Florida Department of Revenue Child support program

The Child Support Office has in the past caused problems for me personally with my employer, my security clearance, threatened to take my drivers license all based on false and inflated claims by my ex-spouse without proof or bothering to contacting me.

I just had a successful case outcome in Bay County Court. After which they again sent a threatening letter for insurance proof. I am a retired disabled combat veteran and my children have been on DOD Tricare insurance since they were born and will be until their 21st birthdays. I have abided by all Court stipulated requirements yet I am treated like this?

If this continues I will be forced to file for dismissal in the Bay County Court. I will also be filing for discovery against any parties involved.

Desired outcome: Child Support Office to refrain from further contact

Florida Department of Revenue Misinformation is being used on case file

There is wrong information on the notice of child support. The department of revenue thought I was a woman and I got a second notice of nonpayment. I didn't even get a first notice. I sent a modification notice before this second notice was sent. I never got a response. I was garnished for child support before the nonpayment started happening. I lost my job and I sent a motion to modify because of it. I was never disclosed about the garnishment or modification. Disclosure, writing false information about me in my case or no bias toward me are illegal. I have rights and they seem to be violated.

Florida Department of Revenue Child support enforcement

Hi,

My name is Veronica Banchs mother or Shawn Crayton. I'm writing because since I've moved to Florida over 7 years now. I haven't had any help with enforcing my child support case with Lashon Crayton. He claims his taxes have been garnished multiple times. He's also been working on the books for years now. The child support office in LEE County Florida keeps telling me that no action on my case has been taken the past 7 years because BROOME County holds my case. I was just told this today over the phone. My son is Autistic and the reality is he will live with me for the rest of his life. I'm in desperate need of help enforcing this order because my son needs help. If I could get help with our case I'd greatly appreciate it. Lashon owes over 60k in child support yet managed to get a settlement from a car accident, work on the books without having this order enforced. Any help is greatly appreciated it.

Florida Department of Revenue Support modification / loss of a job and stimulus check and refund taken.

I have tried to modify my child support for a year not but I am being blocked by DOR's lawyer who has teamed up with opposing counsel in this scam. I filed a Petition to Modify, was accepted as indigent, and I filed all the proof that I lost my job. DOR even collected support from my unemployment checks at 55 %. We had a hearing on Feb. 28, 2020 wherein we were sent to a totally different judge to have the hearing for 5 minutes to tell us that she cannot make any decisions on this as she is not the judge of record. The judge of record had our hearing booked at the same time with another hearing so we walked into the courtroom only to find out that a 2 day hearing was underway already. The JA told us to go upstairs for Judge Souto to hear this and this was nothing but a waste of time and I was railroaded.

I need a modification of support and I am not getting a hearing now on this. I have tried relentlessly with no hearing being given to me while the court, DOR and opposing counsel, are all aware that I am jobless for a year. This is highway robbery and this is not what due process is all about. I am extorted into giving up on my own child or DOR keeps tacking on the billing per month while I don't have the ability to pay this and this is known. DOR's attorney should not be acting this way and I need to get in touch with DOR's adminisration and/or management to address this illegal and highly offensive matter.

Florida Department of Revenue Negative impact on credit score.

I have been working for the same company for 10 years now and the department of revenue garnishes the child support out of my check every week. They report to the credit bureau's that I am late and behind on my payments. You would think that it would be impossible for me to be late or behind since the money comes out automatically every week. 2 years ago I was buying a house and couldn't because DOR was reporting that I was behind, so I called them and the lady said that if I paid a month in advance that I would be caught up and ahead and not have to worry about being behind again, so I did pay just so I can buy my house. Here we are 2 years later and they're reporting negative again that I am late 120 days 10 times and behind on my payments. Calling the D.O.R doesn't accomplish anything they give you the run around and make it out to be my fault somehow. What can I do, I need some advice how I can fix my situation.

Florida Department of Revenue Child support

In 4 years I've only received $600. I'm an Interstate case with my case manager being in Ohio knows nothing about my case do to the fact they do not forward her any information whatsoever.
The person who is suppose to pay child support owes $57, 000. Now my case is on the verge of being completely dismissed because of lack of activity due to the Department of Revenues fault.

Florida Department of Revenue failure to enforce

Florida is thee WORST state to have a CS case in... they do not enforce CS, they don't suspend licenses, Dead Beats are allowed to be in the Rears for over 5+ years, owe over $25K in Support, are allowed to roam freely, allowed to get Government assistance, Medicaid, food stamps, and "claim" Disabled when they are in perfectly great standing capable health. but the working responsible class have to get out and work 2 & 3 jobs to make ends meet, and be held accountable for being the responsible independent adult.

