I gave Garner Roofing $1,000.00 as a deposit to fix the hole in my kitchen ceiling and the one above on my tile roof
I gave Garner Roofing $1,000.00 as a deposit to fix the hole in my kitchen ceiling and the one above on my tile roof. These holes let water pour in when it rains. They gave me some paperwork, which I sent to my home owners insurance, State Farm. Garner Roofing cashed my check(s) on 02/22, but they didn't do any repairs or give me back my deposit when I asked.

During the roofin installashun, I also had JamesHardie cement fiber siding installed (from anotha company). Garner roofing broke my brand new trim and mounted raw board trim along the siding. Garner roofing never contacted me on any issues. The installashun crew pieced together the siding with white caulking and white caulked the raw siding board. I have tried various attempts for Garner to correct. I have not had any response to help with the problem. I have had all contact info "forwarded" to whoeva and someone will get back to me. No one has contacted me to help me on this. Just a bunch of "run around" from Garner. This incident happened April 2022.
Mr. Smith bid on a sagging gutter at a 2-story house
Mr. Smith bid on a sagging gutter at a 2-story house. He quoted a price, and during my hospital stay for treatment, he installed a dark brown gutter instead of a matching one. I was absent for the installation and never signed a contract in person, which should make it void. I object to the mismatched gutter, and his company wants $150 to repaint it, which is unfair on top of the $295.00 paid by credit card. I've discussed this with his staff, but they insist the e-signature suffices. I'm requesting a remedy for the unsightly gutter that doesn't reflect my home's design. Thank you, Jane Doe. P.S. He proposed painting it white for an additional $150, but his work is unsatisfactory.

In August, I hired Garner Roofing to put a new roof and HVAC unit
In August, I hired Garner Roofing to put a new roof and HVAC unit. They finished, but in September, when it rained a little, there was a leak in the new roof. I called, but they didn't return my call. At the beginning of November, it rained again and there was more leaking. I called again, and this time they showed up to repair it. However, they couldn't do anything because it was raining and there was water on the roof. They said someone would come back in the morning, but no one showed up or called. They covered my HVAC with a big tarp without telling me, and luckily I checked the roof before using it, or I could have damaged the whole thing. I'm almost 60 and I don't appreciate having to go on the roof to remove their stuff that shouldn't be there. I had to do it because it's 35 degrees at night. I called again and talked to the manager, who guaranteed that this would be taken care of. It's unacceptable that I still haven't heard anything from him, and he hasn't even checked up on it. This is not good management. The owners need to know what is happening, and I should be compensated in some way. I have now found another new leak in another room. I am hiring another company to come and look at the roof because I don't trust that it was done right. I don't like being lied to repeatedly, especially when I just spent a lot of money.
I hired Garner Roofing to put a new roof on so I could install solar panels
I hired Garner Roofing to put a new roof on so I could install solar panels. The roof never leaked in all the years I lived here. But after they installed the new roof, it started leaking after the first light rain. They came to fix it and admitted it was their fault. They patched it up, but then they called the office and suddenly claimed it was a preexisting issue and they weren't responsible for any damages. The first repair still leaked after the next rain. They came out again for a second repair, but it also leaked during the next rain. During the third repair, they moved my AC unit and made the leak even worse in a new area. And then they had the audacity to say it wasn't their fault at all.
I asked them what their plan was, but they didn't respond for weeks. I had multiple conversations with different people, including the owner Jerry Garner, who kept saying he needed more information. I had to hire another roofing contractor to fix the problems they caused. And for the HVAC leak, I had to replace my HVAC unit and hire an HVAC specialist to do it. Throughout all of this, they kept insisting it wasn't their fault and that they had already told me about these issues, which is simply not true. They even charged me extra for other things they found on the roof, but never mentioned that the HVAC unit would be a problem.
