Denying the rebate
Coopervision will deny your contact lens rebate if you order your contact lenses early. Last year I ordered my 1 year supply at the very end of January. This year in March - so they denied my rebate claim (even though it is clear that my order was done in both cases based upon my annual exam. Don't buy from this company expecting to get your rebate, they are looking for loopholes.
Recommendation: Be careful, CooperVision tries to use their terms to deny your rebate claim

Rebate card
I received the rebate card of $50. I tried to use it online to purchase items and I tried it in the stores when I first received it. Every time it said that it cannot used. Either no funds or rejected. I have not used the card and it says that there is still $50 on the card. I have tried multiple times with online and phone calls to customer service. It now says it expired. I would like a new card. Around January it expired. I put it away in my wallet with disgust and found it again. I got upset knowing the I tried to rectify the issue when it was happening. I'm writing to complain in hopes that Cooper Vision will make this right and reissue me a new card. I paid for the service to get the rebate.
Claimed loss: Time and had to pay for items out of pocket because items were already scanned for purchase at registers.
Desired outcome: To have the card reissued for the amount the was on the card ($50) Nothing more and nothing less.

Rebate card and contact lenses
I purchased a years supply of contact lenses that came with a $60 rebate card. I have not been able to use the card at any store or online sense I have received it. The Customer Care service is no help and they refer me to a 3rd party vendor, which does not help. The contacts dry out after a short period of time and tear very easily. I will not be purchasing from CooperVision in the future.

I tried to use my $60 cooper vision rebate card at Walmart twice, but it
was rejected both times and I had to pay with another method both times.
Then I tried to use it on amazon and it was rejected. I have actually not used any of the funds!
When I log into my cooper vision acct, the money was actually still debited from my card from the Walmart attempted purchases, even though at the store it was rejected. And it says my balance is $13.25, which I don't understand. I've not used any of the funds.
Desired outcome: I am requesting a new digital $60 rebate card as replacement.

I have tried on several occasions to use the virtual rebate card to purchase items in store and online and neither have worked, the balance stays the same and any time I try to use it, an error is given. I even added the card to my apple wallet and still it does not work. I payed for the year supply and it was definitely not cheap and was disappointed to see that the small rebate is not working.

The entire rebate system is designed for you to give up in the long redundant rebate claim process. I read through most reviews online and everybody went through the same struggles with them, so it is not a coincidence. Their contacts dries your eye pretty fast when you wear it and afterwards as well. I wore couple of other brands before, coopervision performs the worst. Please don’t buy coopervision. When a company lies and treats their customers like these, it makes me sad to see other people falls into the same trap and they couldn’t do anything about it. The whole rebate process took me almost half a year, and I still got nothing out of it but anger and frustration:(

Submitted a rebate for my daughters Misight ONE YEAR lens supply which is not cheap at all and it was declined. I shopped for a store that would give a good deal for the year supply and found a store which was not the same store my kid did the fitting test. Because of this, the rebate was declined. It is so unfair that a parent is trying to provide their kid with the best treatment option for their eyesight at the lowest cost possible because not everybody is a millionaire in this country and in response you get a declined rebate. Writing this with my eyes full of tears and full disappointment in this company. I was counting with the savings of the rebate and had high hopes that it would alleviate the cost of the lenses to some level but no. Rebate declined because the lenses were not purchased in the same store. Cooper Vision rebates are unfair and suck, they are a lie.
Desired outcome: Get my full rebate of $150 for the ONE YEAR supply purchase. I purchased 8 90-packs and that is what the rebate should be for.

Rebate card not working prior to expiring
I tried to use my rebate card on several occasions before it expired and it never worked. I’ve tried chatting and emailing customer service, and they want me to pay a ridiculous fee of more than 25% of the cards value to have a new one issued and are claiming the fee can’t be waived. If I lost the card I would understand paying the fee, however since I had several failed attempts at using it prior to expiration I shouldn’t be responsible for that.
Desired outcome: New card issued without the fee.

