This company discriminated against my family, they assumed false information based on our race
This company discriminated against my family, they assumed false information based on our race. Please be aware this company uses stereotypes for lending. I'm opening a discrimination complaint against them, I have never dealt with such a discriminatory company before and it really hurts. Juan B is the mortgage consultant I dealt with, no sense of customer relations whatsoever, always treated us with a rude manner and always made us feel less.
Mortgage Consultant Kara Williams was my contact in the refinance of my VA loan
Mortgage Consultant Kara Williams was my contact in the refinance of my VA loan. Kara did a great job. She made the process appear to be so easy. We closed in 3 weeks to the day and would have closed sooner but there was a glitch in my insurance company forwarding the information. We took care of that together and closed well within the guidelines I was given. I highly recommend Kara Williams. give her a call for your mortgage needs. You'll be glad you did.
I worked with Michael Rein at Wyndham Capital. He was easy to talk to, available and made each step of the process simple.
We have successfully worked with Adam C three times for initial loan and refinancing. He is the great loan officer and had been able to efficiently resolve all the problems that we had. His initial cost estimates are very honest and close to final result. We would gladly recommend Adam to our friends and family.
Wyndham handled my refinance with a great rate and a 70 day rate lock. My loan officer, Taylor C handled the process like a pro. I can't say enough strongly positive things about their people, process and product. Well ? done.
This company cold called me as a result of a rate query on bankrate.com. I spoke to a person who said they would do an estimate. About 10 minutes, I get a hard inquiry alert on my credit initiated by Wyndam Capital Mortgage without my permission. This person did an estimate for the wrong type of loan and and this was the first hard inquiry, and there were 8 more from other similar inquiries. After that, I was inundated with calls for days afterwards and there ended up be 10 hard inquires. I

We had such an amazing experience through Wyndham, and specifically with Kara. A couple of friends recommended her to us, and the process was seamless. In our first call, she answered all of our questions and took all of our information - and from there the process took only a month and we received the best rates and best experience. We've already started recommending her to other friends so they can work with her and the great team and Wyndham. Thanks so much!
Process for a home mortgage quote was very informal. Informal to the point that I had no idea there would be a hard credit pull until I was alerted by my bank. When I was communicating with the agent online I informed her I did not see the rate I was interested in and to just cancel my application. I was then told to not worry and to just 'Submit my application to satisfy the bots'. I had no idea this was my acknowledgement to perform a 'hard credit' pull as I did not see this anywhere on the application. When I reached out to the Wyndham management I was informed that there was a small section that I agreed to. Unfortunately I still did not see where I agreed nor have I been provided my acknowledgement of confirming. Their IT department has been unable to provide any confirmation of my digital acknowledgement through my multiple requests. The impact as a result is a negative hit on my credit which moved my overall credit rating down a level. This caused me to delay all my future credit applications as I was not ready to receive anything more than a quote. I am not happy with how informal the process was and it seemed my application was just rushed to submission without understanding what the consumer needed. A call or some other more formal communication should have occurred to inform the consumer that a 'hard-credit' pull would occur even for an informal inquiry of current rates.
The wyndham team were helpful when I needed to refinance. The process went smoothly and their approach was quite welcoming. Another gratitude goes to CreditMason for getting items off my credit report and making sure I have the perfect credit score for my mortgage. You can look them if your credit still need some work. In conclusion, Wyndham Capital is the best and I'll keep recommending.
Easiest refinance I have ever experienced! Kara W and team were great to work with. Seamless process with easy application and document upload process through Wyndham's online portal. Received constant updates and if they needed something I was notified immediately. It was overall just a great experience and I'm so grateful.
We were shopping for a cash out refinance, and Wyndham was recommended as a great match for us. Trent D. was in touch quickly and put together an excellence estimate for us. He was kind, personable, respectful, and efficient. I really wish we went with Trent and Wyndham. He deserves some props for his 5 star customer care!
Kara was wonderful to work with!
Kara was wonderful to work with! The part that impressed me the most was when she reached out a couple of days before we were going to sign our refinance papers to see if she could help us lower the amount of "cash to close" that we needed to bring the day we signed. She did not have to do that, but I am grateful that she did. She was extremely helpful and truly cares about her clients. I can't say enough great things about her and the entire Wyndham Capital Mortgage Company!

