Dealfind.com I openly advocate for all merchants to stay away from this marketing method

I am glad so many merchants with past bad experience are raising their votes against Dealfind and other sites like them (Groupon, LivingSocial).

I am a merchant myself, running a medical spa. I am receiving daily deals from many group-buy sites, but Dealfind deals are most shocking. When I see unlimited hair removal on (small area) deal for one year for $45 I feel pity for the merchant, as I know that the merchant will get only $21, plus a demanding customer who will visit their spa 8-10 times next year. That customer will take at least 2 hours of work time, so the spa will have a choice of paying their staff $10 per hour, or subsidizing that deal.

What's worse - that demanding customer will ask for a royal treatment, will refuse to pay full price for extra services and most likely will never return. Oh, yes, that customer surely will do one thing - he or she will go to Yelp or Google or whatever to give that business 1-star review.

The business model of Dealfind, and all others group-buy sites are straight-up Ponzi schema (just Google it!). I openly advocate for all merchants to stay away from this marketing method, as by doing opposite we devalue our industries and make our future profitability questionable.

Sliday hits the nail right on the head.

My partner & I ran a small two-person nail salon in Canada for three years. We worked with DealFind & found out after it was too late that we had been robbed & we were stuck with self-important "customers" who acted like we owed them the moon because they chose to buy our vouchers.

Bad reviews containing exaggerations, pettiness, & straight up lies were posted on google, yelp, & anywhere else these crows could sing their calls. We were overworked, not getting paid & barely keeping up with costs. Meanwhile, people complained that we had not offered them magazines on their way in for a manicure, or they disapproved of the colour of the walls, or the type of chair they sat in for a pedicure.

Because DealFind did not want us cap the total we sold, or how many an individual could buy, people would buy ten at a time to keep for themselves & sit on them until the spring time, when we naturally got busy anyway. I even got told, verbatim, "this is my last voucher, so it will be my last visit, " by a customer who had been in Ten Times. I worked on her ten times, with a smile, & she would not come in to pay me full price even one time. This was the case more often than not.

As the summer wore on, the demands increased. It was a nightmare turning away full-price business because we were booked solidly for weeks at a time. People with vouchers who waited until the day before they "needed" their nails done would shout at us over the phone about how unfair it was that we didn't leave a space open for them. Apparently they even expected mind-reading to be in our skill set. When I tried to limit the amount of voucher services I could do in a day, to make way for some revenue, people would call leaving irate messages & sob stories on my voicemail. I was even accused of descrimination based on possession of a coupon. Because it's a human rights issue, for sure. There were squeaky wheels everywhere & it felt like it would never end. & thanks to the lack of expiration date, it never really would.

Things took a terrible turn when my partner got so over stressed by how hard we were working & how endless it seemed, that she physically & mentally could not take another day. She was hospitalized very suddenly, in a week-long coma that became a one-month stay & I was left to hold down the fort alone for eight months, until our lease ran out & I could shut the whole thing down. She has since recovered, but will never ever work in the service industry again. I have switched business models in favour of a mobile nail service & the DealFind vouchers are still chasing me.

I kept the phone number of the salon & had it forwarded to my mobile phone, so I could keep in touch with the regular clients I did have & hopefully gain new ones. Now that summer has kicked in, I am still receiving calls from people with DealFind vouchers, many of whom are becoming upset with me personally for not honouring them any more under my new business model. I've been told that I should still be honouring them because I am still doing the same job. People don't understand the precarious state of debt one ends up in after closing a business under duress. According to the fine customers of DealFind, I should work for free until I'm dead because I once had a salon that offered its last deal almost two years ago. There is no consideration for my right to earn a living, or my need of food, clothing, & shelter. Never mind paying my college tuition & other debts I ended up saddled with after the shop closed. None of this matters as long as they get their cheap mani/pedi.

That is one horrifying example of the God's honest truth of getting involved with daily deal companies of any kind. I, also, openly advocate for all merchants to stay away from this marketing method. I have never felt so harassed by a group of people in my life.

Dealfind.com If a deal is too good to be true, it probably is

I also ran a deal with dealfind. It was an absolutely terrible idea and they went ahead and ran an ad I didn't approve, using a logo they created instead of my own and photos they did not have the rights to use. I hadn't even signed off on a contract or agreed on many of the details. They ran the coupon prior to Mother's Day for my flower shop. It was a complete disaster and I received no assistance or advice from any of the staff at Deal Find.

After an extremely stressful few weeks, and a huge loss in profits, I ended up deciding not to accept any of the vouchers going forward. It was the best decision I have made. I have posted the information on my website and Facebook page as well as numerous places within my shop and on the front door. There have been some upset customers, which I completely understand, but this would have put me out of business, with out a doubt. I know it was the only choice I had.

Deal find sent me an email stating that if I did not accept the vouchers they would pursue legal action a few months ago. I have not heard anything since then. They have been offering all customers refunds, even though it is past the 30 day cut off.

I requested they send an email out to all customers to request they get a refund and apologize for the inconvenience, but they refused.

The idea works in theory, but in reality there is no way a business can benefit from such a deep discount, no limitations, the deal seeking customers it attracts or the terrible "contract" they have created.

I am very much against Deal Find and would recommend that any business stay as far away from it as possible, no matter how tempting the salesman may make it appear. It seems like an ideal situation that you put no money down, they will send you money, you get advertising and customers walking through your door. Take a second to crunch the numbers at the discount you have provided, less the portion deal find takes, less any refunds Dealfind processes (which they take entirely from you, while keeping their portion). I was told a typical voucher would sell 200-400 max. Mine sold over 900.

I also strongly advise customers to remember that if a deal is too good to be true, it probably is. Many shops have been so over run by deal find customers they aren't able to make time for their regular customers. Just because they are busy does not mean they are doing well, it means they are spending a huge amount of time and money trying to please deal seeking customers, who will only move on to the next similar company when the next coupon comes out. All the while alienating their regular customers who are willing to pay regular price and support them as loyal customers. Merchants set their prices to ensure they can pay for their inventory, staff, bills, debt, etc - not to rip you off.