Florida Department of Revenue Child support order for missing children

Child support case #[protected]. Ten years ago, my then wife filed a child support order and it was granted without a trial. She took off from Florida to Puerto Rico and disappeared 8 years ago. In 2016, I was able to get a divorce from her without her being present but the judge refused to put a child custody order in because the children do not reside in Florida. She was supposed to comply with the DOR and let them know where she was living but they only have a po box for her. They refuse to modify or stop the order now that neither parent reside in Florida. I have now been served a notice of intent to levy and they have frozen my bank account, which is about to cause me to become homeless and jobless. I have constantly been in contact with them, going to court over and over and all they want to do is take all I've earned. I want to pay child support, but i also want my children and i believe it is immoral and unfair that she gets to stay in hiding and not answer for taking the children away. According to the supreme court, children have a constitutional right to avoid dislocation from emotional attachments derived from the intimacy of daily association with the parent, however, it seems that the DOR is only concerned with stealing my money. No lawyer will help me. No judge will help me. The FBI refuses to help me. How is a person supposed to live like this?!? Missing their children every second of every day while the government threatens to take everything I've worked for and give it to the woman who took my children and apparently it's not against the law?!? She stole 8 years of time with my kids from me! And the DOR keeps threatening me, to take 65% of my paycheck, to seize my property, and suspend my license. How am i supposed to live and try to support myself or those kids if they take it from me over and over? I have been homeless twice because of this and now it is about to happen again. Do you even care?

OMG. This is crushing. CHILD SUPPORT ORDER FOR MISSING CHILDREN, that's the DOR's M.O. I came here to post a similar situation, hoping a living person, a person with a soul would understand and provide some type of assistance, ANY form of assistance, but reading these have made me realize there is no hope. These people (DOR) are soulless zombies and machines. They don't care about my daughters' life and the psychological & emotional trauma they'll incur from this, they don't care about my life and the psychological/emotional trauma I'll incur from this, We're just case numbers and dollar signs, and the DOR attorney just says, "we're not here for that." Really?! How f*ckin convenient for you! This is not right. None of these cases are right or fair. You're literally burying men financially for children we will never see or speak to, because you're "not here for that." It doesn't make any sense! If I pay monthly for my phone, I get the phone. If I pay a car note, I'll get the car. I don't have to go through 100 different channels & court cases to get to use something or have something that I pay for! Sans the fact they are are MINE to begin with! They wouldn't be here if it weren't for me, so why can't I see them, talk to them, have them? Are you going to pay me for my DNA?! It's mine! Yet she gets to hold it for ransom. Give me my children or you get nothing! I'm not paying my abuser for abusing me and my children. If I listed all the things she's done to us, riding by with the windows barely cracked and once I make eye contact with them and smile she rolls the windows up and pulls off and I can hear my children screaming crying. She does it to hurt me but denies that it affects the children mentally. But, "you're not here for that", yet expect me to pay you for that. No. This could ALLLL go away, every complaint, every PTSD or trauma case if you'd just do the right thing. If you come for the money, come with the product (in this case the children). Otherwise, it's a scam and it's abuse with generational long-term affects.

Florida Department of Revenue child support services.

I'm writing today to inform the state that it's has failed in every way possible to serve it's constituents. I'm a father of 4 wonderful children. I'm married to the mother of 3 of them. I was granted custody of my eldest child from the state of Georgia. Now here's the issue. I have filed for child support with the state of Florida. I've been waiting since March of 2018 to have anything done on my case. I call every couple of weeks and all I get is we are waiting on Georgia to send documentation. I called in December and was told that you have received the documentation and now in January there's no such documentation. When I called to ask if it has been reviewed yet. This is absolutely absurd. I don't understand why in the world you people would state that it was received if that were not true? Somebody needs to be held accountable. Whoever is in charge of this program needs to rethink their obligations to the people they were hired to serve. I can't fathom why it's so difficult to get the truth from the department of child support services. When I was paying child support it wasn't an issue to threaten me with DL suspension and paycheck deductions but for you people to get me the child support that is needed it's like pulling teeth from an alligator. It's almost been a year since I filed for child support. Where is the enforcement action, where is the help that I have requested, when will something be done? Thanks for nothing Florida!

Florida Department of Revenue paid off

My complaint is that the child support has been cancelled and paid in full however they refused to stop taking the money out of the paycheck all they are doing with the money is putting it in what's called their escrow account and they will send it back to the payee whenever they feel like it. The state of Florida is nothing but a harassment against parents who work for a living. They take away your driver's license they make it so you can't work because you can't get there and then they want to find you 4 not being paid in full

Florida Department of Revenue customer service and enforcement

Every time I call Customer service I get hung up on. They don't call me back and the representatives don't care to really help. They tell you to call someone else and that someone else just tells you that they can't help. I'm getting incredibly frustrated. I don't have time to be waiting on the line every day. My children need support and I'm about to be on maternity leave with no pay so I will not have an income. I am the only support my daughters have! The father never helps with ANYTHING! I can't stand this!

