Scammers
They're preying on people i'm lucky enough to know how they work and to spot bs. What's more bs is i'm not even a senior so i'm glad that i got it instead someone that's vulnerable. I want to say here is the number to file a fraud complaint as well as the website to do it on.[protected] file a https://consumer.georgia.gov/resolve-your-dispute. Both are to the AG in GA. Also make a complaint on ftc.gov, direct it as fraud, other, other, other and thrn put in the explanation. It will ask who you spoke to just put "first name: records, "last name: division" explanation follows. Our information is being stolen and sold from company data breaches. It isn't fair that they're allowed to do this. Senior citizens are getting scammed more than ever. That's good ol amerikkka for you not giving a damn about nothing but their pockets.
To make matters worse, i don't even live in GA
Records Division mailing to resident of Georgia
I also received this very mailing on 7/25/2023 from the "Records Division" indicating I was eligible for a "state regulated program" as a "resident of Georgia" for "all final expenses up to $35,000."
Unfortunately, it is probably all legal and not outright lying, but intentionally deceptive. It is sad that this kind of thing is normalized by the advertising industry.
Recommendation: Do not fall for this spam.
This shouldn't be legal
This shouldn't be legal. The name "Records Division" is intended to seem like a generic government office. The envelope stamp "SECOND NOTICE/TIME SENSITIVE" is a blatant lie, as there is never a first notice sent. The mailer listed our mortgage lender at the top to try and disguise itself as a legitimate mailer from our legitimate lender. Please investigate and shut this company down. And then shut down Direct Mail Processors, Inc. as well as they're engaged in the dissemination of this fraudulent phishing scam. If anyone gets a mailer with this return address DO NOT respond.
I am tired of getting these envelopes in the mail that are made to look like official documents with verbiage like "SECOND NOTICE/TIME SENSITIVE" from a so-called "Records Division" which is just another scheme to take our money. I do not buy it! These get torn up and trashed along with all the other organizations and companies that want to take my money. I can't afford it and I have far too much of this junk filling up my mailbox... It's too much for me to handle. I am trying to clean out the excess paper out of my apartment and every day I get more of these kinds of items.
I went to the company website and opted out and complained. Luckily, I have the Informed Delivery service. I receive emails with scanned images of most of my mail (not all) and I was able to extract the necessary information using a scanning app on my cell phone to report the code they need to hopefully stop this nuisance.
These kinds of businesses should be illegal and companies that buy and sell personal address information should be fined. It's an invasion of privacy!
Unsolicited marketing practices designed to the fool older population, scare them by sending bulk mailing marked time sensitive or second notice, to look like official government mailing, about entitlements and benefits, only to acquire older Americans personal information and to hard sell insurance. Just another shady way of scamming older Americans and a company just adding unnecessary waste to our landfills. Such a waste of resources. Shameful.
The title line of the mailing I received from Direct Mail Network, LLC reads 'T-2 "2022 Benefit Information for citizens only" 2022'. This is nothing but a scheme to collect email addresses in order to inundate your inbox with promotional material. Do not be deceived! When you respond to the optoutdmn.com, you will start receiving a multitude of emails filling up your inbox or spam. I am addressing the ComplaintsBoard.com as a senior citizen who is thoroughly exhausted by these tactics. I strongly recommend ensuring that these complaints are forwarded to the State Attorneys General Offices of Fraud Complaints through official channels. They might not listen to individuals, but they may heed your voice.
Received same solicitation notice today and immediately researched it to confirm my suspicion of scam. Im my 80 yr old blind fathers caregiver and in the process of final preparations and to get this was unexpected. I pray no one else gets scammed by this direct mailing scheme!
I received a form today that looks like a W-2 federal tax form
I received a form today that looks like a W-2 federal tax form. They labeled it as a "T-X XXXX Benefit Information for Ohio Citizens Only". They made it sound like a government program that pays 100% of funeral expenses tax free. However, no where on the form or the envelopes did it indicate which government agency they were talking about, and in teeny tiny print it says they are not affiliated with any government agency. Sounds too good to be true so I searched the names and addresses on the envelopes, and found this ComplaintsBoard.com record with a rating of F. That sounds about right. Definitely a scam.
Yep...Just got one too. I just put it in my burn pile. I just hope they aren't scamming the elderly. Records Division P.O. Box 100090 Kennesaw GA. 30156
Scam. If it were legit it would include information about who they are and what they're offering. Like others have said there's no phone number or website to contact. In small print it says "Information provided by Mail Pro Leads." Maybe going after MPL would stop this?
2022 benefit information for *** Citizens only! I received mail indicating I was entitled to more benefits not provided by government funds on 4/2/22. I have access to a 2022 state-regulated program which will pay 100% of all final expenses up to $35,000. Return this postage paid card within 5 days to request this new benefit information. Small print to opt out of future mailings please visit optoutdmn.com and enter this 9 digit code:
Now they have multiple names for themselves and multiple PO Boxes. They call themselves "Records Division" and are sending documents that look like official tax type documents. They say "You now have access to a 2022 State-regulated program which will pay 100% of all final expenses up to $35,000." Total Scam! These people need to be shut down, fined and jailed for being deceptive predators! Honestly!
This is definitely a scam
This is definitely a scam. Name is super generic so you think it MIGHT actually be some government office you don't know about and the "Second Notice" makes you nervous. Mailer looks professional, with the name of your mortgage lender and states how the benefits you sign up for might protect you against "Disability, Critical or Terminal Illness, Death or Unemployment" (lol that unemployment is a fate worse than death). Requests borrower and spouse/co-borrower information which...if you got the info from my lender, shouldn't you already know, if you're legit? Totally bogus and should be shut down immediately.
Scam! Called my Mortgage Co and they kindly informed me if it was from them it would have my acct # on it. Which of course it doesn't. It does have a mortgage ID # on it but its not MY acct number. I would like this company to stop harassing me. They send a correspondence just about everyday saying Mortgage Payoff Program join now don't wait! um...jump off a cliff. I don't need phony business in my biz. I would like to be left alone to go along my merry way thank you very much. :3
Definitely a scam! Whoever these people are have no phone number to contact them with, and they keep sending this to my husband's deceased mother at our new address, which she has never once been associated with. Absolute trash scam especially seeing is how her death date is just around the corner. I want to report to these people to someone, but how do I do that?
my son received the same letter only the last name was not his last name. It was actually in my last name so that was weird. But we are not stupid this is a scam!
Same as all others. Definitely seems like a predatory actor trying to decide people out of money somehow. Hope they get shut down!

