NO supervisor or higher up to talk to!?!? Really?!?! Was told 8-12wks at one point as well...9 MONTHS LATER...STILL NO REFUND!

I set up this account in November. I was charged a ridiculous amount and had to go through several different services and had to aptly each of them to work with cons call home. It cost me$ 120.00 to set the Damn account up, and it took several hours to do th o s and get all the connections lined up to ensure I could receive my calls from my friend in prison. I set up the account, and knew I would not be using their services after the money I applied ran out. My friend was transferred the beginning of January and we stayed in contact via mail. I was reviewing my bank card statement, and was pissed to say 're leaf when I saw that cons call home had been debiting my account or $30.50 for the past three months, and I hadn't even been using the Damn account. Then, I April, they get real greedy and charge an extra $5.00 out of nowhere for who knows what. Now. I get to drain several more hours, and days to try and get my $130.00 back from these crooks. True that...crooks...crooks and more crooked than I could have imagined. They went into my personal account and continually drew out money that was mine to pay my bills, and they straight up robbed me, and when they saw they were getting away with it, these greedy bast***s tax an additional 5 bucks, I'm so irritated. Don't use this outfit. They say it costs a small, amount to set up...###, it cost me over $100.00 just to set up. And then they stole $130.00 after that first ridiculous amount. Don't use these a**holes

I have been using this service for over a year and have been over more then 100 mins. and never have you turned off my service for 72 mins. When I asked to talk to a supervisor I was told there are none I have paid for my min this month 300 and you mean to tell me that they can't take the 72 min that I'm over from the 300 min I have unused. What kind of company has no supervisors on duty ther has to be some one in charge I'm dissappointed with the whole service and your operators talking to me like I'm a child I'm probably older then all of them

It sounded too good to be true ! If you live In Florida or Texas the doc require the inmate to show phone records show that the phone number is on contract once they see that they determine to approve it if they do then you need to make an account with secures and add funs ! I spoke to Ty ext 523 he said he was going to send me an email with 2 numbers and after that we were going to all secures to setup an an account lol how about secures is the one who told me about the papers required .. I hope I get my money back I just made an account let's see the lie they are going to use ! I already contacted my credit card I filed a complaint ! They will fool you ! The website looks great but do your research people ! Let's shut them down !

This company needs to be shut down! I went through the internet and set up an account with this company for my sons father to be able to call and speak with him. It took my credit card number and sent me to a blank screen. So I found a number to contact the company and have been gettin the run around all day. First they said someone would be contacting me within a couple of hours. Well someone did but it wasn't with a number to use, it was them trying to get me to sign up for a yearly package! When I told the guy there's no way I would gi ve them more money he hung up on me. Also, the computer said it was charging my card $24.99 and they charged $30. Each person I talk too tells me something different and they refuse to refund my money. They said I agreed to terms and conditions which I did NOT. Never even got to a screen for that! Don't fall for this! Its a total scam!

Contacted cons call home to get a phone number for my son to call who is an inmate at Waymart correctional Institution. I was given a number for him to call. He submitted it to the institution for an approval and was refused to call this number. I called cons call home and spoke to a Mwata and he told me he would give me another number that would work with a different prefix. He stalled and told me to wait 5 days for him to call with this number and that if I didn't hear from him to call back. Well I didn't hear from him and I called back.. I spoke to someone else and was told they would call back with another number. I then called the institution and was told that this company was run by released inmates and that they were an illegal outfit. They also told me they were in the process of stopping this company from this practice. I waited several more days and I knew they were stalling probably because of a time limit to get your money back and I was right. Finally I got a call back after about another week and was given another number with the same prefix that I knew wouldn't work. I explained that this number wouldn't work and that if I wanted another number I would have to pay another 5.00. I told them I wasn't paying them any more money and that I wanted my money back. I was refused because of the time limit they told me. I explained to them that the phone numbers they had given me never worked and that I wanted my money back, They refused. Isn't it funny how you dont see complaints until after you call "Cons call home" the name alone should have warned me! however, I signed up March 28th, gave son number on Easter Sunday, GUESS WHAT '"happened! The number cannot accept collect calls, I have already given initial payment of $29.45 for enrollment and 1st month. IT DOES NOT WORK AND I CAN'T GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM. So i will contact my credit card and get a refund and issue a fraud alert! No only did I get sucked in, my son keeps calling but call will not be put through because "this phone is not set up for collect calls" then they give the number for Global Tel Link [protected], good grief I could have gone through them to start with and by passed this idiots.

