Business Name: Flexiti Financial Issue: Reimbursement of funds paid to my credit card for transactions that were subsequently cancelled
Business Name: Flexiti Financial Issue: Reimbursement of funds paid to my credit card for transactions that were subsequently cancelled. In January, 2022, I opened a Flexity credit card through *** to finance a purchase of $1,184.23. I had made payments on the order which was subsequently refunded due to a defective product. I then used the same credit card / finance option for a purchase at ***'s Furniture in the amount of $3,198.99. This item was also refunded because the delivery date was 10 months out. Following this refund, I contacted Flexiti customer service (by phone) to request the $414.60 that was paid against the card to be refunded. I followed their instructions and sent an encrypted email to ***@***.com (see attached email with full thread) on March 7, 2022. On March 14th, I received a response that they could not open the attachment with my banking information to which I responded (same day) asking how I should send the information since I was not going to send my banking information through regular email. I did not receive any reply to the original response or to the subsequent two follow up emails that were sent on March 16th & March 18th. In the interim, I submitted a request for someone to call me through their website help section and I also called their customer service desk on 03/14 and 03/18 asking to speak to someone within the department but they only tell me to email them. This is an endless loop. I'm simply requesting the funds that I paid to the card to be returned so that I can close this account. Attached documents: 1) Transaction details with current balance, 2) emails that were sent to their [protected]@flexiticom asking for the refund and 3) response from online help request. Thank you -

I have 2 remaining promotions with Flexiti
I have 2 remaining promotions with Flexiti. In September 2022, I was charged interest of 395.53 due to a missed payment of $29.37 that was due on August 15th. I am now being charged 100 a month interest on top of this. Unfortunately I did not realize I had missed this payment and paid the past due amount as soon as I realized in September when I was looking at September's statements. I have been told I have 2 missed payments but no where in my records on my account can I find any other missed payments other than the one for August. I called to find out why I was charged interest for something I haven't even been paying for. The payments do not start until December 2022. I have spoken to two different employees and no one can provide me a straight answer I was told they would look into my account further and I would receive a phone call back. I have not received any phone calls to explain why I am being charged 400 dollars in interest for something that I was not even paying for yet. The associate stated that I have past due balances on my statements but according to what I was provided other than for the missed payment there are 0.00 past due amounts on my statements. I had no issues paying interest on something that I was paying for but how does one get charged interest on something they are not paying for and do not pay for until 3 months after this charge was applied. I still have no resolution, I have no clear answers and I am thoroughly frustrated and upset that for someone who pays most often than not more than the payment amounts, puts extra down often, pays for the defender plan and missed a single payment of 29.37 accidentally now has to deal with a random charge that was worth a third of the over all amount the charge was applied from. I do not care about the other smaller interest charges I would just like the interest charges for this matter removed.
I have made purchases with this company and they have been extremely unprofessional when handling my claims
I have made purchases with this company and they have been extremely unprofessional when handling my claims. I called them a few weeks ago regarding some interest charges they had told me that my account had in crude interest but I had spoke with a manager and he had told me if I had paid a certain balance he would credit me the interest charges and correct my account so that I can continue making the monthly payment until my plan expires. I made the payment as directed But I still see interest charges accumulating on my account, I have tried to call him over 10 times and every time I call in the automated message first states that they are having delay issues in receiving paper bills also when I keep in my information from the automated system to pull up my profile it gives me an option to speak with a representative and when I click that option it says that I clicked An invalid selection and it also states to please try again and then the phone hangs up right away I did that about 8 to 10 times trying to see if I can connect with somebody and East attempt to do so the Phone continues to disconnect. I have couple plans on my file that I believe are expiring soon and once they are expired and they are not paid in full the account will in crew interest which I am trying to avoid by contacting them ahead of time so that I can figure out the accurate balance to pay off the account with flex city not answering my phone calls and their automated system is disconnecting calls so that customers cannot get in contact with a customer service rep it is hindering my account and possibly putting me in a delinquent status which is going to cost me lots of money. I have tried to email flexiti Have not received any respond I am not sure what the next steps are but I am writing this letter in hopes that someone can assist me in getting this about it cleared up as soon as possible.
We purchased furniture on a deferred payment in March
We purchased furniture on a deferred payment in March . It was 18 months deferral, no payments no interest but to be paid off but Oct. 4 2019. starting June we started to receive calls that our account was past due, we questioned as to why and were told we missed our insurance payment. We NEVER EVER took the insurance from them. after a couple days back and forth they apologized and said they corrected it and that no we did not take the insurance and they removed it from our account. The next month and EVERY SINGLE month after that they continued to call and inform us they reported us to the credit bureau, and then would say oh you are right you did not take the insurance. During this we were trying to figure out balance and could never get an amount as the insurance was being added each month, then they started adding interest and over limit fees. When Oct 4th came they stated we owed around 5 thousand which is incorrect they admitted that it was wrong because of the insurance, but they went ahead and sent it to collections. I spent 2 days on the phone trying to figure out the balance when they gave me a total of 1900 and change I paid it that day. I have a recorded conversation with them stating that was my full and final balance, but now we have discovered they re sent it to collections for 2100 for the insurance, interest and over limit fees. We had contacted them as to what is going on as I have a recorded conversation stating that I paid my balance off in full, they informed us they were going to retrieve it from the collection agency and call us when they had. I found out today it has affected our credit and that nothing has been done. apparently I have been speaking with a supervisor but he has done nothing. Also I have asked for a copy of a contract several times as they sent it to an old address as we were in the process of moving, they have FLAT out REFUSED to give us a copy.

