Swap a DVD Review: Decent Site for DVD Swapping
I gotta say, I've used Swap a DVD before and it's been pretty good. The only thing that's been a bit of a pain is that I forgot my password and couldn't get into my account. But you know what's cool? You can move credits between your paperbackswap and swapadvd accounts. It took a bit of time to get it sorted out, but they eventually helped me out.
I'm really hoping that the old war movies I got for my husband arrive soon. He's been wanting to watch them for ages, and I think it'll make him pretty happy. I also got a couple of movies for myself, so I'm looking forward to watching those too.
Overall, I'd say that Swap a DVD is a pretty decent site. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done. If you're looking to swap some DVDs, it's definitely worth checking out.
SwapaDVD: The Ultimate Movie Lover's Dream Come True!
This site is the bomb! I've been using it for almost a year now and it's been smooth sailing all the way. Just today, I got my hands on 12 Years a Slave for free! Can you believe it? That movie's only been out for a few weeks and I was number one on the waiting list out of 102 people. Talk about luck!
I've never had any problems with the DVDs I've mailed out. They always get to their destination safe and sound. And the same goes for the DVDs I've received. I've even swapped box sets with other users on the site. It's a great way to get rid of movies that you don't want anymore and get something new in return.
I've tried selling some of my old DVDs on eBay, but I didn't get much for them. With SwapaDVD, I can trade them in for something I actually want. And the best part is, it's not a scam! I know there are a lot of shady sites out there, but this one is legit.
Overall, I highly recommend SwapaDVD to anyone who loves movies and wants to expand their collection without breaking the bank. It's easy to use, reliable, and a great way to connect with other movie lovers. Give it a try and see for yourself!
SwapaDVD Review: A Great Way to Trade and Get New Movies for Free!
I been using SwapaDVD for a month now and I gotta say, I'm really happy with it. As a big movie fan, I got a lot of DVDs that I didn't know what to do with. I couldn't sell them for much and I didn't want to just throw them away. But with SwapaDVD, I can trade them with other people who want them and get new movies in return.
The selection of movies is really extensive. I've found a lot of movies that I've been wanting to watch for a while but couldn't find anywhere else. And the best part is that I don't have to pay anything for them. All I have to do is trade one of my own movies for it.
So far, I've traded over 40 movies and have received about 15 in return. I still have a lot of movies on my "Wish List" that I'm waiting to get, but I know I'll get them eventually. It's just a matter of waiting for the people ahead of me in the queue to fulfill their trades.
Overall, I think SwapaDVD is a great find. It's a really easy way to get new movies without having to spend any money. And it's a great way to get rid of old movies that you don't want anymore. I would definitely recommend it to any movie fan out there.
SwapaDVD Review: A Great Way to Swap DVDs and Save Money!
I been a member of SwapaDVD for a long time now and I can tell you that it's a great place to swap DVDs. I've sent out over 1400 DVDs and received over 1200, and I hardly ever had any problems. And when I did, they were resolved quickly. I don't agree with all the bad reviews on here. I've gotten a lot of new releases and even been on the waitlist for some. The members are honest and appreciative, and I think that's why the club works so well.
Honestly, I don't think anyone who gives SwapaDVD a chance and is honest and realistic could possibly have anything negative to say. It's a great way to get rid of DVDs you don't want anymore and get new ones to watch. And it's all done through the mail, so you don't even have to leave your house. It's convenient and easy to use.
The only thing I would say is that sometimes it can take a little while to get the DVDs you want, especially if they're popular. But that's just the nature of swapping. You have to be patient and wait your turn. But it's worth it in the end because you get to watch new movies without having to spend any money.
Overall, I would definitely recommend SwapaDVD to anyone who loves movies and wants to save some money. It's a great community of people who love to share their DVDs and help each other out. So give it a try and see for yourself how great it is!
Disappointing Experience with SwapaDVD: Rude Customer Service and Unfair Policies
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with SwapaDVD. I mean, I thought it was a cool idea - you swap DVDs with other people and get to watch new movies without spending a ton of money. But man, the people who run this site are something else.
First of all, they don't seem to care about their members at all. I had some credits saved up, and when I tried to use them, they just disappeared. I tried to contact customer service, but they were so rude and unhelpful. It's like they don't even want to hear from you unless you're bringing in new members.
