I bought furniture at Darvin furniture
I bought furniture at Darvin furniture. They give me 2 and 3 years with no interest. They give me a bank for financing which is TD bank. After six months they increase my balance due by $ 700.00 . I cannot reach them on the phone to discuss about that matter I went to Darvin they give me a number to contact the bank since then I have trying almost every day for 2 hrs. and nobody answer the phone. I even sent many emails with no answers. I think this bank is a scam just here to rip people off. I went back to Darvin and no one wanted to help me. I need to know in that case what I have to do . If someone can tell me exactly. Thanks

After 8 months of waiting to get a refund from a totally different furniture store with a difficult manager where i put a deposit on a bedroom set. I saw the Darvin ad on tv and went there to shop. Once inside Darvin the most pleasant, helpful, kind, knowledgable salesperson named *** was introduced to me and my mom. He patiently showed us furniture in the upstairs rooms. I wound up buying a very beautiful discounted bedroom set & lamp! My mom bought 2 accent chairs & a lovely power lift recliner. Thanks *** for helping *** Whenever I need furniture or mattresses this definitely is the 'go to' *** ask for *** he's the best.

I asked manager Valek why do I have to put $200.00 down when I have $8,000.00 to spend at your store? He responded with, "that's just our policy". He then changed the deposit amount to $100.00 which was an insult because I had over a thousand dollars in my pocket at that time. It was a total insult to me and my family. I left without making a purchase at all. My question is, WHY?

Months ago, I bought a bed at Darvin and was very impressed. I received a gift card to use on the next purchase. Today, I went looking for a couch and found one! My sales person was *** Gorge and she did an excellent job showing me couches on the second floor. There was a whole room with super buys, but found the color and size in needed out on the regular floor. There is so much to look at and I would recommend this store to anyone .

Buyer Beware!We purchased a headboard from Darvin Furniture October 16. We were told it would take awhile to process this order due to COVID issues. We finally received the headboard January 15, 2022. We tried it out and it really did not look good to us in the room we wanted to use it in. My husband called and was told that Darvin does NOT do ANY returns. Seriously? So we are now stuck with a headboard we are never going to use and a very poor opinion of a store I have relied on for many years. I am very disappointed as I believe most of my furniture comes from them and I had plans to use them in the future but never again.Made sure you are totally correct about your purchase (color, size, etc.) because you are stuck with it no matter what.

We visited Darvin with the intent of just seeing their inventory of tables. The salesman showed us different choices of what he thought we would like. We singled out one brand and he took the time to record our preferences. From there we were able to pick the options that we wanted.He was very thorough explaining the options all the way. He gave us the bottom line and it was so reasonable and tempting, we made the purchase. We now know where to go for other furnishings that we will need for our new home. We also know who to contact.
Business with Darvin has been excellent so far. Design Consultant Jane Doe came to our home and developed a design plan to best suit our space. She and Sales Consultant John Smith then walked through the store with us assisting in our furniture selections. So enjoyed working with them.
Had exactly what I wanted and in stock with quick delivery!

I had an excellent experience in the store with my sales person. They were set to deliver the mattress next day between 8 and 11. They showed up at 10 minutes after 7, and I had just gotten started taking the bed apart to prepare for them. They came in and were in a big hurry...woke 2 of my 3 kids and wore wet shoes on my carpet. They tried three times to lean the old mattress up against a TV mounted on the wall...I had to hold the mattress so it didn't lean on my tv. Then they almost left without checking the bed to make sure the mechanics worked, I told them to check it...and good thing because it wasn't hooked up properly. They were quick, but I was less than impressed with the delivery. Next time, I will do as my husband suggested and tell them to return after 8 am.

I went to Darvin furniture on Monday 9/7 to purchase a bookcase. I asked the sales person if it was in stock because I was going to pick it up from their warehouse. She told me that it was in shock on the Sept. 7,20. She said that I could pick it up but to wait until Wednesday the 9th to pick it up and that I should call the store first. When I called I was transfered to dispatch, they told me that the book case would be there on Sept 29th. I was transfered to the salesperson, Annie, she said it would be in next week. I told her that I needed it now thats why I ask her when I could pick it up. She said I could cancel the order and transfered me to service desk, they told me I had to speak to sales manager and transfered me to a phone that stated I had to leave a message and they would call me back.I left a message with my info and they have not called me back.