I contracted their Services in May 2012 and paid $105 for a year for 100 minutes per mounth. They gave me a local number and told me that when called by my son in Arizona called that number it would connect to my phone. It never happened. I reqquested my refund on June 6th and to this day I haven't receeived it. I have called their reps 7 times and about 8 E-Mails with only the excuse that it has been sent to the audit Dept. ConsCallHome is a regulated phone carrier providing service to people who have friends or a family member who is incarcerated. You were provided a local working number, your number was tested and you were not only able to receive calls you did receive calls from your son.
Prison facilities contract their phone service to prison phone carriers, these phone carriers maintain the phones inside the facilities and unfortunately in your case they blocked the calls from your son. Simply you had a working number from a regulated phone company and the prison phone carrier decided to interfere with your telephone service and blocked your calls. Your refund as was stated has been issued.
Cons call home is a true rip off
My son is in jail in Mississippi and I live in GA I found this cons call home and was desperate to talk to my son so I set up what they said would be as land line from Miss. so my son could call home.
That was $59.54 so I set this up on my Wall-Mart money card this past Saturday 7/14/12 it is know the 19th day of July and we still have not been able to use the number they have given me for a land line from Miss. The number they issued was [protected] on the 17th of July they charged me 37.00 for a call we have not even made it was a fee for a past due balance we never used the phone.
Know there charging me a 19.00 fee to set this up so so far I have lost 56.00 dollars. This is a scam and they they take your desperation and milk it for all the money they can. Please no one should go threw what we have been threw in the last 6 days…
I called to set it up for my son to call more from prison in San Diego, I live in Nevada, and the customer service person was very nice and helpful. He gave me a number right then and there. My cc went through for$32, and THEN I was informed that I would need to call GTL (global tel link) to set up with them an account to use the number that was provided by the Cons call home. For an additional fee of approximately $25 per month. So why would I need them?! So I cancelled the account and was told it would take 6-10 weeks for my refund. The whole thing is a scam. The "CON" part of the name of the company is correct. But shame on them for preying on the loved ones of prison inmates. Not only is my son being punished, but I am as well. I'm disabled and on a fixed income.

Back on 10/21/11 they quickly credited my credit card for the amount of $33.60. When I called them within an hour to tell them that their service was useless and requested a refund they told me they would only give me a partial refund because there was a fee for setting up the account. I believe Colt knew the entire time that GTL would not accept the service they provided. I've called them several times asking where my refund was and they kept telling me it would be another week or two. It's been almost 3 months now and they still HAVEN'T refunded me one penny.

My son is in a Los Angeles county jail. Conscallhome advertised that they can provide phone service at a discounted rate. They can't. They provide a recycled phone number for my son to use. I still have to pay the phone provider of the jail - plus pay conscallhome. They even pop up on a google search when I searched for global tel link who is the provider of phone service for the jail. They will not refund me my sign up fee of almost 20 dollars. I feel they are taking advantage of people.