Dealfind.com I will never use them again

For small business owners, BEWARE! Dealfind, Living Social, etc. are NOT on our sides. They are 100% on the customer sides, because the customers are the one who give them money. I have seen and heard a lot of small business owners complained how Dealfind is taking advantage and screwing their lives! 2 of them actually declared bankruptcy at the end. I think small business owners need to think their margin really carefully and DO NOT take the offer to make your coupons never expired. BIG MISTAKE! The bottom line, you have to cover your butt!

80% of your customers will NEVER go back to your place, WHY? Because 80% of them, who bought 4 coupons, are only looking for cheap place to eat, do nails, do hair, and don't really looking for the next best thing. Restaurant owners, since Dealfind always run restaurant deal WEEKLY every Thursdays, their clients will always buy the new thing.And will your restaurant be in customers' mind? NO!
I was one of Dealfind victims. When a customer lied and told a bunch of completely fabricated story, Dealfind went to his side and pestered me 3 times! Accusing me doing something that I didn't do. When I tried to explain my side of story, they cut me off and clearly stood on the customer side.
You are right, if you want to get out from the deal, you need a good lawyer and CHEAP! It is not worth your time and money to fight this big organization.
I honestly feel sorry for small business owners, who want to advertise their business, and yet, got jacked.
You have to be smart. Ask a lot of question. And remember! 50% of your coupon value is going toward their pocket and PLUS! you are paying the credit card fee, not THEM! For example, for $19 deal, you only get $9.

On the other hand, I have to admit that Dealfind, Living Social are very smart advertising tools. So, small business owners, when you really want to get a good advertising but don't want to pay a lot of money, you can use Dealfind. However:
1. Do not make your coupon never expire! Make at least 6 months or a year
2. If you can negotiate, for example, 1 person can only buy 2 coupons. Honestly, 10% of your customers are really looking for the next best thing. I have repeat customers from those 10% who keep coming back and introducing my business to their friends.
3. Gratuity. Add 18% to your service is a MUST! Like I said, 80% of dealfinders, are literally dealfinders. They will not spend more than what they are allowed. Maybe $5 or $10, but VERY RARE. and TIPPED poorly!
4. Goods and Service = During Dealfind suffering era (for how long your coupon may be), you HAVE TO give your best. So you can get that 10% customer retention. For any difficult customers, take notes, put mark on their name, so when they are coming back to Dealfind to $#*!ing and complaining, you have proof. And again, Dealfind WILL NOT care to your side of the story, but at least you have put up a good fight! Trust me! Even after a good deal, you still find customers who will try to get everything for free!
5. MARGIN MARGIN MARGIN, be generous when you provide this information to Dealfind, let say your cost is 25%, say 35% to Dealfind. So at least, you are not 100% burnt!
6. In the mean time your dealfinders come to your business, use this opportunity to market your products and services. Maybe give them a deal, or whatever you may think of. Your goal to use Dealfind is to get customers at your door.
7. Be prepared! The first 3 months, you are going to be hectic! Allow a space. Don't worry, Dealfinders have at least a year to redeem their coupon.
8. SMILE, BE NICE and PROFESSIONAL. If you are nice and professional, you will find less annoying customers, trust me.

As for me, I will not be using Dealfind ever again. I rather make my own "dealfind".

What companies fail to understand, as well as the people in this thread, is that using these sites isn't about making money. It's advertising with guaranteed results.

The choices for most businesses are as follows:
a) do nothing and hope people come into their business.
b) pay a third party advertiser to "maybe" generate new business while spending possibly thousands.
c) use a company such as dealfind, living social or groupon to generate customers at a discounted rate that they can retain IF they preform a quality service or offer a great product.

It's advertising. Plain and simple.

Most companies run at a loss for advertising, either that or they have a specific budget for it. It's cheaper by far to invest that money back into the company to cover expenses and use their products and services to highlight what they do best.

You will have people looking for a deal, that's the nature of society. That should be self evident to merchants before they do something like this and if it's not I can only pity their lack of intelligence.

If 1000 people buy a voucher and the company retains 10% of those people they are guaranteed to return their investment and turn a profit. The companies that cut corners or cheap out on what they offer are the companies that would have failed either way.

I really find the lack of proper knowledge on this subject to be frightening.

One last point, the laser hair removal deals that are offered are great for merchants, if they know what they're doing and are struggling to bring in new clients. The costs of this industry are almost 100% fixed.

If you need clients, use a group advertising site. Even if people don't tip or if they complain you're still going to have your business advertised at no upfront cost and you're guaranteed that people will come into your business.

You are 100% correct.

Their correct thing now is selling laser hair removal coupons which they milk like there is not tomorrow.
2 things bother me with that, first of all they always put a picture of a Soprano XL machine while when people ask what machine is used, it is rarely a Soprano, very misleading.
The other thing, coupon companies will press those businesses to go their way which correctly is offering treatments for a year on a 30 minute area every time, for around $150 which is crazy because it looks amazing for the consumer but is it really?
30 min treatment for a year means 6 hours of work and from that $150 you are left with $71. If you take into account business expenses it will probably be in the region of 30-40 bucks an hour, so let’s say $40 an hour it cost the business, times 6 hours is $240. We got in $71 and took out $240 so we are left with -$169 per coupon. Since it's pretty normal to sell about 500 of those coupons we are looking at a loss of about $85, 000. You also need to take into account the fact that until you service those people you won't have much space to take in real paying customers so that's every bigger loss.