I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. They tell you one min that everything is fine and the next minute it's not. They claim that they help people when they absolutely do not. My wife and I tried going through them to get financed for a home loan and we turned everything in very quickly usually within the first few minutes of them requesting anything. They would state that we are good to go then they would turn it to the underwriter and all of a sudden the paperwork we turned in from our banker was fraudulent . I have spoken to other lenders and they have all said the same thing. That they will purposely drag people out and let them believe that they are getting a loan when that is almost never the case
The most stress free seamless ReFI I have ever done. I trust them as I have worked with them before. Adam Coleman was fantastic and really looked out for my best interest. Pressure free. Honest. Great process with their on line portal. If I ever refi again I would never go elsewhere

I don't know how these people got my information
I don't know how these people got my information. I have no account with them no loans never even dealt with them. Meanwhile They me daily asking if I want to buy a new home. The spam calls begin at 8AM and go all day. When they can't reach my phone they start spam emailing my personal email. I don't know who gave then my Info but this company is harassing me and I don't even know who they are. I've had to block them on all fronts but they use different numbers to spam call you

Recently completed a 3rd refi with Wyndham Capital and just like in past the whole transaction went very smoothly. I contacted a representative at Wyndham Capital about what I wanted to do with my mortgage. He immediately worked up some numbers which was what we were looking for. I highly recommend Wyndham Capital Mortgage for your mortgage needs. I have worked with the representative 3 times and was very pleased. I even recommended my son contact him to manage his refi, my son and his wife were pleased with the whole process. Satisfied customer.

I was referred to Kara W*** through my family
I was referred to Kara W through my family. When they heard I wanted to refinance, they immediately forwarded her contact information to me based on the wonderful experience they had. Kara was a sincere delight to work with. She was very informative and I was guided throughout the entire process by her and her awesome team. I always knew where things were at and what to expect and it was a seamless process. I would recommend Kara and her team of professionals to anyone in need of a mortgage or refinance. I will definitely call Kara in the future!
Adam with Wyndham called me and I lucked out, I guess
Adam with Wyndham called me and I lucked out, I guess. This was as painless an experience as could be. I applied for a refi with my current lender and another broker who tried to get me financing for my purchase, but they were so much slower... Adam got me my rate locked and preapproval the day I spoke with him...! No, I don't have stellar credit either, and whoa am I happy with my rate and terms... working to repair credit is a chore - with other places, they used my history as an excuse for higher rates and extra fees, etc. Recommend Wyndham... give them a try at least and include them in your list of possible lenders to try out.
Our experience, a re-finance, was vastly different than those listed in the complaints
Our experience, a re-finance, was vastly different than those listed in the complaints. It is apparent that they've improved their processes and training since 2018/19. If anything there was over-communication, not a bad thing, and when needed, positive confirmations (via phone, email, text). In the midst of COVID-19 and FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) hype, things went smoothly. The WyndhamCapital team (Carter, Sharrell, Denise and the un-named underwriter(s)), ensured that we stayed on schedule and within the initial estimate (actually closed at a lower out of pocket cost). I'd give them a 5+ star rating considering how they've performed under the current circumstances (3/26). Clif S.

Probably no company is perfect, but I give 5 stars for how was I treated and the desired outcome. I was referred by a friend and, from the very first contact, I felt like a valuable client. Indeed, my refinance was not for a huge amount, so they don't make a ton of profit from me, but I was treated like it was for a million bucks. Communication was great, and I was never uninformed, or far from help if I had a question. Their online process was so much better than I could have imagined. Using technology to improve the user experience was a good idea. I do worry about security, and I hope they've closed the loopholes. But it was truly a smooth process from start to finish. My team was great, and I would recommend them based on my experience.

