Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Neverending charges after signing

We were bullied into signing their contract. We were on our honeymoon and did not have a steady income. We told them that we cannot afford it, and they insisted that they could lower the premiums.
After a few months we discovered that we signed a terrible fate on ourselves. On the contract there doesn't say anything about the Refurbishment fee except for the R2800+. No words afterwards that says it's a once off or that it's yearly. We discovered it's yearly! As soon as we managed to pay the R2800+ fee, we are sent (a week later) that we are R2800+ overdue. There must be some clause that says that no contract is bounding if it was not stipulated (to the last detail) of what fees will be expected to pay. We have been trying to cancel since finding out, to no avail. They are very quick to fork up the payments, but not effort in trying to make you a happy consumer since referrals from us would mean more business. Instead they sell you a 'wonderful' story of low premiums and endless choices in your holiday destinations. Nothing was said about the Refurbishment fees!

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Who said that your company can process my details

On my way to Century City I receive a ticked that I won something from club Flexi. I when to them they took my details and I signed a contract but what Ii told Daren is that he must not process the contract because I would like to discus this with my wife before confirming if I interested or not. Darren the Consultant said that he will freeze the Contract and that I can decide. On [protected] I tried getting some money and found out that I have insufficient funds avail and that I owe the bank money. I went to the bank and got a statement and found out that FLEXI has deducted R1, 944, 25 from my account. I then Went to club flexi that same day and spoke to Daren and he said that there was some confusion with the contracts and that some one put my contract with the ones that needs to be processed .he said If I want to cancel my account I need to fax flexi in Durban a letter saying that I wan to cancel my account and that they will refund me with my money. I ask him if he could fax the form because I had no money and he agreed and he said he faxed the form and that some one will call me. Its 3 days now and yet I have not received a call.Please Help i have faxed teh form myself.

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA I'm one of those people who has become a victim of such misleading information

First of all i want to voice my disgust with Flexi Club consultants who go out and do presentations to potential customers on fulse premise. I'm one of those people who has become a victim of such misleading information. On the 10th of june i was called to a presentation by Flexi Club.

After the presentation we were told that flexi club is running a special package therefore to qualify for this percieved special, we were required to pay what was said to be a once of fee of R 7670 and a service fee of 1250 (annually). when i noticed other funny amounts on the contract, i then question these figures and the consultant ( Tshemise Mondli ) and his supervisor told me that the figures reflected on paper were not part of the special, therefore they will not have any bearing on the deal, but the form they use was just a standard form.

I got a call from one of the consultants asking for a payment that is overdue, i then question the amounts that she was refering to. The day after I looked at my bank statements to see how much money has been deducted to date. I phoned the customer services to inform them of my intention to cancel and they told me it cant be done. Is this legal.

Misleading is not the word., I have never come across such unprofessional staff members. I am trying to cancel my contract that has not even started yet and no help or response at all. Abdulah Martin the agent in Cape Town never return your calls. He did not mention anything about point system. He said you will get a booklet?still waiting?I needed general info from the offices but no help at all. Teachers beware - they go around to schools to sell this product and giving misleading information.

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Bullied and threatened into paying for an oversubscribed lifetime membership

This is most probably the only supplier who does not want his own 'product' back -even if it is returned for free! Points sales and levies derived from NEW lifetime memberships are clearly the drivers for sustaining this lucritive bussiness venture -very similar to a pirimid scheme you might say? Companies like these should be exposed and taken to task!

If you are lumped with your lifetime purchhase and have run-out of of options, I suggest that everyone lodging an official complaint also copies ALL of the following Watchdogs i.e. National Consumer Forum, South African National Consumer Forum and the Department of Trade and Industry .

These institutions will very quickly realize the magnitude of this problem and how consumers are continually being ***, bullyied and threatened into paying for an oversubscribed lifetime membership.

Who is the owners of this well thought up scams, cant the government get involved in this.I was told at the presentation how good it will be to own it, no problems they said an investment to pass on to your children.everything went good we agreed no hidden agendas i asked, no i was told.only 1000 points, then we signed, sounded lucrative, then 2weeks after we had signed they brought our contract i asked can i take it to someone to explain it to us, No it is just a formality that they had explained, just initial every page it is only a formality he said. I was so unhappy because i wanted to still take it to someone to explain but i was not allowed to remove it from the premises without signing it. I never did understand the jargon in it and just threw it in the box at home.mostly because i am not a univercity degreed or educated person.This was the worst sukker punch that hit me.kapow.