Let's say out of those 500 coupons we got in 250 new customers (you can buy multiple coupons) and let’s assume a generous number of 20% of them coming back after the deal (probably more like 10%) then we have 50 new paying customers, so to get back our $85, 000 loss every one of those 50 customers will have to pay $1700 more just to get even on the direct loss. If we take into account that now we can't service other customers then the number can go up ALOT which depends on what the business normally make. So if it's a new business with 0 customers then the damage is only the $85000, if the business is in 50% or more capacity, then the extra loss can be anywhere from 20k a month to even 100k a month.

To make those coupons work the deal needs to be on the business terms and not the coupon company terms (and they push hard by saying they know their business and have experience) For instance, if you give them a complete product or service for a reduced price, you will lose your pants off. If you give a partial product for a reduced price and get people to test it like a trial, then you won't lose as much time on deal finders and those that really want to stay will actually stick.
You also need to take into account that if there is a lot of competition and you offer one coupon that is good for you, tomorrow your competition will run the same deal and consumers will have an incentive not to stay as a client but rather wait a week and wait for the competition to offer the same deal.

If you are a consumer, think about it. You paid for something hoping to get the full service. Knowing that in order to service you the business you bought the coupon for is going to lose his shirt off, what do you think the business will do?
If I look back at my laser hair removal example there are a few options to the business:
1. They can take the loss on themselves.
2. They can try and get the money and run with it.
3. They can cut corners on the treatment to save money but in return the consumer is not going to get any results.
The right thing to do would be to take the loss on themselves, but you need to remember that most of those are small businesses who make under $300, 000 in revenue per year, taking a loss of $85, 000-$300, 000 is not an option and they will go bankrupt. Their most logical solution would be to cut corners, which then why would the consumer spend money on those deals to begin with?

Dealfind.com Mis-advertising

Unfortunately, this business is undertaking some unethical and dishonest business practices to promote their deal coupons. This is causing a lot of people to ask a lot of questions about the coupons that they are selling, for purposes of clarification, but the answers are not clear either. I have had a total of two counts of bad experiences with them.

Please see below the response on what happened when I responded to one of the new deals that they just advertised, with my past experience. They were mis-informing the customers of the availability of this clinic yet again, and all I said in my one-liner comment was that this information is not accurate, and that in my experience, the clinic is in fact not open during the times they are claiming to be open.

In the past, I have bought a coupon for the same clinic(http://www.dealfind.com/discuss.php?DiscussionID=5121), Healthmedica, and they advertised exactly the same hours, while the clinic actually does not open on Fridays ad Saturdays, not even by appointment. Healthmedica is working with me to see if they can do something for me, but its been two weeks, and I have not heard a positive response, despite calling them, and emailing them multiple times.

In the past, I had bought another deal from them about a laser clinic, and please refer to this link (http://www.dealfind.com/discuss.php?DiscussionID=4660) to see how they never answer the questions of the customers directly, and try to skirt around the issue, causing widespread confusion. In the end, they ended up selling about 500 vouchers, worth $200 each, with wrong information. The clinic actually did NOT honor "unlimited" services for this coupon. The coupon was in fact for only 12 services, covering only "upto" 3 body parts for hair removal, which costs much less than the $8500 worth it advertises. The confusing language made it sound like it allowed you to book daily appointments with this clinic as long as it covered a different part of the body, and the same part cannot be repeated for a month for reasons of procedure effectiveness.
Even though I was offered a full refund when I complained, the point is that they are trying to fool gullible customers into buying their dealst by unethical advertising which misrepresents the information by using vague terms. This is directly against their advertised pledge:

Dealfind.com Avoid dealing with this ppl

I am a merchant and ran a deal for my cleaning business, I have lost out huge and might have to close my doors, I was pressured by dealfind sales staff to run a deal not remotely close to the area where we service, they promised repeat clients and all the clients received where just looking for a deal and some even tried to abuse my services, they also said there is a retention on coupons where I have yet to see this, before I ran my deal I asked the sales person if scheduling these deals on two days out of the week would work, there was no problems with this at the time, after the deal I mentioned to dealfind that I can only schedule these clients on these two days and when I have the space available as its on a first come first serve basis. Dealfind told me that they would sue me for discrimination against their customers, I was shocked, I felt like I had been scammed by the sales staff at dealfind. I have had to turn away regular customers for dealfind vouchers and feel as if now I don't run my own business but work for dealfind, I have created a huge financial loss for myself from running dealfind, hopefully some merchants can pull together and sue dealfind for misrepresentation for sales and information giving by the sales associates at dealfind, If anyone (merchant) is willing to take legal action against dealfind I will totally be in, I just can't do it alone.

Watch out... They are clearly out to get your money, and don't care if you are satisfied. A product I purchased did not work as promised so I contacted the company. They company, to their credit, offered a refund but that it had to be processed through Dealfind. Dealfind clearly got upset at the company (didn't tell me but it was kind of obvious). I haven't heard from either in over a month...

I purchased an earing and necklace set for $29 they advertised it as being reg $293 what a joke its from dollarama. I emaied Dealfind told them it was scratched, peeling and glue everywhere they said call SHIRIN D CENTER THE COMPANY THAT SOLD IT TO ME. I call and the guy on the phone tells me off and say's no refunds call Dealfind they took your money? What a joke talk about being scammed. $29 is not a lot of money but it's the pricipal I can go to Dollarama and sell these set's with a $28 markup and get rich real fast. Not fair I'm discusted with the fact that their are companys out there like this that do this to innocent hard working people like me. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM DEALFIND YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF TRUST ME...

I purchased an item for my beach vacation - a wrap to go over your bathing suit, 8 weeks before my trip. 8 WEEKS. The deal says I would receive it in 3-5 weeks. My vacation has come and gone, and no wrap.
The only way to complain or contact them is through email - but NO ONE RESPONDS. I emailed them 3 times. Nothing. A quick search for a phone number gives you an automated line, which then tells you to send and email.