I cannot believe this company. A week ago, I found CONS CALL HOME on google. I have a family member that is in jail and I initially was using GLOBAL TEL* who is the phone provider for prepaid accounts with this jail facility... When I called Cons Call Home and spoke to Chris ([protected] x519) he told me that he could give me a local number to the jail so that it would cost me $1-$2 per collect call as apposed to the $4 per collect call that Global Tel was charging me. He said that I would pay a one-time fee of $20 and the service would be $39.99 per month for 1, 000 minutes/2 collect calls per day and at $1-$2 per call. Sounds great right? Wrong! I realized after a couple of collect calls that my balance kept decreasing by $4 every time I received a collect call... There was no difference WHAT SO EVER in the price that Global Tel was charging me and what Cons Call Home was charging me! So what's the point? I just got flat out ripped off. Oh wait, let me not forget to mention that NOT ONLY did I pay a total of $60 to Cons Call Home, but I also STILL had to put money into my Global Tel* account to even make this whole thing work. OK, So Chris tells me that he'd call me in a week to see if this is working out for me...He never called. I literally just called him 10 minutes ago or so and explained to him how this is not doing anything for me and he said, "oh yeah then you should cancel." So I asked him if I could cancel and he said that I'm A DAY too late. Really? So I told him, "wait, you're supposed to call me and you never did" and he says, "well, I was going to call you in 23 minutes". So, if I really am a day too late, why would you call me a day too late to cancel? Because they set it up that way so it's too late to get your money back. GET A REAL JOB! Oh and I will be posting this on my facebook account, I'm calling my state Attorney General, Get Jesse, and the Better Business Bureau...What's right is right, but what's wrong is wrong..and this my, friend is SO WRONG! my complaint is the this company never informed me that if my son who is in prison could not get connected to me that i would not me refunded my funds. the whole time i have been calling them telling them that my child has been trying to call me and he is not getting through to me., they tried all things to get us connected but to no avail. now they say that they told me from the start that if i can not get connected to my child that i have so many days to be refunded, in the mean while they are calling me telling me that they are workin on the problem and i must be on the other end. my son called my the first day of the connection and never could connect with me again.

Refund setup fee
About an hour ago I was looking at the various companies that said they could save on long distance calls from the prisons. Colt from CCH called me almost as soon as I keyed in my phone number. All sounded good and they gave me a California phone number for my inmate and told me to call GTL (Global Tel Link) and set up an account with that number. But then he said NOT to mention CCH to GTL when I contacted them to set up the account. My warning flags went up, but by then he already had my money. WELLLL, when I spoke with GTL they said the phone number belonged to someone else and that I would have to fax a copy of the phone bill AND and electric bill. GTL specifically stated that the electric bill MUST have a California address to correspond with the area code on the phone bill, NOT FROM ANOTHER STATE. Since I don't live in California, I have no electric bill from there. When I called CCH back Colt said they would refund the initial monthly charge BUT NOTE the $19.50 set up fee. When I tried to argue the point he told me it was legal for them to keep the set up fee. I then used the angle that if the company was in business for years as he previously stated they should know that GTL would not permit me to set up an account with the California phone number. He still insisted that they have the right to keep the set up fee.

In November 2010, I paid for a year of phone service for my son in prison. He was released and I made an initial request in January 2011 to have a refund for the remaining amount to be sent to my account. I was told that it would take 4 to 6 weeks for this refund to be processed. After several months, I contacted the company to find out why I had not received my refund. I was told that another request would be sent to their billing department for my refund. After another 4 to 6 weeks, I contact this company again. I spoke with a supervisor, Jason, who said he would check into it and call me back that afternoon. I never heard from Jason. I called again and spoke with Adam. He said he would put in another request and since I had spoken with Jason, that he would have Jason call me. When I had not heard from Jason by late afternoon, I called again. I spoke with Eric who told me Jason was off that day. I asked to speak with another supervisor. He said Jason and Tara were the only two supervisors and that Tara would be in the next morning and Jason would be in the next afternoon. Today I called to speak with Tara and was told she was off this morning. I was told, again, that Jason will be in this afternoon at 4:00 Eastern.
I will call again to speak with Jason. However, every time I call, I receive the same response. My request for a refund was made over 5 months ago and still, no one can tell me what the problem is. The only response I ever get is that another request to the billing department will be made and that i need to speak to a supervisor. I am getting nowhere with this company. I have paid for several years to have this service but now that I no longer need them, I am treated like this...it is shameful!

