Unprofessional and Dishonest: My Experience with eSky.ie
My experience with eSky.ie was quite unfortunately a very unpleasant one. As a senior traveler online purchasing my ticket (order number [protected]) from Yangon Myanmar to Bangkok, I had expected some level of professionalism from this Agency. However, eSky proved to be a low-class agency with no shame at all.
Issues arose with my next flight from Bangkok, and I requested that my flight with eSky be cancelled. Unfortunately, no one responded to my request, and I was left in the lurch. It was only the night before my flight that I received a message from eSky informing me of the flight's cancellation. This left me with a sour taste in my mouth, as it was clear that eSky was not honest and was taking advantage of seniors and anyone else who trusted them.
What made the whole situation even worse was that I had already purchased insurance for cancellation of the ticket. The airline had canceled the flight before its departure, which meant that a refund should have been made automatically, regardless of whether I had the insurance or not. To add insult to injury, eSky asked for another $18 charge on my credit card within just a six-hour time limit to process the cancellation.
All of this was simply awful and disgusting. The level of dishonesty and disrespect from eSky was beyond what I could have imagined. It was clear that they had no intention of refunding my ticket and were outright ignoring my requests for one.
While the total amount of my ticket may not be something I will cry about, I am determined to take every step possible at any cost to expose this matter and the dishonesty of eSky. Appalling Customer Service & Delayed Refunds: My Experience with ESky.ie
I must say that my experience with ESky.ie (esky.ie) was simply dreadful. I booked my flight with them in January, months before my trip scheduled to happen in July. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, my flights were cancelled, and I was awaiting a refund. However, it has been months since then, and I am still waiting!
To make matters worse, I was contacted by someone from their company asking me to fill an insurance refund form, which had to be returned by the day of my flight. I promptly did so, but I haven't heard back from them since. It's been over four weeks now, and despite the promise that it would take four weeks, I still haven't received my refund. And to make things even more frustrating, they mentioned that they'd only be returning €480 out of the €540 that they owe me.
Their customer service is simply appalling. I have tried every means possible to contact them but have received a standard automated response on every attempt. I have filled out the online contact form multiple times, sent them Facebook messages, and commented on their Facebook posts, but all I have received so far is just an automated response, which is very frustrating.
It's surprising how a company as big as ESky.ie is showing such disregard for their customers. It's high time they made sincere efforts to keep their customers happy if they want to stay in business.
If anyone knows who I can complain to, who could help in all our cases, or who ESky.ie is regulated by, or any Ombudsman who will be able to help, please reach out to me. It would be greatly appreciated.

I chased them up again on Jan 12th and Jan 30th but the response remained the same. By this point, I was beyond frustrated with the lack of communication and transparency from Esky. I decided to contact Eastern Airlines on March 1st, and they told me that they usually process and refund the money within 28 days of receiving a refund request. I contacted Esky again, requesting proof that they had applied for the refund, but they refused to provide me with any documentation. They simply stated that the refund process is being held in the global system and such documentation cannot be provided.
This excuse did not sit well with me. To my mind, if the refund application was submitted to Eastern by Esky in late October, it should have been paid to Esky around late November / early October. Based on these timelines, it appears that Esky already has the refund and is simply not sending the money to me. I find it hard to believe that the refund is still being held up due to the pandemic, especially when we are thirteen weeks down the line now.
I want to make it clear that despite threats from Esky, nothing in this review infringes on their interests and personal rights or violates their brand’s reputation. My experience with Esky has been extremely disappointing, and I urge them to refund my money as soon as possible and let us both move on from this frustrating situation. Now, I'm stuck with flights to London and accommodations in Lanzarote. I feel frustrated and let down as I tried to cancel the booking, was told no, then told yes, but the system was down. Later, I was told the change was carried out, only to find out over the phone that it wasn't because the email arrived after their business hours ended. When I tried to rebook with Ryanair, I found that they couldn't help me because they didn't have access to my payment card details or email address. To add salt to the wound, I'm now down €1000 because of accommodation bookings I couldn't change, and ESky.ie is washing their hands of any responsibility.

