I switched to Geico on April 18th from Liberty Mutual for car insurance. I had two vehicles a 2015 Ford Fusion and 2011 Chrysler 200. With any vehicles you need to have photo inspection done to have collision coverage on vehicle. I got photo inspection done on Ford Fusion, but was going to get the inspection done on other vehicle this week. On May 7th the Chrysler 200 was involved in an accident and the front hood, bumper, light, radiator need to be replaced. I contacted Geico and was told by agent Michelle W. that although I had not gotten photo inspection yet I still had collision coverage on the vehicle and once vehicle is repaired to get photo inspection to continue coverage. Then on the 9th I speak to a claims adjuster Steve Borgio who tells me that they sent me a letter on April 4th stating that if car wasn't inspected by May 3rd that coverage would be suspended. I never received this letter I told him that his people confirmed that of date of accident I had coverage. On May 9th I even spoke to a Makayla in customer service who confirmed that vehicle had collision coverage still and even emailed me a binder as proof of such. I forwarded this to Mr. Borgio who tells me that yes I had coverage, but because I didn't have the vehicle inspected they can back date and strip vehicle of coverage as of May 3rd. I responded "so if I hadn't gotten into an accident your company would have still charged me for the coverage then when I did would have back dated it not to pay the claim"? Of course he did not know how to respond to this. He also has yet to provide proof the letter was sent. I do not understand how multiple customer service agents stress I have coverage, but yet their claims dept is trying to work a loop hole and be deceptive in not paying this claim when you sent me proof that I had the coverage on the policy date of accident. What they are saying is they were supposed to eliminate coverage on the 3rd, they didn't, because if they did I would have been notified and immediately got the inspection. So instead, they look at is we failed to take off this coverage, he had it still, so we will just back date and deny the claim. Even some of their own customer service agents can't comprehend this. This is fraudulent and deceptive business practice.

On April 19, 2016 My vehicle was vandalized in the middle of the night my fiancé noticed the damage the next morning and immediately contacted the state police in return I followed up by contacting Geico and submitting a claim to get the repairs done the following day we had a claims adjuster come out and give us our quote and allowed them to set up to get our vehicle towed to the repair facility of our choice since the truck was towed the tow company and the repair shop noticed a lot more damage that the Adjuster didn't see on his initial visit. He returned to the repair facility on April 22, 2016 and noted that more damage has his original quote. Since then my fiancé has done all followed everything that Geico has asked of us we had to have an investigator come to our home to interview us regarding this claim he called us numerous times trying to help complete this claim. Since we stopped speaking with the investigator over two weeks ago we were supposed to be notified by insurance company what's going on and when the vehicle would be done and what other damages weren't noted in adjusters second quote we have tried numerous times to call Geico regarding our claim and they continue to tell us that the claim is under investigation and has been under investigation since April 22, 2016 we would like the investigation to come to an end so that we can get our vehicle fixed its been 21 days that our vehicle has been sitting in the body shop untouched due to Geico not telling there customer or the body shop what's going on with the claim. We don't have car rental on our policy so the longer the claim investigation takes the more we don't have our car but we still have to pay insurance premiums, car payments and our deductible when the vehicle is complete.

Dear Shaheen,
Your silence does not solve our enormous hard ship, you (Geico) created!
For your information, we left the US on Sep. 30th 2015 to Europe and returned April 30th 2016 to the US.
During this time, all our vehicles were garaged; nobody had ever touched or operated our vehicles.
Your negligence, to charge the amount of $ 1, 077.30 due from Barclay Credit Card, on November 2nd and on November 3rd 2015 let to this enormous hard ship.
Confirmed by the conference call, made on 05.01.2016 between Mrs. Shana, (Geico), Barclay Card and myself (Udo Warmhold), shows, Geico, had never even attempted to collect the above amount due. Barclay Credit Card had no record of any attempt, that Geico, tried to collect any money.
Presently, we are totally home bound, we can’t visit our doctors, buy medication nor can we buy any food.
In the meanwhile we are talking to the following Departments!
New York Department of Financial Services
Attorney General of New York
Bureau of Consumer Protection
Federal Trade Commission
State Consumer Protection Office
Warrant Buffett (we send a memo to him)
Motor Vehicle, Financial Security Bureau.