Speaking of new members, they're always pushing you to refer people to the site. But if you actually manage to get a lot of people to sign up, they'll flag your account and take away your credits. It's like they don't want you to succeed or something.
And don't even get me started on their sister sites, SwapaCD and PaperbackSwap. They're just as bad, if not worse. It's like they're all run by the same group of arrogant, uncaring people.
Honestly, if you have any credits with these sites, I'd use them up as soon as possible and get out while you still can. Don't let them rob you like they did to me.
SwapaDVD Review: Affordable and Easy Way to Swap DVDs and Blu-rays
I've been using SwapaDVD for a little while now, and I have to say, it's a pretty great site. I started out by listing 10 of my DVDs, and within no time at all, I had two requests for them. I used my two credits to get two DVDs of my own, and they arrived in just a few days. It was so easy!
Since then, I've noticed that the requests for my DVDs have slowed down a bit. But I've found that if I post a new listing every few weeks, it brings my old list back to the forefront and people might see it again. And sure enough, I usually get at least one request each time I do that. So my advice is to space out your listings a bit after the initial 10.
One thing to keep in mind is that it costs $2.07 to send one DVD through SwapaDVD, or you can buy postage from them to mail it without having to go to the post office. It's definitely the cheapest way to own a DVD or Blu-ray, but sometimes you have to be patient and wait for the more popular titles to become available.
Overall, I'm really happy with SwapaDVD. It's a great way to get rid of DVDs you don't want anymore and get some new ones in return. And the fact that it's so affordable is a huge plus. I definitely recommend giving it a try!
SwapaDVD Review: A Must-Visit Site for Movie Buffs Who Love to Trade DVDs
SwapaDVD is a really cool website for all the movie buffs out there who love to trade. The site has some really good protections in place to make sure that you don't end up with pirated copies of movies. They have a really extensive list of movies that you can add to your wishlist, which is great because you can keep track of all the movies that you want to watch.
Listing your DVDs to trade is super easy, and they even have a feature where you can print out mailing labels. This makes the whole process of trading DVDs a lot easier and more convenient. The social interaction functions on the site are also really cool, as you can connect with other movie lovers and discuss your favorite films.
One thing that I did find a bit frustrating about SwapaDVD is that if you're looking for something a little bit unusual, you might have to wait a really long time to get it. For example, if you're looking for a Criterion DVD, you might have to wait a while before one becomes available for trade. However, I did manage to get my hands on Zeffirelli's "Romeo & Juliet" after waiting almost a year. All you have to do is list the DVD that you want and forget about it, and they'll send you an email when it becomes available.
SwapaDVD also has a book-trade and CD-trade site, but I haven't used them yet. Overall, I think that SwapaDVD is a really great site for anyone who loves movies and wants to trade DVDs. It's easy to use, and the social interaction functions make it a really fun and engaging community to be a part of. If you're a movie lover, I definitely recommend checking out SwapaDVD!
Swap-A-DVD Review: A Disappointing Site for DVD Swapping
Swap-A-DVD is a really cool idea, but it doesn't work out so well in practice. To put it simply, you'll never get the DVDs you want from this site, no matter how cheap and easy to find they are on other online retailers. I've been a member for six months now and I've sent out a whopping twenty-five DVDs, but I've only received one in return. And to make matters worse, it was a public domain version of Bob Hope's Son of Paleface, which I could have easily bought for just a few bucks on Amazon or eBay.
Now, I understand that not all of the DVDs I sent out were rare or expensive, but at least half of them were readily available and selling for very low prices online. But for some reason, other members just don't seem to post anything valuable on the site. So if you're thinking about joining Swap-A-DVD, be prepared to waste a lot of money and time. You can post a bunch of DVDs and ship them out, but don't expect to get anything in return.
But hey, if you're feeling particularly altruistic, then go ahead and join up. Just don't expect to get your DVDs back. Personally, I'd love to have my DVDs back, but I guess that's just not going to happen. All in all, Swap-A-DVD is a pretty disappointing site.
SwapaDVD Review: Only for Region 1 DVDs with UPC Code
This site called SwapaDVD might be alright, but I don't think I'll be using it too much. They only let you trade DVDs that are Region 1, which means you can't get titles that weren't released in that region or ones that have more features on a different region's release. I don't really understand why they do this, but they say it's because they don't want to get sued for promoting piracy. Apparently, most pirated DVDs aren't Region 1, so if they let people trade those, they could get in trouble. I don't know if it's their fault or the law's fault or what, but that's what they say.
