I ordered party of five box set from these rip off merchants. They have taken £90 from my account but have not sent confirmation of my order or replied to the numerous e mails i've sent. I am now trying to recoup the money from my bank and have had to change my account details because of this. Please be aware that this website is not to be trusted, i only wish i had read up on this website before ordering from them.

I have ordered from dvddonkey.com and I think they are originally another website that tried to debit my card without sending goods. Be very wary. I have them under investigation as well now.

A co-worker just placed an order with DvdDonkey.com. They debited his card immediately for $73. They didn't answer emails or the telephone. They gave him a false tracking number. After 21 days he cancelled his credit card.

Until last week, Complaints Board had a listing of other false websites that have been operated by the same group of people. For some reason, it's been removed, along with several other complaints about DvdDonkey.com.

I placed an order for a dvd collection and have not received any emails or answers to my emails and have not been able to contact them by phone.. could someone tell me how to go about getting my money back $204.92 and getting this website off of the internet. They are totally a joke and this collection would have been a gift for my mother.

I ordered DVD set on September 29, 2007 and they charged my credit card on October 2, 2007. I have written numerous e-mails and called their phone number and they do not answer any of them. I am at a loss of what to do. they have scammed me out of $120.58 which to me and many other people is a lot of money. Any help I can get would be appreciated.

My Mother has been charged over $200.00 and she has not been able to make contact via e-mails or telephone. I wish I knew how to go about getting her money back. Should she worry about anymore fraudulent charges to her credit card?

I, too had placed an order with DVDDonkey, a company I had not used before but unwisely, chose to believe would be safe. After googling the company name, I was directed to this website and found these complaints listed. Now I am waiting to see whether my order will be cancelled as I requested after speaking to an operator. Unfortunately, they're still in possession of my details, and apart from wondering whether I will be ripped off to the tune of over 200 dollars (a fortune to me) for two tv complication sets, they still have my details. I will be even more careful in future where I chose to shop on-line.

Be very aware of this company, the charged me $175 + shipping for a mini series and never send me the items, it has been 20 days since I ordered and every time I called their machine answer. When you do online chat the give you this funny tracking number from Canadapost and they tell you that the item was already shipped. Called Canadapost to verify tracking and the information is false. Be ware!

I almost bought something, but I got suspicious, they are trying to sell dvds that don't even exist!
Anyway I think they are also going by: http://www.tvaddicts.tv/

I contacted dvd donkey through their website, and they swore to me that their company was legit. When I asked how it was that they could get "complete series" of dvds that were not released yet they skirted around the question and told me all their dvds are Quality. I think that the company "Ultimate DVD" is also the SAME company. I got the same runaround with them. Something should be done. I'm glad I checked it out FIRST. I saved myself over $250.

I ordered a set of DVDs from this company on September 29th and they charged my credit card on October 2,2007. I finally was able to get through to them and they said that my DVDs were on back order. Now I see that I cannot get on their website, so I guess they shut down. I am now scammed out of $120.58. Any ideas on how to get my money back?

On 10-26-2007, I went to the PBS website to purchase Prime Suspect Series. I clicked on the DVD link on the PBS site and was routed to DVDdonkey.com. Assuming that this was a reputable site, I placed the order and my Visa statement was charged $148.12. I never received a confirmation for the order via email so I went back to the DVD website to try and initiate contact. The email support on the site sent me an email back stating "delivery failure". I then called the number as billed on my Visa statement [protected] (which showed 877-TV-Series as the biller) and the phone just rang and rang with no answer. I was able to leave a message but again, no answer or call back and no answer.

I am concerned as both 877-TV-Series and DVD Donkey, I later found, have had several complaints about failure to deliver/scam reports. I am also concerned since PBS is automatically routing customers to this site. I do not want to be ripped off!

Thank you!
Kelly.

I also fell into this apparent scam... I, like those above me tried calling and emailing repeatedly to no avail. I filed an FTC complaint as well. I just got off the phone with my credit card company, and I explained the whole ordeal. They credited my account with temporary credit since I filed a dispute with them. DvdDonkey has 45 days to reply to the dispute, and if they don't then the money goes straight back onto my account. A hassle, but I think it's going to be fixed. Also, I'm getting back the overdraft fees that resulted from the transaction! (I tried to repeatedly cancel the order, so the charges shouldn't have showed up in the first place.)

What a scam. It looked totally legit too. There should be some kind of warning against this site. (Which I can't access any more, but I don't know if that's just me...)

My sister order the Everwood DVD Collection about 4 weeks ago - the company took out more than the sale amount out of her credit card and no product has been delivered. No address or phone number to contact. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM SITE. STAY AWAY FROM DONKEY.COM

I ordered Dean Martin set of15 DVD's. The same day my bank Florida Telco the department of fraud prevension called me to ask if I would like to let this transaktion go trought, I realized that the print I had for confirmation had no amount and the price they was trying to charge me was more then the one I agreed to pay. I am so pleased with my bank I had all my money back.
But BE AWARE that when you did the transaction w dvddonkey it was not HTTPS ( it was only http - NOT SECURE ), so your information is out there in Internet not protected.
I had to cancel my debit card and reorder it with new number.

This company is a scam. I have now found this out after ordering 2 full sets of dvds from them and not getting the email confirmation, tried contacting them via email as that is their only solution listed on the many different web names they use. So far, I have found over 6 different web addresses for this same company and have been able to track a couple down through the back door. It appears they are located in Ontario Canada.
I've already contacted my credit card after reading the many complaints about this company on line and not getting any response from them via email.

Here are just a few of the sites I've found so far
tvaddicts.tv
dvddonkey.com
todvdornottodvd.com
dvdavenue.tv
ultimatedvdshop.com
dvdcraze.tv
dvddiesel.com

Please do not order anything from this company as they are not legite and will cause nothing but grief when trying to get your money back.

I've never had a problem ordering online for anything but this is the one place that I will make sure no one else orders from.

Is there some place out there you can notify about frauds like this for internet sales?

I also have been scammed by this company. I have noticed that there are several of these companies operating in the same manner with different names for their websites but intrinsically are all and the same. My husbands credit card was debited and I have sent them threatening emails and saying I didn't believe they are a legitimate site and will retract my payment, but even then I have had no reply. Keep away from these sites! Always make sure that the payment area is secure, this site wasn't, my own fault and I will be very careful from now on...

They got us both scammed on the same day. I placed an order that very same day for the Summerland DVD set. I was billed $127.07 and never got a confirmation email. I've tried contacting them and failed just as you did. I'm sending a letter to my credit card company hoping to get the charge taken off. I wish you luck.

Do not get internet service with Net Zero. They debited money out of my account after I canceled service with them after three months of telling them I canceled service they told me it showed where I did cancel my service. But when my bank statement arrived it showed they were still taking out money. I had to send a letter to the Attorney General to get them to stop and put the money they stole over the course of three months back in my account. I don't want anyone else to get scammed like I did from this company. What a bunch of crooks!

I ordered and paid for the complete Spin City series on 10 Oct 2007. I too had given up hope of getting them until to-day when a package arrived from Canada containing my order. I ordered from DVD donkey but my package was delivered from DVDavenue.TV. This has restored my confidence. Maybe its just a case of waiting long enough. I had no response to my E-mail queries either.

Well, this will end me ever using the internet to order anything - I guess I am a victim too - I ordered the complete Rifleman series and haven't gotten anything yet. Their email address to check on your order doesn't work either. I'm out of $132.00. I sure hope that someone can figure out a way to track these people down. This is especially bad since it is around Christmas - they should be ashamed of themselves.
