The ad I saw made it look like you could record any sound and match it with any picture to make a funny dance - this is NOT the case. You can use any picture you want but all of the sounds are prerecorded - you have to use theirs and cannot create your own. The worst part of this is the sounds they offer are incredibly dumb and weird. I would never use 90% of them in a million years. It’s like they looked for the worst, least viewed TikTok videos ever and used them to make sounds. As if that wasn’t bad enough you have to watch an ad to make a dance or pay $5 a WEEK! Anyone who would pay $20 a month for this crappy app is insane, lol. Deleted.

Once I click on the app it will tell me to “let’s start” I click on it and it ask me to either take a photo or choose a photo, I choose a photo then the screen goes black and freezes, I waited a good 10 minutes to see if something will happen, but nothing did, I uninstalled and re downloaded it and still same thing I even restarted my phone thinking it’s my phone, I turned off my Wi-Fi and used my data to see if it was my Wi-Fi but no, my first time opening it did ask me if I wanted to do the 3 day trial so I did now I can’t even try it, I will be canceling the subscription I don’t want to start paying after the 3 days for an app that won’t let me use it.

If I could rate this app lower I would. I deleted it the first day of my free trial. Now it seems like it’s going to give me a problem deleting it. I wouldn’t recommend it! I don’t like it, I don’t want it, and I can promise you I’m not going to pay for it! I deleted your app on November 23rd 2022. Later I received a weird email from this app about how I subscribed to it. The email didn’t make any sense. So, I’m posting this in the reviews so all reading can witness. On this day November 24th 2022 I do not wish to continue with my subscription with Face Dance. Now do what you have to do to remove me. I did what I needed to do through my settings on my IPad.

Absolute worst app purchase I’ve ever made. It’s a good idea and I tried to trial a few times before making a purchase. The quality was terrible on the trial but I was promised better quality buying the app. I was presented with two choices one week at like six bucks or lifetime for 40. I didn’t want to waste the money buying just the week if it was gonna be good. Man was I mistaken.Quality is still terrible customer service is even worse. It’s been over a month and still no reply I’ve emailed several times. I just want my money back but that seems that will never happen because no one seems to work for this company. Save your money because this app is not worth it!

I tried the app and didn’t like it, I tried to cancel my free trial and it wouldn’t let me. It says to cancel at least one day before your free trial is up. I’ve been trying to send emails but they won’t respond to my emails. I’ve tried to email apple support but it says I have to wait until the purchase goes thru. There’s no unsubscribe button so I can’t unsubscribe. If they charge my account they probably won’t refund my money either and they will probably continue to charge me every month. I’ve sent 3 emails. This is a poor excuse and a joke a big rip off and on some of the videos the words don’t match the mouth movements. I wouldn’t even give this a star but I had too give it something.

So one day I was just playing my games and then I saw an ad pop up and then another day popped up again and again and again so I decided to go download the app a few days later what was today first I know this is like most games and the games were actually good but it keeps on it keeps on showing like please become a star member please become a star member not really star member but something else and then since I didn’t wanna pay for the thingthingamajig I decided to go with the ad thing but then the thing the screen started blurring then I just deleted the app and started looking for other peoples review and they had the same thing Please if you’re not gonna become a member don’t download the app

first off, i had this app maybe 6 months ago or around there. it worked perfectly and it didn’t try to force you to subscribe to their subscription and give them money. now though it pops up after you download the app and tries to force you to get it. after i almost accidentally spent money on this, i exited out and tried to use a photo and then it gave me an ad before i could do it. when i had this app a while ago, there was no ads and they especially didn’t force you to watch them. i watched the ad and then sat there for about 5 minutes while it said it was creating the face dance or something along those lines. it never created it and i think it was just an infinite loading screen. horrible app now, i recommend downloading another one as these guys are simply going for the money grab.