Tried to exchange it Oct 2020 they couldnt bc of covid but gave me *** credit for me to repurchase another one plus *** credit for a promotion they were running 3. 2 months later repurchased a new mattress and paid *** cash after the *** off 4. March 2022, mattress defective warrenty covered it 5. April 2022 went to Darvin with an *** credit (not even what my mattress cost) not 1 single mattress even in size queen *** that or close to ***. I would have to spend between 1k or more to walk out with a mattress!6. I have been robbed! They are got over on me and my mattress experience has been horrible and I shouldve never went to Darvin 7. Still waiting on *** to call me back So much more to this story but due to character limits i have to make it short

The product is good and prices are fair. Unfortunately the customer service after they get your money is 100% HORRIBLE. Been a customer for 21 years. Just about every piece of furniture in my home is from Darvin. Recently bought a new sectional. In less than two weeks our dog ripped a hole in it. Clearly this is not covered by a warranty. We just need to know our options and how much it will cost to get our new sofa repaired.. My husband has called and left two voicemails and no response...I sent an email to the repair department explaining issue, provided photos and copy of bill...no response. Waited 2 days and still no call or response via email. Sent 2nd email begging for a call...Still NO response. Went to website and tried the "Chat" with an agent. Heard back and I was told to contact the repair dept. All of the information they provided was the same info I already had. Asked for a manager to contact me...Surprise...NO RESPONSE! I have money to spend and Darvin will NOT be getting any more of it.

I have ordered a TV stand that comes with piers back in August. I was told it would take 4 weeks to receive them. Of course I understand that is a pandemic, so I have been more than patient. I started calling them back in December to see if there was an update on my furniture. They continually told me it would be there next week on about 3 different occasions. Finally, someone told me it would actually not be until April. Meanwhile, one of the many times I called, I was told a manager would call me back, but that never happened. I was also hung up on. I decided to go into the store and speak to a manager myself. I was told to speak to Steve, which to put it nicely, was a jerk. He ignored me for a couple minutes while he finished up what he was doing on the computer and said to me "hang on". I was then told there was nothing they could do for me and was given $100. I was not asked if I would like to get a different entertainment center that was in stock, or offered basically any solutions. I never ship there again, and will tell all family and friends to avoid them at all costs.

Management of Darvin Furniture in Orland Park, IL is non-existent. I purchased 4 loft/desk beds on Sep 3, 2021. The Order is still only 3/4 complete on today's date 15DEC201! THE *** WAS INITIALLY SUPPOSED TO BE COMPLETED 21OCT21!Since, I have had to return to the store itself (disabled) several times as every manager I spoke to on the phone has lied to me and never returned my phone calls. I have paperwork showing a NOV delivery, then a beginning of Dec delivery, to a we have 3 coming in and one is yours. and then we have to order it and we don't have a date for you. All the while they charged me for each delivery and had I not noticed they would have gotten away with taking extra money from me. They issued a return check for one of the charges (over charging). Currently, my son is without a bed frame and we cannot move forward in completing bedroom set up and design of their room. I paid in full for my purchases and currently owe $0.00. No one call back, no one seems to know a thing. they did Their own investigation that they said they were satisfied with. I am not satisfied with it as it resolved nothing! SHAMEON DARVIN MANAGEMENT! 0 STARS!

I ordered my furniture on 11/22 and after five months have just received it today, 4/24, ridiculous. I had called several times to follow up and was spoke to like I was putting them out. Called several times requesting to speak with the manager and was told I had to deal with their business office. My sales person did *** indicate in any form that my furniture would take this long to arrive. She did not indicate that this was a special order and could take longer. I feel the sales staff should be better educated in what they are selling and communication. I was given several different dates on arrival and many different reasons which made my whole experience horrible. I called more than once requesting a call back from the manager which never came. I inquired about canceling the order all together and I was told they would not refund the money I had put down. I will never do business with Darvin again and will strongly advise anyone I know that entertains the idea to shop elsewhere. I feel that once they get your money and the order the are completely rude and unhelpful. There are many other quality furniture stores so beware of doing business with Darvin.