Automatic billing to my credit card withdrew pmt for Dec. and January, but the phone service had an interuption early on in December and could not be used in January at all. After calling the first time I was promised a refund for services not received. When nothing seemed to happen, I called several times (2-3x in Dec., Jan., Feb. and March) and, and was told that it was in progress or waiting for approval...everytime I called they kept telling me the same story over (on file) and that it would take time (6-8 wks). Last call (3/23/11) I was promised again a refund. Today, April 4th I still have not received a dime.
The rumors are true, they are fast to take your money, but forget getting your money back. Make sure you pay only per months, that way you are only out one months...or even better, look for another company with a better refund and customer satisfaction history!

Well, cons call home got me too! What a horrible white collar crime being allowed to take place. Targeting the people who have limited incomes and are trying to save pennies. HA! They promised me June 1st, no problem, everything will work out. Just pay one-time fee of $44.10 to them for June and $25.00 to Global Tele. Every month a charge of $31.35 will be taken out of credit card for 300 mins @ month, (rollover mins even). Well June past, July past, can't use number. Called, said no problem will fax letter over to Global Tele and everything will be alright. Now it's August, still can't use number. Called the central prison administration office, said they have nothing to do with it. Called Global Tele, said they have nothing to do with cons call home, but did refund my $25.00 from June. Called cons call home, said sorry we gave you a number to use and that was our job...! No refund, my five days are over, no minute transfer to home phone for the money they took, sorry, can't do. offering a service that they know TDCJ won't approve
I signed up with these people in December because they told me they were approved by TDCJ and could provide me a local number to receive calls from my incarcerated loved one. I immediately tried to register the number they assigned me, but it wasn't approved. After 8 weeks, I was told to do a manual registration and send a copy of my phone bill. I waited another 2 weeks, then called to see why I still was not approved to receive calls. I was told by the operator at the official telephone approval line [protected]) that it had not been approved and would not be approved because TDCJ no longer permitted use of that company. When I called to cancel the account, I requested a refund since I've paid for 3 months' worth of service that I cannot and would not ever get to use. I was told that I would not get a refund because I was "buying a line (sic) given me by someone who doesn't want to lose profits." In other words, the representative for ConsCall Home, Anthony x 511, told me that I was being lied to by the person from TDCJ's phone approval line. When I told him, "No, I was told that they NO LONGER allow use of that company;" he responded by saying, "Look, when you stop calling me a liar, since you're such an expert, maybe I can explain this to you." He was extremely rude and treated me like I'm stupid and when I got upset, he spent probably 20 minutes telling me about how I wasn't listening to him and if I would "just calm down" he might be able to help me. I was crying, but I was very calm until he continually talked over me and belittled me and essentially told me I was being played by TDC. I asked him to speak to a supervisor and he told me there were no supervisors available in the entire building until 4pm and I would have to call back. When I questioned that (because yes, I do believe he was lying about that), he said, "Look, since you're calling me a liar about everything I'm trying to tell you, I'm not goling to discuss this matter with you anymore. Is there anything ELSE I can assist you with (in an extremely rude, snotty tone of voice)?" I tried to get him to talk to me about my account and he kept repeating that same thing in the same snotty tone, so I finally lost my temper (I had been crying, but not angry up to that point) and said, "yes you can kiss my ### and go to hell." and I terminated the call.
I shouldn't have lost my temper, but after being told by TDC that they will never register my conscallhome number AND that I can't get my money back despite not getting any service for my money AND being treated in a rude and demeaning manner by the "customer service representative" AND being lied to about a supervisor being present? I was more than a little angry. I wasted my money for 3 months and received nothing for it but rudeness and grief; I feel like I've been victimized twice- once by ConsCallHome and once by TDC- the difference is that TDC didn't charge me $20.00/month to screw me and ConsCallHome did. I want my money back- I'm going to need it to pay the usurous phone fees charged by Embarq.
