Dear Esso Customer Service,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the security measures and customer service at the Esso gas station on Île des Soeurs.
I must commend you for resolving a previous complaint I made regarding the refusal of the attendant to bring the card terminal to my vehicle for payment.
However, it appears that the issue has resurfaced. Today, at 4:55 PM, I was informed by the attendant that the card terminal was non-operational, and I would be required to exit my vehicle and physically go to the station's booth, where the non-portable terminal is located, to input my payment information.
While I usually appreciate the convenience of the pump service due to physical limitations, I reluctantly handed my card to the attendant because he showed me that the terminal was indeed malfunctioning.
In this age of heightened security concerns, as well as a growing emphasis on health and safety, it is simply unacceptable to ask customers to relinquish their credit cards or allow them to leave their sight, even temporarily. The risk of potential credit card cloning or unauthorized use is far too great to be ignored.
I understand that the Esso station on Île des Sœurs holds a near-monopoly in the area, but this does not excuse compromising on security or customer safety. As the sole provider on the island, Esso has a responsibility to ensure that customers can complete their transactions in a secure and convenient manner.
I am writing to insist that you urgently address this situation. It is imperative that Esso implements an alternative, secure method for customers to make payments, especially in cases when the card terminal is not functioning. This could involve deploying portable card terminals or other innovative solutions to ensure that customers are not inconvenienced or exposed to unnecessary security risks.
I believe I speak not only for myself but also for the safety and convenience of all customers who rely on Esso on Île des Sœurs. I implore you to take immediate action to rectify this situation and to prevent any future instances that compromise customer security and health.
I look forward to a prompt and meaningful response detailing the steps Esso intends to take to rectify this issue. Rest assured, I will be closely monitoring the situation and eagerly await a resolution that prioritizes customer well-being.
Yours sincerely,

Desired outcome: I want to be able to pay with the terminal brought to my car without having to leave my credit card to the attendant out of my sight
