Crystal Auto Mall hidden charge

When I purchased my 2013 Toyota Prius V from Crystal Auto Mall, I paid for a Toyota Care Plus Prepaid Maintenance Premium Plan. The plan included "preventative maintenance every 5, 000 miles." The plan was good for 5 years and expires in March, 2018. I had my 40, 000 mile service performed along with other services that required payment. I later discovered that buried in the bill was a charge for the 40, 000 scheduled maintenance service that should have been free with my maintenance plan. I contacted Crystal's service department and provide proof of the billing error and requested a refund. I was told they would not provide a refund and gave the follow explanation:
"After further review, the services were completed on your vehicle. It was a clerical error and we are not going to compound on that error. Your ToyotaCare Plus services were completed at different times, so you were still able to take advantage of them."

What?

I found another Toyota dealer to service my Prius and recently purchased a new Subaru Forester. Go to Crystal Auto Mall at your own risk.

Crystal Auto Mall Finance department

Dear Manager,

This review is specifically for the finance department.I bought my car, a Scion FRS from your showroom recently. I initially leased it from your showroom back in 2013.I have been a fan of your showroom but my recent experience with your finance department has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Recently when I was buying my car out after my lease was over I was asked to get this service pack and extended warranty for my car (which isn't the same as Toyota's Own Extended Warranty, it is a third party warranty(Over $3000) from JM & A Group.At that time, the finance guy, Brian Castellon never mentioned that to me).
Although, at that time I thought it may not be a bad idea to have extended warranty (because of my impression that it is Toyota extended warranty) but later after some research I realized it's not the best deal for the warranty and I went back immediately to cancel it. It has a 30 day return policy and I was given a signed cancellation form by Brian Castellon and was 'assured' that it will be taken care of and refund issued by the next statement cycle.
That was Aug 17, 2016 and yet it has been over two months and neither Toyota financial or JM&A group has received any paper work from finance department of Crystal Auto Mall. No refund has been issued so far even though it has been two statement cycles. Even last month when I called and talked to Brian I was assured that by this months statement it will be refunded, "100% positive"

I have two suggestions to you:

1. Firstly, be transparent in the finance department and don't hide facts to get consumers sign some stupid extended warranty which isn't even Toyota's own.

2. Secondly, when you are so quick to take my money, please do your due diligence when it comes to after sale service and follow up with other agencies about paperwork.

Crystal Auto Mall Awful company

Had a 30, 000 miles service for $600.00, 6 weeks later I had a flat. Tripple A came and when he changed tire inform me that both rear tires was bald on the corners. So I took the car to a place I knew they replaced the tires and aligned the front end. cost $350.00.What I would like to know is why was I not told about it when they rotated the tires at Crystal Auto Mall, witch also told me next time I came in that I only had 25% brakes left. Were I got the tires I was told 50% Something is rotten and it is not in Denmark.

Crystal Auto Mall Bad customer service

I gave my car there for servicing couple of times. The
first time they replaced the charcol canister. The
service manager said they are doing it for good will
and no charge. But infact that part is recalled by
toyota and they had to do it free. So they lied to me
vethough I am a first time customer. Being near to
residence, I had to give my car there again for
servicing. Last time when I gave the car for serving,
I got the car back with a dent in the hood area and
some damage to the headlight. The customer service
relationship manager is not ready to do anything for
me and told he reviewed the video tape and everything
looks fine and its not happned in the garage. I know
that he is lying, so I asked him to show me the tape.
But he refused telling all privacy policy stuff that
he cannot show it to a customert. I had to escalate it
to his supervisor. He called the body shop and reduced
the price couple of hundered dollars but thats not
going to make me happy. Bcz I am not willing to pay
$600 for some mistake they did.

The customer relationship manager sucks and he doesnt
qualify for that position. They charged me $100 for a
oolant flush but other dealers offer it for $50. They
do pure rip off. So dont give your car there for
service. I think they dont know, if they make one
customer unhappy they are not only loosing that one
but a lots of customer over time.

• Brought car in for an oil change – waited for vehicle for over two hours
• By the time I got home, I could not tolerate the smell of burnt oil. I also noticed that there was a puddle of fresh oil on the floor of my garage.
• Brought vehicle back the same day and spoke with the service manager – he took car in for a look. He concluded that the person who changed the oil was very careless and had spilled a large amount of oil over the engine block. The staff attempted to clean vehicle that afternoon
• Took car home but the smell was still unbearable. Made an appointment to have engine cleaned
• Received a loaner that was filthy in and outside – truly gross to be in. The vehicle didn’t even have windshield washer fluid, which I had to replace. The person issuing the car annotated that a complete inspection of the vehicle’s body, for scratches or marks, was not possible because of how dirty the vehicle was
• Picked up my vehicle and by the time I got home, the car still had the same old-car smell – burnt oil
• Wrote an email to the Service Manager complaining about the experience and they never responded. Instead, I received an email offer with a $20 discount for an oil change.
• Will never go back to that mediocre place again