I believe you have a point there and i am definitely interested. I am refusing to pay FlexiClub over R6800.00 in the so-called club fees especially after i notified them i do no want their product anymore when i setlled the previous year fees. Is there anybody out there who could perhaps give this a broad public media coverage so that we could expedite the process of fighting these bullies. There is a posibility a whole lot of people are discontent about FlexiClub, worse still, as we speak people are still being tricked into the same predicament we find ourselves in. Even if we do not get the desired result at least a whole lot of potential "investors" would know the implications of concluding a business transaction with FlexiClub. It is for the very same reason that the Consumer Protection Act No 68 of 2008 was passed and i strongly believe that we have a case for Flexi to answer in that one of the purposes of this Act is to protect consumers from (i) unconscionable, unfair, unreasonable, unjust or otherwise improper trade practices; and (ii) deceptive, misleading, unfair or fraudulent conduct. The might be arguments about the applicability of this Act in this particular case but i believe the intent of the Act is clear and that is something that needs further exploration in order to curb this deplorable conduct.

How about organising ourselves to fight these tricksters. I have been fighting them since 1998, as they are still trying to bully me into submission and accept a rushed contract that clearly has too many open ends. They stooped so low that they even resorted to fraudulently adding information on their copy of the contract so that it meets the minimum requirements as stipulated by the National Credit Act. if intrested, fightflexiclub@gmail.com

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Non existent customer services

I to feel the same way as many of you do on the unsatisfactorynon existent service recieved from Flexi club. i have been trying for sometime to get there cancellation policy or termination notice which they are refusing to send tthrough. After numerous phone calls to them and promises of returned calls i am still waiting, We have been members of Flexi club for some 10 years now. i cannot see anywhere on the contract that this is a life time policy, i also cannot believe (As i was told) that the board will decide wether or not they feel like cancelling the contract.

Has anyone been able to succesfully cancel there policy?

we are now in a position where incentive leisure group are willing to take over our contract, which would cost more the R60 000. Does anyone have any experience with that company.

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Flexi club booklet

when sitting for the presentation the sales consultant say that we will receive a booklet with that he had showed us, but we still did not receive the book.we did phone to enquire but now they say we not going to get the book.in that book we can see the places were to book but now that we don't have the book we don't know were to book out.it rely creates a problem for us because we also don't have much access to the internet to view the places we want to go.if we have the book it will make things so much easier.

Our consultant also promised us the book, and after we sealed the deal and got home - with many doubt full thoughts about this deal - I emailed and asked for the book. I got the reply that I have to buy the book for R165.00 and yes, I have to check the places on the internet. I was very disappointed.

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Inept accounts dept

Since 2008 I have been trying to get the accounts department to correct my account. They omitted to take off two payments which came off my bank account and they have the cheek to charge interest on an amount that I dont even owe! Nobody ever returns my phone calls or bothers to fix their mistake! I am so sick and tired of this! What do I have to do to get this matter resolved !?!

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Cancellation

We have been trying to cancel our membership with Flexi Club since October 2009. We have not used this product since 2007 and had to pay the annual membership fees every year, which is close to R5, 000. We were told by the consultant who sold this to us that after the loan is pay off for the timeshare it is ours and we can sell or transfer it to someone els or do anything we want with it thereafter. Then we started making some sums, we had to pay R5, 000 for annual membership fees and you still have to pay a fee when you booked a holiday. The points you get have stayed the same since we bought the timeshare but the annual fees goes up every year as well as the points for the places. We have asked them to cancel the timeshare and that we do not want it anymore, they then send out a consultant to come and see us to show us how to use our points "proberly" or we can pay additional points or we can upgrade. We said that we are not interested in this anymore and do not want it. The consultant then told us he will forward the paperwork to sell the timeshare. We never received anything from him, we kept on phoning him and he told us that he will forward the paperwork. Then we received an account for the membership fees for [protected], we told them that we are selling it and do not want the timeshare. Finally we were handed over to Transunion for non-payment and told them the whole story, just to find out from them that Flexi Club has a No Cancellation Clause in their contracts, but if we pay the outstanding amount we can then cancel with them. We have never received a contract from them, and have asked for a copy of the contract we signed and we are still waiting.

