I am writing to express my outrage and frustration over the treatment I have received from Flexiti, and I am demanding immediate action regarding the unjust interest charges that have been applied to my account.
On December 28, 2021, I made a purchase at Brick Furniture for approximately $8,000, using the Flexiti card. I was assured that the 36-month financing plan came with 0% interest. This plan is set to end at the end of this month. However, two weeks ago, I was shocked to learn from Flexiti that my promotional rate had expired in 2022 and that I have been charged interest ever since. To make matters worse, the interest charges have accumulated to the point where the total amount now is nearly equal to the original purchase price!
When I made this purchase, I treated it as a loan and diligently made consistent monthly payments, with the expectation that I was fulfilling my obligations according to the agreed-upon terms. Flexiti claims that my promotion expired due to differences in my payment date and their due dates, but this is completely unacceptable. It is their responsibility to notify customers if there is a change in terms, especially if it results in such significant consequences.
I am furious that I was never informed via mail or email about the expiration of the promotion, nor was I made aware that I would be charged an astronomical 30% interest rate. This is utterly dishonest, and their statements provide no clear explanation of the situation.
I use multiple other credit cards, and I have never encountered such poor service. With my other cards, banks consistently inform me about any changes to due dates or terms. Yet, Flexiti has failed to communicate anything, demonstrating a complete disregard for customers.
This situation is not only frustrating, but it is also financially devastating. As the sole earner in my family, I am struggling to make ends meet, providing for my wife and two children. I am doing everything I can to save money, even cutting back on groceries to ensure I can manage my finances. Yet, Flexiti's outrageous charges have drained over $5,000 from me—money I cannot afford to lose. The financial burden they have placed on my family is unbearable, and it feels like they are preying on vulnerable individuals.
I have seen numerous other complaints from customers who have had similar experiences with this company, and it is clear that Flexiti is operating with no regard for fair business practices. It is time that the government takes action to regulate these predatory companies and hold them accountable for their deceitful behavior.
I demand that this issue be resolved immediately, and I expect a full investigation into these charges. I also request a refund for the excessive interest fees that have been wrongly applied. If this matter is not addressed promptly, I will not hesitate to take further legal action.
I am looking for help and I hope that someone can step in to correct this injustice. No one should have to endure this kind of financial exploitation.
