No beans regis tard on my app
Hi on december the 5th I visited your outlet in next at merthyr retail park we had two toasties and two small lattes I used my phone app it beeped butt I still haven't received any beans. I have been a customer for many years and this is the first time I have had a problem please can you help thanks ken. Idont know what other information you need the date I visited the outlet was the 5of december at about11.30 and 12.00 the outlet was in next the retail outlet inmerthyer retail par I did not keep the receipt after I had my order I hope this helps.

Incorrect order leading to extreme rudeness from the coffee barista
Tuesday 6 December 2022 @ 12.29:
This very unfortunate incident took place at the Hythe High Street Branch of Hythe, Kent today at the above time. We frequent this particular Costa Coffee and have never encountered a problem before: that all changed today.
I ordered a black Americano for my husband who I was waiting for, and a small Flat White for myself plus two cakes - muffins. The young lad serving rang the order up on the till and put the receipt on the tray for the girl who was making the coffees. He then kindly brought the tray over to my table as I am disabled and use a walking frame, and my husband had not yet arrived.
I noticed immediately that there was a letter L on the lid of the flat white and wondered if this was a Latte by mistake. I took a sip and realised it was a Latte so took it back to the counter and said there had been a mistake and that I ordered a flat white. I said this perfectly nicely.
The girl dispensing the coffee said abruptly, rudely and loudly "That was what was on the receipt". I was rather taken aback by her attitude and her loud voice, and said well obviously the lad had got my order wrong, and that it was not my fault. She then said cockily and loudly "Well it's not mine either!". I was appalled and looked at the ladies either side of me in the queue - they raised their eyebrows and one said "bit rude".
The girl (I could not see a name badge unfortunately) then said "Did you pay cash or card? - I said card: she then said in an unbelievable Sergeant Major voice "Get your card". The ladies in the queue were then as unbelieving as I was. Rude does not come near to how this girl was talking to a customer!
My husband arrived and asked what was going on and I told him and he got my card out of my bag and handed it to me. I proffered it to the girl and she pointed, or rather jabbed, at the payment machine in silence. She then offered the receipt in silence. Not a sorry or a care in the world. I was absolutely appalled. I complained to a man I took to be the Manager in the back room. He said he would have a word with her but that did little to appease my anger at the way I had been treated - I said to him that I had never ever been spoken to in such a manner by someone serving me as a customer.
We will not be going back to that particular branch of Costa Coffee which is a shame because it is local to us - we will drive 5 miles to the nearest alternative.
Lack of sandwich/snack selection
I enjoyed my morning coffee this morning in your Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria outlet today, Mon 28/11/2022, but very disappointed to observe that that the sandwich/snack display cabinet was virtually empty and the best that could be offered was a tea-cake & butter with no paper napkin. A far cry from the Costa standard experienced elsewhere.
Fortunately, in Grange, there are other more attractive alternatives. or if I am in Kendal , I am able to visit your branch which provides a standard of service and comprehensive menu selection.

I am extremely unhappy about my visit to Fleetwood Costa today.
1 - only take-away cups as dishwasher not working.
2 - ordered toast and when it arrived told there was no butter! I said I would just have jam and was charged 40p for it!
3 - grandson had baby chino but they had run out of flakes.
4 - no serviettes and only small plastic spoons - no good for a latte
5 - card machine not working
What kind of establishment are you running. Must remember next time to take my own cups, butter, spoons and serviettes. If there is a next time

This coffee shop has excellent staff
But please can something be done about the so called music playing all the time , this is not music but a consent drone coming out of the speakers I have requested that this be turned off in order for people to talk without shouting but am told this is a company policy to keep it on. This is nothing but annoyingto all customers.
The other thing is people who seem to use this shop as an office they come in buy one cup of coffee take up four place table to spread out there lap tops and sit here for hours meanwhile the shop is filling up with nowhere for customers to sit .

Just want to say how dissappointed I am. I ordered small white hot chocolate with cream and small Gingerbread latte with cream staying in, so hoped for nice drink in a mugs. I get drinks in paper cups without cream. When I said again what I ordered the staff charged me extra £1 for cream and refused to put my coffe and chocolate in glass mugs. I waited about 7 minutes for my order! There were 3 people and no one served custumers properly.
What's wrong with that Costa shop at Greenford Broadway? The staff are very unfriendly, mix the the orders, Taking them Long time to make coffee, shop is dirty and dusty. They should go to have Training at westway Greenford shopping Centre!

I am not complaining. I am trying to register my costa card. Customer service lines are not working at the moment and will not accept my details on line, Done this before. Have you got nothing else or someone else to to do. The system is becoming boring when one has to keep doing the same thing. The companies must be the problem not me. I have other things to do.

Bean not added
On 3rd Nov. 22 I ordered my daily Latte at Colthrop Service Station, Thatcham but bean was not added to my reward history, just saying. As there are 2 machines I used different one today and that was fine. By the way, Colthrop Service Station always keep the machines nice and clean and topped up which is more that you can say for some places.

costa apps and coffee machines
i purchase costa coffees from your machines DAILY as i am a carer and work on the road. i have lost count of the beans i have lost out on due to poor signal areas where some of your machines are located at namely carradale road in prestwick. i have contacted you before because of this and still not rectified. i also see now on my app i lost one of my free coffees as it expired! i am owed so many free coffees it sickens me to the point i am considering stopping purchasing completely as the beans idea is ripping loyal customers off!

