I have bene a loyal member of Crunch Fitness for years. recently I wrote the manager of the gym a letter to bring his attention to the unsanitary conditions at the gym and especially the sauna. The manager was not helpful and explained they only clean the gym once per day and that they could not monitor the sauna. To give perspective, I arrive at the gym every day at 5a.m. and there is no reason the sauna should already be in an unsanitary condition upon opening! After my first complaint, the staff hung a sign on the sauna stating it was out of order (at 5a.m. upon opening). After two weeks the sauna would be cleaned sporadically, so some days it would be clean while others it was disgusting. Finally, on yesterday I sent another complaint containing pictures, and when I arrived this morning, the sauna had bene turned off and the door left open. I am quite aware that staff has identified me through my emails and therefore knows my pattern of attendance. I feel the closing of the sauna is retaliatory and discriminatory. I pay my money to be able to use all the equipment in a clean environment that does not contribute to the rising COVID cases. I have been singled out because I am asking the gym to keep a standard. This is my last-ditch effort before involving my legal resources and network news to bring attention to the discriminatory practices at Crunch Ballantyne.
Desired outcome: I want a clean sauna and restroom that is void of dried seat and germs from the day before. I also want the manager or staff to answer for their discriminatory and retaliatory acts against me.