Basically, if you want to use SwapaDVD, you have to make sure your DVDs are Region 1 and have a UPC code. If they don't have those things, they might be illegal copies. SwapaDVD doesn't want to get in trouble for letting people trade pirated DVDs, so they have to be really strict about this. They can't check every single DVD that people want to trade, so they just have to make sure everyone follows the rules.
I think it's kind of annoying that they only let you trade Region 1 DVDs, but I guess I understand why they do it. It's just too bad if you really want to trade a DVD that isn't Region 1. I don't know if there are other sites that let you trade DVDs from different regions, but I guess I'll have to look around. Overall, I think SwapaDVD might be worth checking out if you have a lot of Region 1 DVDs you want to trade, but if you have DVDs from other regions, you might be out of luck.
SwapaDVD Review: Good, but Realistic Expectations Needed
SwapaDVD is a pretty good website, but some people have unrealistic expectations. First of all, it's not free. You have to pay a 50-cent handling fee if you request a DVD with credits, and if someone requests one of your DVDs, you have to pay $1 or more for postage. Some people complain that they never received the DVDs they requested, and the sender is out the cost of postage and the value of the DVD. But did they send it by Insured Mail? If not, there's no recourse from the USPS on any lost package. Even if they paid an extra dollar for delivery confirmation, the sender suffers the loss. The recipient doesn't have much incentive to file a claim, since they don't lose anything except not getting the DVD they wanted. And USPS regulations won't allow a claim to be filed until 45 days have passed since sending.
As for broken DVDs, what do people expect if they follow SwapaDVD's instructions to use one sheet of paper and a piece of cereal-box cardboard as the mailing package? I always send mine in the original DVD case, in a #5 bubble-wrap envelope, and I've never had a damaged-DVD report.
In conclusion, SwapaDVD is a good online group to belong to, but you have to pay attention to the details. If you want total protection from loss or damage in delivery, you should buy your DVDs from eBay, even though they cost four or five times as much.

Disappointing Experience with SwapaDVD: Lost Package and No Credits Received
I sent a really nice and expensive Blu-Ray/DVD set to SwapaDVD (swapadvd.com) and they said it got lost in the mail. I was really upset because I spent a lot of money on it and I wanted to get some credits for it. I even sent them a receipt to show that I sent it, but they still wouldn't give me any credits. I think they are a rip off and I don't trust them anymore. It's really frustrating because now I don't have my Blu-Ray and I didn't get anything for it. I wish they would have been more helpful and given me some credits like they promised.
SwapaDVD Review: A Total Rip-Off, Don't Waste Your Money
I ain't happy with SwapaDVD. I ordered some sets and they never arrived. And then, to make matters worse, SwapaDVD froze my account and took my money and credits. They said they had the right to do so, and it was in the fine print that I agreed to. But what about my rights as a customer? I got nothing in return for my hard-earned money and credits.
And if that wasn't bad enough, half of the DVDs I did receive were damaged. They still worked, but they were damaged nonetheless. So not only did I lose out on my credits and money, but I also got a bunch of damaged DVDs.
I'm out 24 credits and over 100 bucks in shipping costs. That's a lot of money to lose for nothing in return. SwapaDVD is a bad site, and they don't care about their customers. They're a total rip-off, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
SwapaDVD Review: Good Platform for Swapping DVDs and Books, But Customer Service Needs Improvement
I recently used SwapaDVD to swap some of my old DVDs for new ones. I sent out a package that included a bible audio with 8 audio DVDs, but I only received 2 credits in return. I was a bit confused and decided to email the founder of the site to ask a simple question about why I only received 2 credits for sending out 80 DVDs. However, the next time I tried to log in, I was unable to access my account due to some technical issues.
I was disappointed with this experience, especially since most of the DVDs and books I mailed out were new and I sent them out the same or next day. I hope that SwapaDVD can improve their system and provide better customer service in the future. Despite this setback, I still think that SwapaDVD is a good platform for swapping DVDs and books with other users. It's a great way to save money and get rid of old items that you no longer need.
Overall, I would recommend SwapaDVD to anyone who is looking for a simple and easy way to swap DVDs and books online. However, be aware that there may be some technical issues and customer service may not always be the best. But if you're willing to take a chance and try it out, you might just find some great new items to add to your collection.
