Extended warranty
I paid nearly $4000 for extended warranty on my Ram 3500. It has blown a head gasket and EFG refused the claim. They took a full week to tell me the repair was not covered because my engine had an unauthorized module on it to improve fuel mileage. They said that was covered in my contract which I never received. I had to look up the contract that I didn’t sign on their site. EFG company is a rip-off. You should not get the extended warranty from them.
Desired outcome: I want the entire amount of $4000 back because I have to pay for a rental and the repair.
Service warranty
I purchased a 2011 Mazda 3 vehicle at my local Subaru dealership and bought the gold coverage from EFG. Purchased 9/14/2020 for 2397.00 for 48 months. Had to get a oil change and technician said I needed transmission oil pan ASAP. Brought car to garage & he ordered part and I showed that garage my contract and he said it’s covered. Part came in & EFG said...

car extended warranty
I purchased an extended warranty in August 2018. I filed my first claim on 11/21/2019. I received a call from an EFG representative telling me that the third party vendor that sold me the warranty should have never sold it to me due to Carfax report they pulled that showed insurance company reporting that my car was totaled in 2016. I explained to the representative that there was a massive hail storm in San Antonio, TX that year and that car received major cosmetic damage to exterior only. EFG representative said EFG was going to cancel my warranty and deny my warranty claim and that I would have to contact the third party that sold me the warranty for a refund. I asked the representative 1) why I was just being told this now after having paid almost $1, 200 in monthly premiums and 2) why the fact that I was sold the policy when I should not have been (per the EFG rep) a problem I had to deal with. I spoke to JR Auto Protect who sold me the policy and told them what EFG was telling me and the representative couldn't believe what I was being told. I told the representative that per EFG I would need to get a full refund from JR Auto Protect. The representative said he would call EFG and that it would take 6-8 weeks to process a refund. The bottom line is 1) I have a $1, 500 claim that EFG is denying; 2) per EFG they are cancelling the warranty; 3)I have a $1, 200 refund due from JR Auto Protect per EFG that I am not sure I will ever receive. HELP!
advertising/robocalls
In late March, early April I started receiving illegal robocalls from a marketing company connected to EFG Companies. After writing to complain I was contacted by Scott Knapp. Careful, this guy has been with the company 10 years and he is a very smooth liar. He will pretend to be concerned and will ask for detailed info so that he can "investigate". Don't let him fool you, no amount of info sent will satisfy him Scott Knapp and the President John Pappanastos both know that the 3rd party companies they use for marketing purposes use illegal Robocall methods. They understand quite well that these marketing companies are not calling potential customers back one call at a time.
Since these illegal Robocalls are bringing in so much money to EFG Companies the only way to get their attention is through lawsuits. Individual suits are great, but it will probably take a million dollar class action lawsuit to make Mr. Pappanastos stop. Again, don't waste anytime talking to Scott Knapp, he could of been a great Hollywood actor the way he "pretends" to be concerned about this Robocall issue. He's making a huge yearly salary to lie and deceive.
If you do have the unpleasant experience of talking to Mr. Knapp ask him for the name and addresses of all the companies that market on behalf of EFG. He won't give out that info. Of course, he has to protect his shady marketing companies.
Extended Auto Warranty Scam
This company provides an extended auto service warranty that is extremely ambiguous and is structured in such a way that you dont end up getting any claims approved. They sell the contract by mentioning a list of parts that are covered, and do not mention anything about the vehicle parts that are not covered. The list of parts that are covered are written in broad terms that make it seem like everything is covered.
In reality the more expensive parts end up not being covered. When you file a claim for repairs they just casually tell you that the part that needs to be replaced is not covered becaue it is not listed in the contract. It is extremely misleading and not at all worth the money paid upfront to purchace the warranty.
In my case I paid 2000$ to get "platinum" coverage for a 2007 bmw 335i. They refused to cover the oil filter housing gasket, and GWS gear shift module + programming which both cost me another 2000$.
Please never purchase anything from this company.

Extended Warranty Scam
Attempted Scam. Three days ago another representative of Enterprise Financial Group, Inc (EFG) called me (I'm on the don't call list) with their usual extended warranty scam. He tried to sell me what he claimed was an extended warranty that was every bit as good as the factory warranty for my ten year old vehicle. He wouldn't show it to me and demanded that...

On January 26 2010 I purchased a vehicle service agreement from EFG Companies. I agreed to pay a deposit of $160 and agreed to pay the balance by monthly installment. I was given 30 days to review and/or cancel the contract for a full refund minus $25 processing fees. On February 23, I contacted the company and notified them that I wanted to cancel the...
