Costa Points Card
I have spent the last 10 years building up a healthy points balance on my Costa points card only to find out yesterday, from my local Costa Cafe in Barrow-in-Furness that I will no longer be able to spend my points some £43.00 worth on food at Costa and that I have only 7 days to spend them on drinks. I consider that this is highly disrespectful of me as a consumer and that you have broken your promise to me. I am returning my card and this once loyal customer is turning his back on Costa permanently. This means that I don't have sufficient trust nor confidence in Costa any longer for me to make any further purchases.
Desired outcome: Costa will never ever get the chance to make me feel swindled like this again.

I am writing to you, because I am very disappointed. My husband and I were on a day out on Sunday, after being in for so long regarding health issues related with Covid. I had a gift card which we wanted to use, when my husband tried to use it for our drinks, he was told it had expired...
As you can imagine we were upset by this, he paid for our drinks, which we enjoyed. But we found it difficult to understand why, with the pandemic you have to use the gift card within a certain time, when we couldn't actually go out.
We love a coffee in Costa, they are our little treat. Especially the Christmas ones...
I'm just looking for a reason why, perhaps with covid affecting people's lives, Costa perhaps couldn't find a way of extending the expiry date...

Cleanness in costa shop
I took my grandmother whos 80 out for shopping, trip and do her shopping we always stop for a coffee, at the Asda costa coffee shop Minworth, on entrance we found a table, i cleaned it with my own asda wipe to my horror it was dirty, beyond belief, i took it up to order and to my dismay the manger, didnt really care she said we do clean the table, as i watched her she used the same cloth and transferred, the dirt to table to table, im dissatisfied and dissapointed i psy good money, for my coffee and cakes etc i expect more especially with covid here.

Unethical behaviour
I regularly visit the Costa coffee at the Meteor centre as stated above, however this particular time I was so very disappointed after my visit.
I visited with my grandson which we do regularly. After I ordered I kindly said to the person serving me " Can I have NHS discount on that please" the response was "No we don't do it" (this was said with a rude and short manner) To which I replied "oh I normally receive NHS discount and have been receiving the discount weekly". The server then repeated it again "we don't do it". I politely said "would it be possible to check with your manager and team leader". The reply I got was I am in charge today the manager is off.
The shocking comment she said next was "well we do NHS discount but only if we want to" My response was ok can I have the NHS discount which I normally have. She then replied "no" "I don't want to" I was in complete shock and asked for the servers name and she pointed to her badge!
Never been treated this way in my life. I actually felt like bursting into tears and felt attacked. I have a calm, polite women and always speak polite and respect all staff. This was disgusting behaviour and after the pandemic we have been through it hurt more to be treated like this when simply asking can you grant the NHS discount.
Please let me know how you are going to compensate me for this awful, hurtful customer service that I received and I felt violated.
Desired outcome: A prompt response. A refund and compensation.
Market street. York
I had the displeasure of going into your market street store in York today and I have to say I won't be visiting it again. The tables were disgusting and they definitely hadn't been wiped down . The toilets are the worst I've been in for a long time they were filthy and the tap was coming away from the sink, I don't think they'd been inspected for a while. The staffs clothing wasn't much better and there was no wiping or sanitising down from what I could see. Surely in times like these more stringent measures should be in place and a lot more cleaning needs doing in that store. P Martin
Two coffees
Bought two coffees from a Costa vending machine at chieveley service station. They were only like warm and had little to no coffee in them. They were a waste of money as we had to throw them both away. We could not drink them. Service station very busy at time or would have asked for a refund. We use Costas all the time, this is the first time this has happened. Very disappointing as we were on our way in holiday. Please will you give me a refund or a credit, I am an extremely good customer of yours!

Unable to use Costa Points
I have tried twice this week to use the accumulated points on my Costa card before they turn into beans (I don't really want 27 free drinks) to be told that the machine isn't working/not redeeming points/app down, all the usual excuses.
However I do not believe that the app was not working yesterday as it did manage to add points to my balance - very odd also when a different customer wanted to know why her points weren't on her receipt to be told that the app wasn't working and she'd have to keep the receipt and get it updated when the app was back up & running.
I think this is totally unacceptable and looking at the % of complaints resolved I don't even guess that anyone connected to Costa will even read this never mind do anything about it!
Desired outcome: £10 gift card or the ability to use points on drinks/food as I so wish
Rude behaviour when being served
Walked into Costa coffee grantham today at 11.50, there was no queue on arrival at the till I was ignored by two staff who where talking and one was looking on her phone. I said excuse me is anyone serving and the reply was just finishing this so I left. I went back in one hour later the same lady said wont be a minute, then got some else to serve me. I went back to see if she would apologize so I asked for a complaint from but was told there is not one.the ladies name was Francesca. She has been short and abrupt with me before. I am not happy with this. The other staff in there are really nice but I dont want to go back now

Costa bude cornwall
Evening, my family and I are local and we have always gone to costa in bude, I know recently there has been a lot of new staff but I feel it's wrong that they are not trained up to make the coffees correctly considering the prices we are paying for the coffees.
Also they are so watery lately they are not tasting great at all.
I have witness other customers as well complaining and one lady walked out even though she had paid as she was waiting so long for 1 drink.
I really hope that the new staff gets more training and help so this can be a better place again to go in and enjoy a coffee with a family member or friends again.