We have been members of CRI since 1996. We moved to Australia in 2000. We have had problem ever since. I would pay my levy on time via telegraphic transfer. Six months later they would still be searching for the payment I would be getting threatening letters from their Debt collectors. Telling me that my South African Credit rating would be effected. I live in Australia. This has been going on every years. Two years ago we were told we needed to become Flexi Club members. We did so under the assurance that we could use our current amount of point on holidays in Australia. It turns out we can not. We are constantly been given contradictory information. In November I paid my levy with my credit card online. I noticed I did not get the discount I was entitled to. I informed them and they said they would apply the discount in the process I believe they cancelled my payment. Then they started hounding me for payment. That was the last straw. I told them that I have had enough of their incompetence, lies etc. They can reposes my points as I do not want them anymore. I received a phone call today telling me that they are going to hand it over to their lawyers.

They are so bleddy smooth to sell promises promises and what ever
But they can debit when and what they want off your acc and if you phone and ask to cancel they have the cheek to ask if I did reed my contract what he hell if they red it defiantly not after about 8-10 mishaps from their side still you cannot get rid off this junk I which I never bought this and will make sure no one I know do this we joint only in April 2011 and if I red all this before I would have newer got in such a mess. Some one must stop these people I even never have used anything yet but still NO WE ARE STUCk. I meen really there must be something that can be done for this to becanceld what about the new consumer law .I tried to cansel this after 3 monts as my saly was decreased and dit not get increase so i could not affort this i have 3 little kids and now i always have to say sorry no money but why will they care.

We are also trying to get out of this situation, we even upgrade at +- R8000 at one stage but service was still poor they say our points is worth well over R100, 000 but the levi is to high at nearly R10, 000 yearly we cannot get by anymore even giving it back as is, is not acceptable for 2+ years we try negotiations with out success, we stopped the debit order and wait for them to take us to court, is their anyone else already in court cases involved we will keep u posted. stephantina@webmail.co.za

Write to VOASA - the more complaints they get the more they will be forced to take this seriously - Write to the papers - approach TV and radio - They need exposure to the public at large - Talk to anybody and every body you can - word of mouth gathers momentum.
I am overseas and have written to VOASA - so far only receiving tacit sympathy but, I am sure, if enough people contact them it may eventually have a result. As for myself - having put my case to them in a registered letter (which offered them their shares back for nothing + a Profit of +- R12, 000- from the proceeds of my Timeshare which was sold and remaining unused funds), without response, I have ignored them and will continue to do so.

Is there any way that these people can be stopped. There is no way you can cancel, once you have joined. They threaten you with their lawyers. they not worried where you get money to pay them, but pay you must. What happens if you REALLY dont have the finances. It seems that when you signed up to join this club, you also signed your death warrent! That is the only way out.

My mom has the same problem. I cannot understand why, if you have paid your fees that you cannot cancel the membership and just hand them the points especially if you cannot afford it anymore. And then they also added points on to my mom's contract without consulting her. There must be someone out there that can help. Where o where?

You can forget it. I've been trying to get out for years, and just get nowhere. Sure, you'll sweetly be told that you can sell your points, and you'll be referred to a company (which quite honestly I think is part of them). When pressed, they will confess that reselling is difficult - even giving away is difficult. Think about, they're more interested in selling new points, not second hand.
You'll also be told that you can write a letter requesting cancellation, which will be reviewed by the Board. Again, when you persist and ask what the chances are of success, you'll hear (between the lines) that they are very slim. You realise it's not worth the effort.
In my opinion, this is a legal scam. The've got us by the necks, so they don't have to worry about providing service or stock availibilty. Something needs to be done, and the only way it can be achieved is by the Members mobilising, somehow, and take them on.

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Selling and fees

Hi. I bought a package from flexiclub years ago. The fees have become rediciulous. I sent them a request in July 2009 saying that I want to sell and terminate my membership. They then said that at their last board meeting it was decided that Flexiclub would no longer buy back membership as was stated in the origanal presentation (that I attended and signed). I don't think they can just decide to change things like that ?
I also informed them that with my wanting to terminate my membership It will therefor not be necsasary nor logical to pay 2010 fees.
Much later they e-mailed me to say that I must try Supreme Vacation Resale Dept because they deal with them. I immediately then phoned them to sell everything asap. After about another month I called them again to hear if there had been any response sofar. they said no. I then instructed the sales lady to give it away for free, as long as I could just be rid of them
So it went on... But then on end of Oct 2009 fees for 2010 started going of from my dank account. I went and stopped the debitorder immediately. ( as I told them in July2009 already). The first offer was made by them on 15Jan2010. That was premeditated ! ! Cause now they're holding back the accepted sale until 2010's fees are fully paid up.
This can not be right nor acceptable. Please help. What can I do ?