Hi, I would like to submit a complain against Flexiti Financial Inc
Hi, I would like to submit a complain against Flexiti Financial Inc. I bought a sofa from The *** under Flexiti Financial Inc. on 24 months interest free installment. At the time of purchase, I was told by the agent that the Administration Fee, Delivery Fee and Taxes has to be paid in full by September 13, 2022 which I did. I was also told that my net purchase amount of $2,199.90 will have no interest for next 24 months. When I received my Statement (***) I noticed the amount in the statement where it's mentioned Outstanding Balance of $309.30, this amount verified correct as what I told by the agent. *** in the account summary (***) there was a credit of -$126.00 applied on 6 September and I also made a payment of $183.30 on 12 September, 2022 to pay off outstanding balance of $309.30. Now I noticed there is an interest amount of $9.37 charged to my account. I called Flexiti and spoke to an agent who was very rude over the phone. I tried to explain the agent what I was told and the agent never tried to listen to solve the issue so this made me really mad and I decided to escalate this to Complaintsboard.com. On the Statement the total balance is showing $400.97 which includes my 24 months interest free installment too. The amount which I have to pay for installment every month is $91.67. So if there was a miscommunication between the agent and myself, I still shouldn't be charged interest because I am on 24 months interest free. How come they charged interest $9.37? Am I paying interest of 10.22% per month for balance of $91.67? I request Complaintsboard.com to please look into this issue very seriously and I need a credit of -$9.37 interest charged to my account as I am on 24 months free interest installement. I hope my interest would be reversed and also would like to tell Complaintsboard.com that moving forward, all my payments will be paid on time. Thank you very much.
I currently have two promotions with Flexiti
I currently have two promotions with Flexiti. One is a No Interest, No Payment, Same-As-Cash promotion for a purchase from *** that started on Nov 10, 2021 and expires on Nov 10, 2022, for $3,482.04. Under the terms of this promotion, no payments and no interests need be made until the expiration date. Another is a No Interest, with minimum monthly payments, Same-As-Cash promotion for a purchase from *** Quebec that started on Dec 23, 2021 and expires on Dec 23, 2022, for $2,644.14. Under the terms of this promotion, I am required to make minimum monthly payments at no interest; however, if I miss two payments, I will be charged the accrued interest. I had missed two monthly payments, so I am charged the interest for the second promotion, an amount of $677.00. However, Flexiti had also cancelled my first promotion, and charged me $1,160.45 as interest on the first promotion. This is despite the minimum monthly payment requirement only applying to the second promotion. I had called Flexiti on Thursday October 27, 2022 to ask for an explanation of where the interest charge for the first promotion came from. The representative mentioned that it is I was charged because of the two missed payments; however, she could not explain why I had two interest charges instead of just one. I had ask for documentation of this process and where it came about in the Terms and Conditions. She said she will escalate to her manager and to expect a call within the hour, but the call never came. I had also separately submitted an inquiry via their chatbot the morning of Wednesday October 26, 2022. Tyler answered that chatbot inquiry on Monday October 31st, stating "We noticed you already connected with one of our customer service representatives. We're happy to see that we were able to assist you" - despite the fact that no resolution had taken place and I never received a call back. Why do I have two interest charges?
I am lodging this valid complaint against Flexiti Financial Services
I am lodging this valid complaint against Flexiti Financial Services. On the 17th of June I made a purchase in the amount of $1,379.65 at *** in Kirkland, Quebec for a new electric range using my Flexiti account on a promotional term of 24 months @ 0% interest and equal monthly payments of $57.45 Then on the 16 November I made an additional purchase in the amount of $1,14.10 at *** in Kirkland, Quebec for a new 4K television using my Flexity account on a promotional term of 36 months @ 0% interest and equal monthly payments of $30.95. I have made all my monthly payments on time and in some cases in advance of the Due Dates of payments. Then on the 8th of February 2022 Flexiti started charging me interest for my purchases in the amount of $54.22 monthly. I made a phone call to Flexiti and spoke to one of their agents and discussed this situation with them and was told that I had missed 2 payments and my account was in arrears and the promotional term was cancelled and as a result and I would now be charged interest monthly on the balance due. I told them that this was in fact incorrect and I had not missed any payments I went over my statements and payments with them but to no avail. I sent them a follow-up email stating that the error was theirs and not mine and I would withhold any further payments until they rectified their error! They were the ones making the error and thus breaking our Agreement! *** a position that would *** reflect that I was the one the one who had broken the purchase agreement and so justifying their reason to charge me interest on this account. Knowing this going forward I would never have used their services! *** I have never been late on a payment to any of my creditors in over 10 years as evidenced in my credit history at both *** and *** Credit Agencies.

