Horrible
Things you are not told upfront…. Your employer sets a day limit and a gross limit, so if you reach either, you can not access any daily pay. Second… I received an email as to where my first check with daily pay was being deposited, it actually went somewhere else, so this caused me to lose my overdraft protection. Third… to even have a concern addressed, or an “escalated ticket” per customer service, three unsuccessful attempts to transfer money or four business days need to pass if there is a computer glitch; which customer service stated “it miraculously just fixes itself”, not an IT department; but it just “fixes itself”. They take the fees out immediately, but put your concerns on the back burner. The CEO and other administration look awfully nice in their pics and expensive suits. As I told customer service, I didn’t need a direct deposit company. That already existed. I need access to my funds as promised, daily, with no cut off limits. And last… my direct deposit would hit my account quite early, as in Wednesday night, when my employer made my deposit; after I got daily pay, I didn’t start receiving my money till Friday. It’s honestly more trouble than it’s worth. They are making a killing off of the fees that they are charging us. It’s OK if there’s an emergency or an immediate need for the money, but even then when I needed it, again, they didn’t tell me there was a daily cut off amount and a gross cut off amount by my company, so I couldn’t access it anyway. So honestly, that didn’t help either. I will be canceling them soon. I was told by customer service it takes two months for my company to take back over my pay. That’s just some nonsense. I should’ve listened to the warnings from others that have used DailyPay, this app. It’s more trouble than it’s worth and customer service does not help at all, although they were polite, I don’t wanna wait a whole week for my concern to be escalated and have to wait for my ticket to be filled out. I would never recommend this to anyone.
They have worst costumer service and worst service this is my worst experience ever
My first time with daily pay is worst and I don’t like to continue with them bcs I don’t like the way they do they service.
I get my paycheck from the company I work with it wasn’t the amount I expected there was half money taking from my paycheck and that half money was sent to daily pay so I requested my other half money from daily pay on 26 august cause I don’t like the way they pay me I just cancel my account with daily pay on 26 august after getting my first paycheck, so now on my second paycheck they take the same amount of money that was sent on daily pay for me on 26 august for my second paycheck on 9 September I didn’t request nothing from daily pay bcs I was already canceled my account with them after my first paycheck so they said that the money they take from me is the money that I requested on 26 august. That make no sense to me bcs my first paycheck from my company wasn’t the amount I suppose to get bcs daily pay was holding a portion of it and my company pay me only the amount they have and I get the rest of my money from daily pay , the rest of my money that I get from daily pay was sent from my company to daily pay , and now they take the same amount of money from my paycheck without me being requested, they take that money from me and they don’t want to give me my money back.
If I was gonna rate daily pay service I would give them a 20/100
They costumer service 0/100
F
That’s my Worst experience Ever
Good luck at them ever getting in touch with you
So according to the agent I talked too they overpaid approximately 500 people two weeks ago. This also conveniently happened on the same week I was supposed to be receiving my yearly bonus vacation pay so I was “expecting” extra money and was not surprised when I had extra money deposited into my account. A week later they took one of the 661 dollar payments back from me. I called and had the issue “investigated” (which it wasn’t) I was supposed to receive an email explaining what happened. So this week when I received only an 18 dollar paycheck I called to see what happened(keep in mind I had no idea this was connected to the “overpayment” which had happened the previous week like I said no one emailed me). So somehow I was paid like 1100 dollars but they are claiming they also overpaid me by 1300 dollars. Was I supposed to receive a negative paycheck? The agent just kept going back to like every transfer I had made the previous weeks which should’ve already been taking out of those weeks that I had worked but apparently I guess they weren’t? Anyways who knows I was so frustrated at the end of the call I just hung up. The lady on the phone was nice even though I was furious and still am if anyone is reading. If you’re an accountant or just really good with math then I guess this service can be ok for you. But even then like the title of this post good luck if you ever have an issue and be prepared for them to overpay you and then take money from you without ever notifying you.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Do NOT use this service if it is being offered at your job. First of all: they act as a middleman for your paycheck. Meaning that whatever you withdraw; they take out of your total paycheck and they pay you the difference. Which isn’t a big deal, but you’re going to struggle to keep up after so long; and you’re kind of at their mercy at that point. The way it works is that they’ll update your account “up to” 24 hours after your last shift worked. Sounds good, right? Well just when I needed them the most (I live in Central Florida fyi, so I was affected by the recent hurricane); they didn’t refresh my account. 3 days, no update. I talked to a tech, and they said that it was “out of their hands, and that it was to make sure that I didn’t get double-paid.” Which, by the way, is another huge point against them. They “accidentally” double-paid me, which means they paid me my paycheck twice. Which means your account will have a negative balance, and you can’t withdraw until you do one of two things: either pay it back immediately, or they’ll withdraw it from how ever many paychecks you want to split between. For example: if you’re -$150, you can just take away $50/paycheck, but you’re not allowed to use the service in the meantime. Well, this “mistake” happened to thousands of employees, and what did they do to make up for it? “Your next account withdraw will be fee free!” Haha. Yes, it’s $2.99/withdraw by the way. Ridiculous. Avoid this service at all costs. It’s not worth the hassle!