After they stopped responding and I hired others to fix the leaks, I had already paid them in full for the roof. But then Jerry Garner suddenly claimed they only wanted a balance of $3,558 for the solar installation. I had to hire my own electrician to finish the work because they weren't qualified to do it, and the city had even stopped them for code violations. However, after Jerry had told me the amount and agreed to it, he later filed a lien for $4,558.
In early 2019, we hired Garner Roofing to put a new roof on our house
In early 2019, we hired Garner Roofing to put a new roof on our house. They did the job, but they took out our solar attic fan without asking or telling us. We only found out during the inspection when it was missing. Their workers said they threw it away because it didn't seem to work, but they didn't know it had a thermostat to control it. Since it was still cold at that time, it couldn't work properly. After talking with our salesperson and the owner, they agreed to install a new fan with similar power. The new fan was really loud, but it did work. However, in June , it stopped working. The manufacturer offers a 5-year warranty, so on July 15 at 10 am, I called to ask for a replacement. I spoke to someone named *** who said they would call me back at 4 pm (they close at 4:30). I called again and talked to *** and ***, who said the owner was away for the week but would be back on Monday. They promised to call me back. On July 22 at 2:30 pm, I called again and spoke to ***, who said she would talk to the boss and get back to me by lunchtime the next day at the latest. On July 23 at 4:42 pm, I left a message with Abraham, but the office was closed. On July 24 at 10:15 am, I called again and spoke to Ashley, who transferred me to ***, who asked me to text her a copy of the warranty so she could order a new one. Since I still hadn't heard from anyone by July 29 at 10:23 am, I called again and spoke to ***. He said *** (the boss) and *** were in a meeting, and now he would handle my warranty. He said he would review the file and call me back. *** did call back and said he would contact the manufacturer for a replacement. On August 13, in the early afternoon, I called again and spoke to ***. He said he would talk to the owner about the replacement because he didn't get a reply from the manufacturer. The owner said to go ahead and order a new one for us. *** said he would order it right away, and it would be delivered between August 27 and September 1. He also said he would email me a copy of the receipt in case we needed it for future warranty issues. On September 8 at 3 pm, I called and spoke to ***, who said *** was on leave. She said she would check on the order and get back to me today or tomorrow because she was helping two other clients today.
On June 27, I hired Garner Roofing to fix my mobile home roof
On June 27, I hired Garner Roofing to fix my mobile home roof. They promised that their own workers would do the job, not some other guys. But as soon as they started, they messed up big time. They stepped right through my roof and ceiling not once, not twice, but FOUR times! They made a huge mess in my newly renovated living space and wrecked my ceiling, beams, walls, and molding. It was only then that I found out that this guy named *** wasn't even a Garner Roofing worker. He was some unlicensed subcontractor and his crew were a bunch of unskilled workers who caused all the damage. After they messed up, *** and his crew just left the job and left all the junk in my yard. When they took off the old roof, they found even more damage and Garner Roofing suggested I get a structural engineer to check it out. So, I did and paid for it. I gave Garner Roofing the report with all the repairs that needed to be done. The inspector said the decking had to be replaced and some other stuff needed fixing too. But Garner Roofing did everything they could to avoid doing what the inspector said. They dragged their feet and took forever to finish the job. Meanwhile, I've been stuck living in a messed-up bedroom and kitchen, waiting for them to finish the roof and fix my ceiling. And to make things worse, while they were trying to fix the ceiling, they messed up my new floor. They scratched it with nails and scaffolding, left marks from ladders, and got paint stains all over. They did most of the ceiling repairs, but they didn't finish caulking and painting. There were still cracks, gouges, and seams that needed to be caulked. And they didn't even use primer, so a second coat was needed. I told the Garner guys about all the stuff that still needed to be done, but they didn't seem to care. They just kept working without any regard for the damage they were causing. I talked to *** (the owner) and *** (the general manager) many times to try to sort things out, but they either said someone would call me back (which never happened) or they just ignored me. It's been 9 months now that I've had to live like this, and Garner Roofing doesn't seem to care about fixing the problem. So, I'm taking action and asking for help. I have pictures to prove everything I've said.
