First National Bank of Omaha Accidental deduction of two payments vs one.

I'm a older person who keeps track of what I owe people (well rich people). It was like a mafia hit. when I explained that I didn't see or remember making the first payment I immediately under the belief I didn't make the payment sent another one. One day later first payment was deducted. Thinking it was the second payment I made I was relieved and went on with what little time I have left in this world only to find a couple days later my account was hit again. I need that money for my other bills electric, water, gas, etc. I also knew I never met a credit card company I ever liked because of their unfair practices. While I worry about my bills the CEOs, owners all hanging out on a yacht on the Hawaiian Isle. I also knew calling to get my money back was going to be painful an stressful but to my surprise the first person was very cooperative and going to return that extra payment I accidentally made. I thought that was unusual but was happy no stress no mess. When a couple hours later I see the answering machine blinking and looked it was FNBO -- not at all surprised telling me I had to wait 10 days or go to my bank. I went to my bank who said they never heard of a 10 day waiting period but they couldn't do it because I had authorized it. bank would reject it. So 2nd woman from FNBO lied to me but I took a nerve pill and back on phone with FNBO a 3rd time. Same story different gal. I will not forget that 10th day and I pray because of my age and health that someone in that company and other companies little to the public that pays for those yachts - I pray that the people working those phones go without water and electric because of a POLICY - that makes no sense - you took it out in two day - you put it back in two days. remember this my long time creditors people you deal with can be old and dying, they can be young and poor, they could have cancer, a child dying, a parent dying - life is hard enough without the games. You have my money - I want it back today tomorrow or 10 days from now - doesn't matter. it is time Congress took action against credit card companies and their foolishness. hoping I will forget and not ask for the money back in 10 days - then when I call again and I will - what will the excuse be. because I know there is going to be a problem. When I call please don't give me the run around again. I want that money back - and you have no reason to steal it.

Desired outcome: I want the duplicate payment returned to my bank account so I can pay my water bill. (or go to the Bahamas whichever comes first).

First National Bank of Omaha Account closed after acquisition, interest charged, points gone

This bank acquired my account from Bank of America in October. They took over my account before my auto-pay completed, therefore the account transferred to them in a "past due" status so they say, though they have zero access to prior statements or information. I have no notification that they took over the account, no new credit card, no statements, no knowledge of how to log in, etc... When we finally got on the phone to pay the debt I learned that the account has been closed, the interest would not be waived, and I had lost all my points from Bank of America, which were substantial. Of course, I settled the balance to zero (as B of A can attest I did every month for years) and I was also told that no adverse credit reporting would be rescinded. All in all, given the lack of transparency and communication in the transition to me the customer, and my impeccable payment history with Bank of America (which they surely should have access to), all extra measures should have been taken in this case.

Desired outcome: Refund me the extra interest paid, reinstate my account and restore my 400,000 Amtrak points.

First National Bank of Omaha Handling of fraud claim

On October 23 at noon, FNBO took over handling of Amtrak Mastercard. When we received our first bill we were shocked to find almost $10,000 in charges we did not make! I immediately phoned FNBO to report fraud. Both charges were for Airbnb. #1 $4968, # 2 $4996. We have never, ever had dealings with Airbnb. We take our vacations on cruise ships. The person I spoke said she would forward it to the correct department. #1 was refunded in a timely manner; # 2 was not! I received a denial letter in the mail saying we were denied because we had contacted Airbnb which we never, ever have done and that I should contact Airbnb directly. It took me a half hour to find a phone number, but they told me to call FNBO. So I did. Another person told me she would resubmit our information. Time dragged on, I heard nothing, I phoned more times nothing changed. Everyone I spoke to agreed that this had been mishandled. I asked to talk to a supervisor or someone who could help. Was told I could not! Around December 7 I phoned for the last time! The man I spoke was very helpful, told me he would stay on top process. The result was that they recharged me for the one that had already been refunded and charged me a second time for #2 the one I was having problems with. So now I have a $17471 bill for what should only be approximately a $2500 bill which is due on December 25. We are leaving on a cruise and will not be available after Thursday December 15. Internet is not good on the ship and I do not use a cell phone so this needs to be settled in the next two days!