And soon to varies News Papers,
In order to correct the disaster, you have to reinstate our policy electronical with the DMV from: November 25th 2015 to May 02nd 2016 and charge the amout of $1, 077.30 to our BarclayCreditCard.
We give until: May the9th (12:00PM ) 2016 to correct this enormous hard ship, since it is you, who put us in this horror full situation and only can get us out of it.

claims trouble
I was hit by another Driver with Geico, 100% his fault he did not deny it. He gave us his insurance and never made a claim, i did. Then I tried to get in contact with Melanie my adjuster as far as a rental and ended up with absolutely no response, so i called and called till FINALLY the police report came, i was told Geico is taking 100% liability and i was able to get into contact with Melanie. She told me my rental will be taken care of. i am still currently paying out of pocket for rental. Today i found out that my car will not be ready and i am going to wait longer and continue paying for the rental, well im out of money for this rental and i am AGAIN trying to get into contact with Melanie to work something out with the continuing costs of this rental and again NO ANSWER I am not surprised now I am just upset. still waiting for someone to help me with my rental.
insurance claim
I was involved in a accident with one of geico drivers the driver admitted to me and the police he was 100% at fault. The driver never called the accident in I did the night of geico never contacted me I contacted them today and they said they tried several times to contact him in haven't succeeded. So today they finally talked to him and cthoughalled back to say investigation is closed they find there driver 75 % at fault and me 25% at fault because I said I didn't see him until impact and if I would've saw him sooner than maybe I could have swerved out of the way? Pure bull I can't believe geico is acting like this i've had them before and thought they were a good company I was wrong. Liars frauds
Dear Sabrina26:

auto accident claim
I've had Geico for multiple years. And have not had to file until recently. My vehicle was parked out front of my home and struck by a drunk driver. For a week I repeatedly called Geico so that I can start the process of having my car repaired or totaled out and reimbursed.
I spoke with multiple Representatives none of which gave me the same information on how to proceed .Each time it was a different story. I was first told that the police report would be sufficient enough for them to find fault in the driver and that I would get a call back later that day, after no call back I called up again and was told the police report is not enough they need to give him 5 days to respond .
I called back again ( same day) to ask about a rental car for the time being .since Geico also represents me and told me that the other drivers policy would pay for my rental car.
I was then told I have to wait a week before I can get a rental car. Because they needed to give the other driver 5 business days and one weekend to respond .the five days that he was allowed turned into 7. Before they could find him at fault even though he was arrested for DWI and the police report clearly states he was double the legal limit and my vehicle was parked!
I was very annoyed and waited the 7 days. Within the seven days I was never assigned a claims adjuster .
After waiting more than the 7 days. I call up and that's when I am told I first need to be asigned a adjuster. who will then go over the process with me regarding the rental car and what steps need to be taken to have my car fixed or given reimbursement, and this is after you've been given the police report 'insurance information on the other driver as well as photos more than .7 Days Later you and still have not assigned me a claims adjuster which should have been done the day I made the claim.
I speak finally speak with the claims adjuster who tells me the driver at fault has " low property insurance" and because of that they will not pay for my rental car! And that if the damages and expenses exceed $5, 000 the remainder balance will have to come out of MY underinsured motorist insurance. Reguardless of knowing whether or not that they will go over the 5000, he prematurely refuses me a rental car?
In case they end up having to come out of their own pocket .He's basically covering his bets and doing it at my expense.
I find this to be an extremely poor representation of me his client, the victim of a drunk driver. (as geico also represents me).
I am not at fault . And I am not being respected and treated as such. I should not have been told a rental car would be paid for when it's not. It wasn't an outrageous exspectation. you're not keeping your word because you're hedging your bets and taking advantage of me as a client.
It's been 2 weeks. I still don't have an appraiser assigned or a scheduled appointment with him or her. I was told the original appraiser I was to be assigned to was going on vacation the following day and wouldn't be taking any more clients! I still don't have a vehicle and my car is still in the impound occurring daily charges.
It doesn't make sense or it's illegal anything over his cap you should sue him for reimbursement in small claims court Or I will should I have to come out of pocket .
I am extremely disappointed by the unprofessional and unethical representation I have experienced from Geico . the constant misinformation being given by your customer care representative is exhausting. you're claims Adjusters are un-ethical and they should be exposed for their authority to bend the truth to suit their needs.