Dealing with them has been a total nightmare for me, we bought 2 vouchers of $85 for a 7 Inch Google Android 2.3 Tablet I from Fabuless and it has now been over 3 months since and I never got the product, they finally sent me an email telling me that they will not send the tablets and to request a refund and I did, I followed every step and have not got any reply back. Today I called to ask and as soon as I mentioned what happened they hang up the phone. They sells those "good deals" just to get all the money from the 1500+ customers knowing that they would not deliver the product, who knows what they do with the money from all this people all this months! BEWARE, and stay away!

this company failed to pay my company over 6000 dollars in voucher sales from the month of may 2017. they just refused to issue the check, and they also didnt refund the customers money. so now my company is stuck with 200 customers to service and we are not receiving our 6000 dollars original voucher sales money. this company dealfind.com not only rips off its customers but also the merchants that it deals with. DO NOT USE THERE SERVICE.

Always read the reviews and questions and do your homework on items that are for sale. Don't always trust the fine print in the ad, I've learned this the hard way along with many other Dealfind customers. If an item is too good to be true...remember, it likely is a scam. Don't be greedy, be smart! I would much rather see a great deal posted in my local newspaper or an ad on the radio or tv and buy it directly from the company then go through Dealfind, they have lost my respect as a buyer.

My boyfriend bought a deal back before Christmas. It was for two movie tickets through fandango, a $50 walmart.com gift card, and a $20 gift card to restaurants.com. All for a mere $50. He paid. there were immediate problems. he tried and tried to get the codes for the different deals. he had trouble with the walmart one right away. he contacted dealfind and they said that they new there was a problem and they were working on it. he got the fandango one. and the restaurants.com one. so, he got busy and kind of forgot about it.

we went to use the movie tickets this last weekend and the code wouldn't work. fandango said that the code had been "cancelled". So, my b/f called dealfind and asked about it. their reply was: "Oh yeah, that deal is no good. they couldn't fufill the deal. send us an email about it and we'll refund you."

Well, my question is, if they knew that the deal was no good, then they should have refunded everyone IMMEDIATELY! And when did they know that it wasn't good? Before we called about the walmart issue?

They are blaming it on a 3rd party - digital doorstep - which is apparently now out of business.

My b/f emailed them on Saturday and they got back to him today (Thursday) that they would either refund him (if he provided his credit card info) or give him $50+10% dealfind money.

WHY WOULD WE WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE ON USING THEM AGAIN?

and i searched the internet and there are DOZENS AND DOZENS of complaints about their actions!

SOMEONE START A LAWSUIT! WE'D DEFINITELY JOIN!

THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!

STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE!

I bought 4 vouchers for Healthsmart chiro-therapy thru them 2 months ago on November 18, 2017. I was charged for 8. They refunded 4 I didn't want after a month but...the 4 "deals" I bought was for a non existent company apparently. Healthsmart chiro-therapy never answers their phone, doesn't return messages, etc, . I can't confirm they even exist. I have contacted Deal Find several times. I am still waiting for them to get back to me concerning this business and a refund. So far have not heard back nor received a refund. I will never "deal" with dealfind again. Big rip-off!..

I purchased 4 vouchers for mani/pedis for Christmas presents. When we tried to book our appointments, we found the place did not exist. I then noticed Dealfind had more vouchers for sale for another salon - however this one did not exist either, and the webstie had mention of the address for the previous vouchers. I continued to complain and while I did receive a refund, they continued to sell vouchers for a bogus business to others. I now noticed they have another deal online for another business which I believe is bogus again. Always make sure you check out the businesses before you purchase the coupons.

Do not buy anything on Dealfind.com! Even if the merchant is unprofessional and cancels the bookings you have made with them - Dealfind will not refund your money or even give you a Dealfind credit. I bought a spa voucher back in February and made a booking with the merchant right away. It was for my wedding. The week before comes and one of my bridesmaids tries to book in only for the spa to tell her they were closed that day. I tried calling and calling and the spa never answers their phone. I emailed and received a response that our appointments had to be changed (which didn't work for us) and they wanted to know what we had booked. Obviously a poorly run business.
Contacted Dealfind about a refund as I no longer needed these vouchers and did not want to deal with an unprofessional spa and they refused to refund or give credit. Even after I explained the story to them.

Bottom line - they don't have their customer's backs when it comes to shady merchants. They have your money and that's all they care about.

Dealfind.com Scam False Advertising Illegal

My girlfriend and I bought car detailing deals from Dealfind in April and was planning to use them in the summer of this year (now). First of all I was weary of the deal because I have never heard of the company but dealfind did a good job of creating a fake advertisement, etc for it so I agreed. Fast forward to now - we called to schedule our detailing and the first number (Somehow there were 2 numbers -hmm?) we called some guy picked up and was angry and said he wasnt Ultimate Detail so we hung up and called the second number provided by Dealfind and it was a personal number for some guys cell phone and he said he was not Ultimate Detail. So there you have it - no screening no "contract" with real companies, no verification and the customer service guy on the phone had the nerve to say the 30 day return policy was expired and we would have to E-MAIL dealfind to get this resolved. I ordered and paid for product promoted by Dealfind in Sept. 2017. I have contacted them twice in the last 2 weeks to inform them that the product they promised in Nov. 2017 would arrive 'soon' is still not here and asking for a refund. I have received no reply. I will not be purchasing anything further through Dealfind and advise others to not do so either.

Dealfind sold me a voucher to Dream Laser in Surrey, BC. The voucher said "no expiry". When I went to make an appointment, which was almost one year later, the phone was never answered, and messages that I left were never returned. I contacted Dealfind to request a refund. They refused stating they had a 1 year refund policy. Well, first of all, I had started trying to make an appointment within the 1 year period, and secondly, my voucher says, "no expiry", and thirdly, at no point was I told about a 1-year refund policy. I have not had problems with other coupon sellers, so I'm surprised that Dealfind is so adamant in taking my money and providing absolutely nothing in return - not even willing to provide a credit for something else. I would concur with the other person who said to stay away from DealFind.