Desired outcome: someone who can rectify this issue contacts me directly via telephone within the next 2days as we are leaving on a cruise [protected]. Monica Leave a phone # I can call back

First National Bank of Omaha Balance transfer did mot go thru. Where is it?

I did two balance transfers in January 2022. Both were for 800.00. One transfer went thru and the other did not go thru. I received a email on the one that did not go thru. It told me it did. I made several calls. You can talk to a supervisor and never a manager. Then they said it went to a bank that I did not have an account. I called that bank no transfer came in. First national bank of Omaha said they could not help me as it was my problem. So what do I do? I lose 800.00 because of this bank? I am a retired banker and I have never seen anything like this.

Desired outcome: I would like my 800.00 back.

First National Bank of Omaha Missing in action balance transfer funds

In June I submitted a balance transfer request and now it is the middle of August and I still have not seen it in my account. I’ve called FNBO many many times times without any clear resolution. I need that balance removed from my account! It’s showing as an amount I owe and therefore impacting my personal credit! I’ve already made one payment on that balance transfer and another payment coming up due, and I still can’t get any response to my issue except a bunch of excuses and finger pointing.

Desired outcome: Credit my credit card account back to zero balance and refund my payment(s)!!!

First National Bank of Omaha Credit Card

FNBO received good funds for payment on 06/07/22 on 06/14/22 the funds was reversed and sent back to my balance transfer company which they have not received. I had three conversations with FNBO on 06/07/, 06/10/, 06/14 and at no time did any of the representatives state there was an issue on 06/16 the funds were reversed and the representative stated that they were returned because they thought it was Fraud, at no time did FNBO e-mail me call send a secure message regarding the overpayment they just returned the funds causing my account to be OVERLIMIT. I now am paying interest on a Balance Transfer and having to pay interest on a card that was to be paid off. FNBO stated you can just send the money back whenever you receive it. This is totally unacceptable

Desired outcome: Reverse any and all overpayment fees and interest on outstanding balance as of 06/07/22 when they received funds

First National Bank of Omaha Cal Ranch Master card

I went into Cal Ranch to buy a freeze dryer. They talked me into a card from First National Bank of Omaha. It came back with a $11,300.00 credit limit that we put the 5,000.00 item on the card. We have never made the min payments and 5 months later paid it down to 3,000.00 balance. Out of the blue they dropped the credit limit down to 3300.00 because they said Experian showed a refinance of my home. Well, that dropped my credit score and when I called them they didn't care at all. I have a low debt to income and have perfect credit. Because of this I will never go with this bank and will never shop at Cal Ranch again. There are too many other place to do business. We should never put up with this kind of customer service. I made 358,000.00 in income and can afford anything I want. Dropping my credit limit without a letter or a phone call is just poor business.

First National Bank of Omaha Credit card account: extortion/fraud

The bank is attempting to charge me for a cash advance "in which no cash was advanced". That constitutes banking fraud. The company "continued to hold money i.e. $28.81 THAT FNBO owed to me" and I was forced to retrieve my funds i.e. $28.81 due me, AS A CASH ADVANCE, "because of the company's failure, to practice due diligence" in returning money owed me & "which was being held by the company for FNBO's gain".
I cannot believe FNBO's piss poor ethics and illegal tactics; That FNBO would indeed and illegally seek ransom money from me due to their poor management and failure to properly reimburse customers for payment overages.
The company has since entered false information into credit reporting agencies as well which has been duragatory to my credit scores at a time when I am seeking other business opportunities.
If I am not FULLY SATISFIED by FNBO in this matter, "I will seek the maximum allowable amount of $5000 in documented losses", for my time spent in small claims court in Benton county, MO.

Desired outcome: I want FNBO to show a false credit entry" and a statement reflecting a ZERO balance and the account immediately closed at my request.

First National Bank of Omaha Credit Card Application for Best Western Rewards Card

Unfortunately, it is my opinion that First National Bank of Omaha is in serious financial trouble. That is the only explanation I can believe based on my recent experience. Recently applied for a Best Western Rewards Credit Card issued by First National Bank of Omaha.

