Eddie Bauer review: Outlet store - Folsom, CA

Hello my name is Sherri Dill. My mother, father and I have been shopping your stores for over 20 years combined. Last year around Oct. I was Christmas shopping and when I went to the register, I was told they could not use my Eddie Bauer Card because it had no chip, and that they couldn't type in the number along with the reward points wouldn't load as well. I went to pay cash and was told on that day that the system wasn't even allowing cash transactions. I thought oh that was a fluke. Well, it wasn't for the past six months every time I attempt to use my card, I am told I can't because of your system not excepting your own credit card. One of your clerks tried to tell me I needed to order a new card, and when I did, I would receive one with a chip that would work. Ordered the new card, it came no chip and still couldn't be used in your own store. I know we are not the only ones this is happening to. I understand that there are upgrades and new systems, but this is ridiculous. We literally walked out of your store on Friday not purchasing anything because of this situation.

The part that sucks is I love your products and the outlet store is the 15 to me. Your other store is over 40 min away for me. I don't want to stop shopping with your company, but I can't see why I would continue go to your store that will not even let me use said credit card.

Maybe you have no idea that this has been happening. Maybe you haven't noticed a drop in sales? I am not sure but as a customer it is becoming harder and harder to support a company that isn't supporting it self, its sales force and their customers.