The refinancing experience was fine, but Wyndham ended up selling my new mortgage to the exact lender I asked my servicer (name of servicer) not to sell it to, so clearly they're not great listeners. They are also terrible about keeping the customers' information secure. I was notified a few months ago that Wyndham had emailed all of my most sensitive personal information to an unidentified third party, and had no idea how to recall it. This violates all standard privacy practices like: (1) not retaining sensitive information you no longer need (I had not done business with Wyndham in several years; and (2) using unsecured means like email to transmit a customer's sensitive information. To top it off, they still keep contacting me by email and phone after I have instructed them numerous times not to. In short, they have decent rates and okay customer experiences, but clearly don't care about your privacy.

We are building a new home, and have been in this process for 7 months now from being pre-approved, which went smoothly, up until now, we have been working on the closing process for about 45 days now. Nobody answers your calls, nobody answers your questions, they give a loan estimate and then toward the end of closing, after continuously paying down debt in the 7 months, they tell you that you will owe more than $6,000 than your loan estimate. Then because they pulled credit in the middle of a month, before your new report comes out, the debt you have paid down does not show up so they try to pay off your "debt" that doesn't even exist. We unfortunately had a close date right after the Thanksgiving weekend, but it seemed as if they rushed the closing disclosures before they left for the whole weekend, stating they would be reaching out to us to discuss. The amount in an email was way less than the final disclosure they sent. We have no clue what we will be paying when we show up to the title company, bright and early Monday morning, we do not know if we do not know how they will take our cash to closing costs. We have been left, with our credit being pulled one more time, telling us our interest rate is lower, but the disclosure does not show that. Not to mention the amount of people we have talked to discussing our loan, we can never get a straight answer and nobody is on the same page. I highly recommend going with a local bank to do your home financing, my sister is a loan officer and does mortgage's unfortunately in another state, so that has been my only blessing of help.

Employee quoted me an interest rate for a new loan on September 1
Employee quoted me an interest rate for a new loan on September 1. However, a trainee took over and did not contact me for four days. Then, she started emailing me at 4:45 am, claiming to be in charge. This wasted five days, and she kept demanding items that were already submitted. This ongoing incompetence and delays were due to extreme requests, even though the same information had been submitted to other loan companies and approved. Additionally, they sent me a form stating that I would have to pay late fees if the loan doesn't close. There was repeated documentation delay, and I reported this to Mr. [employee's name] and her supervisor. They keep upsetting me while I am driving, even though the documents are self-explanatory. I have seen other complaints on ComplaintsBoard.com and [redacted]s regarding similar issues.

Charged me for appraisal (never done) when I refused to proceed with them I spoke on multiple occasions with Kara and Tyler from Wyndham Capital regarding my mortgage. During the process for locking the rate on 2/15, on more than 1 occasion with Kara and Tyler who took my credit card, they stated that this is just a HOLD and my card WILL NOT be charged until appraisal will be ordered and I can cancel my loan application with then without getting any fees. I agreed to lock the rate for now until my inspection if finalized for the property. I found a new lender with better rate the next day on 2/16 and called Kara as well as sent email saying that I am going with different lender. Following day on 2/17 I see a charge on my credit card (see picture attached) that actually posted and not a HOLD/ PENDING. I contacted Tyler and Kara regarding this which is very upset and frustrating. So far still waiting on refund. Not very professional and very pushy in sales tactics.