This company sent harassing mail solicitations to my mom, who is not eligible for Medicare yet, telling her she had one week to call them or she would be charged a penalty for not signing up early. I went to their website and walked her through how to opt out. She called me because I work for a Medicare brokerage company and I hate to see companies like this scaring people into thinking they have to call within a week or they lose their opportunity for Medicare OR they're told they "pay a penalty for life." We have already opted her out online on your dnpoptout website with the 9 digit code she was given. Please do not contact her again.
Entitled to more benefits ? Omg ! The United States keeps giving out money, it's going to be chaos on the long shot ! I'm so glad I googled this. I don't know what to believe anymore . Soooooo much phone spam, mail spam. Sighsoooo annoying!
I got one 10/14. Said I was eligible for Government programs, including car purchase plan, cell phone, health care and may even qualify for a government position based on my education.
I love to talk to telemarketers and scammers. I called and finally got a woman named "***".
After she "explained" my benefits and was very assertive wanting my information. I started asking her questions..."how long have you been there, how's the pay, is it a friendly work environment"?
Told her if she was willing to relocate, my company would offer a her a job. She gave me her date of birth, SS number address, telephone...apparently one does not have to be very smart to work there
I received the same letter as each of you did as of today, And it seems to be from the Record Division out of Georgia, but it is from Direct Mail Network, LLC. Have never heard of this place to be sending me a second notice which I have not received the first notice. It`s stating that I can be getting more benefits from the government . I did fill it out but did not send yet until it brought me to this page. I did not even think the mail would even deliver this if it is a scam. Thanks for the reviews and I will not respond to it all. This is the address that was on the envelope. They even sent me a postage-paid envelope. Again thank for ComplaintsBoard.com, so we can search for business that claims they are legit Direct Mail Network, LLC P.O.Box 1000090 Kennesaw, Ga. [protected]
Rec'd same letter in the mail today. Notified the proper authorities.
We also receive the same letter! We are in Wisconsin, so I’m assuming they’re going to state to state with their scam. Beware everyone.

