Malpractice Carter Eye Center Informative

There was a time when you could trust what a doctor was telling you.

Well, it is just not like that anymore.

I went to the Carter Eye center after hearing their advertisements and how great and advanced their technology was and I have to say before my surgery I was convinced.

I am almost blind now! My vision is cloudy and I see double.

I Am Almost Blind Now - Lasik

The glare of the light hurts my eyes and gives me massive pains in my head.

I have waited for many months for my eyes to heal and I kept hoping that my sight would get better. It did not. I now have to wear glasses for everything I do thanks to the shaky hands of DR Carter.

There is better technology available and I now have to repair the damage done at Carter Eye Center. They make you sign releases before you have the surgery and now I see why. I doubt I am the only one with this result considering the lack of technology they have.

The carter Eye Center in Dallas Texas is nothing but a BAIT and SWITCH scam. They are not using any special technology but instead are using the old blade lasik. I was shocked the next day when it felt like hot branding irons were being pushed into my eyes.

I am very interested in filing a Lawsuit against this company and I would like any information you may have on how the BAIT and SWITCH caught others in the same way. I would like to put a stop to this fraud.

Thank You
John

Dr. Harvey L. Carter Carter Eye Center Runied my Eyes. I had LASIK eye surgery at Dr. Harvey L. Carter Carter Eye Center a year and a half ago. Since then I have had a lot of problems, including constantly and burning dry eyes, halos, star bursts, bad to almost no night vision, etc. It has significantly changed my life for the worse. I'm getting very depressed, angry, taking days off just to lie in bed all day. It has ruined my life to the point that I just want to quit work and give up.

When I first went to the Carter Carter Eye Center they told me what a high technology they had and later I found all the things they said including what the cost would be was not true at all. I have started seeing another lasik doctor and he is going to fix the damage done by Dr. Harvey Carter.

Thanks,
Angry After Bad Surgery.

Well I have been through an absolute whirlwind with this office, in fact i am ready to get a lawyer. I dont like to be confrontational, but i think i might have too. I had Lasik done about a month and a half ago, and i still cant see correctly. Im not able to drive very safely or read things like i used to with my contacts. First of all the day i had my surgery, right after my surgery the doctors kept looking at me left eye over and over. My fiancee who was with me at the time said he overheard them say amongst them selves oh we will see how it is in the morning, we will recheck it.

The next morning came and i wwent in for my post op visit, to get my eyes checked again and they told me i caused tthe flap on my left eye to get a wrinkle in it and i would have to get a lift and smooth procedure done to my left eye cause the flap wasnt lying correctly on the eye. All in all im thinking after what happened the previous day after my surgery that i came out of surgery with this problem.

Im getting so frustrated im 25 years of age and i after a month and a half cant see without my new prescription glasses. THey keep telling me it can still correct itself i dont see how the eye is the fastest healing part of your body, you tell me how they can go from 20/30 and 20/40 which is were they are at now to 20/20. I dont think so, maybe by a miracle. And arent the machines calibrated according to your prescription? If i have to get a recorecction, i will absolutely not let DR. Carter perform the surgery. I have lost all confidence in him and his staff. And this couldnt have come at a worse time right before my wedding. Thanks Dr. Carter now i wont beable to see at my wedding, im not wearing my ugly glasses in my photos and contacts are out of the question they wont let me wear them.

Dr. Carter also completely blotched my surgery. I have been to numerous doctors since and they all are very aware of Dr. Carter's handiwork. One of them put it best: 'Dr Cater does not have a medical practice, he practices medicine'!

Besides being extremely rude to his patients and staff and apparently botching surgeries, his billing dept is screwed up! Nine months after I paid for my procedure in full (my insurance would not cover) I'm getting statements saying I owe $5500! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

My heart goes out to you and all of those that suffered botched surgeries due to doctors that aren't properly train and/or no skills and/or experience to do the surgeries in the first place. There are just too many greedy doctors out there.

In 2007 I was told Mono vision was my only option. Wish I had left but I didn't. Several years later, I started seeing dropoffs in the roads. I suffered for approximately 5 years until I went to an optometrist and found out the lasik had shifted affecting my depth perception in the right eye first and then the left eye and the surgery cannot be undone.

After trying to fix the problem with glasses, my new optometrist recommended contacts and so far I think they are the answer. I tell anyone DO NOT accept one option when it comes to having vision surgery. Your eyes are too precious and I would not recommend Dr. Carter to my friends or family and from the other complaints I have read about him, neither would others. In fact, I hope he eventually goes out of business.
