They sellin new cars above sticker price, cuz of the lack of cars
They sellin new cars above sticker price, cuz of the lack of cars. The chip shortage caused it. That's like price gougin, man. Folks gotta find another place to go!
Worst dealership ever
Worst dealership ever. Worst communication ever. They hit my truck while it was there and when I said I wanted to get it fixed outside of their dealership, they fixed it anyway against my will and request because they didn't want a claim against them. Snakes and liars. I will never again go there and will encourage everyone I know to never deal with these dishonest people.
I bought a 2021 F-150 XL from Currie Motors Ford of Valpo
I bought a 2021 F-150 XL from Currie Motors Ford of Valpo. I was pre-approved through a credit company, but I wanted a quick process. However, it took me five and a half hours at the dealership. They ran my credit through a different company, even though I had already mentioned my pre-approval. Three days later, I noticed dents on my left fender and hood, and my computer stopped working. Now, I am planning to take legal action against them.
I wanted to add to my review of Currie Motors Ford of Valpo
I wanted to add to my review of Currie Motors Ford of Valpo. I got a call the next day after I put a review to ComplaintsBoard.com. The General Manager called the next morning and had the rest of the refund to Finance check cut and sent it to my bank. He went above and beyond to fix the problem I was having with the refund. He stands behind his word and fixed the shortage on my loan. Thank you!
I had a really bad experience buying a car from Currie Motors Ford of Valpo
I had a really bad experience buying a car from Currie Motors Ford of Valpo. They marked up the price by over $20,000 from the MSRP, and they didn't honor my A plan. On top of that, even though I have excellent credit, they gave me a ridiculously high interest rate. It was so bad that I decided to trade in the vehicle and take a loss just to get a better financing rate elsewhere. This dealership will scam you and take all your money. After I bought the truck, I received multiple rejection letters from banks saying that the truck was too expensive and they didn't want to give me a loan. But Currie Motors Ford of Valpo was determined to screw me over, and they succeeded.
Currie Motors Ford of Valpo claims on their website that they value and respect Kelley Blue Book dealer trade-in quotes, but this is not true
Currie Motors Ford of Valpo claims on their website that they value and respect Kelley Blue Book dealer trade-in quotes, but this is not true. They advertise prices on cargurus that they do not honor. Currie Motors Ford of Valpo sneaks in an additional $500 onto the price once you arrive to begin the paperwork. So, while you're browsing the car lot for a vehicle within your price range, it's actually $500 more than what they advertised. You will never recover that extra amount they added on. They engage in false advertising, overcharging, and taking advantage of unsuspecting individuals. They should feel ashamed.
Terrible
Terrible. I never had such a bad experience. Called 10 minutes before arriving about an $18,000 car and they said it's available. But when I got there, they said it's sold. I asked if there's something similar and they tried showing me a new $36,000 car! When I asked to talk to a manager and explained the situation, they said they'll show me a car in my price range. But they showed me a $30,000 car instead! I'm pretty sure they're using bait and switch, pretending to have the car you want just to get you there, then trying to sell you something twice the price! Absolutely ridiculous. Don't buy from here, they'll show you almost anything except what you want to see.

They don't honor what they say on the phone about pricing
They don't honor what they say on the phone about pricing. I'll keep insisting until they resolve my problem. They offered me a price range of *** to *** for my truck, but when I arrived, it was a mess and they won't honor any price in between. They lied about their information. I sent them all the necessary documents and asked four times if they were sure about the price they could give for the truck. The lady on the phone said yes. I want what they offered me on the phone, or I'll keep pushing this problem.
The company does false advertising called bait and switch
The company does false advertising called bait and switch. They got a big sign on IH65 that sells *** F150 trucks for $19,000. The sign don't say no restrictions on the price. When I got to the dealership for an F150 for *** the dealership ignored my request to buy one of the F150 at the price on the sign. The closest they would come to the $19,999 was $25,000. In all my buying experiences this was the worst experience buying a vehicle ever. I want the $6,000 difference from the price on the sign for the vehicle I bought from Currie Motors.
I bought a 2021 Bronco and they promised me a free 2-year maintenance warranty
I bought a 2021 Bronco and they promised me a free 2-year maintenance warranty. But when I got home and checked the paperwork, I noticed they charged me $350 for a 3-year maintenance warranty. I called them that day, and they said they only owe me $140 and couldn't give it to me. They said they would send it to the ***. I ended up trading in the car two weeks later because I really didn't like it, and the place where I traded it in paid off my balance. This *** doesn't have anyone to talk to, just an automated phone service and a PO box. So I probably won't even see my money if they did send it. I want Currie Motors to give me my $350 back. I'm 65 years old and I really need this money. Thanks.

