Abonnement
They won’t stop trying to charge my card
I signed up for Cupid.com but quickly found out it was worthless. All fake accounts and who knows what else. So I went through the insanely convoluted process to end my membership and they still continue to try to charge my card randomly. I’ve called customer service and they lie and say it’s taken care of and then I’ll be notified that they are trying to charge me again. And yes they are declined so far but if they keep at it it’s possible one will go through. This seems illegal on top of just being horrible as a company. Can someone get them to stop
Desired outcome: Stop trying to charge me for a subscription I don’t want or use

Is Cupid.com Legit?
Cupid.com earns a trustworthiness rating of 42%
Double-checking is the best solution in this case.
Cupid.com protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
We conducted a search on social media and found several negative reviews related to Cupid.com. These reviews may indicate issues with the company's products, services, or customer support. It is important to thoroughly research the company and its offerings before making any purchases to avoid any potential risks.
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- We found clear and detailed contact information for Cupid.com. The company provides a physical address, phone number, and 2 emails, as well as 4 social media accounts. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.
- Cupid.com has claimed the domain name for cupid.com for a long time, scammers and fraudulent websites can also claim domain names for a long time and use this as a tactic to appear more trustworthy.
- Cupid.com has a valid SSL certificate, while Scammers can obtain a valid SSL certificate by using fake information or by using a stolen or hijacked domain. In some cases, they may even use a certificate issued to another legitimate website.
- Cupid.com has been deemed safe to visit, as it is protected by a cloud-based cybersecurity solution that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to help protect networks from online threats.
- We looked up Cupid.com and found that the website is receiving a high amount of traffic. This could be a sign of a popular and trustworthy website, but it is still important to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of the site before sharing any personal or financial information
- Adult content may be available on cupid.com. It is important to be aware of potential risks and to use caution when accessing or engaging with such content.
All Fakes
Actually I am a memeber of https://j4l.com/582755
and I joined Cupid to have fun while my girlfriend from the other site was absent. But Cupid turend to be a complete disaster, I will never use this website again. All the women's information on it is false. To my anger, I spent a lot of money here and finally found that I was chatting with a man. I hate cheating. I will leave this site forever. I clicked on the report. The staff here were slow. I emailed them. I didn't receive any news in a week. The man who played the woman was still active. If you want to find serious relationships, maybe you can try the site mentioned above, it`s much more safe.

This site is a complete rip off
This site is a complete rip off. The woman start contacting you BEFORE you have a photo or description up. ok, so maybe that is a mass mailing. BUT once you start talking to them, they all want to have cyber sex or take you to their site. BUT they are too shy to meet AND they don't really answer your replies, they just direct you to sex chat. ODDEST thing...
Read full review of Cupid.com and 12 commentsDO NOT DEAL WITH THIS SITE
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS SITE! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME! Fake peole that do not exist! OR SCAMMERS FROM GHANA OR NIGERIA! After you pay everything dries up and then they link you to their other sites to try to get you to pay again! I did use this site in early 2007 and found someone real... 5 year relationship.. still good friends. But it now seems to be total b.s. Call and theaten them they will offer you 40-60% off. Threaten enough to tell/blog/and review the truth and they will credit back to card or offer you free time. Again DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS SITE! and TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW THAT ARE LOOKING INTO DATING SITES TO STAY AWAY! EVENTUALLY THEIR REPUTATION WILL CATCH UP WITH THEM AND HURT THEIR BOTTOM LINE!Read all reviews the truth is quite apparent! . Best to goggle dating site reviews. Good ratings for Match.com / Ok cupid / Lavalife /... be cautious and good luck!

years ago cupid.com used to be some what descent and i did not to bad on there, but id say in the last 3 years it totally changed for the worse, tons of fakes and bs on there, , and the funny thing is that they charge more now in the last 3 years since it got way worse than they did before when it was a lot better..
If it's to good to be true, it probably is
I think all the other reviews are correct all email I get from cupid are bogus and they want me to pay hell no The only sites I can recommend are match they are proactive in hunting down scammers and surprisingly pof which stands for plenty of fish & okcupid which are free they do get scammers but if you remember the golden rules never give money if they ask RUN wait 7 days before going to next stage and give any contact details out.
And finally IF ITS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS..

To cancel and remove your profile you have go through tons of hoops at the site

To cancel and remove your profile you have go through tons of hoops at the site and then you are directed to call a number?! Are you serious!? Do not waste your time!

Cupid.com Fraud Website
On 18 Feb 2012 i made a purchase of Rs. 80.73 from my credit card towards the merchant: GTS*CUPID.COM +[protected] GB.
But today on 21 Feb 2012 my credit card has been charged by 750 automatically with out my permission while i was never involved in this transaction. And this amount is also charged by these frode people. Cupid.com is a fraud website. Once you have debitted your account by this fraud company, They would continuously deduct your amount each month, and you never stop this deduction from your credit card. These guys are only cheated money from innocent people.

How to get rid of Cupid.com
I joined cupid.com and was fairly uninterested, did never update for a full membership and was hardly on there. After a few weeks I suddenly realised, that I got emails from other dating sites, saying members want to meet me etc.. When I clicked on there I saw, that I out of the blue had an account on these sites including my photo (!), though I never joined there. As the layout of all sites was very similar and the process of deleting the accounts as well, I did some research and found out, that they are all run by the same company (cupid plc). On there about us page they write: "The Group's most heavily visited websites include www.cupid.com, www.flirt.com, www.benaughty.com, www.girlsdateforfree.com and www.datetheuk.com. The Group also promotes the niche brands www.datingforparents.com, www.speeddater.com and www.maturedating.co.uk." Btw I was a member of almost all of these and more!
I now wrote one crispy complaint mail and threatened them with legal consequences pointing out, that I already contacted the citizen advice bureau with this matter of breaching my privacy and oh wonder - the next morning I had 13 emails in my mailbox saying all the time "your profile was deleted" :-D
The practice of copying a photo and put it on other site is criminal in my view. That´s why they probably reacted very quickly. If you have the same problem, threat them with legal consequences and that seems to work. Their contact details can be found on http://www.cupidplc.com/about-us/contact-us . Good luck.
As with most dating sites it takes ages to delete a profile. I had to do this about 6 times and as seen above hardly had a third of all my unwanted web entries deleted. I am quite happy, that my threat was successful.

Card Payments being taken without knowledge
My partner signed up for a trial with Cupid PLC before we got together, about 18 months ago and didn't like it so cancelled his subscription before the trial ended. He's only just realised that they've been taking £29.99 as a card payment every month since, approx £500 + has been taken without his knowledge. Not sure what we can do to claim this back, have stopped the payment via the bank because we can't find a phone number for Cupid PLC and they're not replying to their online email form.
