On Dec 9, at around 10:10 PM I went and pump gas in 80 Colborne St West, Brantford. It was in the time they switched to prepaid. But I had already paid in store a few minutes before. I went out to pump gas in my car, but it didn't let me. So I went in store again. There was this Asian lady who seemed to be so confused. She kept figuring it out on the screen and never looked at it. After 10 minutes, she asked me to pay again. I said I did. But she argued with me that I didn't pay. I had to explain to her about the prepaid thing in her store at 10 PM each day. I worked at Shell. So I know how this works. She threatened to call the cop on me. I asked her to check the cameras.
With that being said, this lady later told me she only worked 2 evening shifts. Mostly she worked morning shifts.
I don't care what shift she works, she is not good at customer service and very unprofessional.

A man with a black baton chased me out of the store after I went inside carrying a couple plastic bottles most of which were already empty in my plastic bag. Asked if I had cash, I said I did and I was walking around the store a bit as he asked. Got told to leave and did, and the man held a black baton towards me. He then told me to go home and go away even after stepping off the property, as though he owned the whole street or something. I felt very much abused there. September 6, little after 3:30am there when it occurred. Expected resolution is to make sure this does not happen to future customers at that specific location hopefully. I would even jokingly say I want a bottle of diet dr. Pepper if a request is what it takes to get this matter addressed. I won't be shopping there again, and I am just really frustrated at the moment. Was too caught off guard to obtain further information. This is seriously the worst that anyone in a store has ever treated me before and it's definitely not okay to let this continue.

I live in the neighborhood of the esso gas station, so I usually go there to support their business. My family And I go there to pump gas, purchase cigarettes and grocery, and beverages multiple times during the days. My oldest daughter loves Mr Sub and the coffee their tastes better than next door's Tim Horton. But the gas side service is horrible. Staffs are always looking at the phone or talking on the phone and ignore customers. No wonder my friends all go for the Husky across the street or Petrol, or other Esso gas stations to receive better service. This morning I went in store to pay for gas and getting some other store items. There was this guy I always saw working in the morning. He didn't even say hi to me! I thought it's important to acknowledge your customers. He was flirting and touching this Asian lady's face. Okay, I know you are bored at work but should you bring your girlfriend to work and be affectionate with her in front of every body. He was holding her hands. It was so inappropriate in a workplace. I know it's not a corporate or formal office, but you are still working. I wonder where the owner or at least manager is? They should monitor their staff, or else they will lose all customers. When I asked for manager's information, the guy that works there said blankly, I'm the manager mam. I couldn't believe it and just walk off.
What a terrible place!
