Received unsolicited texts and notifications I didn't ask to receive. Never even heard of this company till I received text messages today.
Dont do it
Dont do it. This company is fraud. They lied to us (small retail business) and sent us to collections. We are suing. They changed contract without consulting us!

I thought this thing had an online feature that my customers could use, but it turns out that's not the case. You gotta be there in person to punch in or swipe the card.
Don't do it, they're a rip-off
Don't do it, they're a rip-off. The sales pitch and what you actually get are way different, and they sign you up for at least a year because of this fact. They know no one will stay with their service that long.
Terrible, terrible customer service!
Terrible, terrible customer service! They charged me $199 a month even though I closed the store due to COVID-19. They said, since I'm on a contract, I won't be getting a refund even though I've provided proof showing that the store was closed.
This company, FiveStars Loyalty, Inc, is all about the money
This company, FiveStars Loyalty, Inc, is all about the money. They don't care about small businesses at all. Their program doesn't do what they claim, even if you follow all the rules and guidelines. I'm from *** and I wouldn't recommend this program to anyone, anywhere. The cost is outrageous, and when you try to actually use it, they want to charge you another huge monthly fee. They took money from me even after I told them that if there was no improvement during the trial period, I would have to cancel. There was no improvement, and they didn't even bother to notify me before taking another monthly fee. Don't waste your time or money on this.
Theft, pure and simple
Theft, pure and simple. Don't lie to businesses to get them to sign up. Don't charge businesses without authorization for false reasons! We tried signing up with them. Their system has bugs in it, so be warned. One example (of many): Doesn't reverse points if customer returns items they got points for originally. Their sales rep said we wouldn't be charged if we didn't implement and start using it with our customers. We were lucky we found all the bugs when we tested it internally, and then called to cancel it. They still charged us $300. Then we get this bill months later for a $300 "lost equipment" fee, even though we 100% returned all the equipment (which we didn't even use in the first place.
This system is absolutely terrible
This system is absolutely terrible. When we got it, we were told it would integrate with our Clover POS. But we've had nothing but problems. When I told them about the issues, they said they were having problems with *** and tried to sell me a POS. I told them I wanted to cancel my account because it doesn't work with our software, but they keep charging my card. The system simply doesn't work with our POS. They admit there are problems, yet they still charge me. If a salesperson talks to you about this software, run away. If it actually did what they claimed, it would be great, but it's full of bugs. It made my customers angrier instead of helping them.
I would give this company minus 100 stars if I could
I would give this company minus 100 stars if I could. To make this long story short, I'm the owner of One Zo West Covina in California. This salesperson named Cherry from Fivestars Loyalty program signed me up with a 12-month contract and he lied to me, saying that there are no contracts and I can cancel anytime I want. So far, after COVID-19 started, my store isn't doing well and I don't even use their services at all, but I have to pay $229 a month! I called Fivestars Loyalty customer services and found out that I'm stuck in a 12-month contract when the salesperson promised me in the beginning that there are no contracts and I can cancel anytime. I just have to pay for shipping the tablet back, that's all. Well, it's been 2 months now since I called them, but they did nothing about it, they just keep charging me every month for services that I'm not even using at all! Fivestars Loyalty is a well-known company but fraud. Can't believe their salesperson pulled some fraud move, but the company doesn't even do anything to protect their customers. NEVER DO ANY BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANIES THAT TRY TO MAKE MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS WHEN THEY'VE BEEN TRICKED BY THEIR SALES PERSON AND DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. FIVESTARS LOYALTY. FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD COMPANY!
FiveStars Loyalty Complaints 7
from FiveStars Loyalty, Inc are so annoying!
from FiveStars Loyalty, Inc are so annoying! They keep bombarding my phone with their dumb offers and promotions. It's like they don't understand the meaning of personal space. I mean, seriously, who wants to receive random texts about discounts and deals all the time? It's just plain irritating.
And let's not even get started on their app. It's a total mess. It crashes all the time and is super slow. I can't even navigate through it without getting frustrated. It's like they didn't even bother to test it properly before releasing it to the public. And don't even get me started on the rewards. They're so stingy with their points. It takes forever to accumulate enough for anything worthwhile.
The worst part is that they make it so difficult to unsubscribe from their texts. I've tried multiple times, but they just keep coming. It's like they're stalking me or something. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to stop receiving unwanted messages.
Overall, I would not recommend FiveStars Loyalty, Inc. Their unsolicited text messages are a nuisance, their app is a disaster, and their rewards program is a joke. Save yourself the headache and find a better loyalty program.

