Staff Costco Tesco Macclesfield
Staff refused to make panini at 17.20 though site should close at 1800 hrs. Reason given was that they had to clean ovens and only 2 on duty.. Any later I could understand, however 40 minutes before closing?
How much would this cost the company in lost revenue if every outlet did this.

Drink a hot cross bun latte with oat milk and cream
I asked for a hot cross latte oat milk with cream not too hot and I spent almost £ 5.
I received a hot cross latte oat milk with just a bit of cream on the top and hot without a topping of hot cross latte.
A lady prepared a hot cross latte without coffe but with cream and not too hot but it was too sweet without coffee disgusting.
Chocolate twist
I purchased a chocolate twist around 09:10 today to take away, 30 mins later I sat to eat it & discovered it was hard which meant you’re clearly selling yesterdays produce which is not acceptable. I don’t mind paying your prices however surely freshness should be a given. Very disappointed as I’ve purchased a lot of goods from yourselves.

I would like to fill in a complaint regarding service in Costa shop market street 28.
I always used to go to Caffè Nero’s as they never disappointed in their way of serving and approach people.
However I am a massive fan of mint milkshake from costa so sometimes /often enough I’m a customer of Costa too. Arrived to this Caffè exact time 14.55 and a very polite guy told me to pay attention of some water spillage as I was pushing a pram. Ordered the milkshake, and the lady doing the orders Blond, young rude called Ewa (asked one of her colleague the name) she made my drink with cream on the top however I strongly advised the guy from the till that I want no cream in it. I brought to her attention there is cream in it, and she just went and literally took it out with a spoon! I said could you pls make another one as I want no cream in it, she just went mad saying “but I just took it all out with a spoon!” Making me feel anxious, nervous and uncomfortable for simply asking her to make my drink as requested. £3.5 it’s costing me such a drink I think it’s the customer right to address the barista if their drink is not as expected. I never experienced something like this, I never complained before on coffees as I do understand they might be stressed, understaffed and who knows what else they have going on their life, BUT I also know that I wanted this drink to treat myself, I paid for it and the way she made me feel is just something I can’t describe it was like she was giving me this drink for free and how dare I even complain! While her colleague took the order from her as she kept arguing with me that my drink was okay with the bits of cream in it, she kept throwing some comments to her colleague so I can’t hear but what I could see was they both were laughing. I will never come back to this store ever again, I have never expenrienced such a rude treatment in a coffe shop before.
I hope you will do the right thing to protect other customers from feeling bullied and treated in such a way as I’ve been today.
I will still visit costa, obviously but never this store ever again.

The smell
Hello, I'm a relatively regular customer at the Costa Coffees in Sutton, and at both the staff, service, food and drinks have been lovely. However, every time I leave either store, my clothes and leather phone case begin smelling very pungently of cigarette smoke. I believe this might be because there is a seating area in the front of the store which people smoke in, but it makes it very uncomfortable to return home to the family stinking of cigarettes. Also, sometimes this doesn't even happen when there are people smoking in the front of the store, which is very confusing. I don't no why that is the case, but it's definitely a Costa related issue because it only ever happens when I've gone to Costa, and this doesn't happen in the Dorking Costa on the less frequent occasion I am at that one (although there is not an outdoor seating area, which might be a reason why). I also don't smoke or spend time with any friends who smoke, so that can't be an alternative cause. Thanks for reading :)
Desired outcome: I'd just like to be able to enjoy going to Costa without smelling cigarette smoke while I'm sitting there and be able to return home not smelling like I've been smoking.

Shop staff rude and closed early
On Sunday 20th March I arrived at costa coffee in Langley Eastbourne at 14.54. The door was shut in my face by the staff member who said they were shut. I pointed out the opening hours were until 16.00 to which she laughed. There were 4 members of staff in the store more than enough to serve coffee. As I walked away she put a note on the door saying closed due to staff illness - as a business owner this can be managed but should not be to the detriment of your customers. The store could be run with 5 staff members but they apparently wanted to go home early! I am disappointed and disgusted of the behaviour of the staff in the store who then took a photo of me and my car and number plate.

Sudbury Tescos Costa store
Me and my family visited the store on Thursday 17th March. There was one member of staff and a sign that said it was due to staff shortages. The one lady lone working was amazing and couldn’t of been more polite considering she was clearly under a lot of pressure so the staff member certainly wasn’t the issue. However the issue was the place was disgusting. The floors were filthy and clearly hadn’t been mopped properly in a very long time! Tables and chairs were sticky and had food remnants on them so I dread to think the last time the fabric chairs especially were hoovered or cleaned properly! I have visited this store on more then one occasion when there have been multiple members of staff and can honestly say all of the ladies working there have always been lovely and polite but always seem to be under a lot of pressure. On more then one occasion whilst being there I’ve witnessed a male (who apparently is the manager) walking around not doing a lot when shelves have been bare, fridges haven’t been restocked, tables haven’t been cleared and at one time I approached the staff door to request something to wipe the table with due to a spilt drink to find this ‘manager’ just sitting down with his phone in his hand whilst staff on the bar were rushed off their feet. I can only assume that as the manager he felt he could do whatever he wanted while the other staff did the jobs for him. I can honestly say that I’ve visited much better and cleaner stores and this manager clearly doesn’t seem to care too much about the presentation of the shop floor so I dread to think what the stock room is like!
Only Takeaway, short of staff they tell me.
As a regular customer in the Rottingdean branch, I continually get frustrated by their lack of organising a sit down venue. When I go its either closed through lack of staff, or takeaway only. A complete and utter joke. None of the other outlets in the High Street have this problem. They need to get this sorted, as its been going on for months like this.