Today, my step daughter went to purchase a vehicle from Currie Motors Ford of Valpo, via phone call
Today, my step daughter went to purchase a vehicle from Currie Motors Ford of Valpo, via phone call. During this call, my step daughter put a deposit of $1000 down to purchase a vehicle. After careful investigation, we learned that the vehicle was not only not in transit, but hadn't even been built yet. After finding out that the vehicle wasn't built yet, we tried to get her money back, the salesman wouldn't return nor answer any call from her. They won't even refund the deposit. I would not nor would I ever purchase a vehicle from this dealership ever! No customer should ever be treated in a manner as my step daughter was treated. STAY AWAY FROM CURRIE MOTORS FORD OF VALPO!
This dealership don't honor service appointment Schedule
This dealership don't honor service appointment Schedule. I made a appointment for a oil change over a week ago. Once I arrived for my scheduled oil change I was told there was a small wait. No big deal my friend was in the area and would pick me up for lunch. Came back in almost 2hrs time. Was told since I left the dealership property my priory switched to those where waiting even though I had appointment. This whole process would now take 3.5 hours + which I didnt have time for. So ended up leaving without my truck being serviced and was told its just how things go here. Never have I ever seen such poor customer service. Nobody seemed to be trained properly. Really is a shame my family has bought 5+ cars from here. Which wont happen again. Good job on losing a whole family of customers.
I went to this dealership to buy a car they had on their website for $39,480
I went to this dealership to buy a car they had on their website for $39,480. When I talked to *** and *** about it, they told me it actually cost $44,595. We negotiated based on that price. I asked why it was more expensive than advertised, and they said it was because of "market adjustments". After we agreed on the trade-in value and the total financing amount, I asked if I could put $3,000 down. When I was signing the paperwork with Financing, I saw that the vehicle price was now $48,980. *** said that if I subtracted the $3,000 down payment and the incentives, it would equal the $44,000 price. I told them that was wrong. The $44,000 was the starting price, and everything should be deducted from that. The sales manager said there was a "misunderstanding" and tried to add some extras to the deal, but still wouldn't give me the truck for $44,000. They also refused to give me copies of any documents.
I traded in my 2020 F-150 on Sep15
I traded in my 2020 F-150 on Sep15. I traded it in for a 2022 F-250. The sticker price was ***. I bartered with the salesman and got the price to ***. He got the financial guy involved. I signed my name once on the iPad he had, then checked boxes. I had bought a *** from him last year and didn't have any problems, so I trusted him. I bought the truck and went home. 5 days later, I get the bill and it's more than I agreed to. I looked over my contract and saw an extra *** was added to the price. They also charged me full sticker price. I thought it was some kind of mistake, so I went in to talk to them. I talked to the finance guy and he put me on with a manager. I was livid. He explained to me and showed me a different truck with a *** extra sticker in the window. I was with my girlfriend. Neither one of us saw the sticker. And the *** extra was never even mentioned. The manager brought out the first salesman's notes. We were getting nowhere with him. I asked him if I could have a copy of the notes, he said he would do it. He left the room and came back without my copy, he said he needs it for their files. I had a few choice words for him and left before I did something foolish. I feel like they robbed me. This was my 3 *** I bought. Don't think I will buy another from them. I retire in 5 months, probably be the last truck I buy anyway. Not happy with them.
On May 25th me and my wife went to Currie Motors to ask about an EV and they said they didn't have any and weren't taking orders
On May 25th me and my wife went to Currie Motors to ask about an EV and they said they didn't have any and weren't taking orders. But they did have an Escape Hybrid, so we decided to buy it. We asked about the interest rate and they asked about our credit rating. We told them it was in the 800's. The salesman, ***, said the finance department worked with 30 lenders and would get us the best rate, which shouldn't be a problem with our rating. We went ahead with the purchase even though we asked about the rate multiple times and they kept avoiding the question. We spent over 6 hours at the dealership to get this deal done. They showed us a 75-month monthly payment on a flex plan and a 66-month standard payment plan, but still didn't tell us the interest rate. We chose the standard plan assuming the rates would be the same. When we were signing the paperwork close to 10 PM, they finally showed us the rate of ***%, claiming it was the best rate available. On Friday morning, I saw a *** commercial advertising 0% interest for 66 months. They never told us about the 0% interest rate, even though Currie Motors was advertising it. They obviously knew about it but pushed us into the ***% loan for 66 months. I feel like they intentionally deceived us by saying they were looking for the best rate but never offering it to us. We will have to pay $7,145.74 in interest over the life of the loan when we could have paid $0. I have contacted Currie Motors 7 times by phone and once in person, and did an online chat, but haven't gotten any resolution. They keep giving me the runaround.