I am disappointed in Darvin Furniture, and the way they Handle Business
I am disappointed in Darvin Furniture, and the way they Handle Business. I wanted a refund and had Very Good Reason why and If it is your fault. I spent over $4K on furniture, that is entirely to much money to have issues like I had, even if I spend $10, I should get a refund. My delivery charge should have been free after spending over so much, and I should not had any problems with my furniture being delivered or taken back. When I first got my furniture it was a big red flag, they forgot to bring my kids night stand to the bunk bed, I had to wait over 3 hours just for it, one piece and I had to work, they had just left, less then 5 minutes. The delivery was made on that Monday, that Wednesday my kids Full size bed had broke, had to wait a whole week with a broken bed for them to come back out, they finally came on a Tuesday, didn't have all their equipment for my kids bed. Had to wait a whole another week, til the next Tuesday, they temporarily fixed it, which broke again. I am pregnant so what if I sat on the bed and it broke. Lawsuit. Again they did not have it together and was trying to get me to wait again, this time I was irritated went to the store for my money back and was told they Wouldn't give me my money, but only store Credit. What if I don't like any of the furniture and your forcing me to buy from you again, which they did. I Picked something else and this time, the delivery wasn't so Nice or pleasant. I am pregnant and they looked at me, told me I would have to take out my kids other dresser, after the new dresser. I am not on a one level, nor apartment to get the dresser down and shouldn't be picking or lifting anything heavy. They were *** me to decide where I want the Full size beds to be, once they're up I am sure they knew it would be hard for me to move it, but they didn't care, they just wanted to drop it off so they could leave. My kids beds are close together and the dresser was left in the middle of the room. Very not happy.

Very upset with situation that we went through last night 4/7/2022 in conjunction with a purchase we made 5 years ago that had a warranty. First of all I feel we were misled about the warranty on our Canadel Dining Room Table and 8 chairs. The sales person had suggested we purchase the "Don't Use It, Don't Lose It Program" so we added on the $279 in the total. She said if we never have to make a claim then just come back at the end of the contract for a credit of what we paid. So last night we came in and showed all our paperwork. We were informed rather bruskly that we had to use the credit before the end of the 60 days after the contract was over. Okay, we are fine and just figured we would shop that night. I asked again was it for the $279 and she said "yes". So we spent 2 hours trying to find $279 worth of merchandise to use our store credit and then find out from the store manager that the $279 can only be a credit if we purchase something that is $2799 or more! I was livid and felt that the original salesperson had never explained this plus neither did the person at the Office desk reiterate it. Yes, I was very angry but mostly because we had wasted 2 hours of our time and were misled. Manager said there was nothing he could do. I wish now that I had just used the service and had the upholstery on the chairs cleaned so we would have gotten something. Yes, I did speak out loud as I left because I felt we had been deceived by Darvin and have spent so much money over several years. When I got home I looked over the paperwork and realized the pages where it required my signature that I accepted the terms were not signed. So now I feel that the salesperson attached all that together and made no attempt reviewing the parameters. If she had told us that I would have remembered. I think they could have provide a customer service/goodwill and allowed us the $279 to buy the 2 items. I will never shop at Darvin again. Back to *** Furniture to spend our money

Purchased a complete bedroom set with mattress and was suppose to receive a gift card. I have called several times over the past year and a half and even have email exchanges. No one wants to help and no one wants to return a phone call. I finally reached a manager Karjan from my yelp review by email. She has promised to take care of the problem and has yet to do anything to rectify the situation. I've emailed her several times and now she stated she is sending my issue to someone else to handle it. I asked her for the name of the person and no response. This matter has been going on for 18 months. Its about principle now as I'm assuming I will not recieve the gift card. I want them to tell me that I am not receiving the gift card instead of stringing me along. I have all communication between myself and the store (Karjan ***) if needed and they stated they were documenting my call under my account as we have a store credit card with them.