Purchase a voucher to have 3 hours home repair related labor job done, with no expiration date, the rule for refund is, if the vendor do not honor the voucher, Dealfind will refund money.
It had been wasting of time, money and effort to contact""Dexter"Construction", he wants you to call him and then text him and then wait for another week but still no response to email, phone and texts.
2 weeks past by, no show no responses.
Request to Dealfind ( Scam Artist) said they will give me 1 day limited time to use a $5.00 discount code to buy something from 1 of other website call "Team buy"" with min.$15.00 purchase.
What a joke! Buy more from a company that scam me and not in US?

I have bought 3 daily deals from this company. The first was a deal for 3 massages. I called the number to schedule a massage and it was disconnected. I finally got through to Dealfind and after a few more calls I got my refund after 2 weeks. The second deal was for snowplowing. They showed up once then never again. After several more calls to Dealfind I got a refund for that too. The last was for 3 maid service cleanings. I got one. I had the second scheduled for last Saturday but they didn't show up. When I finally heard from them they told me Dealfind cancelled my vouchers since I called them to complain that this cleaning company didn't show up to plow my driveway. That was a completely different deal and the idiots at Dealfind cancelled my cleaning vouchers but didn't refund my money. Trying to get through to them now but their phone customer service doesn't seem to exist or maybe they have just one rep. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I purchased two vouchers through Dealfind 2 years ago. They were for spa services, and the services had no expiry date. After over a year of having a difficult time booking, I contacted Dealfind regarding a refund, and they encouraged me to keep trying, as there was no expiry date, but also offered that they could give me credit if I chose to do so. I decided to give the company another chance, and to try booking while I was on my maternity leave, and thus more flexible. I have now called the salon to book, and they have informed me that they are no longer honoring the vouchers, and that I should contact Dealfind for a refund. I did contact Dealfind, and they have refused to refund my money, and refused my request to escalate the discussion. I am incredibly upset, and if this does not get resolved, I will no longer be dealing with Dealfind.

I purchased a deal Nov 3, 2017 for landscaping services. I called and made appointment that November for them to do the services but they never showed up. I contacted Dealfind who basically wasted my time with calls and promises that never materialized. Between Dealfind and Property Maintenance Pro there were many promises to show up but no one ever did. Dealfind said they'd refund but is now reneging on that because 30 days passed but they knew of my issues well in advance of 30 days and Dealfind was reason this has taken so long.
I just want my refund. I have no faith in either Dealfind or Property Maintenance Pro in any way.
After this experience, I found another deal I previously bought through Dealfind is also a scam where that vendor doesn't even call me back to make an appointment and Dealfind again doesn't want to refund. I think Dealfind are crooks.
I don't know how this is legal - sell any service, take the money and then keep the money even though no service or product ever performed.
Dealfind is playing delay delay delay with me by email.
Please help me get my money back from these crooks.

I bought a voucher for yoga classes months ago. Since then I have been permanently injured in an accident & the business won't allow me to take a class for safety reasons. They have told me to seek a refund from Dealfind as they are sure I won't have a problem especially given the sensitive nature of these circumstances. I have explained the exceptional and very emotional situation to Dealfind & asked for a refund for the $20 voucher that the business won't honour. Zuzanna declined my request, telling me to sell it or give it as a gift. Not only is that a callously insensitive response to this issue, it's a ridiculously unprofessional lack of customer service to deny the refund. I have met the requirements stated by Zuzanna: "there is an unresolvable problem with the merchant that prevents you from redeeming your voucher". Since then Zuzanna has declined 6 requests for a manager! I have kept the email conversation as evidence for my next step, The Better Business Bureau. Today I have requested the issue be escalated to Angelina Thomas-Graham, Customer Service Manager. I'm sure she will rectify the situation promptly and prove that Zuzanna's behavior is not representative of Dealfind's level of customer service.

I have placed two orders on the same date(24th August 2017). The order numbers were #[protected], [protected]. When the orders were placed, it was mentioned the order will be arriving within 6 weeks. 6 weeks was long over, after that I had sent emails to customer service for both of them. For the first one they said it was shipped and provided a tracking number, but to my frustration that tracking number was not able to able to retrieve anything. For the second order they said they will inquire with the merchant and get back within 48 hours. Forget about 48 hours, even after 5 business days I have not received a single reply. After that I have sent repeated emails to DealFind, none of them was replied. I bought those items as gifts. I am at a total loss.

Dealfind.com Not a very good experience beware!

I was on the internet looking to do a review on dealfind from a buisness aspect of it. The economy has affect our buiness this winter. Things have been slow so I found myself turning to dealfind hoping this would help. Man was I wrong.

It started with a contract with dealfind where we would offer 6 laser hair removal treatments for $99.00. Two weeks later they contacted me again and said if I dropped down to $89.00 they would put my ad in sooner and promised me the dates. Desperate to see some cash flow I agreed. Two days before the ad was going to be posted on there website I recieve another phone call from dealfind asking me to drop down to $79.00 dollars or they are putting another laser company on instead of us.

Well needless to say I pretty upset and cancelled my contract with them. Please beware of dealfinds unprofessional sales staff that promise things they do not keep. I should of went with my original instincts and stayed away. They are not looking out for small buisness and making it really tuff on us to make any profit. I wanted to make sure that companies know what they are getting into. Beware of deals that seem to good to be true. Remember you get what you pay for. If you pay $5 for a service you will get a $5 service.

I purchased two vouchers from Dealfind back in 2011 by credit card through their website. On the vouchers, it clearly mentioned the vouchers never expires.

One coupon is for the MVP Lounge (683 Bank Street, Ottawa, ON K1S 3T8 TEL: [protected]). I paid $ 19 worth for $ 45 food. I tried to call them last June 2012 to make the reservation. I found out that they're not in business anymore.