I have current have an 825-840 credit score with all three credit rating agencies and 170 months plus of consecutive on time payments with all of my accounts. My utilization is less than 2%. I currently carry a Chase Sapphire Card, an American Express Card and a Chase IHG card. I applied for the Best Western Rewards card as I travel extensively and Best Western Hotels seemed to have upgraded their properties recently.

I received a letter from First National Bank of Omaha requesting a copy of my driver's license, a signed copy of my original Social Security Card copies of W-2's for the last 2 years.
I clearly indicated on the application that I was retired.

I contacted the bank and was told there was nothing they could or would do and without the requested info.

There actions lead me to believe that this bank is in serious financial trouble.

Desired outcome: Info only

First National Bank of Omaha Visa credit card

I had a Visa card with FNBO for almost 40 years. I used it primarily for travel. Because of COVID, the last time I traveled and used the card was October 2019, and I didn't travel in 2020. Then they abruptly, without notice, closed the account for "long term inactivity." A phone call to the bank was unsatisfactory. The supervisor rudely stated the cancelation is "permanent." I am disappointed with the lack of decency and compassion toward a long term customer during a global-wide pandemic.

First National Bank of Omaha We’re to help

I received a letter from First National bank Omaha staying we're here to help. This statement in in reference to the covid 19 pandemic. I have been out of work for 6 weeks and have yet to receive a check from unemployment. I called the # on the letter to see what the offer was. I was told I do not qualify for the program. I was told I do not fit their criteria. I was told that they could not tell me what the criteria was. After hard pressing I was told that my credit score was too low. (My credit score is is 720) and that my account is not up to date (I have no past due payments) I was told that there was no supervisor to speak to and that a supervisor would call me back. This was so odd and seemed like a scam or like my account was hacked in Some way. Meanwhile b4 I made this call my husband called the 800# for covid relief and it was no problem. They deferred his payment immediately without hesitation. I have to say it felt discriminatory. I was treated terribly.

First National Bank of Omaha Loan underwriters

I wanted to consolidate my credit cards into one bill of which would lower my payments every month. I applied for a loan for $4000.00 with FNB only to find out that underwriting denied me because they said my credit score was a 547 of which is not true I looked it up on Experian prior to applying for the loan and it is at 636. Apparently there are differnt modules of FICO scores and Jill said that underwriting told her that you use Module 9. Here is the thing I too looked up Experian FICO Score 9 and found nothing at all I was even on Experian's website where I pulled my own score from and nothing. I do have some derogatory marks on my credit but if they would look at each one they would see that I have put disputes in on most of them. I never even had accounts with some of the stuff on my history and they are quite old. I have been fighting them for a long time. I am in pretty good spot now and really thought that since I bank there and FNB could draft my account automatically and knowing what my actual score was that I could obtain a small loan of $4000.00. This is very disheartening and disappointing to me. It also make no sense in not approving this small loan considering that the credit cards on my report would be paid in full and obvisiouly the one payment would be lower than all the cards combined. seriously thing about it makes sense doesn't it.

First National Bank of Omaha Credit card charges

My credit cad was compromisedwit the First National Bank of Omaha. They let the person charge $4000.00 worth of charges before putting a block on the card. I did not file fraud charges because I knew the person who used my credit card. My credit limit is $8000.00 but they also let this person go over the limit by $1200.00 and some dollars. I have auto pay with the card company so they charged me $1200.00 and some odd dollars on my next auto payment, in the past I was contacted by First National by phone when my card was being compromised, I felt secure knowing that they would contact me by phone if they seen my card was being compromised.

This is my complaint. I feel I should have been contacted by phone when the credit card co. seen all of these charges were being made, and also does the credit limit mean nothing, can a person just keep charging even though they have gone over the limit. Please contact me ASAP. I have been trying to get a lawyer on this but have had no success.

First National Bank of Omaha Customer service relating to business and personal checking accounts.