Dear Ms Grobler,
We sympathise - We were sold Flexiclub 4 or 5 years ago. We were told by the saleslady that a) They would sell our points, on our behalf, if we so wished - and b) We would be able to re-purchase our Pinelake units ( The resort has just been wound up) if we wished, in spite of how the contract was worded. Both have proved untrue.

We tried to re-purchase last year and were told by a Ms Krause that our weeks were worth less tha R100- each - possibly as little as R10- each - for them to transfer them back into our names would cost R750- per week. We checked with GRC Resorts how much would be paid out for our 2 weeks and were given a figure of just short of R5, 000- each (which F/club, as the titleholdrs have now presumably received). When we said we wished to go ahead anyway they refused in spite of her indication that it was possible.
We then asked to resign and have been refused repeatedly. This carried on into this year when, guess what, they said we could apply for resignation if we paid this years fees. We of course refused and, at the moment, in spite of sending a registered letter in May (which has not been replied to) to the management/Trustees explaining that they could still make a profit (our unused user fees & R10, 000- from GRC) by just accepting, all we have received are the same demands repeated by a Miss Moodley and a phone call from some purported lawyer saying that we would be taken to court if we did not pay. Needless to say, if they are stupid enough to continue this way and waste their money, that is there own business. We refuse to deal with liars.

As regards fees - ours have gone up by just short of 25% PA. We live in the UK and available weeks are pathetic and full of extra charges - We can holiday at more suitable places for far less.
In addition we have always paid up front to earn the early payment discount. They have kept changing the rules as to how this works without informing us, or informing us too late, and we have had to fight every year, after the first, to get the discount, just giving up and losing it one year.

Their communication is almost non-existent. They don't reply to emails, they don't receipt them and they don't institute instructions such as changes of address (This was why we lost the one year's discount). They are probably the most disinterested, disorganised firm we have ever had the misfotune of having to deal with.
We have kept all communications with them (and the amount of unanswered/unreceipted emails is in the hundreds) and, if it ever came to court, would be able to demonstrate what kind of firm they are and how they are quit happy to misinform their clients.

I don't know if you would want to adopt our approach but, the more people that do, the sooner these people will be exposed.

I wish you luck and would be interested to hear how you get on.

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Cancellation

I have been a member for a number of years, but do not reside in south Africa anymore and therefore have no need for the product anymore. My family have left the country with me and I can therefore not transfer the product to them either. I have requested that the product be cancelled. My product has been fully paid for 2009 - I didn't even use my last benefits because we had left. They have refused my cancellation and relied on this clause: We draw your attention to the Certificate of Purchase, Point 16 which states:
"I understand that this application is subject to approval by the Club and Vacation Properties and that should I wish to alter or withdraw this application, I should do so by giving written notice to the Club and Vacation Properties within 5 (FIVE) working days..."

and "we refer you to point 12 on the Certificate of Purchase which clearly states:

"I understand that points purchased are an investment in future holidays and are not primarily purchased for capital gain on resale".

This is unacceptable since I am not stopping membership after a short term OR because I want to achieve some form of capital gain.

Flexi club have not responded to these questions:

1. The portion of my contract that states that I may not cease to be a member (AT ALL ANYRTIME IN THE FUTURE). The 5 day period refers to a cooling off period. Does the contract indicate anywhere that you will go on paying for something and being part of an everlasting deal. No deal can be so set in stone. We (our family) moved out of South Africa on 31 March 2009 and now have Permanent Residency Status in Australia. I have no need for the product, at all. We did not realize we were going to leave and that was why I paid my 2009 usercharges in advance so that we could actually utilize our points. That didn’t materialize and we practically could not use our points. No or in future. EVER

2. The section in my contract that explains in what way I have not already had the benefit of an investment in future holidays (ie when do you regard my expenses and use of the points to actually be an investment)

The fact that when making bookings the charges have been considerably lower through my membership with the Club as opposed to if you had to make bookings through private concerns is irrelevant to my request to cancel. One takes out membership of the points-system holidays to obtain the benefit of the booking, variety, convenience and obviously costs.