Stay Away from DailyPay
DailyPay preys on lower income workers by partnering with certain companies to offer advances on your check as shifts are reported. Your employer may or may not explain how the service works (in my case they did not). If you sign up, your entire paycheck gets deposited to DailyPay and the remainder of your check, that you haven’t cashed out through instant transfers for a $2.99 fee, gets sent to your bank on payday. In my experience, I had to reach out to a support representative after making a change on my account and I was astounded when the representative treated me like a criminal and exclaimed, “you made a change on your account now you want us to fix it?!”. The representative framed the company as a benefit provided by the employer, which is laughable. Lower income workers know that they have to make their checks stretch until the next payday and DailyPay knows that these people would be more willing to pay $2.99 to access some of the funds, essentially leaving them with less money on their full check and in a constant cycle of using DailyPay to make ends meet and never catching up. The company is fraudulent and knows exactly what they’re doing. At the end of the day, this is no benefit to anyone but their company as they make money off of people who don’t make as much as they deserve to. Beware if your employer offers DailyPay. You may want to try getting an advance here and there through Dave or another reputable service. My advice is to not buy into the lie that this service is a benefit to you.
Amazing concept, awful in practice
I first used DailyPay when I was hired at Pizza Hut (Flynn Restaurant Group) and had it set up and working within my first two days. Besides a few minor annoyances and the occasional hidden fee, my experience was fine and it ended up being a huge help in a time when I desperately needed money ASAP. A few weeks later I quit Pizza Hut due to the god awful management of FRG.
A few months later, when I finally land another job at family dollar, I am completely out of money and have been for some time now. A few shifts into the job I’m told family dollar uses DailyPay and you can imagine my relief.
As I go to set it up I learn that DailyPay STILL THINGS I WORK AT PIZZA HUT. With *literallyno way to change my employer through the app or website I’m forced to call DailyPay customer service.
They are completely useless. I had one representative who actually tried her very best but the other 6 or so people I talked to did nothing. NOBODY THERE COULD UNDERSTAND THAT I CUT TIES WITH FLYNN RESTAURANT GROUP ALMOST HALF A YEAR AGO. Finally I ask one of them to escalate my ticket to their supervisor thinking MAYBE somebody there has half a brain and can press the button to reset my account. Nope.
It’s been a week and still have not heard from anyone over there and no matter how hard I try to talk to a supervisor they seem to be “in a meeting” every single time.
F this app. F their customer service. If you need to use DailyPay at any job other than the first one you use it for, just don’t. It won’t work anyway.
