I got a contract with Fence Direct for a fence install since June 12th
I got a contract with Fence Direct for a fence install since June 12th. We agreed on the contract that the install will be done in 8-12 weeks cuz of Covid delays. I've called a bunch of times to the office in Orlando FL, they say they dunno when my fence gonna be installed and they transferred me to the General manager who ignores my emails and calls. It's been like 20 weeks already and they haven't called me to schedule the install. I'm really worried 'bout this situation and I'm scared it might be happening to other folks too. I paid $1000 upfront and the total install cost is $3000.
They didn't respect anything in the contract
They didn't respect anything in the contract. I gave them all the paperwork from the beginning, but they didn't respect the contract. I also paid them in advance, as required, to install the fence. Normally, it takes 4 to 6 weeks, maximum 8 weeks, but they didn't reach out to me during this time. After 6 weeks, they called and asked me to wait 2 more weeks. I agreed, but after 3 weeks passed, they still hadn't called about installing the fence. So, I called them back, and they had the nerve to make me wait 2 more weeks. I don't trust this company anymore. I asked for a refund, but they said I have to pay a cancellation fee. It's not my fault that they didn't keep their end of the bargain and respect the contract.
On September 1, I signed a contract with Fence Direct, Inc
On September 1, I signed a contract with Fence Direct, Inc. to buy and install a PVC fence. They installed the fence on October 29, but the job wasn't finished because they brought the wrong post top caps. The right caps didn't arrive until three months later, on January 31, 2022. I asked for a small discount of 10% ($228) for the delays, but they said no. They warned that if I didn't pay the full amount within 8 days, they would add a 2% finance charge per month or even put a lien on my property. It's unbelievable that they won't give us a discount for all those months of waiting, but heaven forbid we don't pay them in a week or two. I don't remember ever getting a contract about late fees. We deserve that $228 discount.

We sold our house at *** but found out there was an open permit for a fence permit from Fence Direct in 2015
We sold our house at *** but found out there was an open permit for a fence permit from Fence Direct in 2015. They never closed the permit even though they were provided with a certified survey that they used to open the permit that was certified from our builder when the house was rebuilt after a fire in 2010. We were unaware of this - they were paid in full. County will not close permit as fence was installed on neighbors property despite having a survey. The realtor has attempted to resolve the issue - Daniel the manager refuses to be accountable and is trying to blame the permit not being closed on us (owners of house). We have documentation showing how difficult it has been to communicate with that company. Now they want us to pay for a new permit and to remove the landscaping and reinstall the fence when the county states it is the contractors responsibility who opened the permit to close it.
We bought vinyl privacy fencing from Fence Direct on 3/1
We bought vinyl privacy fencing from Fence Direct on 3/1. We've been pretty happy with it, but last month we noticed some cracks near the gate posts. We thought it might be a "manufacturing mistake" covered by the Limited Lifetime Warranty they mentioned when we bought it. I contacted Fence Direct and talked to a guy named Bradley. He said they don't cover storm damage and don't actually offer a Lifetime Warranty. I told him it wasn't storm damage and asked for someone to come and check it out. I even had their own paperwork that mentioned the Lifetime Warranty. Instead of sending someone, they told me to email them pictures of the fence and the warranty stuff. I sent it all on 7/14 to Rep Nayeli M. I've emailed and called them, but they haven't responded at all.
I hired Fence Direct to put up a 6' vinyl fence around our backyard on 2/8
I hired Fence Direct to put up a 6' vinyl fence around our backyard on 2/8. The permit was given. The Home Owners Association in our neighborhood wants all fence panels to be level and any changes in the ground to be matched with a "step-up, step-down" setup. These things were mentioned in the contract, the HOA application, and the permit application. On the first day of installation, April 6, I told the crew about this, but they didn't follow the requirements. I let the sales representative know on April 6th. I called Carmen, at [protected], on April 8th to explain the requirements again. The installers were here for three more days, and each day I reminded them about the requirements, but they still didn't follow them. Fence Direct said the job was done. On April 23rd, I contacted them again about the problems. They admitted to the mistakes multiple times, but they haven't fixed anything yet. They only got a partial payment.
I bought a fence from Fence Direct, Inc
I bought a fence from Fence Direct, Inc. two years ago. The fence was put up wrong, and within a year, it started warping. They used different materials, so now my vinyl fence looks different in two places. They said they were short-staffed because of COVID and didn't communicate much with me. They told me they couldn't fix it, and I have to keep two types of vinyl fencing. I trusted this company, but they're dishonest. I want my fence fixed and installed correctly. Every time I called, they said the person I spoke to before doesn't work there anymore. They never returned my calls. When they tried to fix some of the railings, they only agreed to fix some of them and said they would order what they didn't have, but nothing happened. I've been waiting for almost a year, and they still haven't responded. I'm still paying for this, and it's not fair. They're not professional, they don't keep their promises, and I want others to be careful. They're scammers. Please help me fix my fence.
