am currently a part time student at the city campus studying bookkeeping to trial balance.
The course commenced on the 14 September and we have only received our test books 16 November 2019 leaving myself with only 1 week of going through the text books before the exam takes place on the 07 December 2019. This is ridiculous and unacceptable to pay full price for a course and have no material to work from, this made classes so difficult as we needed to make copies or listen attentively to what the lecturer is reading to better understand.
I am disappointed in the lack of interest Damelin showed pertaining this situation, numerous emails were sent off without a response as to why you failed to deliver the text books on the day classes started.
This is difficult for student who have no knowledge in accounting and doesn't have a proper understanding, how do use expect student to pass and have good grades and not provide the training material.
I would like to know what Damelin is planning on doing about this. I am also escalating this to the ombudsman and hope this doesn't happen to other student.