I received a reply 2 hours later. I replied 2/1, which still gave me time to get on the delivery time that was offered in representatives reply. No reply. 2/8 called rep voicemail 2/9 received email response and communication that I would be on the schedule for Saturday, February 13. 2/13 checked online for delivery time & order never showed up. I called and spoke with rep and was told the order was gone. 2/15 emailed to question again. 2/16 response telling me refund or wait 2wks for next delivery. 2/17 replied to wait for delivery 2/19 response that rep would confirm order with manufacturer. 2/20 replied asking for order confirmation- no reply 3/3 replied to ask for communication & supervisor- no reply 3/9 called store to find my order was in now

I purchased mattresses and a mattress frame at Darvin furniture In October I receive the mattress October 19 of 2021 I called the store and the very next day to complained that I was not satisfied with the mattress and I would like a refund of my funds talk with one of the store managers who said that there was no refund they would not give me any refund only thing they would do was replace the mattress if it was defective actually the mattress was defective the mattress should have been 60 x 80 it was actually 57 x 78 so I also continue to talk with the manager again and ask for my funds to be returned to me I didget a credit card from their company that also says that if Im not satisfied I do not have to pay the credit card payment because Im not satisfied with the product I would like my funds to be returned to me from Darvin furniture .And they are welcome to pick up their furniture

Purchased a brand new top quality bedroom set from Darvin Furniture on 7/4. I was delivered a defective/damaged/used bedroom set on 7/7. After 4 attempts to exchange furniture and repair "New Furniture" I was not satisfied and requested a refund on all 4 occasions. I attempted to work with my credit card company but Darvin representatives falsely stated I was satisfied with the repair/exchanged furniture and the case was decided in Darvin's favor. I have allegedly new furniture with misaligned drawers, stripped screws, broken drawers, paint on items, scratched mirrors, unknown sticky substance on furniture, chipped wood, drawers not closing completely, etc. Darvin has repeatedly refused to issue me a refund due to not exchanging items because of COVID-19, yet they have been out to my home on 4 occasions to exchange items. Darvin is advertising/displaying new furniture in their showroom but delivering defective/damaged/used furniture to the purchaser.

I Purchase a set of Mattress which have a 10 yr warranty and they are defect and Darvin Furniture acknowledges that there is defect in the mattress and issued a store credit on July 15, *** 30 days. What about the 10year warranty on the mattress. Darvin Furniture stated that I ordered was no longer in stock.
I purchased a bedroom set from Darvin on 10/31 and had it delivered on 11/3 Darvin was the only person to touch the bedroom set our move it since it has been in my house. I had someone sleep in the bed for the first time on 11/27 and the bed frame broke. This is unacceptable as they want me to call their warranty department to get the issue fixed

I was later informed that all of my pieces would not be in until late-July (3 months late). When my order was partially fulfilled and delivered on 6/11, I was sent an updated sales order that incorrectly stated my deposit amount was $564.75 and that my remaining balance to be financed was $3213.66. I have reached out to this company nearly a dozen times to get this corrected with no success. I would like the company to not only adjust my pricing to reflect the originally agreed upon price, but for them to remove the delivery fee due to the disrespectful, aggressive, and physically threatening manner in which their delivery contractor threw cushions at me (a 9- month pregnant woman).

I ordered a mattress from Darvin on June 2 on their website for a Serta mattress and paid $702.52. I received the mattress on June 16 and ever since I have slept on the mattress I have had back pain when I sleep on the mattress. I had reached out to Darvin and Serta multiple times starting June 20 and both businesses say I am unable to return the mattress. I have received excuses ranging from they don't take returns for comfort to they can't accept a return once it is in my home to they can't take a return because of covid. This is supposed to be a firm mattress and it was supportive when I tried it but when I received it it offers no support and I sink down into the mattress when I sit or lie on it which is making my back hurt. I am using a supportive bed frame. They offered to send a mattress expert out to inspect it so I filled out a form but when I followed up I was told it would take 14 days and they won't inspect for comfort. They also didn't send page 2 of the invoice.
I purchased a mattress set, but unfortunately, the mattress turned out to be defective. John Wolgemuth, a representative from Premiere Mattress Assessment, inspected the mattress and confirmed the defect. A copy of his report is attached as an image below. The full payment for the mattress was made on June 23, and the delivery occurred on June 29. I have an order number and a delivery ticket number for reference. The delivery team retrieved the mattress but declined to take the box spring. Although they agreed to refund the cost of the mattress, they did not offer a refund for the box spring, despite both items being delivered together. We are actively working to have them collect the box spring, which is valued at $150.00. For any further communication, I can be reached at [protected].