It's truly disappointing that even though the accident was not my fault. I still have to contact my own personal attorney so that I could be aware and prepared for the misinformation Geico continues to give me with this claim.
tv commercial with car alarm
Geico needs to stop running that stupid annoying ad in the early morning hours! They should concentrate on lowering their rates for customers who don't work for the government and live in urban areas. I think Warren Buffet has enough money, so try running that annoying commercial after 7:00 am.
Thank You,
Edward Baldwin
increase in insurance quote on updating name
I tried updating my and my husband name in geico .they had given me certain quote which I was having for 3 months I updated my incorrect name and they increased my quote saying that they do not consider my Indian driving license while creating my insurance they did consider Indian driving license in three months they changed their policy and they have increased policy because I updated incorrect name.i even have proof of they accepting my Indian driving license in email geico is denying to accept that .this is sheer unlawful and fooling customers.

Concerning Auto Claim #[protected]. We were in an accident, which was not my fault on Dec. 22, 2015 in route to Christmas time with Family. We were over 100 miles from home (Greenville, SC). By the time we were able to obtain a rental car, which was slim picking at this time of year, at the Greenville airport (thank god, the family was able to get a ride to the airport from the police), it was in the vicinity of midnight (yes, 12:00am). The charge for the vehicle (from National), once returned (5 days), was around $590.00, which we dropped off in Charlotte, NC (our home area). We apparently are receiving $150.00 reimbursement for the $590.00, from GEICO, because apparently, that's all my policy covers, even under the extreme conditions. So, apparently I eat the remaining $440.00? Wonderful!... I do have additional uninsured insurance, which apparently does no good in this case. SWEET!...Thanks GEICO! So it is now 1/7/15 and I still know nothing about my crashed vehicle either (16 days). Well, the brain child who left his vehicle parked on I-85's lane didn't have insurance, so not only do I have to pay the $440.00 I also have to pay $500.00 deductible. Nice huh! Please understand that I am not a multi millionaire like the CEO's of GEICO, the better part of $1000.00 hurts along with having to have money to probably replace a car that is a total loss...Merry Christmas...it wasn't too much of one for us, and now its not much of a great New Year either. Yours Truly John H Venier
car insurance
I was hit by a car rear ended in Los Angeles. I was forced to rent a car while I had body work done. When Geico insurance adjuster refused to pay Ifiled a complaint with the state of California Insurance Commission. Geico waited and waited and forced me to continue with the rental car two weeks after it was repaired because they would not pay. I've never seen a company backpedal so fast and pay my claim without any more trouble. The CA Insurance Commissioner rescued me from having to eat it. They can save you too.
unethical behaviour
My daughter was recently killed in a motor vehicle accident. She had Geico insurance. She was 25 and had a policy on her own with Geico. Neither myself, my wife or any other family members have Geico coverage. After my daughter passed away I noticed in her mail that she owed Geico $283 for a previous premium payment that was due. Out of courtesy I called Geico and explained what happened and asked them if t hey needed me to mail in a copy of the death certificate so they could clear my daughter's debt. The Geico representative tried to get ME to pay the bill. I was angry beyond belief. When I explained that my daughter died and that I do not have coverage with Geico and that I am not legally responsible for any of my daughter's debts, they threatened me to get a lawyer! Can you imagine the freaking insenstivitity of this company!? But I still mailed in a letter along with a copy of my daughter's death certificate and they are still sending bills to my daughter's old address. For $283! They spend tens times that in advertising during one football game.
insurance claim
My car was set on fire November 20th. I was not at fault. It isn now December 22 and I have had little to no help from Geico. Sandra Rodriguez who is over my claim has only ever called me back once and when she did she was rude! I have cancelled my insurance with geico. Worst service ever. I have recieved on reimbursement check for using rental and out of the $561 I was charged by budget I only got $240 back. I'm submitting another reciept and the fax number conveniently doesn't work 3 times. I have called geico almost every single day and still have not gotten anywhere. They debited my account for my insurance premium AFTER I cancelled them. Still waiting for checks in the mail. Now my bank account is OVERDRAWN and I am on medical leave of absence from work due to the stress of my car. I can't even get into a doctor until January 6. Geico has screwed me over. I will never ever ever have insurance with such a terrible company again! I am getting a lawyer to sue for all the extra charges due to Geico's negligence. You tried to screw the WRONG person.