CooperVision Rebate Card not working
Gone to various merchants and the rebate card won’t work. Won’t scan. Gets error messages and then causes me to use my own money when I wouldn’t have made these purchases in the first place. The customer service on the phone number is no help either. They told me “they never have heard of this before.” That “I must have insufficient funds” or “to try a different merchant.” This is absolutely a rip off and because of it probably won’t be going to my eye doctor that offers this anymore. It is Not an “easy” process. Super sketchy and a scam.
Desired outcome: Love to be able to use the 50 bucks I have on my card for simple items like food or a vending machine.

Coopervision rebate
Bought 8 boxes for over 500 dollars. Given form from Costco’s od as usual. I’ve gotten the rebate before. Now apparently in the fine print on the back you can’t get a rebate if you bought at Costco? Read the fine print carefully and if you don’t have time to send in all the stuff they require and read all the fine print, buy a different brand as I will be doing from now on. Very disappointed in this company’s games.

Cooper Vision digital wallet rebate
In mid July of 2022 I paid a visit to my eye doctor for contact lenses and an exam. I paid full price along with my insurance discount. At the end of the transaction I was told at the front desk that Cooper Vision helps to offset the cost of Eyewear purchases by issuing a rebate credit card or digital wallet credit card of around $50 on average the consumer will receive when successfully completing the screening and validation process to receive the rebate. After a month I was approved through 2 layers of company protection and was approved to receive a $55 rebate in either a plastic hard copy regular credit card issued through the mail which will take 7 to 10 business days or you can have the option of receiving a digital wallet credit card which is available instantaneously if that option is chosen. I chose the digital wallet card and now I wish I would have chosen a physical credit card mailed to me because this digital wallet card is junk! No merchants out there will accept using any online purchase forms. Even after multiple attempts of re inputting the card numbers the digital wallet gets repeatedly denied. This was not mentioned in the fine print with Cooper Vision. They are scamming people with these digital cards, not being forthcoming with this type of important information. So anyone reading this DO NOT GET A DIGITAL WALLET CARD! THEY WILL NOT WORK...AT ALL! ANYWHERE!
Desired outcome: Please explain to us the stipulations for how to use this digital wallet card and why it isn't working and where we can actually use it and WHY would you send us these useless things!?

Rebate
The website will not even allow me to get past entering my email before it says "something went wrong, try again later". I have literally been trying for hours. This is a scam. I spent over $500 on lenses for my son just to get this rebate and I will never use this brand again.
Rebate card
I received a $50 rebate card for purchasing contact lenses in June or July, 2021. At the time, I didn't even notice it had an expiration date (11/2021). By the time I noticed, it was expired (a few weeks ago), I was told I could not even get it renewed by paying the reissue fee of 12.95 (ridiculous fee, but I would have paid it). This seems like a really sketchy business practice. Please reissue my card. My next step would be to file BBB complaint, etc.

Absolute Scam on attempting to get rebate
The excessively clunky so-called 'easy' rebate process involves:
Submission of forms
Submission of dates, addresses (yours and provider)
Submission of prescription
Photos of boxes
Photos of receipts
Inclusion of dates for exam and purchase
Exact amount of items purchased
Exact model of items purchased
Exact provider address taken from archaic, non intuitive pull down menu OR ELSE
After doing all this, the claim was denied. Fine. I missed have missed something that will surely show in 'red' like most sites created in the last 10 years, right? Wrong. You just start guessing.
Was it the date? The invoice number? The godforsaken 'dash' in the rebate form? Just keep guessing. Just keep getting the 'denied' notation. I don't even want the stupid rebate now that I've spent this time and frustration, which is surely CooperVision goal.
What a joke. I agree with others who've had the identical issue? In CooperVision's estimation, we're all idiots, can't read, can't follow instructions. Or perchance, just MAYBE, is this process mildly flawed?

I received a prep paid card in the mail and the web site coopervisioncardstatus.com is not working. It is telling me to change my password?

Recall of Hy-Care contact lens solution: I returned 8 bottles of solution. One which had been in use and seven u opened ones. These bottles of solution were all within their use by dates for months and months ahead. The serial numbers on the bottles were all on the advised list for recall of solution. A Virtual credit card loaded with a £12 refund was emailed to my address of [protected]@hotmail.com. This amounts to a refund of £1.50 per bottle of solution. I am considerably out of pocket and extremely disappointed by this Company. I will never knowingly purchase anything from this Company again nor will recommend them.