After getting to the very end of our loan refinance, Wyndham Capital Mortgage Decided to add a revision in our appraisal the day before completion of the deal. This in turn added 3-4,000$ to our cash to close and raised our LTV above the 75% threshold which would require us paying them much more out of the loan and out of pocket to keep it below the 75% LTV.1. This is unethical and an uncalled for action. The appraisal came in at the start at 350,000$ which we were told in the beginning we would not need to pay but did have to pay when it came time. After weeks of gathering documentation and weeks of waiting on appraisal we are finally ready to close. Then out of nowhere a revision lowered the amount 7,000$ to 343,000$ and disrupted the whole thing. 2. This is the reason so many people have lost faith in the financial system. We have always paid our mortgage on time and have never had an issue like this in the multiple houses we have flipped.3. This will damage our credit as they dragged their feet pushing this past the 30 day shopping window and also waited until mid November right before Christmas to revise the appraisal to benefit them at the cost of there being no Christmas for my 3 kids. Having said that, this company has proven to be the least reputable mortgage company I've dealt with. We have had loans through, PennyMac, Lakeview, and other companies and have never once heard of a revision on an appraisal. If no satisfactory response is found here we will be pursuing civil legal action.

On September 15, I closed on a home with Wyndham Capital as my loan provider
On September 15, I closed on a home with Wyndham Capital as my loan provider. When I was shopping for a loan in July, I contacted one of the agents, [Agent's Name], and asked him if he could file the necessary paperwork to get me the Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC). He agreed to do so. I qualified by income and house price. A few days before closing, my real estate agent noticed in the preliminary paperwork did not include the fee for the MCC. The agent contacted [Agent's Name], who told him that I had changed my mind and opted not to get the MCC. This never happened. I emailed both of them with screenshots showing my desire for the MCC in my previous emails. [Agent's Name] never responded, for this or any other reason. I included this complaint in the post-closing customer survey that Wyndham Capital Mortgage sent me, but I never heard back from them, either. The MCC is a valuable asset, worth thousands of dollars over the lifetime of home ownership, and as [Agent's Name] knew from a previous email, this is my lifetime home. He could have refused to help me with the MCC before I agreed to accept Wyndham Capital as my loan provider, but either he lied to me, to my realtor, or both. I would like Wyndham Capital to offer some compensation for my considerable financial loss. Their paperwork guarantees a $5K payment for a late closing date: I assume they can offer such a payment for a much more expensive broken promise.
Wyndham Capital sent my personal information including my SSN, name, address and loan information to someone outside
Wyndham Capital sent my personal information including my SSN, name, address and loan information to someone outside their company in clear text. I used Wyndham Capital to purchase my current home over two and a half years ago. They sold my mortgage to Wells Fargo and I've had no contact with them since then. I received a letter dated 10/16 stating that an email was sent by a Wyndham Capital employee to an undisclosed email address outside of their company which contained my personal information including my SSN, name, address and loan information in clear text to someone outside their company. I have placed multiple calls to the number in the letter trying to find out why they were looking at my information and what email domain it was sent to. I was told on my third call to the number listed that they are contracted by Wyndham to handle calls and are not actually part of Wyndham. All they do is log the calls and questions and someone from Wyndham should call me. I have yet to receive a call from Wyndham to answer my questions. I would like the following questions answered. 1. Why was someone at Wyndham looking at my personal information and why were they emailing it? 2. What email domain did they send my information to? 3. What policies is Wyndham implementing to keep this from happing in the future? This was not a data breach by a hacker, it was a Wyndham employee sending my information and this is unacceptable. Their misuse of my information puts me at high risk of identity theft. In the letter they offered me a year of credit monitoring. It's the same credit monitoring I've had for years, so that is of no help to me. By sending my information in clear text to another email system they have drastically raised the possibility of identity theft.

Recently completed a third refinance with Wyndham Capital and just like in the past, the whole transaction went very smoothly. I contacted a representative about what I wanted to do with my mortgage. He immediately worked up some numbers which were exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend Wyndham Capital Mortgage for your mortgage needs. I have worked with the same representative three times and was very pleased each time. I even recommended that my son contact him to manage his refinance, and both my son and his wife were pleased with the entire process.

It was challenging at times. But I feel that all staff members really tried to make it easier for us. They also appreciated our help during the process.