The other voucher is for Paul B at Artistic Hair Design (278 Bank Street, Ottawa, ON K2P 1X6 TEL: [protected]). I paid $39 worth for $175. I tried to contact the business to make the appointment as it said on the voucher. I called and left a message for a few times to make the appointment. No more return my calls at all.

I emailed to Dealfind on October 20, 2013 to ask for these two vouchers refund. Dealfind replied and said that they are unable to issue a refund or credit for my vouchers. They can only offer me a $5 future use credit.

I lost totally $58 for these two vouchers. I feel like these are scams. Dealfind denfinately is not an honor business.

The worst part is, consumers blame the company. We did 611 oil changes on the "200" they were suppose to sell, and never saw a dime from Deal Find. The wording on the coupons was nothing close to what we had agreed to. We emailed them, because they do not return phone calls, and told them it just can not go on. Pay us for what we actually did so far, and we will continue. Or, we stop taking the coupons, period. Their response, WE are blacklisted from Deal Find, and still, no money. A year later we have people still trying to book those appointments and they get nasty when we refuse to. Then, theres the emails from deal find saying they refunded coupons that we have already serviced. Deal Find people are rude, they mislead you and then either pay a small portion or nothing ever. The other thing we noticed, those new customers, you never see them again. Cheap people that only want a freebie..

I purchased a coupon from "Kijji Daily Deals" from "Big Picture Renovations Ltd." The coupon was $99 for 8 hours for handyman services. I called in late spring to book the handyman, the coupon was only good for one year from the date I purchased. The handyman told me the earliest date he had was in October, he promised he would honor my coupon because it was now illegal to have an expiry date, he also asked me to call him a week before to confirm our appointment. I left two voice mail messages and also sent an email with response at all. When the date of the came, he never showed up. I have been in contact with "Kijji Daily Deals" to try to get a refund, but their reply always is "it's under review with their support team. At this point I don't think I'll ever get my money back nor do I ever plan to buy any more deals from "Kijji"

The whole DEALSITE industry is NOT GOOD for anyone except the deal company.
If the company you bought from went out of business blame YOURSELF as well as the deal company and retailer/service provider ( Who was on the brink of closing anyway)
A COMPANY CAN NOT STAY OPEN IF THEY DON'T MAKE A PROFIT AND YOU THE CONSUMER NEED TO GIVE YOUR HEAD A SHAKE AND PAY A FAIR PRICE FOR A VALUED SERVICE OR PRODUCT. In all cases the deal company is the only one making money and still they take 50% of the purchase price and don't pay the retailer/service provider for up to 90 days.

CAUTION: DEALFIND – SCAM COMPANY
I, being a Dealfind customer, have bought over $$$ thousands of dollars of vouchers with Dealfind in a short 2-3 months period. But I must warn buyers and future buyers to beware of this scam company. They don’t do any screening at all with the products and services they bring to buyers. All they care is about making money, and their customer service attitude is extremely cold. When calling their customer service, their reps doesn’t solve problems, and when I call back to follow up, it’s always voicemail, and after leaving messages I never hear back. Even if I use email correspondence, the customer service department doesn’t attempt to solve problems, but instead suggest many unreasonable steps you must follow in order to get a refund. When requesting for refunds, or giving feedback, it’ll be ignored and later no reasonable reply is given. Not only does this company scam people, they don’t even uphold the most basic business principles. For example, for a product I ordered (ref: http://www.dealfind.com/toronto/lejdintechcom3) it’s obvious what the merchant delivered is not what is described on the deal page, merchant website or video description, the product received is absolutely defective. When I called Dealfind’s customer service, the rep said that I, being the customer, must pay to ship back the defective item to the merchant, THEN they will process my refund. Whoever has heard of this? The merchant has already provided an item not to the description: A mini DV described as having a steel case, and a 2 GB internal memory. But what was received was: plastic case, no model or serial no, no signs whatsoever this has passed certification test, no 2GB internal memory, and after charging it doesn’t even power on. After I called Dealfind, the rep said I must pay to ship the defective item back to the merchant. This is not a case where the buyer changed their mind about the product, thus must pay the shipping fees. This is absolute ludicrous. Dealfind being the platform and deal provider should be the one to handle this type of cases, provide full refund to the customer, then deal with the merchant. Otherwise why does Dealfind do so much advertising and make so much money? In all it’s to service the buyers and maintain a good relationship and quality service to solve problems, screen out bad merchants, and handle issues. Just as if we go to Costco to buy things, Costco will protect their customers’ rights and deal with merchants. If Dealfind cannot provide this kind of service, what reason do you have to keep running the business?