The night before the delivery they called me to tell me that they were missing one mattress. Then the next day they delivered the furniture and turns out that they did have the other mattress but they didnt have the hardware that was needed to build the furniture. They had already unwrapped everything and it was inside my house when they come and tell me that they were told to take everything back and that they will come back with everything when they get the hardware. I asked why couldnt they just leave everything in my house and they can just come back with the hardware when they have it but they said no because there boss told them that they needed to take everything back now they delivered it within a week after and the furniture came damaged. *** came to check it out and I have yet to receive a replacement.

I purchase a large TV stand and a sofa ,it's the first time shopping at Darvin. My sales person was very helpful and the delivery was timely. But the tv stand was damage and had to be repaired. The repair man came out and repaired the damage wood. Two weeks later I notice my sofa making a nose every time you sit on the sofa and get up. So another repair man had to come out he found the sofa to be defective and that he could not repair it. He told me to wait 72hrs. because it takes time for his report to get in and someone to call me. No one called so after four days of waiting I called. The lady that was helping with my issue was not being very Sympathetic to me not wanting a replacement sofa, I told her I just want my money back. She told me because its been past fourteen days [but well within 30 days] I could go in the store and pick something else. I told her I didn't want anything I just wanted my money back. I was told I had to go into the store to talk to a manger.

As soon as delivery men left, noticed paint on foot rest of couch (not visible when closed) & corner was scraped so fabric is damaged on same portion of couch. Got an automated follow up call as soon as they left, I left a message that I needed this to be resolved, but no one contacted me. Called Darvin again, but no one called back. When I called again, they said I needed to send an e-mail w/ photos. A few days later, I sent e-mail with photos of complaint. Took a few weeks, & follow up e-mail, but the person it was assigned to is no longer there. Finally it was assigned to a separate service to come out. Took a few weeks for them to come out. He tried to resolve, but paint was not fully removed. He said he would order replacement fabric & Darvin would contact me to schedule. No one has called. Still trying to get a response from Darvin after several calls & e-mails. Was told mgr has been out for a week.

I purchased a bunk bed for my two children from Darvin about a year and a half ago. Recently, my oldest child was climbing on the bunk bed when a board snapped and basically broke the bottom bunk. My son is only 9 and not weighing more than 70 pounds. The board completely snapped in half and came undone from the screws. This was reported via email to Darvin on March 9th and pictures were sent. We received a response March 22nd stating the item was out of warranty and since we did not purchase additional protection, was not covered. We were informed the pieces to replace the broken board were in stock, however. We responded to the email. No response was ever sent back and we have been playing phone tag with the in-house services department. My sons have not had a bed to sleep in and as stated before, we first reached out march 9th to get this fixed. I understand it is out of warranty and we did not purchase additional coverage, but this bed should not have broken like this.

On 8/25 we purchased a dining room set and a bedroom set from Darvin furniture. The dining room set was in stock and delivered without issue soon after we placed the order. We knew it would be a while to get the bedroom set due to COVID and it not being in stock. The bedroom set was delivered 12/18 but missing one of the two night stands we ordered and paid for. Looking at the sales order you can clearly see we paid for two but when Darvin ordered the set, they only ordered one nightstand but for the price of two. I immediately contacted a manager who said he would need to research it and get a second night stand ordered. No word back for over a month and when I called I was told that manager no longer worked there and I talked to the new one who told me the same thing. Since then I have left no less than 10 messages to call me back and they refuse to speak with me. We really want the second night stand. If they can't deliver it, I want a full refund of the entire set.

I received the mattress on June 16 and ever since I have slept on the mattress I have had back pain when I sleep on the mattress. I had reached out to Darvin and Serta multiple times starting June 20 and both businesses say I am unable to return the mattress. I have received excuses ranging from they don't take returns for comfort to they can't accept a return once it is in my home to they can't take a return because of covid. This is supposed to be a firm mattress and it was supportive when I tried it but when I received it it offers no support and I sink down into the mattress when I sit or lie on it which is making my back hurt. I am using a supportive bed frame. They offered to send a mattress expert out to inspect it so I filled out a form but when I followed up I was told it would take 14 days and they won't inspect for comfort. They also didn't send page 2 of the invoice.