I took my large Excursion to Currie Auto because my ride wouldn't start
I took my large Excursion to Currie Auto because my ride wouldn't start. We talked a lot and they said I needed new stand pipes and the fuel pump replaced, costing me $2500. After chatting with a lady from the service, they lowered the price by $350. On 12/30, they said my truck was ready, so I went to pick it up. Paid up and hopped in my truck to leave, but dang, there was this loud vibrating noise. Went right back to the service department. Talked it out and a tech rode with me, but the sound didn't come back. Talked to the service manager and said I'd bring the truck back if the noise returned. Well, it did come back, and I caught it on video to show the dealership. Finally, on 2/17/22, I got my truck fixed again after talking with the service department. Sent them a video of the noise and a pic of an oil leak in my driveway that wasn't there before the repairs. Talked to them today, 2/24/22, and they said they haven't even looked at my truck after a whole week. I was really mad about getting ripped off and overcharged for the first repairs. And now, I brought my truck back twice for problems they caused, and they haven't even looked at it after a week. Sent them a video of the noise.
I went to the dealership in December and asked about trading in my lease that hadn't ended yet and buying a car
I went to the dealership in December and asked about trading in my lease that hadn't ended yet and buying a car. I told the salesman that I could only afford $1000 down on something new and that I needed the lease taken care of by the dealership or rolled into my car payment on the new vehicle because I couldn't afford two car payments. The salesman said they would figure out the lease and get me into a car. After some back and forth, I settled on a used Jeep Grand Cherokee, and we started negotiating price and payments. I said I could only put down $1000, but I wanted to keep my payment under $400 per month. The salesman said if I could put $3000 down, they could give me a reimbursement check so I would only be paying $1000 down, but my monthly payment would still be under $400. After some discussion, I borrowed the extra $2000 for the down payment with the salesman assuring me I would get the reimbursement. I bought the car for $3000 down and received a reimbursement check for $1755, which was the agreed amount. The salesman assured me the lease would be taken care of. In January, I brought in the extra key to close out the lease, but I was still being charged for the monthly payment. Ford Credit told me the dealership had 30 days to close the lease and probably hadn't done it yet. When I was charged in February, I called Ford Credit, who told me to call the dealership. I called the dealership in the first week of March and spoke to two finance managers and the salesman, but they didn't offer a solution. They said the reimbursement check was given to me to pay off the lease. I told the finance manager that's not what I was told when I bought the car because I wouldn't have bought it. I explained that I didn't have the extra $2000 for the down payment and the reimbursement was promised to me to cover the difference. The finance manager said there was nothing they could do and it was above their paygrade. They said they would talk to their manager. After four days of calling and getting the same answer with no call back, I finally called and asked for the general manager. I left my name and contact number, but I never heard from the general manager or anyone else.
