Re-payments
I have been paying to Deem Finance LLC (acting on behalf of Dunia Finance) since 3rd May 2020 - 1st August 2022 against the credit card re-payments. I had lost my job and therefore I couldn't keep up with my re-payments.
Before I lost my job, I had done some re-payments and since 3rd May 2020 - 1st Aug 2022 I have paid AED 14000.55
I have been asking them to update me why I have been still paying to but they do not wan to reply.
Their conversation is very confusing and infact their initial dealing was extremely rude and threatful. Recently, they contacted me to get an update about this month payment however, on other hand they acknowledged the fact that they received total AED 14000.55 (it's including this month payment).
But they still didn't reply to my query, I asked them about an update and why am I still paying but they failed to reply.
Desired outcome: I would like to have an update.
Since I had launched my complaint, I have not received any info from company but you guys have marked my complaint as resolved? May I ask how it has been resolved?
Credit card Inactive
My credit card has been made inactive by Deem finance for over 3 months now and even after I have paid off my outstanding amount, they have not activated it yet.
Each time I call the customer care, they give me different information, First time they told me it will be activated within 20 mins, and that was 2 months ago.
Even after constantly following up with them on email with multiple staff, no one ever replied till date. But during the time of collection they keep calling and harassing over the phone with threats.
Today they told me its going to take another 3 working days to activate it even though I was been asking them a solution since way longer. The day before another customer care rep told me my case is on high priority and once my statement generates today, it will be activated again.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate the credit card to be made active immediately without further delay but I am sure the team will take their own sweet time to do it then show up here and say the issue is reolved.
bad service & false promises

please note, i registered a complaint more than 3 month to cancel my Deem Credit card, after that i received call from your finance that the problem will be solved, as i promised from your Agent Akhtar Raze Mob# [protected], 400 AED will added to my account as a welcome bonus, i asked if the call recorded he said yes, but till date nothing received or even answer the phone .

Payment not received (complaint filed on 14-07-2022)
I started using Deem card from mid-May 2022. I received the first statement on 17th June 2022. An amount of 2080.69 AED was due on 06-07-2022 (6th July 2022).
I made the payment through Deem online portal on 02-07-2022 from my HSBC account. On the evening of 5th July, I received back an amount of 2080.69 AED on my HSBC account which said "Rejected Transaction".
I made the payment again on the next day [protected]) morning to the Mashreq bank details provided on the Deem website. As mentioned on their website, I shared the statement of this transaction with [protected]@deem.io. I also explained to them that the payment was initially made on 02-07-2022, but got returned to my account on 05-07-2022. I enquired them about the reason for the cancelled transaction and shared a screenshot of the cancelled transaction as well.
On checking my account on 07-07-2022, it showed an amount of 230 AED was charged to me as a late payment fee along with 5% VAT on it. I tried contacting Deem Customer Care on [protected] but with no success as it kept saying all their executives are busy serving other customers! I immediately sent a mail to them asking the reason for the late payment charges as I paid the amount well before the due date on 02-07-2022, then again on 06-07-2022 as the first transaction got cancelled for no fault of mine! I received no response for both the emails sent on 06-07-2022 and 07-07-2022 till date.
I received a mail from the collection team on 13-07-2022, saying dues are not yet received and they will be forced to take further actions including SPDC presentation and Travel Ban on my passport! I shared all the details with the collection team and shared copies of the emails sent to Customer Service. They too did not show the courtesy to respond.
I received a WhatsApp message from Deem team today morning [protected]) saying my dues are pending and I need to clear it immediately to avoid further actions! This is such a pathetic service and completely unexpected from a banking firm operating in the UAE.
I've used Credit cards from different banks like HSBC, Standard Chartered, Emirates Islamic and Mashreq. I've never faced any payment-related or any other issues in the past from any of these banks. This is such a ridiculous and unacceptable service from Deem!
Desired outcome: I want them to reflect the amount I transferred to them on my Deem account and cancel the late payment charges and associated VAT. Needless to say, I don't wish any such incident to happen again.
Credit bureau report
I had a loan with this company in 2019 and paid off all balance on 2021. Now I check my credit bureau report and it shows that the loan is still active. On July 1 2022, I called their customer service with reference no. [protected] and the agent advised that the process will take 5 to 7 working days and an email will be sent with the attached letter that my loan has been paid and credit bureau has been updated. Since then, it's now 12 July 2022 nothing is received from my email and called their customer service to know the status of the letter. But they said I need to pay 63 AED for the letter and this will take 10-12 working days.
This is so frustrating because the loan has been paid off and there were not delayed payments and yet they don't do their job to close the account on credit bureau report and now I still need to pay them money for the mistake that I have never done.
It is DEEM responsibility to update the record on credit bureau once loan had been paid off.
I hope the higher management of DEEM can able to read this frustrating and disappointing complaint that they are giving us.