unethical behaviour
I was hit by an motorist covered by Geico. He accepted liability. He sent in claim information to Geico at the scene of the accident. Geico contacted my insurance the next day and accepted liability as well. The insured was driving a rental car and now Geico is stating they are having to get the insurance information from enterprise before they can settle, which is ludicrous. They have accepted the responsibility and if they need to go subrogate with enterprise, then so be it but in the mean time my claim with Geico is being suspended. It took two weeks before the auto dealer would even touch my car and i had to be the one to initiate it. Now my insurance has had to take responsibility so that i would have a car to drive to get to work. My car insurance is now having to do the subrogation with Geico which is even more ludicrous. I have to come up my deductible and as of Sunday, I will have to come up with the out of packet for the rental car. For the laws to dictate that car drivers must have insurance, it does not do anyone any good if we are continuing to have to be the ones to pay for the accidents due by others. I am frustrated and I have had to be the one put out of this whole mess while minding my own business and being the 'safe' driver. I have yet to hear back from Geico and my car is supposed to be ready this week with no indication on how to proceed. Will I have to come up with the expenses when I go pick up my car? this is totally uncalled for. I have made myself sick with all that has happened, not to mention that my car was not even 1 year old. They have had it since 11/17/15. I have paid my insurance premiums like clock work and this is how it goes for those of us who have lived by the law? I am not stopping here with my complaint. I am not sure where the next step is, but I will not stop until it has been known that honest, paying citizens should not have to be penalized for doing their diligence in obeying the law and those insurance companies still penalize us. My car will probably never be the same again. I have been warned that Geico like so to drag ther tails when it comes to paying claims and I will do everything that I can to let those I know that this is so true. I will warn anyone who intends on purchasing Geico insurance to think twice about and feel compassion for those when are hit by motorist insured by Geico insurance. Yah, your commercial may be funny, but funny does not pay the bills. NO longer will I laugh or view your commercials. Hope the don't cost you much since that seems to be where your revenues are being paid to.
ad
The Peter Pan advertisement is reflective and supportive of the attitudes of some young, wise guy, people today. Smart mouthed, not necessarily smart. It is insulting to older adults and it would seem to me that Geico would not like to demean that segment of the populace. Withdrawing the ad would be the only solution to the problem.
Nicely put. This is the most rude ad I've ever seen, surely Ggeico does not want these results. Where is the respect for older adults? Take it off.

To whom this may concern: I have been abused by Humberto and his inspection team from Geico insurance. He and his inspection team Alexander and another female have given their word and taken it back server times. This company is not reliable. Back in 2014 I had an accident with the front left side of my car (minor damage) front bumper was dented not...

This Geico TV commercial depicting Peter Pan is the most degrading, prejudice and annoying commercial I've ever seen. The character degrades adults by the comments and the overall pitch 'you make me feel so young'. I trust that Geico's adult customer population will be as offended by this commercial as I am and will take their business to a company that i...

To Geico Insurance Company, I have been with Gecko a least I thought a value customer over eight years, I left State Farm to come over to Geico, up until today Geico have never let me down. As usual I called Geico the beginning of October the 30th 2015 to stop my debit payment until the 16th of November, after waiting around a few days for Geico to debit their payment from my bank account the money was still in my account, keep in mind I talk to Geico on the 15th and 16th of November about my claims no one did not inform me that I wasn't cover as of the 15th of November 2015. Today November 20, 2015 I call Geico to ask them why did'nt they debit my account for my insurance payment and the caller said that my insurance was cancel with Geico as of the 15th of November 2015, and I ask why, the caller stated that I had no arrangement which if my history on making payments was check you will see that I have never been cancel with Geico or any insurance company, I have never lack on keeping Geico inform on my payments, but a lie was told to me today, The caller advise me that I have to reapply for Insurance all over again with $ 477.00 down and $ 393.00 a month, I was paying $ 220.00 a month, the caller said my payments went up due to my accident I had back in January remind you now that was my first physical accident I had since I been with Geico. I guess that a punishment that I get for being on a fix income and disable, today I had no fight with Geico I feel like I was Scam, Rip-off by a big company from the one I supported over 8 years GEICO. Thanks Geico,
failure to pay a claim / but its their fault,
On 10/9/15 I was traveling on a 25mph road pulling my enclosed 6x12 trailer when a vehicle came from a side street and struck my trailer in the middle right side of it. The police report says the vehicle that struck my trailer did not yield to my vehicle that had right of way. The other driver said my trailer was speeding and swaying.it was a 25mph road and there was traffic moving around 25 mph. Max. This is a total lie. geico said that they are not paying for my trailer damage, even though I had right of way.
tv commercial
You have recently started broadcasting a commercial which shows a boy representing Peter Pan. It is disappointing to see you showing Peter Pan as a dis-respective youth to his elders. Making fun of them. Peter Pan has always been a beloved fairy tale character. You have depicted him like so many in the world, no respect for anything or anyone.