They stated that membership is an investment in future holidays and implying that that was a reason why I may NOT stop membership in the short term. Initially we were members of Magic Breakaways which was later taken over by Flexi Club. So we’ve had the benefit for more than 10 years now and I believe that we had a considerable “investment in future holidays” and yes we did use our points a number of times. Please explain how we have not already had the benefit of an investment in future holidays ? and why that means we cannot cancel our membership?

If the point are so valuable why dont they but them back? I dont want to make a profit. What happened to market value?

3. The section in my contract where it explains how/when in my case I primarily purchased (Flexiclub) for capital gain or resale".

They merely referred me to the previous correspondence and the section in the contract, ie "I understand that points purchased are an investment in future holidays and are not primarily purchased for capital gain on resale" as many members are of the impression that they can sell their memberships for capital gain.

Again, I believe that we have NOT diverted from that in any way. (See my question in 2.) We are not wanting to sell for capital gain. The fact that we have been using our points and are fully paid for 2009 and have credit available is proof of that. We don’t have a choice now.

I think you should drop the whole contract bit and just stop paying... What's the worst they can do to you? Money owed in one country does not follow you to another country. They are not going to track you down in Australia - unless you told them where you are which I hope you didn't... Just stop paying!

I am having great difficulty in owning these time shares of Flexi-Club. Firstly, I have to pay an annual levy of R4800 and because of my current financial situation, I am unable to afford these levies. Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Hidden costs

When I joined flexi club I was told only about the monthly fees and a "user charge"... To be paid when I wanted to go on holiday.
Now I get letters from them telling me about yealy fees... Amounting to thousands.
I just don't have that kind of money. I need your help/advice on how to deal with this problem

I phoned Pine Town in South Africa 5 minutes ago, to get the information about how to join Flexi Club. She woman who was there completely receive to give me the information. She said she wants the lady who is joining the club to phone. I said I want this informtion because I will be the one to pay for her. however I am the member of holiday access after 3 years I will upgrade it to be Flexi. She was so rude that I could not get any information. This kind of behaviour is not acceptable. I also believe that there is a hidden agenda here. I have got a friend who is finding herself paying almost R2000.00 a month when she was never told that she was going to pay such a bidg amount a month when she was joining. If this company is not a bit crafty why is there no information in your web about how you sell this Flexi. Why do you have to spend a lot of money phoning Pine Town and after all that you will never get a good answer. Can you send me this information as soon as possible otherwise I will know that you are not trustworthy. Everybody that I know who has joined this club is complaining. I am serious but I will give you my email address only if you are willing to send me the information and if the information is right you can get more customers. But if you sell hope I will take you to court.

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA User charge

I contacted flexi club's offices to enquiry why my statement reflects a subdstantial smaller amount under user charges than what was paid over to them. The answer was that my money had expired. Kinldy explain to me how money paid over to flexi club as provisional user charges expires and what happens to all this expired money as I am sure that i'm not the only member with expired monies?

In fact all Flexi Club members need and should to take a stand and create association against Flexiclub and simply sue them to the ground.
Flexi Club is an organisation that unlawfully con people to buy in to their skim (trap) with no exit option as in the contract that they offer (the small letters and the deceiving sells man), it is un heard of embarrassingly shocking and totally uncivilised deal, the fact that members sign in without knowing what it is all about does not mean it’s the end of the road for the members or the individuals. Yet it may be costly to sue Flexi club but it’s imperative to put end to them and the rest of the other organisation that follow the same suit.
First step stop paying them and next get togather to sue them and demand all your mony back.

I have been a flexi club member for about 6 years.I have occasionally been able to go away to a resort of my choice, but most times cannot get accommodation at my choice of resorts.I have endless problems with customer service, The big Boss Mr Lamont never answers correspondence and it is extremely diffiult to talk to a manager.

I have had enough of the poor service, increasing costs and the nonsense that goes on with this club.They Lie at presentations and anyone thinking of joining is strongly advised not to.This is not an investment its theft.

I have had similar issues with Flexi-Club. I was told that they will not answer any corespondance until I paid the account. Once I paid they ignored me. I have emails and fax proof that they simply do not respond. We bought into flexi-club to go to the Sun City vacation club. We bought the correct amount of point for a Xmas week, the next year we were told that we did not have enough point. The following year we were told that they are no longer linked to the Sun City Vacation Club.
Hell I will give my points away to anyone that wants them free of charge!