Absolutely the worst app
This is the most useless app that I’ve ever downloaded and I literally don’t give reviews, but here it goes…. First time having DailyPay on my phone, but I had been downloaded the app just was skeptical of using it at first. So upon finally trying to use the app to transfer the funds it didn’t work. I had to start reaching out to find out what was going on and upon doing so they finally got it to work after an hour or so but today is the kicker. I go in the app to transfer my DailyPay for the amount that was available to receive upon doing so I just would like to know what idea was given and who thought it was a great idea to put the automatic savings transfer button right under the DailyPay transfer button and boom it got transferred into an automatic savings which I can’t go in and empty out to put back in my account since I don’t have access to use the EMPTY BUTTON. Also upon talking with a rep she tried her best got it escalated and I’m still waiting for some one to contact me after sending in the verification from the support team at DailyPay and I reached out at 8pm EST AND STILL WAITING TO HAVE THIS ISSUE RESOLVED AND ITS NOW 11pm I shouldn’t have to wait this long to get assistance and wait for my money. Useless just completely useless if you can’t get access to your own money. Definitely will not be using this useless app with terrible layout options after this pay period. I’m beyond dissatisfied and disappointed with this useless platform………….. DO BETTER FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS SAKE GHEEESH!
UPDATE: Today I’m still waiting for this issue to get resolved 3/3/2022 smh
Terrible customer service
I have never written a review but I am so appalled at the customer service I’ve received from daily pay that I’m making this my first. My employer offers this, and since I’m coming off of a 6 week injury and trying to rebound financially I am desperately in need of my paycheck early. I attempted to sign up for daily pay multiple times but continue getting an error message that says I can’t sign up until august (a year ago?). Several of my coworkers use daily pay without difficulty so I’m unsure why this has been the case for me. I attempted to call multiple times, wait times are so long (30 min) that I’ve had to hang up without ever reaching a human. Finally reached a human on Monday who told me I would have to submit a pay stub for them to correct the problem and reset my account (which I never even set up), and they would have the issue resolved within 24-48 hours. This was horribly stressful since I needed my money days ago, but there was nothing more I could do but comply and send my paystub immediately, which I did. I requested an email response confirming receipt which I didn’t receive. Waited 48 hours and emailed for update. No response. Called and waited another 30 min before reaching another service rep who informed me my pay stub was received but the person who was supposed to escalate it never did so he would do it but I’d have to wait ANOTHER 48 hours! When I asked further questions and expressed my frustration he called me rude and hung up on me. I’ve submitted several emails and have heard nothing. I am behind frustrated and disgusted as this is a perk my employer offers to alleviate financial burden and I am unable to use it.
Great service, somewhat okay staff
So I changed my phone number, right? So I also needed to change it in daily pay. So I got in contact with someone over email and requested that my phone number be changed. The person I spoke to originally, asked me for whatever information they needed from me. Close towards the end of the conversation, they asked me for my phone number that was currently on file and the phone number I wanted to change. Then suddenly I was rerouted to a supervisor named Tyler. Don’t know why I was transferred to a supervisor, didn’t need a supervisors help, nor did I request a supervisor. Tyler comes on and says that he’ll help me change my email and phone number. I said say that I didn’t want to change my email I just wanted to change my phone number. I kid you not, he then replies saying “no problem I can help you get your email changed”.
I then responded by saying once again “as previously stated I did not need my email changed I only needed my phone number changed”. He then emailed me back days later, in that amount of time that it took him to email me back I had already contacted DailyPay over the phone because they took too long to respond back via email. But when he finally does respond he says that he went ahead and changed my “contact information” for me. Come to find out what did he do? Changed my email exactly like I asked him not to. I even have screenshots of the whole conversation. It’s obvious that he didn’t actually listen to anything I said despite the fact that I continuously said I did not want to change my email and the fact that I had to go jump through all these hoops just to try and log back into my account when the email that he changed it to I don’t have access to any more, it is kind of annoying.
