failure to contact me regarding anything
I have sent an email 7 weeks ago canceling my studies as they have failed to service me since I joined. I registered then didn't get all my study material then decided to change my studies then again they failed to assist me so had to complain, then eventually they contacted me but then continued to debit me the wrong amount.
I have got no faith in this company and the service is horrific.

I spoke to you about six moths ago about when I am getting my diploma for a exam I finished almost a year ago. You sent me the forms and I returned it with a copy of my ID. It seems to me that one only gets results if you raise your voice. It is the time of year when interviews are coming up, and if I fail a interview again and look like fool for not being able to show a diploma for something I finished a year ago I will go see my lawyer again and sue.

And this is not the only problem I had with them. It seem that they only want to take your money. I can garentee you if I send a mail now saying that I want to enrol for a course they will phone me the next day. Its pathetic!

no customer service, poor communication
My son is registered at DCC (student number 433074) for Mathematics N3.
On 14 September 2017 I've received an e-mail from DCC ([protected]@dcc.edu.za) regarding the November examination. In this e-mail we've been informed that my son should register at a FET college by 15 September in order to write the November exam. They've given very short notice but we went ahead to try and register at a FET college.
We went to the Ekurhuleni West College in Boksburg on the 15th September where we've been informed that they no longer do registrations for DCC examinations. (Please note that this college is on the DCC's list of colleges that they've included in their e-mail). I then phoned the Benoni FET College, no answer there! I then phoned Brakpan FET College. I was informed that registration has closed. My son could therefore not register.
I phoned DCC on 6 November and have spoken to Nicolette Lawson to find out what can be done in order for my son to complete the November exam. She has informed me that the e-mail I've received on 14 September from DCC was sent out by mistake. Apparently this is for the internal examination and not the external exam that my son is supposed to write. My son has already registered for the November exam and has paid the R450.00 exam fee to DCC as requested in the e-mail from them. Nicolette has requested that I send her an e-mail explaining my son's situation, which she will then forward to the relevant department so that our problem can be resolved. Needless to say, 4 days later and I'm still waiting for a response.
I've sent numerous e-mails to different departments to try and resolve this matter but I've never received any response from any of the departments ('[protected]@damelin.edu.za'; '[protected]@dcc.edu.za'; '[protected]@dcc.edu.za')
I'm at my wits' end, I don't know what to do anymore. Please note that my son has written 2 control tests during September 2017 in order to qualify for the November exam.

refund of course fees
I am really getting tired of this, we have been waiting since February 2017 for our refund to be paid to us and it is November 2017 now. How poor is that and do you know what makes it worse is when you get told that the money will be paid on certain days and it doesn't. I have been phoning and emailing and the response gets slower and slower. How hard can it be to pay money and send a proof of payment.
One of the students have already left our company and we still haven't received the payment?

I registered my son at Damelin Mowbray. Afterwards when everything finalised I was told they don't do the course at Mowbray. He then had to go to Cape Town
When you register it is advertised that you will received a tablet from the college. After numerous calls from February up until now re: tablet I was told its a "supplier issue all the time". My son was put on the waiting list.
Eventually on 11 September 2017 one of the consultant phoned me to say they have one tablet in stock. I went to pick up the tablet and was told about the procedure in getting the sim card rica.
My son then went to Vangate Mall Telkom. They said they don't do the rica. I phone customer care at Incredible Connection Canal Walk. I explained to the person about Damelin connection with them about the tablet and sim card. They told me they don't have any clue about Damelin and sim cards. My son then went to Telkom and Incredible connection in Claremont. They could not help him either. This issue cost me a lot of money cause we were sent from one place to another.
I phone Damelin Mowbray and told them about the problem. I made numerous calls but was told the person is on leave, the person is not in office, the person is in a meeting etc. I ask to speak to anyone, and ask if one of the staff can phone me back. I try to phone again on Monday 2 October 2017 but with no avail. Reception did not answer the switchboard.
Up until now no one came back to me and I'm still sitting with the problem.
I would be grateful if someone can phone me back and solve the problem. If the college know that this is an issue why are they still advertising about getting a tablet on registering when they have a lot of issues surrounding it?

bad bad bad service
Im a student at damelin. I wrote exams in june and have not received my results. I have been phoning them for 2 weeks now. Day after day im placed on hold. Today i was placed on hold for 65min. When i do get through the staff either cuts me off or informs me that they will call me back or email me before the end of the day. This happens daily and no one ever replies. I have made 56 calls thia week and have sent 13 emails. I phone 21 times today and only 2 calls were answered and even then i was once again placed on hold.