9/11/2017
My husband and I have banked with First National Bank of Omaha for 37 years.  Recently, our social security numbers and account numbers were stolen.  I contacted the bank to learn what safeguards could be put in place in order to protect my money.  I reached the Customer Service department and the man I spoke with said that I shouldn't worry, the Fraud department of the bank is constantly monitoring the transactions of every customer account.  When I gave him my account information, he couldn't find it in his computer.  That is pretty basic data entry procedure.  Now, I was really worried that if he couldn't even find my account after 37 years of its existence, how could he and the fraud department protect my and every other account at First National. I asked him to transfer me to the Fraud Department or give me their number so I could speak with them directly. He refused to do either and said that he was not allowed to do so.  I thought it was a fluke, so I called back and spoke with the Business Banking Department.  The business banker, Sue and her supervisor, Jill Davis, said that they could not connect me with the Fraud department and would not give me that department's phone number. They gave me no ideas about the safeguards I could put in place and would not give me to the Fraud Department so I could discuss it with them.  If the bank can't find my account number in their data base, and refuses to connect me with the people who can help me now that I have been victimized by identity theft, how on earth can I trust them, rely on them, or in good conscience let other people be similarly treated?

First National Bank of Omaha Payments didn't go through and company didn't help me

I have received the credit card from First National Bank of Omaha. It had a limit of $2, 000. I was surprised that I have paid only $100 and was needed to pay another $30 next week, but the payment didn’t go through. I didn’t get where the problem was, so I called them and the rep told me that the card was cancelled. He didn’t tell me why. So what do I need to do next?

First National Bank of Omaha Screwed up customer service and mode of doing business

Being a customer of this bank for over 10 years. Recently, they introduced the ability to autopay credit card through a bank debit (2013) when other banks have had it since 2000 and b4. They had the option but one had to fill out some paperwork and mail it either to enroll or to cancel. Could not be done on line. I decided to enroll. 7 days after my monthly payment was due, i received over 20 calls from them stating that my payments had been late. I usually turn off my phone while I work. At home I verified why that was the case after listening to my voice mail which said that my bank account provided was not valid. I signed in online to see what bank account I had provided. In one window, everything reflected information on my check and on another window, they had dropped off the last two digits of my bank account. With this incident, it appears within those 7 days they had pulled my credit, cut out available credit to just they amount I now owed and froze my account. This was the first time in over 10 years I have been with them that I missed a payment (because of their new online software) and they took such action. Did not really care for it was my opinion to use my debit card more. The problem though is that when I tried to update the last two digits which was deleted by their software because I entered and verified on another line, it will not let me and it was correct in another webpage. So I called their customer service (for the first time every). They had me verified all of my information and realized I equally had a passport on the account. I could not remember that passport. I was then transferred to the fraud team who I thought as other institutions do, we ask my questions using some information only I will know such as what was the color of your first car or made and model etc but instead, he asked me for the same information the previous customer service persons had asked including my account password. So I told him I did not know and that is why I was transferred to him for verification. Here is the fun part. Their solution was for me to go to my banking center, have them call First National Bank of OMAHA and first national bank will give them further instructions. I told them I bank online with a bank that did not have a location in my state. They advise me to walk into any bank and have them call first national bank. Can you imagine how stupid you would look to walk into a bank you do not bank with and tell them for example - I am not your customer, I bank with first National bank of OMAHA and they asked me to walk in here and ask you guys to give them a call at this number! Yes, this is their 21st century solution for identity verification. After the customer service guy made that suggestion, I hung up on him thinking this was the strangest thing I have heard from a "reputable" bank. Plan to just pay them off and close the account. Also, although I had one of the alerts setup to alert me if a payment was late or any similar alerts, none of that equally happened. What a waste! and then they acted like they were doing me a favor waiving the $25 late fee. Did not thank them, but made sure they knew they screwed up in the first place and that they wasted my time and energy going through to try and get that fixed.

First National Bank of Omaha Pay pal took my money and dont pay the supplier

I paid a supplier for a cel phone signal amplifier in Hongkong through First Natonal Bank online website using PayPal that FNB has on the site. PayPal took my money from my account and then refused to pay the supplier, I do not know what is going on or what they are accusing me of and they dont answer my complaints that I lodge on their site. It is totally unfair, I am in Saudi Arabia for work and urgently need the amplifier and they act as if I am a riminal and they took my money and dont want to return it?