Just got a random text from *** telling me to click on some sketchy link and reply to the message. I don't even know these people, and I ain't got no business, so they must be up to some shady business. Sounds like fraud to me.
Immoral, liars, and total frauds
Immoral, liars, and total frauds. They're complete cheats, like a thug company designed to steal money from small business owners. The representatives are pathetic, they straight-up lied to me, said one thing, and charged me a huge amount for no reason. They won't admit their mistake, made me sign a contract without telling me all the terms, and now I'm stuck in a contract I never knew about.

This merchant processor is holding my funds for no reason
This merchant processor is holding my funds for no reason. I've called the merchant many times, but they keep giving me excuses and not releasing my money. They told me to send invoices for the charged amounts, so they can release the funds. I sent everything to them, but they still won't give me my money. It's 99k, which is not a small amount for me to ignore. They're being unprofessional, and I need my money as soon as possible.
I signed a contract with Fivestars in August 2022 for a marketing campaign
I signed a contract with Fivestars in August 2022 for a marketing campaign. The campaign was supposed to include emails and text messages to be sent to my customers. However, I've noticed that more than 38% of the campaigns sent did not include the text message part. I called them right from the start and on October 20th, I asked for a supervisor to call me back. I've made several calls since then, but they always give me excuses for why some of my customers didn't receive the text messages. They keep promising to call me back, but I haven't received any calls from Fivestars. Now, I want a refund of 38% of the total amount I paid. Since Fivestars broke the contract, I also want to cancel it. I've even sent them a cease and desist letter to let them know that they can no longer handle my marketing campaigns.

This company sold me a credit card processing machine that had many unexpected issues, and the representative didn't properly explain any of these problems beforehand. Instead, they made all kinds of promises about how amazing the processor was and how customer service could help with any problems we might have. Their customer service was terrible and they have no idea what they're doing either, and they can't help solve any of the issues we were having. So, I used this machine for only 4 days and had nothing but problems with it. So, I tried to call and ask about returning it after spending almost $400 on it, but they won't let me return it. I won't be using this anymore because of all the problems and lack of help they offer, yet they won't take back the machine or offer any compensation for the money I spent on it. This isn't good business practice. If I did this in my business, there would be major consequences. I just want my money back, or at least 3/4 of it since this didn't work out.

In September 2022, I had an unexpected person come to my business trying to sell me a subscription to the FiveStars Loyalty system by SumUp. I kept telling them that I didn't think it would work for me because of the price and the fact that I have a lot of inventory. But they kept coming back and saying it would be compatible with my operations. I showed them that my store services have modifiers based on customer requests, and they said it wouldn't be a problem. I asked how they would set up my catalog since it's big, and they said I just needed to send them the *** file from my current point of sale provider and they would take care of it. - 1.25.23 - I signed up for the system and paid $399 for the hardware and $199 for the loyalty program, which is a monthly charge. From the beginning of the setup, there were problems - they didn't load my menu, so I had to wait extra days to test the system. There was no refund or gift receipt option, and the items were in the wrong categories. After spending more time with the tech team and sending my *** file again, they still didn't make the items with modifiers. On 3.03.23, I asked to cancel the contract because they misrepresented the product and I wasn't using their services. I talked to the sales supervisors, and they said they would get back to me, but I haven't heard from management since 3.20.23, even though I've reached out multiple times with no response. I haven't logged into their system since 3.22.23, and I was paid up until 3.24.23. But now they're saying I have to pay for the rest of the year. Then a collections person called me and said they would end the contract, but I have to pay a collections amount.