The poor quality of the food which I had today
This morning I visited the Costa cafe in Hereford (UK) on the corner of Widemarsh St.
I chose a cheese and beans toastie for my breakfast. It didn't taste good -turned it over and the bread was nearly raw on the bottom. Top nicely toasted, not the other side. I went to the counter and said look this is only toasted on one side. She said, oh I could make a 100 and they'd all be like that. I said well maybe the toaster is faulty. No she said, it's just how they are. I said well regardless, it isn't nice. At that point she said sorry about that. I expected a refund, but no.
This is bad because a) a toastie should be toasted on both sides!
and b) I should have had a nicer response and an immediate refund.
I think this was terrible both in terms of food quality and customer service, I was appalled.

Costa on Brighton road purley
I used to love our local Costa on Brighton road in Purley. Then they did a "refit" and it's not a comfortable place any more. I don't see as any different from Gregg's. They took out a the comfortable seating and seem to just want to push people in and out. One staff member seems to pride herself on being rude and asks customers "how long will you be sitting there?".
She is abusive and arrogant. They never have any food items. Not a cake in the place!? I used to go daily. I have been once since the "refit". They took a nice place and made it a place to avoid. Oh and the toilets are as horrible as ever. Not much of a "refit". If you try to call Costa customer service it just rings.
Desired outcome: I'm not sure. Staff certainly need to be retrained. It might help if some of them knew how to make coffee

Please telephone me. I have tried three times to send a complaint and I’m not amused as have three emails/forms to either not allowed to be submitted or weren’t delivered. The least I expected is a refund for the hot drinks I purchased today. Also I was the customer service was very unpleasant. Except for one of the staff who apologised for his colleagues attitude. I’m a regular, though will not be.

E-gift card online purchase
On the 18th October at 10:54am, I purchased a e-gift card via the Costa App. Payment was taken immediately and all details entered have been checked and double-checked, and still no email to Receipient. Tried to contact via FB Messenger, Twitter and their own Contact Us form... nothing yet! Absolutely shocking Customer Service, so I will NOT be using their App or shops until this is resolved.

Customer allowed Rats in coffee shop
On the 17th October i called into costa, Unit 5, Belvedere Retail Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE3 2PA for a take away coffee, sausage roll, on my amazement there was a female customer sitting at a table with a carrying cage on the table, in the cage there were 2 rats inside, the woman left the cage unattended and went to the rest room, i mentioned this to the staff, by the time they had to react the woman returned, picked up the cage and left. On my way back to my vehicle i was thinking my purchases could be contaminated so i threw away.
Customer service
I work for Hestia, a charity and I bring most of my clients for meetings, and these clients are mostly traffic victims, when organising the customer services assistant, don't offer promotion sometimes the shelves are empty, sometimes we have to produce receipts and My client kept asking receipt for more than 3 to 4 times before they hand in the receipt.
The tables are not cleaned, always dirty cup's are there from the previous evening. I like coming to that places because it's close to my work place, if the staff had a little bit of manners there will be more business.
Desired outcome: I would like to see staff offer promotion and asking for points card and asking customer if they require recipes. Not just take the order because if you offer the customer might buy something else with the coffee like me.

I take offence to the very distasteful advert that currently is aired using the word ‘Moist’ as many times as possible. Given that it is an obvious offence to many people have you spared a second to think what children are making of it?
Totally disgusted and it’s a bloody rubbish advert anyway!
If it’s not removed I shall take this further.

Using my offer on my app I went to Costa Coffee in Rotherham Hospital
1- the ladies were unaware of the offer 2 for £4 Maple hazel and gingerbread drinks
2 - I had to buy a Lattie to try and get the offer they said on doing this It still did not work
3 - when I got back to the office with my takeaway drinks, they gingerbread hot chocolates were cold and there was no sprinkles or gingerbread men on the drinks

Opening times / service
The branch in crown point retail park Leeds is often close when it states on your website it is open staff just blatantly say no we’re closed with no explanation as to why when they were previously open from 7:30 today again the same issue it is 8:45 now and same thing just a shake of the head from behind the counter I prefer costa but I am not having to go over to the Starbucks branch as they are open you are loosing custom and money and I am very unhappy about this

Beanz & cheese toastie

I usually experience an excellent flat white at your York Street, St Helier Jersey outlet. Normally I’d also hope to enjoy brown toast, butter & Marmite or a Tuna panini. My 2.31pm visit on 28th September was an exception. No toast, no Tuna panini just beanz & cheese toastie. It arrived - warmed up, tasteless stodgy white bread with fake toasted tramlines on top, a thin slice of flavourless cheese and a few beanz all for a penny shy of £3. What I found particularly galling was to notice that well before your 4pm closing the display cabinet restocked and with tuna panini!
Incidentally, I diligently completed the lengthy online Costa contact-form only for it to be rejected also the Costa email provided by Complaintsboard.com is no longer in use.
Well done Costa, you certainly know how to drive loyal customers away.