Charge for pouring cream
I went to Costa coffee in Ilford store located near M&S. Staff who was serving me was going to charge me for pouring cream. I asked him can I speak to the manager and he says no manager in the shop. Its really bad.

We visited costa coffee shop Springfield's Spalding on Saturday 4/9/21 around 3pm we purchase 2drinks and a insulated coffee cup for £12.00 while we were drinking our coffee my husband said he would like another cup he picked the one off the shelf priced at £5.00 when I went to pay for it the young lady serving said it was £7.00 she ask a gentleman for help I think this was manager when we both went to the shelf the label clearly said £5.00 and it was describing the product correctly the man said it had gone up in price I work in retail and I know I should have been able to have it for what it said on label the man said he couldn't do this I don't think this is right it's not my fault it was your error I don't think this is the way to treat your customers don't think I will be using your coffee shop again Mrs S maltby
Cappuccino!!!!
Went away for the August Bank Holiday, called into Reading Services drive through ordered a Cappuccino and White Americano, received White Americano, but NOT a Cappuccino just a milky coffee, so disappointed
after over a 100 hundred miles travelled and needing a pick me up. I pulled over had a couple of mouthfuls, and put my drink in the bin.
On the return journey home on Monday went into Reading Service's, but Not drive through, went into main building asked for Cappuccino and White Americano and was given just a milky coffee for Cappuccino, have you changed your standards? Do your staff need training? White American OK. I have been a customer for a long time and never received sub-standard products, until now.
If you could give me some answers I would appreciate it.

Staff cleaning while customers still in the shop
I am complaining about the surbiton costa coffee shop, as yesterday I was meeting with friends & the staff member a guy was hoovering at 5.30 then started to mop the floor & didn't close until 6pm. Another also felt had to leave due to noise of hoover.
The friends I was with were annoyed that we felt we had to leave. We won't be meeting in that branch of costa again.
The staff should until closed as is health & safety issue if example tripped over wire on hoover & a wet floor. The staff member had a sign when mopping but was not in clear view.
Latte Coffee
Today I purchased 2 lattes at your outlet in Next Leicester Fosse Park LE191H
On receiving them I was supprised by how Light coloured they were asking the staff if there was a enough coffee
In then there answer yes, but having started to drink them we new they was not to your or my standards .
I could not take them back as there was at least 10to 14 people in the cue.
So a poor £5.30 purchase
Total lack of response to future credit cruise voucher queries from Costa.
I have made MANY attempts to get direction from Costa cruises regarding my TOTAL inability to book any cruise, using my voucher due to the fact that South African passengers are not allowed to make a booking within the (voucher) prescribed timelines.
My original booking ref is Cruise Line Ref: [protected]. My Costa Card # is Costa Card # 9696837. I have today completed the refund request form because the (per Costa website) ultimate time limit for a refund request is 31 August 2021.
We would have liked to pursue a new booking, but that has proved totally impossible, so I have no option but to request a refund.
However, the post-cruise service has been so disgusting so far, I have no faith in any of this going anywhere, because it appears as though the future credit cruise voucher was a con/scam.

Magor Services Drive Through
1630 17th August
I ordered a double espresso yesterday on my way to Cardiff. I have done this three times this summer and had previously received bright, freshly made coffee with a little crema.
Yesterday however the coffee was flat and dull, having obviously been made and then allowed to stand on the counter whilst the previous customer was served.
I think this is very poor for £2.45.

Hi I like to make complaint at Costa Costa Northampton sixfields. I ordered a salted caramel frostino the cream was off and the cream was falling down the side of the cup .
I asked why we can't sit in they said they got pinned by track and trace. Why did they continue working with the drive through. The tables and floors are really dirty. The shop is not Covid secure

The toastie was cooked on one side but white on the other. The crusts were hard and inedible.
gift cards
During the covid-19 pandemic i have been self isolating due to my conditions. Now i'm able to get out more i have started using costa coffee shops again. I have several gift cards to spend i have tried to use them to only be told that they are out of date and three different shops have said i cannot use them. I have also got a so called loyalty card that is out of date with quite a few points on that i cannot use. Is there any way you can help with this problem. I love costa coffee but i don't think this is fair as they were brought as birthday gifts. The card; no's are [protected] & [protected] [protected] 0. Stopped anti clockwise at costa coffee drive through while stuck on m25 today 16/7 around 2.45- 2 ham& cheese toasted 2 med lattes 1 lemon muffin. Young lad charged £17.80 gave no receipt, kept thinking that was dear when I got home checked prices and found that I had been overcharged ! Honestly what is happening to Costa, food has got smaller bread could not get any thinner and toilets service etc, got very poor !
I would only go in another Costa if I was desperate…… shame as use to put service and standard of food first ….