Further, Dealfind blows up the value, say the value is $300 or $500, it’s all made up. The merchant’s website labels the item as that value, but when I searched the web, I can find the same item for a much lower price. I suspect these so called ‘merchants’ may not even exist, and is only a fabrication on the part of Dealfind, or they do exist but coupling with Dealfind together to scam buyers of their money. I could find much lower prices on the web for the same items, but on Dealfind the deal page labels it as 50% or 70% off, but the value is totally blown out of proportion. On Dealfind I bought several items, including mini speakers (ref: http://www.dealfind.com/toronto/origaudio2), an android tablet(ref: http://www.dealfind.com/toronto/fabulessproductscanada/), and other electronics. Every time when I call the merchant, no one answers, and it always goes straight to voicemail. And I don’t hear back after leaving a message. Then after a few days, the voicemail is full. There’s no way to even leave a voicemail anymore.
Some other merchants are even more devious, for example I bought 3 items (Volcano speakers, ref: http://www.dealfind.com/toronto/origaudio2), but only 1 item at a time can be redeemed, and each time a high shipping fee is charged. The shipping fee for a mini speaker from Mississauga to Scarborough is probably just $3-$5, but the merchant charges $15 shipping fee. If combined in one package, $10 is probably enough, but the merchant charges 3 times $15 = $45 total shipping fee. After this ridiculous high shipping fee, the supposed “deal” costs even MORE than regular priced same item elsewhere! Even more, there is no follow up or service from the merchants. There are basically traps set for buyers when they start to redeem their vouchers, including high shipping fees.
Another thing is, a merchant may have sold 1000 or 2000 items, they don’t have enough inventory. But they don’t even communicate this to the buyers, and just let them wait, no notifications at all. Only when we go follow up, we find out that after 1.5 months, the product has not even been shipped! But Dealfind’s refund policy is within 30 days, but for deals even after 1.5 months the product has not been shipped, so there’s no way we will receive the product within 30 days. We won’t get tracking or shipping info within 30 days, so where’s the guarantee? Dealfind will use this reason to refuse a refund. So Dealfind is a big scam company. We shouldn’t support this kind of company to massively advertise and make money. All they care about is their own benefit, the customer service department and people who work there just care about earning commissions. They don’t even do research about the merchant’s background, business history, the product’s value, market price, and similar items’ market price. Or perhaps they do know, but pretend they don’t, and feature worthless deals anyway, working with the merchant together to scam customers. They massively send emails and do advertising to customers, and scam the good people of their money. So consumers beware; my experience with this company and their customer service is terrible. It doesn’t look at all like a big and reputable, responsible and honest company doing business in North America. So when you buy something, treat it like buying a piece of garbage, and prepared to be at loss, if you can’t afford the loss then be careful. Your money is hard earned, especially in this kind of economy, job rates are low, and each penny earned must be spent at its most value. Everyone wants to find a good deal, but instead fall in the traps of this Dealfind company, and in the end get garbage in return. Not to mention terrible customer service and follow up service ensuring the product’s quality. These are some of my experiences, and let this serve as a caution to everyone.

I have been a sales rep for this type of advertising for over a year now and I can tell you that I hear nothing but nightmare stories about Dealfind specifically. Please, Please, Please if you own a business do not sign with them. And if you are a buyer don't be fooled into way-too-good-to-be-true deals. You are probably giving away 50% of your money on bad deals. Once the vendor gets enough complaints against them, Dealfind keeps the rest of the money assuming that the business is either not servicing vouchers or is going out of business. Groupon and livingsocial are pretty good if you can handle the volume. For a decent response and mid-level volume WagJag, Teambuy, SwarmJam and RedFlagDeals are the safest. These are backed by bigger public companies that can't afford to be scamming people.

THIS IS A FRAUD COMPANY - How on earth are they operating making mockery of peoples trust . I purchased a Coupon for $49 for housekeeping . When I contacted -The House keeping company gave me a date 2 months ahead ( (Not Joking Dec 18th, 2011) & said that since we have bought the coupon through Dealfind - Thats the ONLY date that they have for me . I have been burned twice with dealfind. Once in Pickering with exercize classes all of a sudden the place closed down. Second one was in Whitby it was a massage voucher. I will not use dealfind again!

Dealfind is the worst company out there! I will never use them again as a business owner. I have had issues with my check coming and being cut on time, and issues with them refunding people 4-5 months later after a service was rendered. They called me and wanted to put my second business up and thinking maybe because it is a different rep, "richard" was both of my reps names but 2 totally different guys, that I will have a better experience, FALSE, they suck! They call me less than 24hrs before the deal was to feature to inform me that my deal was going to feature, I told them that I was not prepared for I was not even open yet and was still training staff and did not have time for the millions of phone calls that are expected once a deal is ran. They told me to bad its nothing we can do, I beg them and they said no the deal will be ran. This phone call was at 10am, then I speak with them again begging them to push the date back by one week and they told me if I would have asked earlier...?.! WHAT! I begged earlier and I told them I will send away all dealfind customers to receive a refund...that's what they like to do anyway! But they started yelling at me tell me its nothing you can do its going up, get over it, if you send them away we will sue you blah blah and then the manager of richard had the nerve to tell me I shouldn't be using other deal sites... Hahah this is after I told him they are the worst company out of all the deal sites I have worked with and I have worked with quite a few...I hung up in his face! He is rude! But they never send a preview and previously before they have made mistakes on my ad feature...I had to beg them for a preview screen shot...and if anything was wrong you can forget them correcting or making any changes. They are the worst company ever! Then it takes 3 months to get full payment...then there customer are chronic complainers, they get a service damn near for free then you tip like s**t and you want more! Get out of here! These people suck!

Dealfind.com Beware of deals that seem to good to be true

I was on the internet looking to do a review on dealfind from a buisness aspect. The economy has effect our buiness this winter. Things have been slow so I found myself turning to dealfind hoping this would help. It started with a contract with dealfind where we would offer 6 laser hair removal treatments for $99.00. Two weeks later they contacted me again and said if I dropped down to $89.00 they would put my ad in sooner and promised me the dates. Desperate to see some cash flow I agreed. Two days before the ad was going to be posted on there website I recieved another phone call from dealfind asking me to drop down to $79.00 dollars or they would put another laser company on instead of us. Well needless to say I cancelled my contract with them. Please beware of dealfinds unprofessional sales staff that promise things they do not keep. I should of went with my original instincts and stayed away. They are not looking out for small buisness and making it really tough on us to make any profit. Considering they take 50% plus 2.5% merchant charges and we would do all the work. I wanted to make sure that companies know what they are getting into.

Beware of deals that seem to good to be true. Remember you get what you pay for. If companys are giving there service away, you will not get quality service with these coupons. Merchants and consumers need to be aware.

Dealfind.com unauthorized visa charge

On October 7th, I bought a gift certificate from this site which offered me $25 for $60 off at a local restaurant. As I was going for dinner later that evening I thought it was fitting to purchase. Approx. 2 hrs after my purchase I received an email notifying me that this deal could no longer be offered due to a "mis-communication with the merchant". They told me that there is nothing I needed to do and that my credit card would not be billed. However, a month later on November 5th, my credit card was billed for $87 from "Dealfind.com [protected]" . I never purchased anything from this site, this is a fraudulent charge! I have filed a complaint with visa. Buyers BEWARE of Dealfind.com!