If you want decent help, call them. Because I’m convinced some of the people who handle the emails don’t actually care about helping you with your issues
Don’t use daily pay
This is the worst company ever I have to beg them for my money with over 20 phone calls and 10 emails The employees are liars they tell you anything to get you off phone since my paycheck is connected to DailyPay and DailyPay is having a glitch in their system I haven’t been paid in four weeks there’s money just sitting there and they just keep telling me that it’s being processed but no one’s able to process my money also the way daily pay works is if you work one day it takes 24 hours for the system to refresh to show that you have earned that income I work five days a week and did we pay has been taking my earned money and telling me that I have a negative balance when I already took care of the balance weeks ago and it was no fault of my own the system sent a duplicate payment to most of the people that use daily pay in my building it’s over 10 people going through the same problem right now of not getting paid I have bills and a child that I have to take care of and unfortunately I have already missed one child support Payment and and yesterday was the second which means now I could possibly land in jail for failure to pay so not only am I not getting paid I have to hope child support will understand and not put me in jail at first everything was working well with the app but as soon as a glitch came it’s been downhill and as of this review I still have not gotten paid worst app ever and the sad part about it is we pay a fee to use daily pay it’s funny how when it comes to taking the fee for using DailyPay everything works just fine but when a client is having a problem there’s nothing that can be done about it it’s like you guys don’t care because it’s not your money just imagine if someone told you you had to work without getting paid it’s not fair and it’s not right and now I have to take you guys to court just to get my money back will never use again so now when a new employee asked me is it good to use DailyPay I tell them no it’s not worth it because you may have access to your money early but once things go wrong you won’t get any help and I’m glad I was able to let New employees know that you’re better off just waiting for your paycheck the folks over at daily pay just doesn’t care DO NOT USE!
False advertising, GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD
I have had dailypay for a little less than a year now. At first I loved it, it was easy to use and never had any major problems. Over the last few months though it has gone straight in the toilet. Tell me why at the beginning and end of each month there has been an issue with receiving my funds. This month it’s been out for 4-5 days. I have talked to 3 different customer service agents and they all have told me the issue is resolved but the system is playing catch up. Ok, the first time I was told that I took a screenshot for proof that they promised it would be fixed in 24 hours. Guess what, 24 hours later and it’s still not fixed. Talked with customer service again and they said the system is just playing catch up now so it will refresh with the correct amount soon. I waited for 2 of the refresh times and it did nothing. Talked with customer service again and they told me it’s fixed it’s just a waiting game now. Nothing they can do on their end. So I waited and when it refreshed again it took the $67 I had in my balance out, so now I have a $0 balance. When I heard fix itself I assumed I would refresh with the correct amount, not take it all out. It’s been about 5 days now since dailypay has actually worked and this is not the first time it has malfunctioned like this. Not to mention if they put too much in your balance because of an error they had in their system they will take it out of your next balance increase and not tell you. Just not say anything just take it out cause I guess they can do that? Like I would’ve thought I would’ve at least got an email or something that y’all messed up and you have to fix it by taking some of my money, but no they’ll just do it. I would never recommend this app to anyone, wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy. Honestly terrible app, terrible customer service, and they don’t know what’s going on or how to fix it. They just say it fixes itself. Well it seems like your app can’t fix itself so maybe you should hire a team to fix it. If I could give you NEGATIVE STARS, I would. Many people rely on this app for bills and if it’s not going to be a reliable app then there is no point in using the app. You advertise same/next day pay but your system malfunctions so many times that it’s no longer “same/next day pay” it’s “whenever our system decides to work day pay”. Like how can you tell me it’s ok that y’all’s system has been messed up for 4-5 days and your only response is it’ll fix itself. NO IT WONT! FIX IT YOURSELF!