I had use Deem Finance credit card and last year i have closed after paying all my overdue amount and even after that i have been charged AED 105 two time. i gave up on this and requested closure officially and i received email from customer care as its been closed on 4th April officially.
And they confirmed me to pay AED 53 for clearance letter, i have been on vacation one month and i suddenly got charged AED 607 today where it seems very unprofessional.

I would like to lodge a complaint and arrange the problem before I proceed in complaining to the Credit Bureau. I have been trying to contact all your available contact numbers in the system but unfortunately not able to get through to you.
I took a loan in Dunia finance in 2016 with a credit card.
On March 11 2017, in less than 6 months I paid and closed the accounts including credit card.
Attached clearance letter from your steamed organisation.
I would like to know why every year it is showing in my Dubai Islamic bank account and it is under automatic debit which I do not have any liability in Dunia Finance. Kindly look into the matter and clear my account. The reference number is [protected]. I would like to sort the matter immediately before proceeding in taking necessary action and approach the credit bureau on this matter because I know they are the online entity that can help me on this matter if I will not be receiving any response on this matter.
Upon checking and searching from google I have found the information that the new name of Dunia Finance is Deem.

I have paid all the money owed to them and also paid extra - 1 month back.
I have requested for a credit card closure letter on Thursday and they promised me in 4 business days and here I am over a week.
The company knows when to call - when due amount is not paid..

I was deem credit card holder, recently i cancelled my deem credit card and unexpectedly i made additional payment against deem credit card AED 282/-
The same has been intimated to the deem customer care via email through registered email ID. as of today there is no response from deem.

Worst team, they lost minimum common sense in handling with Customers, I really dont knew anything about deem but after interacting with these people for credit card i understand the employees behaviour and i will company never taken care of behavioural aspects of these employees while giving them the job, most most most most most un professional behaviour people i have ever met in my life.

Due to current financial situation in market my salaries are delayed by three month and to avoid further issues in payments, I have requested DEEM finance collection team to divide my current outstanding of Aed 22000 in 12 months without charging any future interest that as well they declined and I am not able to pay current annual interest of 39 to 40 percent towards my card.
But they start behaving differently and threatening to take legal action by presenting security cheque to bank. Breaching the customer privacy and non disclosure clause they attempted to approach my family back in India.
At moment I have no money to pay overdue amount and agreed to pay late fee but Deem Finance team is behaving with me. even when I m willing to pay outstanding amount in easy installments.
Kindly Help me setting up easy installment plan for outstanding amount.

Deem Finance - Credit card closure request
Hi,
Since 2 weeks I am continuously contacting Deem Finance closing my inactivated credit card closure and I made multiple requests to the credit sales rep and the customer care for my credit card closure.
The customer sales rep called me and begged me to not close the card as I will not be charged with any fees. However, when i asked him to send me an email from his official email ID, he sent me from his personal email without stating the details.
On my insistence to speak to the supervisor, I got a call from customer care and they informed that they are closing my card within 48 hours and the credit card will get closed. I have asked them to send reference SMS and an email on the same. They have not sent me anything yet. Please close my card, return the blank cheque deposited at the time of application and issue clearance letter.

One of the employee name Arslan from deem processiong department promised me to give Aed 250 voucher after taking credit card and after activating the card he is not responding to my messages or calls.

Complaint against deem finance - credit & loan -[protected]
I closed my personal loan in February 2016 (Dunia/Deem) and credit card (converted as a personal loan) in April 2021 and was assured that the changes would be reflected at the Al Etihad Credit Bureau within 45 days.
However, I was looking to apply for a personal loan with another bank and came to find out that there are credit card & personal loan showing up against my name. It is showing as active which is closed for more than a year and it is badly affected on my Etihad bureau report.
I have sent several emails to Deem customer care [protected]@deem.io they are not responding my emails, they are not taking any action against my complaint, they are not ready to give the concern person's email id to contact

Early settlement computation and total overpayment made
Despite various calls and email follow ups, Deem Finance is not answering my request regarding computation about early settlement. Customer service staff are not sure how to help the caller. They are lying when the say tomorrow you will receive a call and email. Auto reply is saying seven working days but till now no one is replying.

I have completed the payment of my credit card and it got closed after a long battle. Deem is not sharing the clearance letter and asking me to wait for another 45 days. I have never ever seen a banking service and customer service worse than deem finance ever.
