Freedom Mortgage terrible company

About two years ago my elderly parents started receiving notices that they were behind on their payment by one month... But they had all their canceled checks. Even though these were submitted to the company the letters continued. About a year ago I moved home due to the death of my father and my mothers illness. Due to her illness I took over finacial matters fully, including making payments. I reviewed all the records regarding their payments and also found that they were not behind. I submitted the information and after fighting with them for nearly six months... Got them to admit that my parents were not behind. There were other issues such as they were not calling us because they thought my parents were in bankruptcy (Had been discharged more than two years prior). Now my mother has been moved elsewhere and I cannot afford to continue this large... Ever rising... Payment. Payment has not been made in nearly seven months... Eight according to their records... Letters come threatening foreclosure (I want this) and I have on rare occasions been able to make contact with them... But still no foreclosure... How can I make them get this over with?

I want to tell the world how poor and rude and full of people that hide behind their email and just pass it on. Its so inexcusable I need to see how many others are affected by your Co.

Per Fannie Mae, it’s up to Freedom to allow me to pay my own homeowners insurance. Freedom refuse. Freedom reasoned that I had a modification in 2020. I said no. Freedom researched and it was in 2010 I had a forbearance. My homeowners insurance changed I paid it. My homeowners insurance told Freedom no action needed on their part. Freedom paid.

Company giving me the runaround on an escrow refund. It's been over two months and they refuse to wire or rush my money to me. Getting many different answers from different representatives. Zero progress and they care zero percent. STAY AWAY from them.

I have been victimized by this company for several years. I have been praying for GOD to help me with answers and boy did he. I went to a library and came across a brochure for the following company to Help Veterans from being SCAMMED. Thankyou GOD and you heavenly ways. How I love them.

I called recently called them to report this mortgage company. She said to do an internet search by​
typing in search engine Freedom Mortgage scams and WOW was I blown away of the endless Fraud and manipulation I and so many others have encountered. Here are other recommendations.​

-install robocop app on phone​
-www.optoutprescreen.com (stop credit card companies from sending app in mail)​
-www.annualcreditreport.com or call [protected]​
-call [protected] to stop Fraud mail from coming to house​

I truly hope this will help you as much as it has myself and family.​

I just killed my dog for them. Now only 3 cats and me to go. They win. Their agents lie about foreclosure. there is no one to hold them accountable.

No longer free in the USA.

Goodbye, a stupid excuse for a world, ie. earth.

A check was sent to my Mother for a escrow balance, for $660.30 her bank would not allow her to deposit it because my Dad was deceased . She called and ask them to cut a check in her name only.
They ask her to send a copy of my dad's death certificate and they would send a check in her name only. She never received the check. After many calls, letters and emails they tell me the check was cashed. September 28, 2018.
I have been told so many things and still this is not resolved. I was told if I had not received the check by September 29th that they would stop payment and reissue a check. I called them on Oct. 3, 2018 and they told her the check had been cashed on September 28th so they could not stop payment.
After many times asking for the copy of the check so she could see where it was cashed they finally sent her a partial copy, which showed nothing on the back. The check was written out on the Sept.28, 2018 so how could she have received it on the same day and cash it, She would not have cashed it she would have deposited it in her account. They told her they would send her a fraud affidavit to fill out which she never received.. After emailing and writing them several times, I decided to call KeyBank on January 9th 2019 to see if they could give her any information of where and when this check was cashed, they told me they could not find any information on this check as far as they could tell, unless it was deposited electronically or cashed electronically which information she did not have.
I then called Freedom Mortgage Same day Jan. 9, 2019 and they would not talk to me with out talking to her, so they called with a 3 way call to have us both on the line. While on the line my I ask how is it possible for a check to be cashed on the same day it was written by my Mother when it didn't have time to get to her and that if the check was sent out it was sent out to a wrong address. Now they said the check was cashed on October 15, 2018.
OK, if it was cashed on the Oct 15 2019 why could they not stop payment on the Sept. 29 2018. I told them there are laws in place and it was there duty to resolve this and that she would not allow this to happen to my Mother. We were both cut off at that time.
My mother called them back again they said they would send a copy of the check to her again they said they couldn't read the signature maybe she could. They again said they would send a fraud affidavit for her to fill out. My Mother called me and told me what they said, I said this has been going on way to long we are not waiting 4 more months for this to be resolved. it seems the story changes every time you talk to them. They sent a Key Bank fraud affidavit form which you can get online at this link.

If the stories they tell are true they would have stop payment on September 29th 2018 and reissued a check sent to the correct address as they promised, but they didn't. I called also and received account information which said as of August 31 2018 the amount owed to her was 775.37 The house closed July 15 2018. Even the amount is not making sense. The check was $660.30 her account said amount owed as of Aug.31, 2018 is $775.37 a difference of $115.07 A copy of the front and the back of the check was sent, Wrong address on the check, The back of the check it looks as though my name was signed, it's not my signature and no one would know who I was except the fact that I spoke with them on the phone. I purposely did not give my signature on any document, because I suspected fraud.
I also didn't give my full name how I would sign it on purpose. They still have not said where the check was cashed.
There is one bank and one bank only that she would deposit this check, not cash it! My Mother is 81 years old and needed this money It is sad and makes me furious that she is being taken advantage of.

Too long of a story to bother to write. Or should I say stories, plural? They are the absolute worst! DO NOT ever accept a loan from Freedom Mortgage or you will have nothing but problems. They DID NOT pay my homeowner's insurance which was escrowed until many, many phone calls. When I refinanced, they still charged me for another bi-weekly payment on my old loan, which I was naturally NOT expecting. My phone calls go nowhere and the 'customer service' agents provide lip service at best. I could go on for pages. Stay away from Freedom Mortgage!

I have had nothing but problems with this company, we had our house mortgage for several years without ever having late payment our any problems with escrow payments being made, somehow it was our unfortunate luck that this company ended up with our mortgage after they held it none of our payments ever could get there on time we started including the late fee with them since 2 weeks ahead of deadline would still not reach them on time they claim the late one did not count and now my loan is 4 months not paid even though i have cancelled checks with their late fee for every month, all cancelled 1 to 2 days after late deadline, sent 2 weeks before deadline, they did not pay taxes from escrow ontime that the previous banks did so i had extra fees on late taxes that escrow always payed they keep the same amount of escrow as others but cant pay and never an excess of escrow at end of year my credit score has been destroyed by this company because i pay them they are the devil.

Terrible company. They were refinancing us. The last few day until we would get our mortgage insurance removed and a slightly lower rate they said we had a secured mortgage on our house. I told them they had all of our records and credit report for over two months and now they found this the last minute. They found a Home Depot credit card that our credit was raised 500 dollars but did no t see this secured loan. I do not believe it. This has been very tiresome and weary process and then they do this to us.
I would never use them if I did not have to.