Do not use
Just not a good experience at all. Come to find out that they are taking more money then what I transferred cuz I’ve been doing the math up all night doing it too for the last few weeks. Only reason I found this out was cuz a couple weeks ago I had my card that I transfer the money to locked cuz that’s what I do if my paycheck or what’s left of it isn’t there by the time I go to bed around 2am on Friday’s so that way things can’t take out when I’m sleeping so I can pay the stuff that needs to get paid over the stuff I want like Netflix an what not. So I had forgot I locked that card when I went to transfer money an since it was locked i went an unlocked it an tried again to transfer an said I had to wait 24hrs to be able to transfer money or add a new card. So I went to add my cash app card an I got a notification saying that I can’t add another card till I talk to customer support so I called was on hold for a half hour but had to get ready for work so I opted to save my spot in line with a call back took them 3 hours to call me back but I was at work an couldn’t answer my phone. So when I was able to I called back an was on hold for just a few minutes shy of an hour so had to go back to work my hour break was up yep used my whole break on hold so I opted for another call back. Finally another 2 half hours later got a call back was able to answer this time got my card situation handled so finally transferred that money then I look at my statements an says I transferred it twice. The whole statement part of daily pay doesn’t make sense either for example it said this is what you transferred from June 3rd-10th pay period but then have the transfers for June 11th in that pay period but yet I got paid x amount an I owed them x amount just didn’t make any sense but was up all night doing the math cuz I was laid off from my job as of last Friday July 1st out of no where mind you so I have no income right now an seen how much I supposedly transferred. Mind you I was adding in the 2.99 fee too when I was doing my math still didn’t add up an shouldn’t be counting that in there since that is already paid. I would just suggest not using it unless it’s like everyone says if you absolutely need too an only in small amounts. Oh not to mention I was on the phone with someone from customer support at 5am this morning for him to tell me they didn’t take the money an that when I told him the math I was doing an did over an over again wasn’t adding up for him to tell me that I’m taking to much time on the phone that he would email me the transfer statements for the pay periods an all that when I had it right in front of me plus the statements from the cards an accounts I’ve transferred money too right in front of me an her to have got the email hmm ok.

Stealing paycheck from instant transfer
DailyPay is stealing people’s paychecks in a whole. they take an instant transfer fee in the amount of $2.99 as soon as you pull money when you punch out from your daily 8 to 12 hour shift. Not only that they take another 299 times how ever many times you have withdrawn in your paycheck cycle whether it’s biweekly by monthly monthly weekly etc. I was robbed...

I have been trying to log into my daily pay for days now, I can't log into my account because it wants to verify it's me with an old number I don't have access to ! Daily pay has been playing games about changing the number, I given all the documents they need and still I wait ! Never mind I need this resolved to pay for prescriptions for breathing treatment medication, but still no resolution ! So angry !
Absolutely ridiculous customer service
I have never been so upset. Ive used daily pay for years and on Friday they experienced a glitch in their system and I was not able to access my money in order to pay rent. I transferred what money I had and now they are telling me I have to repay them and cant access my account until the repayment is complete. I waited on old for 3 days over an hour.
Desired outcome: I tried speaking to supervisors and corporate and was told by representatives "if i transfer you, they will tell you the same thing" RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
Account has been hacked twice.
On October the 6th of 2023. I had been dealing with my account being hacked once already and being without funds are pretty hard. Daily pay did work hard to help me. But when they said the money deposited into my account I didn’t receive anything at all. I was on the phone with the bank for days trying to figure this out. I got a whole new account, new routing numbers and account numbers. I was suppose to have 553.92 deposit on the 7th I didn’t receive anything. I know that daily pay was working hard to help me but I still didn’t receive my remaining pay. I did receive my last check just on the 20th but that’s on a whole new account. I feel like I’m being ignored and I’m not sure what else to do.
Please is there anything you guys can do?
Desired outcome: Please if you could. Just deposit the money into my new account I would greatly appreciate it and thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m not trying to be hateful at all and I do apologize if I have been mean.

DailyPay customer service call
This incident occurred on 8/21/2023 at 4:42 pm. I made a call to DailyPay support at [protected] after receiving an email that morning that my account password had been updated when I had not done so. I have not used DailyPay in more than a year but I wanted to reset my password to be safe. I don't remember my previous password and was, thus, not able to...

My daughters last paycheck
My daughter has been trying since 3/17/2023 to receive ALL of her final paycheck from T-Roc. She is still owed around $453. She has been told it was sent to card on file. The funny thing is she received both of her final commission checks no problem. She has called Daily Pay and all she gets is a runaround. Somebody named Jessica from the fraud department is checking into but she won’t return any phone calls. I’m to the point whe our next call will be to the US Department of Labor and file a complaint and to seek legal advice if this hasn’t been taking care of soon.
Desired outcome: My daughter, Courtney Phillips, to receive what is owed to her.