I ordered a sectional sofa from Darvin on 5/9. It was delivered on 7/28. At the time of delivery it was discovered by both the delivery manager and my husband and I that the right side mechanical function was not working properly. Service came to our home on 8/17 and advised he had to order a new mechanism for that portion of the sectional sofa. I was advised to allow 4-6 weeks. I was patient due to the product, transportation and supply issues facing our country. I began calling for an update in the beginning of October and did not receive a response. Mid October I called again requesting management involvement at which point I was contacted via text advising the part would be available the following week. No contact again. On 11/8, I sent a text requesting an update and was told to contact the manager, *** at ***. We spoke and she she advised that she would research and get back to me. I have not heard from her and my messages since have been ignored. Bottom line, we paid for the product in full, $3,103.49, and it is defective and the store will not respond to my requests to make the situation right. I am not seeking a monetary resolution. I want to mechanical part ordered and installed as soon as possible. We have made many purchases from Darvin over the years and I am rather surprised by this example of terrible service. Please assist in any way you can. Much appreciated!

So I order a chair in April and I do not receive it until the end of August. That's fine, the pandemic is going on. The chair did not sit right when I got it. I finally get someone out here to look at it and I am told that the chair is damaged because of customer use. Considering has how the chair is only a month and a half old, this is pretty f*** appalling. The chair has been barely used and making noises since I got it. Now I'm being told I may have to pay half of the costs to fix a month and a half old chair because some tech wrote it up as damaged by customer use. It's supposed to be a heavy duty chair which is why I bought it. I used to love Darvin but I will never shop there again. For *** I'd expect a chair to last more than a month and a half. I took a 5 year warranty out just in case and I'm told that the warranty doesn't cover it because the damage isn't accidental. The chair is worse now since the techs came out since the first thing the tech does when he gets here is plops his humongous a*** down to see what's making noise. I went into Darvin and let them know I am Disabled and on a fixed income. I dealt with their delays. I took what I was told was a complete warranty. Now, because of the pandemic and the loss of sales, they want to s*** over whomever they can. A 1 and a half month old chair does not have a bent back and wood split from the frame when the chair has only been sat on less than a dozen times.

On 11/6 a table was delivered to my residence with a missing piece. I called the delivery driver immediately. The delivery driver never answered so I proceeded to call the store speaking with someone with the email of *** She stated that she would get in contact with the delivery driver and call me right back. That never happened. I have been calling the store leaving multiple voicemails and getting transferred numerous of times. I spoke with two different mangers one by the name of ***. She told me she would get this resolved. She never called me back. Then, Carrier told me that she was too busy to call me back. I have sent numerous of emails to the *** multiple occasions and leaving messages for a month with no response. Carrier told me that I need to speak with *** in the warranty department. When I called she was on vacation. I called *** today when I left her two messages and was told that she would call me back. *** is stating that I only can receive a credit because it was pass the 14 days. I explained to her I have been calling since 11/6 the 1st day that I received and notice the missing piece. The sales associate was misleading also, by telling me that a bench to the table will be here before Thanksgiving but Carrier said it won't be here until next year. I am not satisfied with the service because I'm being forced to have a credit when I want a full refund. This is totally unacceptable!