I AM A FLEXI CLUB MEMBER AND COULD NOT GET ANY RESERVATION WHERE I WANTED TO GO THE PAST 3 YEARS, ALTHOUGH I TRIED TO BOOK WELL IN ADVANCE (OPENING MONTH FOR BOOKINGS).

NOW I AM SITTING WITH A LOT OF MONEY IN CREDIT IN MY USER CHARGE ACCOUNT, WHICH WILL BE "LOST" OR AS THEY SAY, EXPIRE BY THE END OF THE YEAR.

FURTHER I MADE AN ARRANGEMENT TO PAY THE FINAL AMOUNT OF R 900-00 RAND END OF SEPTEMBER 2009 FOR THIS YEARS USER CHARGE AND LEVIES.

BECAUSE OF THE LAST PAYMENT OF MY CURRENT USER CHARGE IN SEPTEMBER, I AM NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE ANY BOOKINGS AND MY ACCOUNT IS ON HOLD, WHAT ABOUT THE MONEY THAT LIES IN CREDIT IN MY USER CHARGE ACCOUNT?

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Points

I would like to join all the other suckers who have been duped by Flexi Club.
We had our points with another timeshare company CRI as well as being members of RCI and in all the time we were members of these clubs we were able every year to swop our points for a holiday in various parts of the world without any problems. Until that fateful telephone call from Flexi Club promising us so much more, and their fast talking rep. Van zyl Meiring. I rue the day I was persuaded to "upgrade" at considerable expense I may add. Like some of you I queried the interest that was added every month to my statement with unsatisfactory results, even though a Debt Order had been signed. Is there no Ombudsman we can appeal to?

We've had exactly the same experience. Also member of CRi and RCI and received good service then. With us the persuasion was of another kind. The rep actually told us that CRI is going to go bankrupt and if we do not change, we will loose everything ! Also paid a lot of money just to let them "take over our points" ! We had three good weeks in high season before - now, if we want to exchange two good weeks, our more than R8000 per year levy is not even enough to cover the "expenses" . Now you have to sit one whole day trying to phone their offices just to get your hands on a good week ! What rubbish ! Total rip-off . Don't ever buy from them ! Susan de Beer, Namibia

My name is Gys Lourens and e-mail address is [protected]@mokabi.co.za.My account 080866 was for any other reason stopped/cancel and after a briefcase of e-mails and a cell phone bill that you don`t want to see, nothing was done yet.I am trying as from June 2008 to sort out my account after I had booked a holiday and enjoyed it at La Montagne in Balito.I wish I can sent you the e-mails that I have sent and the replies/promises I have recieved and I is still nowhere.I can also give you al the names and e-mail addresses with whom I tried to solve the problem.

We can not talk about service at Flexi Club because there is nothing to talk about.After all we as members are paying indirectly the people in the offices their salary, if there were no members, there would be no club.What are they doing behind the desks if problems are not solved of the members.This is pathetic and I do believe that I am the only member with this complain.

I can understand all the complaints posted on the net about Flexi Holiday. What the salespeople say during their presentations is merely to dupe you into buying the points on offer. After having purchased points in about 2002, i am now told that i need to buy more points because my points purchased are insufficient to enjoy a holiday. It will now cost me an additional R14000 to buy more points, but these new points cannot be added on to the old points bought! What codswallop!

As for their service, this does not exist. You can never get them on line to make a booking. If you do get through, you are informed that booking season for that period is closed/yet to open. I went personally to their offices in Pinetown in 2008to enquire about accommodation in Mauritius in december 2008. The manageress promised that the Mauritius club official will contact me about this. We have enjoyed the holiday at great cost to ourselves yet this cost could have been much lower if we received co-operation from flexi holiday. I had the points to use at the time. However, to this date, the call from the Mauritius rep, is still forthcoming. Talk about customer service!

These people are hoaxces and swindel people into buying pionts at great costs and promise annual holidays. Since 2004 they were unable to provide 1 suitable resort or holiday but demand levys such as refurbishing etc. without being bable to accomodate tehe pionts owner. Its a [censored]ing scheme and should be stopped.