I went to Currie Ford to trade in my vehicle and possibly get a lower payoff
I went to Currie Ford to trade in my vehicle and possibly get a lower payoff. I noticed they had an older vehicle for about $9,000. I didn't want to lose my 2019 Jeep Renegade because my hours were cut due to COVID. One of the salesmen, ***, helped my mom and me when we arrived. He showed me the vehicle I saw on their site. I wasn't interested, so he showed me another one, but again, I wasn't interested. I told him I was going to try to find a way to make my payment and that I got the vehicle with my grandfather's inheritance, so it was hard for me. (He had my keys the whole time). So I said we would come back. He then pulled around with a 2020 Ford EcoSport and told me it was a rental through them, so I could get a good deal. He started the credit application, and my address was no longer the same. He told me to keep it the same, but I told him no because I live on my own now, not with my parents. He said, "Well, we'll just keep it this way," clearly so he could get a deal. Meanwhile, we asked for my keys multiple times because my mom had to pick up my little sister, but we kept getting "just a few more minutes" as a response. Finally, he asked me if I could do $380 a month. I said no and told him to give me my keys. He walked away again and came back with more numbers. By this time, I was furious and wanted to do anything to get out of there. He said $280 and three months no payments, with 0% interest for the life of the loan. I was under the impression that my loan was $15,000. Finance didn't go over all the numbers when I went to sign, but I trusted these people. I got home and looked at my paperwork. My loan was $27,000, with my trade-in at $20,000. The next morning, I was going to leave for work, but my car wouldn't start. It had to be towed to Currie Ford. I talked to ***, told him I wasn't happy with any of this, and wanted my Jeep back. He said he couldn't give me my vehicle back and that I wasn't approved for three months no payments. So he went by my Jeep payments, which were $204, and multiplied that by 3. That was his way of "making things right," not going by the EcoSport payments of $280. The problem was that a wire was not connected, so my car wouldn't go into park. My stepdad and I went the next day to speak with someone else and try to get my Jeep back. I was told I would have so much equity in this vehicle and I'd be fine if I wanted to get rid of it. I spoke with ***, who was extremely rude. He laughed at me and called me a liar, saying they don't take people's keys and that it's an old school tactic. My mother was right there the whole time, also asking for my keys. He wouldn't pull out the sheet of paper they write all the numbers on, even with my permission after stating he would if he had my okay to do so. I'm stuck with this vehicle. I have so much negative equity, I can't do anything, and I no longer know what to do. I looked on their Facebook page, and many others have complained about the same situations. I had to call off work because of this after I just started getting some hours. I was pushed into something I really didn't want, and I would like something to be done.
Hello Mr
Hello Mr. Sfikas, I hope you're doing well. I wanted to reach out to you about my recent experience with one of your managers at Currie Motors of Valpo. Last Saturday, September 19, I called to inquire about a 2019 Explorer listed for sale with stock number T6628. I spoke to Moe A who told me that the vehicle was still available for the advertised price of $26,408. He mentioned that there were no extra discounts or fees. I explained that I wanted to buy it for my business in Florida, without a trade-in, and that I would pay in cash via wire transfer on Monday when the banks opened. Moe informed me that your office doesn't accept wire transfers due to the hassle, but they would take a cashier's check. He also mentioned that due to the pandemic, it could take up to 120 days for the title work to be completed. He then handed the deal over to Brenden D, who collected my personal and business information and sent me the vehicle order assessment. The assessment included a $199.91 doc fee, which I understood. Additionally, there was a $215.25 state license and title fee for a new tag, and a $336.10 lic/drive away fee listed on the same line. Moe warned me that the vehicle might be sold before Monday unless I placed a $3,000 credit card deposit. Despite the Explorer being on your lot for almost two years, I decided to take a chance and wait until Monday to check with my local DMV about the 120-day delay. On Monday, I emailed Brenden to let him know that I would overnight the cashier's check for the full price, sales tax, and doc fees. However, I requested the removal of the license fees since the 120-day timeframe wouldn't work for me. The DMV had advised me against using a tag agency and informed me that I only needed four documents: the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin, an odometer statement, a bill of sale, and a sales tax receipt (Indiana form ST-?). It seemed like a straightforward process, and I could register the vehicle and transfer my tag immediately in Florida. I was in the process of arranging an auto transporter and securing insurance coverage for the Explorer to ensure a swift transport, as Moe mentioned it needed to be off your lot by the end of the month. However, Brenden surprised me by texting that Moe wouldn't proceed with the deal because I'm an out-of-state buyer and "too many things can happen." I spoke to Moe, who explained that the "girls in the office" were too busy and didn't want to handle out-of-state deals. In my 38 years of doing business with Ford products and making numerous vehicle purchases, I have never encountered anything like this, especially for a new vehicle that is two model years old with only one year of manufacturer's warranty remaining. I'm not aware of any dealerships where the "girls in the office" make sales decisions. I'm not sure where this situation will lead, and I don't usually write negative reviews, but I'm extremely disappointed with what should have been a simple transaction. If your dealerships don't sell to out-of-state residents, it would be helpful to make that clear. It's hard to believe that you don't sell to out-of-state buyers, especially considering your proximity to state lines. It's frustrating that one day you're willing to make the deal, and the next day you find an excuse not to. Your stores seem to emphasize customer service, but unfortunately, that was sorely lacking in this case. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