I saw an ad for this on Tik Tok. Keep in mind the commercials they are running on TT have 80’s and 90’s songs in the vids. (“What is Love?” Caught my attention) I was impressed as that’s all copyrighted stuff. So I download it and lo and behold none of the songs in the ads are on it. In fact the library is very limited with a lot of useless meme nonsense. While the animation is good I couldn’t find a decent song to work with it as I was already disappointed they were false advertising the songs in the ads. Even if it’s free don’t waste your time. I can see doing this once maybe twice then the novelty wears off fast.
Essentially it’s backed by a huge false marketing campaign and looks like they ballot stuffed reviews with five stars. However if you go in and read them you’ll find a lot of disappointed legitimate reviews all stating the same thing

Tried several different songs, skits. All resulted with blurred mouth, you couldn’t even tell I was talking/singing. Just blurry around the mouth area and looked so terrible. I tried with several pictures. All full HD quality photos. All resulted in a blurry mess. Just unusable and not like they show. They show it’s clean crisp results with visible mouth and teeth. The results are nothing like this. Just advertising those nice results so you will download the app to try to get you to buy and maybe watch a few ads during the process so they make a buck or two. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME.

UPDATED. The developer stated the update fixed the poor quality results however my review was on the new updated version. Results are NOT AS ADVERTISED. STAND BY MY ORIGINAL REVIEW. Do not waste your time. See the other reviews. I am not the only one saying it’s awful.

This was a pleasure to discover (even if it did interrupt the game I was playing originally) but I was quite disappointed with the outcome. When got in to the app, it looked very promising. The first thing I noticed is that it takes a while to load into the Home Screen, about 30 seconds. Though of course, that probably matters on the type of device you’re using. Then i was on the Home Screen there was a button that said “get started”. When I clicked it it gave me a pop up asking for permission to my photos so it could make them sing and dance of course. So I said allow. When I picked a photo and went with it, it was just a black screen for a really really long time. I never got out of the screen until the app itself kicked me out. So I don’t think you should waste your time downloading this app. It’s annoying, raging, laggy, glitchy, and daft. As fun as it looked, I was very disappointed. Thanks for reading

The app, itself is fun but that’s entirely overshadowed by the subscription plan/model of this Developer; which caused me to immediately delete the app.

God help the naive or “too busy to pay attention” to the Trial period that will expire in 3 Days which WILL THEN DEFAULT TO $5 PER WEEK! Yes, you read that right…$250 PER YEAR.

Of course, they have a $6.50/mo and $30/yr plan if you’re on top of things, and succumb to the pressure of not paying 3 times the yearly sub amount if you choose a monthly plan.

This just has become my peeve and, frankly feel there should be more restrictions on this type of subscription marketing. This developer isn’t the only one, and thankfully, Apple has made the email follow up notification fairly easy enough to thwart being duped into a fee that you’ll resent.

Perhaps…IF the default was the Annual Sub, I’d be a bit more tolerant of the ridiculous weekly price; but that’s not how it is.

I am setting up App reviews for a ….. .. I was excited to try this one out from my list but it is not even working correctly to be able to give a thorough review. I tried to choose from a few options but they did not show up on the main screen . The only thing I have to go on is the small pic Ex. From the faces + songs I chose which gave no sound so I only saw pics in movement and not even from the one I chose. Going off of that, I was surprised that the developers don’t give an option to line up the eyes + mouth From your photo that you choose so that the outcome isn’t distorted .I was also surprised that there were a lot more male voices+ songs than female, and your really missing the cute baby voices or adorable chipmunk/ character voices . Also I would submit that if you lessen your yearly
Buy to even $20.00 per year, you would gain a lot more enrollments .Great Idea, but think about making a few changes

Hi, so I really like how you can take any photo or selfie and make it sing or talk or dance, but I have some sort of blurred image problem.. Whenever I finish watching an ad to see how the video turned out, it was blurry. It used to be fine back then (not to say anything negative or rude) But after I downloaded it after getting rid of my old phone to get a new one, I added the photos and started to do some videos, they didn’t turn out good (I’m sorry if I’m wrong but it happens every single time, not to be rude but I can’t get one video that isn't blurry. Once again, I’m sorry if I was rude.. I just don’t enjoy it like I used to.. All of the videos I made were always blurred and it didn’t look funny as it used to, to the people reading this. I thank you for taking the time to read this review, I really hope this gets fixed. And no, I didn’t subscribe and I’m glad I didn’t. my brother has been sending me the best videos using old family photos brought to life with incredible lip-synch and face and head animations. I laughed for hours and hours and couldn’t wait to make my own videos with pictures of my friends and family. I’m way funnier than my brother and I know I would’ve come up with way better pictures to use. Found this app and it’s the first one that pops up with the most reviews and is highly rated so of course this is going to be as good or better than whatever he’s using right?