Fence Direct came to my house to install the fence, but they left big gaps between the gates
Fence Direct came to my house to install the fence, but they left big gaps between the gates. I called and emailed the office, and the manager, Daniel. He told me he wouldn't fix anything and threatened to put a lien on my house. I took matters into my own hands and fixed two sides of the gates to show them the problem. After that, he said he would send someone with the rails to fix them. But when the guy arrived, instead of fixing the gates, he started arguing with me, saying that I'm just a customer and he's the installer, so I can't tell him what to do. I called the manager again, hoping he would talk to the guy and get the gates fixed. But instead, he told me to either pay for the rails or buy new gates. If I didn't do it by Friday, he threatened to start charging fees and eventually put a lien on my house. They don't make things easy for customers. I even asked for the rails to fix it myself, but he said I had to pay for them. These people are trying to make me upset, and I'm already on a high-risk pregnancy with blood clots.
fence installed wrong - broke sprinkler system The fence got put up on 12/8 - but it was done all wrong
fence installed wrong - broke sprinkler system The fence got put up on 12/8 - but it was done all wrong. I specifically told the sales guy, Donald P, that the fence should go around the edge of the house - but it's like 3 feet off. And now, one of the sprinkler heads is on the outside of the fence. The contractor who came over messed up Zone 3 of the sprinkler system in the house. They just chucked the plastic tubes from the sprinkler on the other side of the house (we got pictures to prove it). The picket fence in the back is even sitting on top of the sprinkler system (Zone 3). I even had the contractor who built this house, Bob, come and check it out - he said Fence Direct has to fix it. We've called so many times to talk to someone, and I even sent an email with the complaint and pictures. They've said three times that the contractor will swing by to fix it, but he never bothers to show up or even call to say if he's coming. I'm fed up with trying to reach them - don't know what else to do to get someone from Fence Direct to come and fix these problems. The contractor's name is Aldo C.
They put the fence in and left a big gap that the installers tried to hide
They put the fence in and left a big gap that the installers tried to hide. Our dogs get out and they refuse to fix it. Salesman came out and sold us on the fence. We told him we were getting work done and would probably need to come back and look to make sure fence will work with cement we were having poured. Time came for us to get the fence and he said he didn't need to come out. We now have a big gap in one side that my dogs get out of. The whole reason for the fence was to keep dogs in. They came out and looked at it and tried to fix it by hammering down fence Into ground more and broke a piece on top and covered it with the topper. Our whole gate needs to be moved so there's no gap. When they installed the fence instead of showing us there was a big gap they put a bunch of dirt there to hide the gap and we didn't notice it right away. Later on we did after the dogs got out. They said they will not fix it that it will cost us money for them to come repair the fence. They told us to put more dirt and grass there which is a big extra expense for us because that's going to need quite a lot of dirt to fill in that gap along the fence. The guys that installed our fence not once came to us and told us there was going to be a gap there or that there was a problem to put in the gate on that side that would leave a gap so we had no clue.
Misleading sales practice, poor execution
Misleading sales practice, poor execution. We're having problems with a simple fence extension project. We've given everything on time as requested (deposits, HOA approval, diagrams, etc.) and we're facing delays in execution. We're getting a bit of a run-around and excuses for the project delays. We were told that Winter Garden permitting would take 10 days, but it actually took 29 days for the permit to be requested by FD. Then Winter Garden took 5 days to approve it. When we followed up with FD, they blamed the delay on Winter Garden. We were also told that the locator company couldn't access the neighborhood, even though we provided the gate code on multiple occasions, including with the initial contract. Now the locator service has been rescheduled. We're now being told that there are issues getting the necessary supplies, which will further delay the installation and scheduling. However, the deposit was taken on July 1, giving them plenty of time to get the materials. This timeline goes beyond the most conservative estimate given by the salesman at the time of the contract. We're simply asking for the work to be scheduled more quickly, considering that all the delays so far have been under the control of Fence Direct. When I called the office to discuss this, I was told that there are "no managers" available to talk about the matter. It's now been 6 weeks since we signed the contract, and we're still at the location services stage with no installation date set. We have two sets of excuses lined up to explain any further delays - crew scheduling and supply issues. Please prioritize this installation after the location services on 8/12. The installation could be scheduled for 8/13 based on the project timeline. There's no excuse for a lack of materials to be a problem after 6 weeks, especially when scheduling has been under FD's control this whole time. Wasting most of July on this contract is not the client's problem, nor is it Winter Garden's permitting issue. This is entirely under the control of FD. Please make it right and get this project back on schedule. Thank you.
