The Protea Glen branch manager, Jermina Vilakazi acted so unprofessional by degrading and dehumanizing a client, mocking me in front of the clients as if I am a fool. According to her, she didn't understand why I would go to a branch to ask the branch to verify if an account is active or not.
I explained to her my fears of depositing money into a wrong account. She became emotional and impatient and said she doesn't understand why people bring their problems to the bank. She said it in Zulu thinking perhaps, that I won't hear her.
When I confronted her about her gossiping about me to other clients, instead of apologizing, she was too big- headed and wanted her "position", I suppose to be felt.
She called security guards to remove me and I was banned from entering the bank. That's what the security guys told me. When I wanted to find out the reason, I was told that she said she is not interested to speak to me. I felt so humiliated and disrespected and my right to know being denied. My right to use the bank facilities was also denied.
I'm kindly requesting for help regarding this matter. I now don't know if I should continue using my branch or FNB as whole.
It is with great disappointment for a manager to fail to respond to such a simple and uncomplicated matter by using her head instead of emotions.
I hope that FNB will improve their staff training and ensure that people at managerial positions are well--skilled. The reason for the commotion of calling in the security guards at a branch as if I was a criminal is really baffling my mind.