Florida Department of Revenue child support

Hello,

Child support offices/web pages should be a service to the tax payers. When calling or attempting to chat with these services, one does not need to wait hours or have the chat session time out in 90 seconds. Notices/Intents of Actions are not sent out in a timely manner. Payment history should be availble in its entirety. A review of the system needs to be done; problems, complaints, and suggetions addressed accordingly. State laws can not be and are not above constitutional rights. The right to life, liberty, and the pusuit of happiness can not be taken away.

There are hundreds of complaints that do not have any responses to them. To the inspectors, address them. These complaints are not to be treated as people blowing off steam.

Good luck to all of us!

Florida Department of Revenue enforcement actions

Hello, my name is Annika FIscher.
I have been "working" with DOR for almost 13 years now in regards to my childrens father. They dont do mych of anything we go to court for contempt at lest every 4 months. I am a single mother I work a full time job and going to court every 4 months makes it hard for me to make a living to support my kids. Mr.Robbins has has not seen my son in 10 plus years and DOR slaps him on the wrist gives him an X amount of time to pay X amount he will pay that amount the not pay anything else and they cycle starts all over again. I need to know if there is anynoe that can help me get some results with this matter. Inclosed is a copy of how many times we have actually been to court. I need help with getting results. Thank you, Annika Fischer

Florida Department of Revenue child support dept of rev

I'm enclosing a reply I wrote below it explains a lot of what I'm going thru...I will say no child support was owed to anyone but me court stated...I requested to clear arrears 2010...they were for the prior years Shawn supported his child and mine...the DOR became upset...I wanted child support from that day on...Shawn was paying regularly but she messed with him so much by taking liscense...keeping refunds...arresting him that he stopped paying...he felt he had overpayed and they were stealing his money...in court she stated during several hearings they never received intercept. Well we have printouts from irs from every year the day she received and the date she returned one as fraud...the dates were before the last time when she bold face lied in court..saying he dor/cse never received any to date...this is putnum county court..
From below..we need change I have been trying to get 2011 thru 2018 intercepted refunds that have been sent to child support for my son...The DOR has given false statements in court...she was caught by us lying and so she sent one check back to IRS with it marked fraud...I can get no where there are websites cse and dor which both have different information about payments...the clerk of court, dor and cse all have different amounts owed to me...they go in and out adjustment on the ledgers the adjustments are for the amount of his refund...every payment sent to me has a check number except the adjustments because they have never been sent we are talking about 8000 dollars...this year states he was given back his license for a lump sum payment...so I go to try to find this payment not listed anywhere...but on website it states paid by eft...I call my card never have they put a credit on my card...no history of any money being placed on card...still can't get someone to answer these questions..asked in court for an audit, judge ordered an audit we go back for the results she called out sick...never got audit we tryed to argue are case and were told to be quiet or we would be in contempt of court...I got an audit from independent auditor from State...she was told she could not go back any further than our last court date by law...well all the money they stole is before the last court date...then to top it off they send me a letter stating my son is amancipated unbelievable my son is a junior in high school...I think my next step is the attorney general or the news papers...I can not afford a lawyer...Kelly a Downey..

Florida Department of Revenue child support

Hello my name is Shannon Bonner,
I have 2 different case numbers, since I'm not sure which you need I will provide you with both.
Case number on letter for court is [protected]
I have also been told this is my case number [protected].
The other parent on this case is Steven D'Cruz (social [protected]).
Arrears at this time (11/8/19) are $37, 174.63.

I am filing a complaint due to the fact that what was said during court on 6/18/19 was not done.
The rep from the Florida Child Support Dept told Steven in order to get his license back that he would have to pay $946.77 by 7/18/19. Steven has yet to pay that and it is now 11/8/19. However the state of Florida still gave Steven his license back at which point he again quit paying child support.

Since this conversation was held in court I would think that what was said is legally binding and is what must be done. Or does that state of Florida not go by what was said in court?

The child support Dept has done very little to get Steven to pay child support when they should in fact be doing much much more.
Since he quit paying he didn't show up to the last court on 10/22/19 he just phoned in which i wasn not told about by the court officials, they just told me that he didnt show up. I beleieve the reason he didn't show up is because he left the state (since he has his license back and wasn't put in jail as he should have been long ago) I was informed that the child support dept has ordered him to be apart of the work force program. Thats great but has he done that and is this being monitored?

His license never should have been unsuspended since he didn't do what the court told him to. His license needs to be suspended again ASAP as it took months to get it suspeneded to begin with.

This case actually needs to be turned into a Criminal case since he refuses to do what he is legally required to do and i will continue to push for this to be done.

I would highly apprectiate this complaint being taken seriously as I will not rest until justice is served. I will reach out the the news, senators and much more. What is happening with this case should not and probably is not legally allowed.

Please get back to me and let me know what is being done about this before I start reaching out to others.

Shannon Bonner