However, the tickets that I ordered two weeks earlier from eSky.ie had still not been completed and I was still trying to correspond with them without any success.
The website of eSky.ie is as bad as their customer service. After I paid for my flight tickets and created an account to manage the reservations, the site did not show any reservations. Now, I find it impossible to contact customer service to solve any technical issues. Even until today, two weeks after payment, I have no way of viewing and making changes to my order.
Since I booked my tickets during the Corona period, I added money for all the possible coverages they offer, including extra money to rename my tickets. However, when there was a name mistake, they claimed that the name change cover did not cover my specific case. As a result, I received a request for an additional payment of 115 euros, while the plane ticket only cost 73 euros. Correspondence with them took so long that all the tickets were already sold out, otherwise, I would have booked another flight ticket.
Trying to reach eSky's customer service is a nightmare. They do not post any email addresses on the internet that can be contacted. They do not have any chat service, and it is even impossible to send a reply to an email you receive from eSky. The only way to contact eSky is via a Resolver site that serves many other companies. Unfortunately, by the time you receive a response from them, you might already miss your flight.
Once you manage to get in touch with eSky's customer service, they NEVER, NEVER, NEVER help. You can write whatever you want, but most of the time, you will get an auto-reply from a robot. It is the only travel agent that doesn't let you choose your seats. You don't get a map of seats like all other sites, you don't know what the price is for each seat, and you have no idea what seat is still free. You need to write what seats you want, such as a seat near the window, and hope that they will oblige.
In conclusion, I would not recommend eSky.ie to anyone. Their poor service and lack of customer support have left me feeling extremely disappointed, and they are certainly not worth the money I paid for their services.

No response came beyond the automatic message notifying me that they had received my email and a consultant was working on my request. I tried on various devices, and the fields were unclickable, making me think that they could have blocked me or set a limit on the number of messages a customer could send. I booked a flight from Santiago to Puerto Natales on 9/10 and used esky for a fully refundable flight with insurance. They would not give me seats after I purchased the flight and told me I could get them at check in in emails ( obviously they were sorry - but according to them all the airline's fault as they would not let them select seats- not esky's of course). I paid the higher fare for refundable tickets and purchased insurance. I tried to cancel after the seat debacle in April when I purchased the flight 5 months before the trip- they told me I could not because of "airfare rules". When I tried again to cancel the day of the trip as my husband was diagnosed with COVID while the flight was in the air they said - oh they could not possibly do that as the insurance expired the day the trip left- which is ridiculous. Anyways there you have it. I would never book anything from then from a bus ride to a flight with this poor of customer service. Beware

DO NOT USE eSky. Booked flight from Naples Italy to Barcelona. Then a flight on Ryan Air for Barcelona to London. The web site accepted my date of travel, then booked me for a DIFFERENT date. When I called to correct, they said the date I requested was not available and denied changing it. I booked directly with Ryan and there were over 60 available seats for my flight. eSky refused changing except to a date that did not work and then no refund, fought my credit card about it and I was out the money. DO NOT USE THEM. I truly believe they scammed me.

Worst possible customer service
Beware of this travel site. We accidentally landed on this travel site when we googled Breeze Airways. Did not even realize what we had done until it was too late. The flight was booked on June 9th for a departure on June 11th. We realized within 1 hour we booked the wrong dates. Immediately called the customer service line and was on hold for a very long time. Finally got a person who eventually hung up. Emailed the customer service asking for a date change. Never received a email back. Now that the date of the flight has passed there is nothing to be done. We are out over $500.
This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. When I contacted Breeze to see if they could help they said they could have if we had contacted them before the departure date. I only wish that is what we had done.

The web site changed the date of my departure. Their "IT" department is saying I changed it. I did not.
The flight they said Ryan Air did not have avialable on that date I originally purchased DID in fact have over 60 available seats. (I paid Ryan directly and got on the flight I needed) After several phone calls to eSky to change, (agreeing to $79 change fee), they could not get me on the flight, saying it was full (which it was not) & did not have a solution. CHARGED ME FULL for both legs of travel which I was unable to use. SCAMMERS,do not use them. I have verifications but they are in pdf and cannot load to this review,. My flight dates were to Barcelona on the 4/27 then from Barcelona to London on May1st. I had concert tickets to a show in Barcelona on 4/29.They booked me out to London on 4/28. I KNOW I did not use that date anywhere. LIARS and untrustworthy to do business.

In fairness, I should say that if you don't need to make any changes to your flight, you might find that esky.ie's service is adequate. However, why anyone would intentionally book through esky.ie instead of dealing directly with the airline is completely beyond me. Not only do you end up paying extra for the privilege of using their service, but you also lose the option of canceling your flight. All things considered, I would highly recommend finding an alternative booking service that offers more transparency and better value for your money.