My husband and I placed an order for roughly $12K worth of furniture from Darvin in July. This furniture was delivered in September, and most of the pieces had some sort of minor damage. We were told to send photos to customer service, and they would coordinate repair. I sent these photos immediately. In between September 8 and February 5, 2022 when the repair person finally showed up, I received only a few phone calls simply stating that "the parts had been ordered", and that they were waiting for them to come in. When the repair person arrived on February 5, 2022, all of the replacement pieces were also damaged. My husband and I told him that we were interested in putting this issue to rest, and would just like a discount on the damaged pieces applied to our credit account with Darvin. He agreed to convey this to the customer service team, and said he would have them reach out to us. When I was contacted about this, I was offered a $50 Darvin gift card for the damage and the inconvenience. I have been waiting for A YEAR AND A HALF for resolution, and this is what they offer me. Insulting all things considered. I have attempted on numerous occasions to contact customer service, and I keep being told that a supervisor is going to get back to me. As of yet, that has not happened, and there is still no resolution. My husband and I are loyal Darvin customers - nearly every piece of furniture in our home is from there. We just want reasonable resolution on this issue and to have the price we paid for this furniture fairly adjusted in consideration of the damage and the inconvenience of pursuing this over the past year and a half. we have very clean house and no pest issue at all.I purchased floor sample from Darvin Furniture & was delivered on Jan 29 .i start having running nose and eyes , itching on my back and seating & symptoms increased, I reported to my Dr. she advised w/allergy pills thinking to be allergic from the sofa fabric , after symptoms were bad, we called Darvin asking 4 help Feb 2nd explained to Mr. *** he was helpful & advised a full refund will be issued *** &set pick up order Feb 3rd ,he added could be allergic from the thread or sofa fabric. Feb.3rd Darvin pickup service came and after I told them I was itching they start taking *** mgr advised not to pick up due sofa has bedbug - -were shocked-.my daughter called police report the inciddent, police present, the worker took the sofa out to the truck , then a lady callled *** from Darvin advised schedule the pick for tomorrow .that's what confirm for us that Darvin worker know for sure that sofa has bedbugs if driver did not say that we would not have know . feb4 no one pick up .I'm requesting a full refund :-unhealthy sofa -delivery charge -Budbug pest control treatment $1400 done by POINT pest control that i had to put on my credit card .( adding to that during 2 inspections could not see visiable bedbug howver possibility of bedbug eggs that were transfered due to me as an elder disabled I was trying to find comfort so I was transferring between this sofa and other chairs in different rooms .As Senior and elder it's miserable situation to be homeless living in hotel during this snowy weather & on going pandemic and pay all these expenses to to your sofa.Darvin also should pay for front door, *** repair that was damaged by your unprofessional movers when they took their infected sofa out. I did hired 2 professional companies to investigate my house and both found NO evidence of bedbug, make it very clear that bedbug that your drivers told us about, was just in your floor sample sofa that your sold me .
The experience with you was SO BAD THAT I WILL NEVER RECOMMAND YOU AGAIN , we are at the end of 2023 and still HAVE THE FEAR AND REMEMBER THAT HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
Darvin in Orland Park sold me a defective sleeper sofa that cannot be fixed despite sending 3 Technicians to fix it
Darvin in Orland Park sold me a defective sleeper sofa that cannot be fixed despite sending 3 Technicians to fix it. The last Technician came 4 weeks ago, and Darvin has not followed up even after I asked about the status 2 weeks ago. The sofa was delivered on 7/31, but I have not been able to even sit on it because the metal bars of the sleeper mechanism hit my wood floors and will damage them. I contacted Darvin in early-mid August when I discovered the problem. A Darvin Technician came to my home on 9/9 and noted that the sleeper mechanism sits too low. They ordered higher legs for the sofa, which were brought by another Technician on 11/8. He noted that the higher sofa legs wont work (because it screws up how the sleeper mechanism sits when opened up). He also noted the sleeper mechanism needed to be replaced due to grinding when opening/closing. A new sleeper mechanism was installed on 1/25/22. After adjusting the mechanism 6 times, the problem could not be fixed. If raised enough to be off the floor, the sofa cushions dont sit correctly. I personally worked with the Technician to raise the sofa on blocks to see how taller legs would work but the sleeper mechanism doesnt sit correctly when opened, as also mentioned by the previous (second) Technician. Also, as a short-legged person, my feet dont touch the floor when sitting on the sofa with higher legs, so its not an ideal solution. I appreciate that Darvin has attempted to address the issue, but it is not fixable and they have not contacted me in 4 weeks. Perhaps they should stop selling LaCrosse sleeper sofas. Ive had an unusable sofa for nearly 7 months(!) and have been more than patient while they try to resolve it. I would like a full refund and for Darvin to pick up the sleeper sofa. My sales order number is *** and I paid $1679.99 plus $163.80 tax (total $1843.79).
