I would like to mention this to all who either giving or planning to donate any thing to diya foundation having office in vikas puri. This NGO started under Mr. Manchanda, Gangaram Hospital(Dir.) It is managed by Vineet Nayar and his wife along with Mr. Gini they are using the funds for there own pesonal purposes. Mr. Vineet who was in financial crises 5 years back has got 3 appartments and 5 cars through this NGO only they are making money and his wife also helping to take it forward. They have shown a printing business which is just a eye wash.Vineet is a person who just thinks about money and women he says i just wat girls in my office.
You can check with the staff that no one works there for more than 6 months as they don't want any one to know there modus operandi. They have made stupid out of PVR, SAIL toname few.
I requuest the donor to donate where they need not where the people like vineet nayyar want

This a fake post and posted by a unknown user by hiding his identity. Can this user proof that he stated? Diya Foundation is a NGO in Delhi working for the welfare of underprivileged children and used to give moral values with healthcare and education services to them.

Not agreed with the above post. Diya Foundation is a reputed NGO in Delhi as i know and registered as a charitable society in India on 2nd April, 2003 under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860. Its working for the welfare of poor and runs schools for slum children. Their work is fine i think so.

My company doesn't even allow to open diyafoundation.org where as I can access diyafoundation.com. I don't think diyafoundation which is in Delhi is genuine. They are calling mobile customers for donations and they have this fraud network even in Bangalore. They might be running some NGO but it's like ITC opening cancer hospital. Will it help anyone? Please beware while donating. :)

I received a call from Diya .. They are asking money for cancer patient . You can not force any one to donate .. Your people calling and bugging them .. Donation should come from heart not by force .. Its like a call center and they are calling people to achieve their target . I don't know this foundation right or wrong . But please stop calling people and forcing them for Donation .

Diya Foundation has been doing a great job and provides food, medicines, housing and education to children of slums in delhi. From providing fresh water to building new schools for children of the slums, the Diya Foundation has also helped children caught in natural disasters. Medical specialists and medicine supplies are also sent to these affected areas.

It provides humanitarian, philanthropic aid and services for children in need.

You can donate through cheques and bank transfer and through their online website.

Even i got a call from diya foundation on oct 2013 regarding a patient which has to go under heart surgery which was about to get operated in seven hills hospitel. They also forwarded me the child details along with hospitels papers. Considering those details i donated few amount. Later after few days i got a call again mentioning that "the donation was usefull for the child operation thanks". Again after few days in Nov 2013 i got a call regarding a patient which has to go under heart surgery. I asked the document details. They forwarded me the same details which i already received in first time. I asked them that you guys have already forwarded me details of the patient earlier as well and now again you are forwarding me the same detials. They told we are in shortage of amount so operation is postponded. This time for the name sake i transfer a very samll amount. I was doubfull about this but this time but i ignored. Now its a height again they called me today i.e 15-Jan-2014 and told me the same story of a child who has to undergo open heart surgery. I disconnected the call. I dont know what is this about. Is this a new type of earning? or is it a real NGO ?

Hey guys is Diya foundation and Diya foundation WE CARE... are two different trust. When i agreed for help, they sent someone to collect the amount his leaflet has Named the trust as Diya foundation WE CARE... Also he gave me details of the hospital. This time i again tried calling the hospital (INNOVA Hospital) Hyd. Incharge Mr. Santosh holding no: - [protected] and he said Diya foundation WE CARE... Is genuine trust. They helped the hospital in operating 3 children. I now think DIYA Foundation is fake trust but Diya foundation WE CARE... is genuine. Even when I asked Incharge Mr. Santosh weather he will give me details of the boy who has to be operated he agreed and asked me my mail id for sending details.

Well, I would not want to support this organization. Even I got a call from them today. One of my prime reasons being that Mr. Sushil Ansal, who has been convicted in the Uphaar Cinema Fire Tragedy of 1997 and awarded 2 years of rigorous imprisonment by the Supreme Court and 25 Lakhs of Punitive damages, is on the Advisory Board of this foundation. A convict is a convict and this supposed show of concern for the underprivileged cannot take away the guilt. If he was such a concerned person he should have allowed the case to be closed early, owned up the guilt and compensated the victims adequately. Instead he dragged the case for 17 long years and even tampered with the evidence in the Court records for which a separate case has been filed.

Someone in the comments above has mentioned that "Diya Foundation" and "Diya Foundation We Care" are two different organizations. They are all the same. One website automatically redirects to the other. So don't be fooled.

My suggestion would be to avoid these two organizations and the others associated with it, viz., Care and Concern, Sandeepon Music and Education Society, Sahyog - care for you.

There is Dr. S. C. Manchanda, Padmashree, who is associated with all these trusts. I wonder if he is aware of the kind of company he is keeping.

hi, i too got a call from diya foundation asking to help a boy named Chandan from bangalore. my opinion on diya foundation aka 'diya we care' is, it is fake. both are the same and both are fake. please think before donating to diya foundation aka diya we care. they seem to be running a BPO. once you donate, they literally drive you crazy with at least 10 calls a day to donate more. they force you to donate in fact. they call day in and day out till they squeeze something from you. i feel the banks and credit card calls are a much more tolerable experience. i told them i live in bangalore and will personally visit chandan and his family to donate. they refused it downright saying only diya foundation has the right to donate for chandan's treatment and you have to donate only to diya foundation if you want to help chandan. can you believe it? they even refused to part with his contact details saying no one can meet him. definitely fake.

Hi,

I have been getting calls from Diya foundation and Care concern on regular basis.
I have donated some money for boy named Nawaz who is undergoing treatment at Sri Shankara hospital, Bangalore.

I was not sure whether the case is real or fake so I asked for patient details (which the NGO did share without any problem). I visited the hospital and met the Admin Mrs Rama Ramamurthy mam (her contact number is [protected]). She confirmed that Nawaz is being treated there and they have received some funds from Diya foundation. Shen then took me to the ward where I met Nawaz and his parents who confirmed that they have been receiving help from the hospital and the NGO. She showed me files of few more patients including a child named Chandan. Lady from NGO mentioned that if I don't want an 80G certificate then I can directly donate the money at hospital, which I did later.

I am not sure about the accounts and funds collected in the name of these children, but these two cases of Chandan and Nawaz loom real to me and they are getting some help from hospital and the NGO

Alok

FRAUDSTER: The so called 2nd Diya Foundation (www.diyaindia.org) who call people on their Mobile asking for donations for various type of surgeries for children is a Suspicious Fraud company. They are NOT THE SAME as DIYA FOUNDATION (DIYA WE CARE) based at 506 Ansal Majestic Tower, G-Block, Vikaspuri, NCR (www.diyafoundation.org). These scammer have craftily built (cloned) an entity (company) which is very similar to the original Diya We Care & even have bank account in Vikaspuri. These fraudsters have a ONE-PAGE Website only which provides no information except photos of few children. Verify online first before paying any money.

I have been hounded as well by them and thankfully for me I initially was convinced but then the bank transfer didn't go thru. They started harassing me with incessant calls and messages and I had to block all numbers. This is definitely not a genuine organisation and its unfortunate that they are trying to cheat people who want to genuinely help the under privileged.