This looked suspicious to me from the get-go with it's nasty "SECOND WARN
iNG" label - but I never received a 1st warning so already I was on alert. This cannot be anything real - never heard of the company - don't live in or near GA and don't know anyone ehtere. Thanks to the postings and warnings I can see this is a SCAM. I wondered about it - companies like this should be put out of business. Sadly they manage to trick some people - those who don't know how to look it up and believe the fraudulent look of this to be actually serious documents.
Really companies such as this should be put out of business. I would give less than 1 star if I could.

I received this letter, showing "Second Notice, Time Sensitive" and "Important Document Enclosed" At the top of slip was T-2, in middle 2022 Benefit Information for Texas Citizens Only, then 2022. Looked like an official government form at first glance, but it gave no specific information. Only said "your are entitled to more benefits not provided by government funds...up to $35,000.00" In microscopic print above the bar code was "not affilated with or endorsed by any government agency." So glad that I double checked the address on computer search and saw the ComplaintsBoard.com reviews. Tear up any mail from RECORDS DIVISION, P. O. BOX 100090, KENNESAW, GA 30156

A myriad of scams began when I turned 50
A myriad of scams began when I turned 50. I've avoided them all for years, until 7/5. I requested a Medicare form from AZ DES. Few days later, the "2021 T-2 AZ benifit" form arrived. Thinking it was form I asked for, I sent it in. Then the actual form arrived. DES has no idea what a "T-2" is. IRS site directed me to phishing and to images/stories about the T2 scam. Smallest, lightest, finest print on form directs me to dmpoptout.com where it appears they're just gathering more information. The plethora of calls, texts and emails are overwhelming. Literally hundreds. A scam isn't just theft of money. Could someone tell me how to truly opt out of direct mail processing llc and dmpoptout.com? I would truly appreciate it.

Inquiry about Unsolicited Mail to Deceased

Address Redacted
January 2
Dear Sir or Madam,
I received a form in today's mail for my late wife, who passed away in 2013. The envelope, from 'Records Division' PO Box 100080, Kennesaw, GA, contained a misleading form resembling a tax document, titled '2021 Benefit Information For New Jersey Citizens Only.' It falsely claimed entitlement to benefits and a life insurance program. This is the third year Direct Mail Processing LLC has solicited personal details via this scam. Despite their 'opt out' option, the tiny font size makes it impractical for seniors. A sentence in minuscule font states, 'Not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency.' This deceptive practice must be addressed. Please ensure my wife's name and address are removed from all DM Processing mailings.
Sincerely,
Name Withheld

I repeatedly get correspondence from this business which is trying to impersonate my mortgage lender. They try to make their mailings legal-looking, putting the name of my mortgage company front and center, and try to make this look like an official document from my mortgage company. How do I know that this is a phishing scam?
How do I know that this is a phishing scam? The fact that they "need" more than my full name and address, that's how. Then there's those scare tactics My only real dispute is that they are misrepresenting themselves, and in more than one way. The threat of paying penalties for non-compliance in signing on with Medicare, for one, and for "the rest of my life", no less. They demand that I respond by 11/24, and I just received this TODAY, which triggered more alarm bells. This is garbage. I want them treated as such. AND left alone.

This company asked for personal information
This company asked for personal information. This company sent me a form akin to a government form in appearance asking for my email address, spouses name my phone number and address. In addition the company was telling me I needed to enroll in Medicare now or risk a 10% or more penalty taken directly from my social security payment "for life". I do not respond to threats of any kind, I'm a veteran and am very protective of my personal information and ANY information regarding my spouse! I do not wish to be contacted by this third rate company again and would rather see an end put to businesses that conduct themselves in such manners. NO FURTHER CONTACT!