Just downloaded this app and within two minutes I was completely disappointed and felt ripped off because I was tricked into paying to see if maybe downloading a different picture would give better results. Paid a bunch of money just to try one more picture and immediately discovered that this app is awful, unrealistic looking, not fun one bit. I don’t know why there are so many good reviews on here but there are way way way better apps out there if you’re looking for bringing all pictures to life with face animation and lip-synchs.
Tried leaving a more detailed review but halfway through it erased my review and I had to start over so I’m just going to push send and hope this makes it through. Do not waste your time or money!

They have gotten rid of the option to try the app for free. You have to do a three day trial after which they will charge you. I wanted to see how the app worked before I have anything that will charge me. I am not interested in such apps. I’m going to delete it

This is a cool idea, poorly executed. It’s nothing like the demos - and any picture you take makes a video that looks like you’re having a seizure to the beat of a song. Eyes go in different directions, unhinged jaws flapping, and backgrounds horribly distorted and torn.

You only get a 3 day free trial, be sure to cancel, as I’m sure you’ll want to. They lure you in with clear and well edited animations, and what it actually does is nowhere near that. They are distorted, and monstrous looking. Waste of time and money (if you don’t cancel).

I’m sorry, but this is ridiculous, false advertising and… just… *ich*… I saw the Quaker Oats Weller ad, and wanted that for myself, but I can’t even search for it! If pro is required, then that’s not gonna happen, for obvious reasons…. Quality should be there from the start….

I enjoy making my friends look funny to songs on the app, the only problem I have is when I go to create a new face dance it won’t load my ad and keeps me on the page to moon walk. And more often then not when I’m creating a face dance it crashes my iPhone and I have to turn it back on.

It’s stated right in the description “free to try”. But only with a paid subscription, which obviously makes it not free at all. That alone made me delete the app a few minutes after uploading it. Maybe it would be better stated to put “free to up/download” and save people the trouble.

The app absolutely destroys the resolution and color quality of the image. I was hoping the new update would fix that but it just made it worse. Any new images are blue and super pixelated

It’s a fun distraction app for about 15 seconds, which ironically is how long they make you wait to see every photo. Seriously, 15 seconds. Unless you want to spend 4 dollars a week to do it ad-free. High price pay for such a low-brow distraction. Good news is it took me way less than 15 seconds to delete it.

Tried this app to do a few nostalgia videos but it is definitely not like the My Heritage app. It does weird things to people’s faces such as making lips huge and their eyes get really big when turning their heads. Not a fan if this aspect if the app. If you are buying to make GIFs then it is probably really fun.

It won’t let me cancel! Stay away! Trying to click on their “Support ” icon to cancel subscription, and wouldn’t you know, it doesn’t work! They have you trapped! Do not sign up for the free trial because they’ll give you headaches and take your money, then maybe they’ll let you cancel? Who knows. Very poor. Bait and switch!

If I could give negative stars, I would do so. It said a three day free trial that renewed at 19.99 per year if you did not cancel. I canceled less than 10 mins after subscription and got charged the full 19.99 per year. Now I have a year subscription to this useless app that I just wanted to try out and there is no contact info for the developers (big surprise). Deception is not a good business practice.

I like the general idea of this app but there are multiple things that need to be tweaked and or changed in general in order to create what we’re actually trying to create which is a photo that dances to the music not a photo that looks like it’s lip-synching the wrong words.
It’s just very laggy, the mouth look very weird maybe they could make it look more natural considering a lot of people take pictures with their teeth showing it just looks kind of off.

OK so I seen an ad for this app hooked on it and saw that it was a app that you had to pay in order to do anything. That’s fine I was willing to try it so you had two options to either pay for I think it was a week or three days for five dollars and some change or something other about a year for 20 something dollars. I agreed to the five dollars and some change to try it first yeah they took $11.24 out of my account. How can they quote one price yet charge a totally different when they did not have permission to take that amount

Even with the Pro Subscription and a high quality photo the result is terrible. The image gets blurred. The mouth is often placed in the wrong spot. The music ones are the worse as it looks like they use some photo editing functions like zoom and swirl to make your character move and it looks a mess. The ones that don’t move as much are better.
In the Pro section at this writing there are just 47 to choose from. Supposedly they are HD quality but result looks low quality.

It’s a really fun idea. Hopefully this company will step up their game and release great quality results.
Thank goodness for a few days free pro trial offers.