We have an issue with some vouchers that were purchased a while ago. Basically my colleague accidentally purchased costa coffee vouchers that could only be used in Ireland rather than Northern Ireland. However, as he went to purchase them a second time online he was informed that the vouchers could be used in Northern Ireland as this is still in the UK and Ireland. We haven't heard back from anyone and need these issues sorted as it has been ongoing.
Can we get something done about this please? We just want to be able to use these in costa stores in Northern Ireland but can't.

Coffee flask purchased
I purchased this flask front the Costa coffee shop inside Northwick Park hospital, whilst I was buying my regular coffee and meal during my working time there, I noticed this flask and bought it. But after one use the flask doesn’t open. And so yesterday whilst buying another coffee there, I show them this product not working and asked for replacement and unbelievably they refused to replace it and I was turned away with an unhelpful rude service. I found this not good being a regular customer in Costa coffee shop spending lots money purchasing there and so I can’t believe how they refused to replace this flask which is their own product which is new and isn’t working.
Desired outcome: Question that staff member if this acceptable service, if its genuine complaint and proof is provided.

I had a vodafone free Costa coffee offer and went to my nearest Costa to redeem. Their opening hours displayed online were until 7pm. I got there at 6.30pm and they were already shut. I tapped on the window thinking there must be some mistake, since 2 members of staff were in the store chatting but they just looked at me and carried on chatting to each other. How Rude! First of all they shut the shop 30 mins early. Secondly they don't even bother to acknowledge a customer wondering why the store was shut before their advertised closing time. Thirdly I missed my free coffee offer that was only valid that day. I was annoyed at missing my offer but even more annoyed at the bad customer service from Costa Coffee. To make it worse, I contacted Costa via their feedback form online (as they no longer take telephone queries) and I have not heard from them for 3 weeks. I think they forget Starbucks and many others sell coffee too and disgruntled customers will vote with their feet.

I have had a Costa club card for years and never cashed in any points now I have the app but that last few times the card wouldn’t work so it was scrapped I never use any coffee bars other than Costa
Crunchy fruit and oat biscuits
I got some fruit and oat biscuits from my local town centre on Friday meaning yesterday I’ve opened them today and the biscuits were soft no crunch to them at all the date on the packet is 22/10/2022 can some one please tell my how come they are soft
Desired outcome: For someone to rectify this problem as they are not cheap biscuits I get them a lot so I no there not supposed to be soft and soggy
Cleanliness of shop
On Friday 4th of March .my friend and myself went into costs coffee in north walsham.
As we had a bit of time we decided I drink our coffee and tea inside.
After getting out drinks we took them to the table. Before we could sit down we had to brush the crumbs off of the seats
I went to pour my tea and noticed the cup wasn't clean. I took this up to the counter and got another cup.
I went back to my friend and she said watch where you put your feet there something split down the table leg and on the floor.
As we say there looking around we noticed the dust that was on the chair backs at the bottom and the amount of dust on the bottom chair ledgers. It was disgusting. The furniture in there need a very good clean
We both felt that we couldn't relax as we daren't sit back.
It was not a very enjoyable experience.
Soya milk
I noticed you have changed your alpro soya milk to a cheaper version. It leaves a strange after taste which is sour. I won’t be using Costa until you change it back.

I went there today and I get two medium late and I pay by cash £640 and the girls there make the coffee and she doesn’t told me to get the coffee and let me waiting there for no reason and coffee get cold,even she Ben very rude to me I told her I’m going to complain and she say I don’t care for no one do whatever you want,so I’m very disappointed with them thank you anyway.
On my opinion one of the girls who was there today should kick her out from that job son as possible !
Aero mint hot chocolate

This morning I went to my local costa in Gloucester near the quays. I asked for Soya aero chocolate. However, all I could taste was mint and no chocolate. It was so poorly made that I had no choice but to dispose of the item. I am really disappointed as I was expecting this drink to be spectacular, however, again disappointed. I would like to be able to try that drink again but I am put off with the amount of mint the employee added. I felt so sick driving to work.
I would like something done about this issue?

Broken chair
I visited my local Costa this morning I sat down on a chair and it completely snapped causing me to hit the floor and pull something in my back I had to leave immediately and I’m now in a lot of pain. I’m not overweight I’m 11 stone it shouldn’t of snapped the way it did I already see and chiropractor once a month due to bad back I’m not happy about this as I now cannot move due to no fault of my own.
Desired outcome: I didn’t stay and talk to any of the employees as frankly I was quite embarrassed they did ask if I was ok but no I’m really not ok and am in a lot of pain.
Beans
I want to complain that you do not give beans on food bought in your stores. We have been using your costa stores for food and drinks for many years and we are upset that we no longer get rewarded for purchasing these goods. Please reward your loyal customers. Thank you. Ps we have no complaints about any of your shops. Your staff are great.

Standard and service
I was a regular at the Costa at the Maybird shopping Park Stratford upon Avon, until recently.
I will not be returning to this branch, the staff are rude, scruffy, slow and the branch is always messy.
I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and went to get a takeaway earlier today and was told they were not open (at 8.10am). No apology, no manners. It just confirmed why I have stopped going there.
It is very sad as I used to go daily and the staff were lovely, service was great and it felt like a well run establishment. Now it has turned into a bit of a joke. I feel you need to know as this is not doing anything for the Costa reputation.
Please get a proper team together to get your customers back.