The commercial of Ickey Woods chimping around in the grocery store deli department was bad enough the first time around...why did tou have to revive it? The man behaves like a retarded child! The commercial is insulting on many levels, and I wish your public relations department would just destroy it and film something new!
All Geico ads are offensive! A year or two ago there was that one with the talking penguins that talked like stereotypical African American men that was Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen level of racism. I have seriously hated this company for years now because of their offensive ads and constant shoving said ads down my throat every five minutes! If I want to use an insurance that bombards people constantly with ads and has an annoying mascot, I’ll call Progressive! I’d rather eat toxic waste and die a painful death than to use Geico.
please take your commercial off the air regarding over use of bubble wrap. It is an insult to the public and the mental health community. It is so disrespectful to anyone viewing this . Its not even funny.
Your commercials underestimate my intelligence!
The commercial w/ the girl calling her friend dude, dude is stupid . What girl calls another girl "dude". it really aggravates me.
Geico your commercials for your insurance sales are absolutly sickening! You insult our families with your poorly timed mom calls, tearing apart our most treasured nursery rhymes and fairy tales from mother goose and grimms fairy tales! Its no wonder you have locations in boulder, westminster, arvada, aurora colorado closing soon. Who the f_@× would buy insurance from you?!? I heard you dont cover even half of what you claim to cover or pay insurance claims when they are legit. Stop your disgustingly family disrespectful commercials or pay the families of the original authors or the decendents of the original authors plus the families who are traumatized by your tearing apart our nursery rhymes and fairy tales for your sick purposes and entertainment! I see much more of them and i will snap! I would not post this if i was not being pushed to my snap point by the blatent disrespect of family values and treasures with your nursery geico tales💩
Geico makes a lot of racist commercials plus. They are a lousy Corporation my advice don't do Business. With them
We had Geico Insurance until very recently. I love the lizard commercials. The sick, insulting attitude to senior customers just lost them our business. How many times do you have to watch that poor man get kicked in the face by the Flying Punk, before you stop giving them your money? This is what an insurance company does that wants to get rid of their senior base and change their customer demographics. Who do you think this ad appeals to? Why would seniors do business with a company like this? Wait till they find out that younger customers have absolutely no loyalty! Show them that rudely disrespecting any customers is not an acceptable way of doing business, and close your account with them! If they do it to one group, they would do it to whoever they want to target. Anyone who thinks that ad is clever has a sick sense of humor and knows absolutely nothing about business! Sales is about building relationships, not treating people like this! The commercial is played over and over, so the insults keep repeating!
Geico is a second rate outfit not only do their commercial sux their insurance does also thank goodness for the mute button, wish they had one to blank the picture short of the off button!
Bring back the cave men; even they can do it better.
customer service
Geico is supposed to be this great insurance company? Right … . My daughter added another car to their insurance policy a few weeks ago. They should have had a Mazda 3 and 6 on their insurance policy. The insurance agent replaced the car, instead of adding a car, on the policy. Maybe the 6 and 3 confused them, who knows? So Saturday, she and my son-in-law are rear ended and Geico tells them they don’t have insurance for this car in spite of copies of emails that Geico was sent showing that the agent messed up from the get go. In this accident there is no claim against my daughter’s policy with Geico because they were stopped, in front of a police officer directing traffic I might add, but Geico’s answer is too bad we blew it but that car is not covered. We won’t process the paper work for the accident, we will be happy to take your payments for car and home owners insurance, but we won’t make right our mistake. Needless to say my daughter and son-in-law will be looking to find another insurance carrier for their insurance needs if someone does not step up and make this right. This would be a bad move Geico. You will be losing a customer who pays their bills on time and has never had to file a claim before. Their first claim and it has turned into a nightmare. This should have been a simple phone call since they have no fault in the accident. No one should be victimized by the people who are paid to help them. Shame on you!