Coopervision delivery
26/03/22 a package was delivered . When i received it, the package was open/ teared .Inside contained a alternative bottle to the easycare solution (specsavers) and contact lense case. The contact lens case came dirty which i cant use to store my lenses as its unsafe and unhygienic. This is the first time this has ever happened.
Desired outcome: get a clean package sent.
Customer service at CooperVision
I was emailed by SpecSavers to sort a recall on CooperVision's contact lens solution. I was given a link in the email to do this, which took me to a website. I followed the instructions on the site and it asked me to contact CooperVision directly to sort the bottle recall as my quantity of bottles was too high for the site. Upon calling them, they did answer very quickly to be fair, but the lady I spoke to became more and more rude and argumentative as the phonecall went on. She said I was 'wasting her time' when she had 'other callers waiting' and kept huffing and puffing. She said I had not followed the instructions on the site to check all the LOT numbers to see if they were part of the recall before I called her. I apologised and explained I had not read that anywhere so it must not be clear you have to do this. She said, 'NO, it is VERY clear!' (After the call I checked everywhere on the site - nowhere does it say this).
I organised the bottles into separate LOT numbers before reeling the numbers off to her (again, this expectation was not explained anywhere. I asked if there was a cut off date of manufacture at which they were due a recall to distinguish but apparently not, and I didn't know which deliveries of contacts were part of which LOT - why would I possibly be expected to know this information?!) When I gave her a LOT number and it turned out to not be part of the recall she would be audibly annoyed and say she had to delete it now. She kept deleting the wrong LOT numbers so we had to start all over again then blaming me, saying it was my fault for not checking first when it is so hard for them to delete them their end once they had inputted them. I offered to go on the site and check the LOT numbers first so I could make sure I was only giving her the current ones, but she said no, huffed, and hurried me on to the next number. Towards the end of the call, I asked her to clarify if I needed to send a picture of all 7 recalled bottles or just one bottle from each LOT number (so 3 total). She rudely said, 'you have not listened to what I said' - I was clarifying a point that wasn't made clear. She ended the call very curtly.
I am not someone who leaves complaints but I was so shocked by this lady that I felt it warranted it. At no point was I rude to her in any way, despite the way she spoke to me throughout the call. I called at 5.34pm after I got home from work and the call lasted 11 minutes all in. I do not think I took up much of this lady's time or deserved to be spoken to this way. You would think I had purposefully defied clear instructions and gone out my way to make this lady's day harder with how she acted.
In hindsight, I think she was worried that I would run past their closing time of 6pm or perhaps she had hoped to leave work early today and that was why she was in such a hurry to get the call over with.
If she has an issue with the system in place, she should suggest they provide a clear set of instructions on the website containing the steps needed to be taken before calling customer service, rather than taking her frustrations out on the customers who are none the wiser. If she is at her wits end about this happening all the time, she ought to be using logic to realise it is clearly not clear to customers how they can make her job a little bit easier.
Desired outcome: I would like a manager to have a conversation with the lady about how she speaks to people so hopefully others don't have to have the same unpleasant experience with her.

Coopervision hy-care multipurpose lens solution re-call
I have completed the claim form online for a refund (after a letter from Boots Opticians) and have now been trying for two days to submit the form, all I can get is "error"
I phoned the contact no, and was told "try later" this is not good enough! I am not wanting a monetary cash refund, only a replacement of the solution. Please advise on what I can do next.

Rebate visa
I had tucked away the rebate visa/letter and found it today, 3/1/22. The expiration date was yesterday, 2/22. I would like to know if I can get a replacement for the expired card as the $50 rebate was never used. The customer service number was of little help, They told me they dealt with hundreds of other products and plans and they could not help. I did try going to the web address on the back of the card and it kept directing me to walgreens or said I had been directed to the site by an unsecure engine. I am more than frustrated and would either like a replacement for my card or contacts to match the value of the rebate. Please assist. Thank you