Just bought voucher from flexifamily last week. As of this week they don't even have a website or valid email. There phone number goes directly to message bank. I feel that they have just taken my money and packed up on gone on vacation themselves.
I wished I had of not been suckerd into this convincing scam, it is money lost that I really needed to pay bills with. Its ###.

I fully agree with this disgusting service!, they want to hand you over so quickly for non payment. I have a situation were one of their consultants forged my signature, I sent them e-mail and phoned them and just wasted so much money trying to set the record straight. They came back to me and told me that I will be refunded and that never happened! Now they want to hand me over for something I never ever agreed to. Can anyone tell me what I can do about this because I'm in the U.K. and unemployed which I have also communicated to them, I never had any problems with my current points but since that fraudster took advantage of me I am now in trouble. Can anyone help and is this site being looked at. See below my response to them.
Can you please get back to me urgently, I am receiving threatening messages, how dare your company threaten me, should i not hear from you within the next 48hours I will be contacting the new papers and expose you for what you are.

I stayed at the Mount Sierra from 14 May to 21 May 2011, upon our arrival we got a call from Joy inviting us to a meeting, we attended the meeting which was very nice because he explained to us in detail more about Flexiclub, I told him that I'm very happy with my current package and do not need anything else, I also told him that I'll be moving to England but will still be keep my holiday points because I can use it Internationally as well and I have used it previously and it works very well, my son is still in Cape Town and he have also been enjoying the benefits of the holidays.

He then told me if I want to have better benefits I must upgrade premier or premium account and I will enjoy much more international benefits. I told him that I'm unemployed and do not want to incur any debt, he assured me that this will only be a once off payment and I will not have to make another payment, he also told me that nothing will change as for as the cost of my current situation was concerned.

Now that this has all came to light I realized that he never wanted me to complete the forms, he did it all by himself. He just took my information. As I can see the info on the forms are correct but my signature is not. That is not my SIGNATURE!

He asked me for banking details and I questioned him and said why do you need banking details if this is only a once off payment, he told me that the office also asks for it. I then told him that a ll my payments to you are made via Internet banking and I do not have debit orders in place and don't intend to have any. I prefer paying all my accounts via Internet banking therefore I did not give him banking details. I also noticed that on of the documents has my initials on, I would never put my initials down as DVE, if initials is required for any documents I will just initial DK. I did sign a document but not any of these.

My thinking is that he took all my info and transferred it onto these documents and copied my signature onto them. I am so angry that this had happened to me because I do have money to clear my annual fees for this year and that was budgeted for. I certainly did not budget for this, I paid the R3645 because I thought that would just make life easier for me being in the U.K. and I'm planning to come to Cape Town on holiday in the near future. What is this now going to do to my records with Flexiclub and if I need to book further holidays?

I would like you to please refund me my R3645.00 and I will have my account just the way it was previously.

Complete dissatified with the service we have received. Paid over R4000.- for points and was promised 2000 free points. Never received this. Each time I book for a holiday they are fully booked and they want to inform me when I should go on holiday (outside Peak times). Tried to book again today after receiving brochures regards bonus breaks and special offers. They have nothing available for me. SO WHEN DO I UTILISE MY POINTS. I was now told can only book for December to March next year. So what if I cannot make it for this holiday, do I lose my points. Would like to terminate this contract with immediate effect, was told I now have to pay another R7673, 63 no idea what this is for. Have not evern utilised the points that I should have received. I've just been sued for non-payment. This after they admitted that they failed to register me as a user for TWO YEARS, despite taking payment a mere 3 days after I signed the contract.

I wont pay fees (and INTEREST on fees) on a service that I never received.

In fact, this is a "service" I dont want at all.

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Contract cancellation

I was a member of Flexiclub for the past five years. I wrote to them that I want to cancel now that I have finished the contract. They told me tO pay settlement amount which I did. I was surprised they continue to withdraw money from my account.

Last month they withdrew the monthly amount which I reversed with the bank. This month of October they tried to withdraw the annual fee which is R2750.69. Fortunately there was no money for them in the account. What I have realised they just don't want to cancel this contract.

But I vow to fight to the finish. They won't get money from me any longer. The public must be made aware of this scam. They just suck your money for nothing. People can even visit the hellopeter website to read about the many complaints people have about these people. They promise you things you will never get.

Flexi Holiday Club / Flexi Club SA Deception and lies

In 2003 I joined Flexi Club. During presentation you are told to buy a certain number of points. You are also told you are to contribute a certain amount monthly. This monthly contribution you are told is an investment that you later claim back after finishing paying the contract.