Customer support
I losdt my phone asnd cannot access the app because of two point authentication. I contacted suppiort thru email to have the number changed. Mi provided a most recent check stub, ci0py of my id and employer nid number and wasd then told I mwould be updated within 24 hours. Thisv has been 5 dasys now, cant get to my pasy, wont banswerb e mails and no phone number to call
my earnings are not updating and the agents do not fix it
It has been since the 8th of May since my earning have updated. I have bills that I need to pay and 200 does not pay them. The agents just keep adding notes to the acceralated ticket but nothing has changed. At this point I am looking to leave and find another service to get paid daily ( pay active which I never had a problem with ) I need this done by tomorrow or I will file a complaint with a government agency
Desired outcome: That my earning update and I can pay my bills
Poorly thought out
I don't understand how this app has so many good reviews. Their verification system is absolutely stupid, because how am I supposed to verify a new phone number that I am trying to put on my account using my old phone number that I clearly would not have access to anymore? The only way that I am able to receive my first payout is if I use the verification code that is being sent to my old phone number which is no longer active. Why would you guys use phone numbers as the primary way to verify identity? phone numbers are way more subject to change than email addresses are but yet y'all choose to use phone numbers. not only that, I then tried to get in contact with you guys customer service team there was no chat people online, tried to call the hotline and they said wait times will exceed more than 30 minutes I have secure my place in line using the callback feature still have not received a call it's been over an hour and this is ridiculous

Horrible customer service
So I did a next day transfer for Tuesday 12/27/22 on 12/27/22. I have been trying to get my money put into my bank account all day. Just to be told 6 hours later it won’t be in my account til the 28 tj cuz the 26 th the banks are closed for the holiday. Does this make sense to anyone? No bcuz it’s just an excuse to keep my funds another day! The banks are closed on the 26th but I could have voted for an instant transfer ( on the 26th mind you) but I choose to forego the fee and get it the morning of the 27th when the banks are open BTW. I also called my bank to verify it was nothing in my banks end ( and it wasn’t) then I called DP customer service and I was told ( another different excuse) that it won’t be in my account til the 28th bcuz I did the transfer after a certain time! And they refuse to make it right! Why did they not say my options were instant transfer or transfer on 12/28/22? None of this makes any sense. I will b deleting my account. Thanks to crappy customer service!

You’ll be sorry you did biz with these clowns
First, be aware that you’ll get your paycheck TWO DAYS LATER than normal once you use this service, because your employer will then start paying your pay to DP and then they will pay you what you are owed after they take their funds out.
Also, you will NOT likely get access to your funds as you make them. Almost a month out and they are STILL only making available about 3-4 days worth of my SEVEN DAY FULL WORK WEEK OF PAY.
This is not helpful.
So now, in addition to them not recognizing when my employer reports that I’ve worked FIVE 11 pm - 7 am shifts through the week on the EXACT SAME SCHEDULE EVERY WEEK, I’m delayed by two days getting the rest of my pay, which now puts me in worse financial shape than I was in before I did business with them.
I’ve communicated with them repeatedly, provided screen shots of my work as reported by my employer, all to no avail. You’re going to be screwed if you do business with this company. They’re screwing with people’s ability to pay their bills. I have no respect for a company this sloppy, and half the time their system is “down” so you can’t even see what’s going on.

They take 50%
They will take 50% of your paycheck once they transfer it to your bank account on payday. DO NOT USE THIS APP. The only thing good about daily pay is the customer service representatives (the ones who are patient and speak native English). They are full of fees, full of mystery charges, and full of scams. Whoever runs this company is truly a genius, convincing vulnerable, hard-working employees that they get to see your daily balance.. with the hefty price of taking HALF OF YOUR PAYCHECK. The only reason I got the app was to see my balance so the company wasn’t ripping me off lol turns out DAILYPAY WAS ABOUT TO RIP ME OFF. Taxes in Pennsylvania should be AT MOST 23%, add 50% to that and the rest is your paycheck. Also I’ll add this, when I signed up and when I was offered this, no where did I see they were going to take 50%. This app is lucky I caught this asap or I would’ve contacted my lawyer and brought this whole company down. Whoever runs this company is lazy garbage who doesn’t work for anything, They steal from the hardworking. Do not use. Beware of this app especially if you need to pay phone bills. Just use direct deposit like the good ol fashion way
