I gave my notice in for a unit I was renting from CSI rentals. They informed me I could forfeit 30 % or my full deposit as it was before the termination date.
They have since informed me they are taking my full deposit which I can accept as it was an early termination but they have sent me an email stating I have 7 days to pay over R12 500 for repairs to the apartment. This is ridiculous as they are charging me to repaint the whole unit when only certain walls I drilled into required painting. They have also charged me to repair the bathroom that was damaged when the unit above me burnt down. They kept promising to repair it but never did. They never sorted out a huge problem with the geyser which was draining power and costing a fortune on electricity. They never replaced the solar panels after the unit above me burnt down. They almost never worked even before the fire but it was a benefit I was paying for as part of the rental fee but hardly got to enjoy. I never had a complaint that was easily resolved. I spent the whole of December and most of January without hot water because they said they were on leave and would not pay to send someone out to repair the geyser that stopped working. I have requested an invoice and statement for the amount they claim is outstanding which is over R12500 for the repairs and I have been waiting six days for this now. This is literally the worst place to rent from, they are rude and unprofessional, especially Bianca. I will never rent from them again and will encourage everyone I know to avoid any property they manage!
Desired outcome: Treat clients with respect and send my Invoice and statement I requested six days ago.