There have been numerous incedents for accusing me not submitting assignments, so there after i've gathered evidence of emails submitting my assignments and still my marks were influenced!
I've also been accused for "copying" from my phone while i was writing an exam. There was nothing on my phone to copy from nor was i even near the internet which is absolutely ridiculous to even think that i was!
Damelin staff should follow procedures before just accusing, i am fed up with Damelin and won't recommend Damelin Vaal to anyone!

I have not received all my assignment marks and the ones I have are conflicting can someone please sort this out. After numerous phone calls and emails I still have had no luck. This is beyond pathetic and I urge everyone to not consider damelin as they just do not care. Just to had my account is actually paid in the plus so they can not use my account as an excuse

Good morning
I have been a student with Damelin now for a while and I have never had such poor services as I did today.
I want to know where I can receive all my assignements' marks as I have still not received it and I requested that someone please send me the forms for the November exams. Thats all I wanted.
Yet, when I use MY airtime to try and call all your call centres, everyone answers and then drop the calls once I've told them what I needed. The one person's name that I can remember is Emily.
This happened the past 40 minutes. I have no idea who to call to get assisstance because the people who are supposed to assist us are dropping our calls.
Will anyone call me and help me with my queries at all?

staff are lazy and inadequate, programs aren't accredited with professional bodies.
When I first applied at dateline, I was told they are fully accredited. But truth be told they just a bunch of fock ups trying to make us believe they know what they doing but honestly they don't.
First semester we they made a big balls up with our financial management 1a exam. 45 min into the paper a lecturer of dameline went into each class making amendments to the paper.
The paper was constituted of two questions.
Question 1 = 70 marks
Question 2=50 marks
The lecturer changed question one. Which resulted in a 100% failure rate.
This happened because we were informed that the lecturer didn't mark according to the amendment but according to the original question. We all were forced to rewrite the paper.
Rendering all our preparation for exams and sacrifices (money, time spent away from work and family, just to mentions a few) useless and irrecoverable.
Many different occasions I also got very bad attitudes from them, and its seems the only way you get them to reply is to be appalling, rude or threatening.
Second semester I found out that they are not affiliated with any professional bodies. This might not seem like much but for an accounting student this is imperative.
Firstly when I questioned them the staff members didn't even know what I was talking about, bunch of focken idiots.
To date I haven't had a single concrete response from them, as they obviously not equipped neither are they informed about what it is that is needed from "a higher institution", I wouldn't even be surprised if there staff is the only high thing there.
Anyways i'm done with those bunch of fockers. Please don't send you children there. There are countless number of incidents that have occurred and no one seemed to be doing anything about, nothing changes and they never get closed down even if I do believe they should
horrible customer service
Hi, I have been studying with Damelin for the past 8 months now and must say in my life I have never experienced such bad customer service. First of all, their student portal has been inactive since the beginning of the year, and they also don't use it to submit results, so they leave you in the dark the whole time. Secondly, they say on the exam pack that the exam marks will be sent via sms on 1 Sep. 1 Sep came and went again. they then promised that it would be on 4Sep. 4Sep came and it went again. Today is 5Sep and I'm still waiting. I'm trying to phone their call centre but have been holding on for over 10min now. This is ridiculous. I'm am totally disgusted by the way Damelin handle the affairs and I really regret it since I have enrolled with them.

I registered in march this year for dip business management student no. 434254 and received the package which had the usb but I see no submission date for anything, I only see exams for june and november. I dont know where to start and I have been contacting the insititution with no assistance. I was told I will receive an sms confirming my password so I can see all notices and due dates but from march till now july there is nothing instead I am wasting money calling for assistance and no one ever gets back to me. My sister is studying through unisa and im seing the results, as for me im stuck in one place. Monthy instalments are deducted every month but I dont see myself as a student there. I had a large deposit for this course and the staff was fast and effecient to register me but after that its goodbye students from your side. Im soo disappointed right now im just thinking of 4 months wasted along woth my money.
I want to cancel my registration and get my school fees back
I had registered with early last year, paid over 50% of the school fees but have never received even a confirmation email of my registration, never received a student number and never received even a brochure as study material! They would call me and ask me for the fees which I continued to pay in hope they will send me correspondence and I've since yet received nothing. I've stopped paying any money to them because is is just dodgy that I've never received anything. Now all I've been trying to do is cancel this while registration get my name off their student list and fees owing department. Get all my money I've paid to then back because I had never received anything or studied through them. No one ever gets back to me, worst services ever!