There are hidden costs. After some time of joining a letter arrived to say I must pay an amount in excess of a thousand rands. When I enquired from the rep what it was about he told me it was meant to protect the investment against inflation. This amount actually go for accommodation costs.

This year i contacted them now that I finished the five year contract about refund on investment. I was told I have to sell the points privately if I needed money. All these was never explained on joining.

The worrying thing is that you are not

equipped to sell these points and the selling price is low compared to when you buy from them. Alternatively you are referred to a company that sell points and you must pay for them to do that. Nothing they say during presentation comes out being true.

What actually woke me up was the many complaints about them I read on other sites for complaints. This has been a very painful experience in my entire life of dealing with business people.

Ive cancelled my Flexi holiday membership it was getting too expensive for me and i received an email with cancellation letter, representative Reshma says that the letter is invalid because it does not contain my member Number HOW STUPID TO THEY THINK PEOPLE ARE REALLY I'M.NOW LISTED ON ITC AND can't apply for anything

Since being a member of Flexi-Club, I have learned a little more about THE HIDDEN COSTS and tried to get out, but with great difficulty. I was informed that the value of points are now at R11-40, but cannot even sell it for R5-00 per point.
If anyone is interested in buying approx. 3900 points from me please contact me. I really want out of this bad deal!

Bought points / timeshare at Magalies Park through Flexiclub (that was what I was told) and it would be added to my existing membership in June 2012. Transaction went through credit card. Sales person: Leandree Govender (Umhlanga Office). After months of houding vacation club they now informed me I should contact Grand Vacation Club and Flexiclub is busy with an internal investigation. I want a refund. I don't even know who Grand Vacation Club is. Flexiclub has just left me in this mess. I have proof of purchase on FlexiClub Conversion application, Credit card authorisation - Grand Vacation club form and credit card statement where payment went through.

I totaly agree that the entier members of this club need to stop and terminate colectivly the payments to Flexi club and for good. Unles Flexi club come with new terms and conditions on a fair bassis.
It is totaly unlowfull to bound anyone for terms of payments without exit terms for ever, If a member like to walk out and stop his membership or he can’t eford the PLESURE any longer or he simply like to move on, he should be able to do so and do it freely without big deal about it on call without bleading and incuring any agrivation what so ever.

Ongelukig is ons ook victims van hulle. Ons het aangsluit in 2009 op ons honeymoon. Ons wou nie eintlik aansluit nie, want die finansies is nie stabiel nie, maaar sy praat ons toe in laat ons wel aansluit. Die uiteinde is dat ons elke jaar R2800+ moet opdoek vir Refurbishment fee. Op die kontrak staan daar niks van dat dit 'n once off fee is of elke jaar nie. Ons het met bittere spyt uit gevind dis elke jaar. Plu jou maandelikse fooi (subscription) plus kontrak fooi waar jy die punte betaal. Ons het laas maand die R2800+ af betaal gekry, en skaars 'n week later, kry ek 'n sms wat se ons is R2800+ overdue. Hul suip geld, maar mens kan niks daaromtrent doen nie. Al is daar 'n 'cool-off paeriod', van 'n week, help dit niks want teen 'n paar maande in vind jy eers uit watse skelms hulle is. Enige iemand wat 'n uitweg kry, asb laat weet ons almal op post dit op die complaints area. Want hierdie mense is net agter geld aan. Ons is so spyt dat ons aan gesluit het. Rene'

I have gone through most of the complaints on this site and I could not help laughing. Do not be fooled my laughter, it is supposed to be tears because I am also a victim of this scam. Flexi club has money to buy lawyers into bullying us and threatning us. The worst that can happen is that they will blacklist us. Let us hold back on our monies because we are fueling this insanity by bowing to their threats. Each and every disgruntled member must stop paying and if they take your money from your bank account, immediately go to the bank and reverse the debit order. This will cut back on their cashflow and they will not afford the lawyers, or consultants. At least within 3 months they will have to file for bankrupsy. If they decide to reposses our property to pay for their outstanding fees, we refuse in front of the court and opt for prison. The truth is that no one has ever been put in prison for being unable to pay for clothing accounts, cars, houses, investment accounnts, shares, instead you are blacklisted. I pesonally believe that even if I get blacklisted, the umbudsman will understand my case