Dealfind is the worse "deal" company I ever dealt with. The deals they are advertising are not good and when you complain you can never get your money back. They had an ad for cranberry resort which we bought but when we called to make a reservation they asked us all personal questions as who we are? Are we married? Are we planning to get married?
and how much money we are making ... finally as we weren't making enough money they didn't let us make a reservation.

And Deal find didn't give our money back ... I am not going to buy anything from Dealfind and would never go to cranberry resort.

Purchased two vouchers from Dealfind, each good for 3 hours of handyman services from Cleaning Innovations. This company does not answer phones or emails and the website states that they do not offer handyman services "at this time". I asked Dealfind for a refund but since it was over 30 days they refused, choosing to ignore the fact, even after repeated emails, that this company is violating the terms of the voucher. Ultimately they gave me the refund in "Dealfind bucks" which I did not want since I do not want to do business with them either at this point. I find this beyond shady and in the long run these questionable business practices will hopefully lead to their demise.

I was very excited and bought Dealfind vouchers for few of my favorite things. Some were good some weren't. I was first ticked off when a friend told me she got a full refund and I didn't! I got attentive. After the initial few months Dealfind has been falling apart. Some of the vendors shut down...some wouldn't accept reservation even though their system showed vacancy. The worst part is that after a short stay in Toronto we moved to California and I had vouchers from last year that I haven't been able to use. I asked them for their Dealfind dollars instead because I cant use Toronto vouchers any more.

I must mention we did not expect this move at all. We were actually looking out to buying a home in Toronto and settling down till this unexpected move happened. They replied saying that they make excellent gifts...

So I have Canadian Dealfind dollars that I cant use in US and 118 bucks worth of Canadian vouchers...Seriously it's a loss of almost 200 bucks! I am so disappointed! Where do they think they score with customer service?

I had teambuy vouchers and they refunded my vouchers once I explained my situation to them.

Absolutely shameful Dealfind!

"If you're unhappy with anything you bought from Dealfind, tell us and we'll do our best to make things right" - that's on the front page of the site. I bought an item that is defective and asked for their help with exchanging it or getting a refund. Their response: if the item was opened, we don't give refunds, deal with the merchant yourself... If that's their idea of making things right, they shouldn't be in business! If Amazon or Groupon did that, they'd be history a long time ago!..

I find that dealfind.com has better products and things I am more interested in than groupon, wagjag, etc. However, they have the WORST customer service out of the 3. The website gave me a free coupon when I signed up but didn't explain the amount. When I typed the coupon code into the website nothing happened. So I pressed enter. It turns out, without my knowledge, dealfind.com had saved my credit card information and it put through an order for a $70 air duct cleaning service I had never wanted in the first place.

I panicked, called the customer service line and never got through over a 4 day period. I filed a complain online with them and heard back the following week. The man on the phone explained that they would cancel this order and refund my card after speaking with the vendor over the next 2 days.

I hadn't heard anything from them, despite my many emails, until March 13th, where they asked if i wanted a refund on my $70 or if I would prefer to have "dealfind.com credits". I requested a refund, which they said they would process immediately. It is now the 22nd and I haven't had any amount refunded onto my credit card. I am so pissed that this has taken almost a month to figure out.

I would still recommend people buy their products, but only if they are absolutely sure they want the deal.

Per the details below, I purchased this deal on September 12, 2012. As of this date, I have not received the product nor the promised refund from Dealfind. I cannot understand how this company is allowed to continue to do business in the USA. Every deal they offer has something wrong with it. I will never do business with them again and will file a complaint with the FTC to try to get them investigated and closed down.

I bought a voucher for 2 nights at a resort in Collingwood the georgian manor resort, turns out they have no more availability this summer after selling over 1000 vouchers, when I contacted deal find for a refund they said they could no longer refund me since I had purchased it over 2 weeks ago, I am so angry, this is a clear SCAM, not sure for what part the resort or the deal site. I have also seen the same resort advertised many other sites, why are they still selling if they have no availability, so that means i have just lost $89 dollars, did not get my resort stay and now what? How can they sell something like this, this resort have so many mad, really bad reviews I am just sorry i didn't read them before falling for this.

Horrible! They double charged my credit card. Sent email within the 1 month time frame...sent 2 more over 3 weeks. Finally got a response, that it was over the 30 days! Well if someone had responded to my original email instead of delaying response this long, then it would not have went over the time frame. After doing some research online, looks like this is a strategy of Dealfind. This was not even buyers remorse, but a double billing on my credit card! I also tried calling several times, but Dealfind does not have live people on the phone. Every extension sends you to the website. Customers are just not important enough to have the privilege to speak to a dealfind employee. Deal find has zero support and does not care about their customers at all. The statement you make on your website "If you're unhappy with anything you bought..." should be removed, as it is a bold lie. Shame on Dealfind! You have lost a customer and I will never recommend the site, and will post my feelings on every blog possible.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE. I've ordered two things from this site directly (Bottle aerators, crystal pendant). The aerators took well over a month to get to me. If I hadn't e-mailed them, who knows WHEN I would've received them. Guess what I'm waiting on now...the crystal pendant. Want to know when I bought this deal? 3 weeks ago. I just e-mailed them a few minutes ago and am now waiting on a reply. Please, let me save you from a load of anger... don't use this site. Ever.

I purchased a dealfind voucher for this restaurant on line for $29.00 ($62.00 value). I called to make my reservation for
Friday Oct 12/12 and they say that they are not accepting this voucher's as they are having problems with Dealfind. I would like to know how to get my money refunded. This voucher was good until February 13, 2013.