I have registered with dameline in march 2017 there after decided to change my course, I spoke to yolanda monaisa on the 22/may/2017 and she even sent me a confirmation email.
I now called damelin to hear that no request was put in ever, time has passed and ofcause my studies has come to standstill while I am paying for nothing at this stage, the confirmation is bellow as proof.
I just spoke to nadia who confirmed that there is nothing I can do about the situation, I will now wait another 6-8 weeks.
This is pathetic and I regret going with this institute and I wish I never did!

I couriered the last of my assignments (Kommunikasie) to Damelin Braamfontein, Johannesburg on the 3 April 2017 using Postnet Courier. I then contacted Damelin to confirm that my assignments had gone out for marking a few days later. I was advised that they were busy sorting out distribution and they would come back to me. On the 7th May 2017 I was contacted via email by Vinesh Moonsamy stating that my work was never received and that I must resubmit. I then sent a copy of the tracking details showing that my assignments were delivered and were signed for by someone called Nomsa at Damelin on the 4 April 2017. I advised Vinesh giving all these details. I received a reply back stating that they would look into this matter with Nomsa to determine what happened to my assignments.
Todate I have sent 2 additional emails to Vinesh and received no further replies. How unprofessional. Surely if they have lost my work they should then just have the decency to say that. I especially pay to courier my assignments so that I know that they definitely arrive at the correct destination. If my work has been lost, will I then be given an average mark for these assignments as why should I have to have this delay in my studies due to incompetence of a Damelin staff member. Hope this complaint receives attention as I notice that there are many complaints outstanding.

I am absolutely horrified with the lack of communication and bad service I have received since I started my Interior Decorating course in 2015,
I have had no feedback regarding results for assignments sent and I have had to continuously phone and e-mail to enquire.
All my assignments and portfolios have been completed and submitted but I am still waiting on results for assignments sent in November 2016.
When am I ever going to receive my diploma!
I need to apply for jobs and cannot do so without the proper qualifications.
I have been phoning non stop to get answers but keep getting cut off or transferred to different consultants who provides case numbers but still nothing happens!

After precanceling my course due to bad service and not receiving my learning material. I requested a refund which was granted. I still havent received any feedback regarding the amount and the payout date that is due to me.
I have phoned and emailed numerous times and I am receiving the same answer countless with no positive outcome.
I tried to phone again today, but the phone line always gets put down after phoning 4 times.

assignment due dates, examination acceptance and dates - overall bad service
Damelin's Admin department are incredibly quick to get you registered and to take your money; but that is about as far as their service goes.
They deduct their fee from my account on a monthly basis; yet do not provide me with the service I am paying for as a student.
In my Student pack, I received a USB with all my required modules for the year, an envelope and an assignment cover. No due dates for assignments were provided!
I then received an SMS at the end of March to advise that my assignments were due in order to qualify for exams in June? NO DUE DATES WERE SUPPLIED! Anyway, I had also received an SMS from a "Student Advisor" who we could message if we had any questions; I messaged the individual, asking when assignments were due - surprise, surprise! No response!
I completed all assignments for all the prescribed modules on the USB; and emailed them to the designated email address for assignments. To date, I have not received any communication from the College.
I then emailed Xoliswa, the administrator who assisted with my registration as well as in taking my money; she has still not responded to my email - it was sent last week.
I am incredibly perturbed by the operations and administration of Damelin Correspondence College. This needs to be dealt with - as well as all the complaints posted on Hello Peter as well as on this site.

Damelin is the worst institution I have ever attended, without even the slightest bit of concern. They have got nothing but extremely poor service delivery, complete incompetency, and no care for student scenario. Once you pay and apply they no longer give a sheeeet!

This is a student whose course fee was paid in full. Since January we have had issues receiving exam results for November 16 exams. First after being cut off twice whilst calling a call centre who is clearly incompetent of assisting not only its own students but professionals as well were I told exam fees were outstanding only for the call centre agent to after 38 minutes on the call to realise that Damelin double invoiced was the so called probelm resolved and the exam results would have veen released within 48 hours... Needless to say there was NO EXAM RESULTS received TO DATE! I have tried everything from emailing the so called experienced Marielys on email who assisted signing up the student to calling demanding to speak to management, again, with no success!
