I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had at Crunch Trinity, as well as to request a resolution to the issues I encountered regarding my membership cancellation.
On July 26, 2023, I visited Crunch Trinity to cancel my membership. During this visit, I had a conversation with Stephaune Haylock, an employee at the check-in counter, regarding my intention to cancel. He informed me that I had no outstanding balance due since I had already paid my August monthly membership fee. I decided to cancel my membership as I am relocating and will no longer require access to the gym.
To my surprise, on August 23, 2023, I noticed a charge of $10.69 from Crunch on my account, despite having signed a cancellation form indicating that I owed a balance of $0. Immediately upon noticing this charge, I contacted Crunch Trinity to explain the situation. During that phone call, I was assured that the charge was an error and that I would receive a refund. Additionally, I was told that the manager would contact me to address the issue.
Unfortunately, I did not receive a refund or a call back from the manager for over a week, leaving me frustrated and concerned about the situation. Consequently, on September 1, 2023, I visited Crunch Trinity in person to discuss the matter further. I had the opportunity to speak with Alec Kreger, who identified himself as the manager. However, the conversation with Mr. Kreger was far from satisfactory. He spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner, asserting that the error in my membership cancellation was due to their employees’ error and that there was nothing they could do to rectify the situation. He also stated that the employee, Stephaune Haylock, was not adequately trained.
I strongly believe that the mishandling of my membership cancellation was not only an inconvenience but also resulted in an additional charge for a month of membership I will not be using. Furthermore, Mr. Kreger's attitude and failure to properly address the issue were deeply disappointing.
In light of the above, I would like to formally request the following:
1. A refund of the $10.69 charge that was erroneously billed to my account.
2. An immediate review and corrective action concerning the management team and employee training at Crunch Trinity to prevent such issues from occurring in the future.