I opened this account in 2017 for a laptop purchase at a well-known retailer
I opened this account in 2017 for a laptop purchase at a retailer. I paid off the balance early. Now, on Feb 25, 2022, I received an email about a new collection on my account. It stated that in October , Flexiti claimed $754.00. After a 3-hour call and being transferred repeatedly, I got my account number but was told it's blocked. I've requested managerial assistance, but calls drop. I need account access for payment proof. Despite timely payments, Flexiti's 'solutions' failed. They advised contacting the collections agency, who denied freezing my account. Flexiti's staff are unhelpful or disconnect the call. I need account access to confirm my payments. I want a $0 balance, removal from my credit report, and my original credit score restored. Please assist.

I'm puzzled by my Dec.15/21 statement after a first purchase on Dec.7/21, as I didn't choose any options.
I received my statement on Dec.15/21 after making my first purchase on Dec.7/21 and I am very confused and overwhelmed. When I accepted the Flexiti Card offer on Nov.25/21, I wasn't able to select any options. After acceptance, I quickly got my account/card number. I only got an email two days later confirming my purchase. The Manager confirmed his rep processed my transaction when I called. I wasn't consulted or informed about the process or given choices, except for my financing preference to the Manager. Contacting Flexiti Customer Service, I questioned why my statement demanded $1361.08 by Dec.31, 2021. The rep said my purchase was a regular transaction, despite my expectation of monthly payments like a credit card, not a lump sum of $1361.08 which I can't afford. I used my Flexiti card believing in the monthly payment option. I wasn't consulted or given a choice in this matter. My welcome emails didn't warn me, or I would've declined. I can't pay in full by Dec.31 and expected to make monthly payments. I feel misled and trapped without support.

I signed up for a 36 month, no interest, equal payments plan for a *** Airfilter for $2690.78 financed by Flexiti in October
I signed up for a 36 month, no interest, equal payments plan for a *** Airfilter for $2690.78 financed by Flexiti in October . I lost my job when the pandemic started and I began to fall behind on my payments starting in March because of my lack of income. I spoke with a Flexiti representative named *** on March 19th who told me she spoke to her supervisor and instructed me to pay my bill when I can and there won't be any interest charges. I continued to pay as much as I could while trying to keep my head above water, typically on time and occasionally falling one month behind on my payments. In December I started noticing my monthly payment was increasing. My plan started out as $75/mo, and by March 25th it had doubled. I called them to ask why and they told me they were charging me 37.99% interest and that there was nothing they could do for me. I was upset, I wasn't obvious in the contact they sent me I would be subject to these interest rates and during the phone calls I had with Flexiti they indicated I wouldn't be subject to any interest if I fell behind, especially not 37.99%, on a plan that was supposed to be interest free. The interest was equal to, or higher than what my regular monthly principal payment was. I wanted to report this to the Complaintsboard.com for 3 reasons: As a consumer I feel mislead by Flexiti, they used my job loss as an excuse to drown me in a unaffordable interest rate in the hope that I would never be able to pay it off for their maximum profit. #2: 37.99% interest is too high for any reasonable person to expect to pay. I begged them to reduce it for me and they wouldn't budge. The 3rd reason is if I wasn't able to pay this off in full I would be stuck in a cycle of making the minimum payments with 95% interest and 5% principal for 25+ years. As of March I have paid $707.23 of interest, while my principal has been reduced by only $20. When I spoke to them on March 25th they said they would be willing to refund $250 if I paid it off in full. I paid off the remaining balance of $1918.05 on March 26th to escape this vicious cycle of debt they forced upon me. In the contact it says there is no penalty for 'prepaying' off the product early. I am deeply concerned that they may try to recoup more interest from me since I am no longer in their vice grip and I paid off the product early.

In Jan. 2017 I bought a Snowblower from a local store
In January , I bought a Snowblower from a local St. John's, NL business, and financed it through Flexiti Financial in Ontario, with a contact number available upon request. The deal was 0% interest for 36 months, totaling $2406.49, with monthly payments around $63. I consistently paid $65. In 2019, I updated my email for statements, which took months to redirect. This led to two late payments. Near the end of the term, my balance was unexpectedly over $1400. Flexiti said late payments trigger added interest. They wouldn't show all statements or explain the charges. I felt entitled to full disclosure and proper notification of added interest. Flexiti's refusal to provide details or reasons, coupled with their threat to demand full payment of unexpected interest, prompted me to seek help from complaintsboard.com.
