I have been installing low energy recessed ceiling lights (spot type) on an attrition basis for a few years. It appears that light manufactured by Feit Electric (bought at Home Depot) have a very short life... Lately, I have been collecting the failed bulbs and they continue to fail while original, incandescent bulbs are still operating... they are supposed to have longer life, not shorter.
It seems that low energy bulbs supplied by other manufacturers (I will not buy any more Feit bulbs) are lasting longer, but time will tell.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Purchased three Fiet T460WG9LED bulbs 6 months prior to this post.
One blew in a day, the rest stayed strong.
I re-purchased one more T460WG9LED on 2-6-22 and today of this post the same bulb blew again.
Voltage is strong at 120v and steady. Going to try one more time then I’m done with Fiet bulbs, they should not be blowing like this over and over.
Omg! My Feit bulb began to flicker and the next thing I new I was smelling a strang burning smell. I checked everywhere in the house and went back to the laundry room where this bulb was located and saw smoke coming out of the bulb. I immediately shut off the light took the bulb out and it was burned! This is terrible! Purchased them at Home Depot.
Looking for help I mistakenly went to their website = which does NOT work.
I purchased 2 boxes of 4 bulbs which stated it lasts up to 9 years. I paid $20 per box. I absolutely love the light it gives off. Its been only 3 weeks and I have already incurred 3 burnt bulbs. These bulbs were placed in the guest bathroom. They do not get very much usage.
