Inplants
I had 4 implants placed on lower gums. 1 failed which I complained about 4 times and went in for xrays and was told it was fine. When they went in to take stitches out Dr said that it never took to bone and needed to come out. Was the worst PAIN EVER! The other 3 did okay for about a year then started having problems with infections and all of a sudden bone loss around them. I had perfect bone before they put them in. I went to take denture off and inplant came out with it. That was the 1st one. Happened again 4 months later. I have 1 inplant left.
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund
Dental implants
A few years ago I had dental implants in the front of my mouth with a bridge of 3 teeth. The bridge has never stayed in. Every 6 months or so the bridge has to be re-glued. One of the teeth that the bridge was next to has shifted and now the bridge comes out every 2 weeks. I can not continue to take time off from work to have this reglued. I paid a lot of money for implants and the bridgework and this is not an acceptable situation. At this point I need to have everything pulled and get a full upper denture. This is not an acceptable situation, Please reimburse me for the work done so I can get this fixed.
Desired outcome: Refund for work completed as the implant /bridge is not permanent as implied.
Inappropriate supervisor
On two occasions that I was at the Grants Pass, Oregon location I observed the "manager/supervisor" yell at, be little, rack an employee over the coals sort of speak while there were several patients waiting. The poor employee, young girl, did her best to maintain composure but not sure how she did. My most recent encounter was this week and apparently there is a new program that no one has been trained in. Not only did this so called manager not help the employees but she was extremely verbally abusive to the front desk people. As an employer of a small business myself, these actions of your manager are unacceptable. I will no longer recommending this office nor will I schedule any further appointments. Before filing my complaint I spoke with friends and family about this office and was informed that this office has a very bad reputation for exactly what I am complaining about. Such a shame.
Desired outcome: If this employee has management experience/training then she would know this is unacceptable. If it were my employee she would be fired. If this employee does not have proper management skills then offering her some training might do.

Why am I paying for dental insurance if my teeth can only be cleaned every 4 months, and the next appointment is not until January, which is 8 months away? This is not acceptable, and I would like a refund of $55.00.
I am unable to be seen now unless I can do it online. However, I don't have a computer or texting on my phone. What am I supposed to do? I feel like I am being discriminated against because I don't have the necessary services on my phone or a computer. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation, as there are people who don't have these services or even a phone at all. I am using someone else's computer to send this message. This needs to change. You can't expect everyone to comply with the new paperless system. Membership number: [protected]-01.
Desired outcome: be able to get services without requiring to have a cell phone or a computer

I don’t numb well at all I told him that. He started to work. I told him i was not numb, so he gets the needle and proceeded to stock me. O jumped cause it hurt and he didn’t tell me he was sticking me. He got stuck. Then he got pissed dumped all his tools on me cut me with the scapal, told me to get out! I was already scared of dentist i told them. All he yelled everyone was in there could hear him. I was crying my head was bleeding! I was freaking out
Billing errors - unprofessional attitude
I was charged and fully paid for a mouth guard but they never fulfilled the order and I never received it. Received a bill, called billing mgr Rosa. She copped an attitude and refuses to provide me a refund. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She also refused to provide me with an itemized receipt of charges and refused to provide me with corporate contact.

I have contacted my local office with no help. I have been overcharged since the beginning (2020) of me using Gentle Dental in Derry, NH. I have an ongoing email trail with them stating that I have been overcharged, and they only say they know I have and that it has been corrected each time. This is incorrect. I should have a credit on my account of almost $600 and they are stating that this balance is $300. I have been very dissatisfied with the response of the local office, rather rude in fact.
I work for an insurance company and understand the GRID discount, and how I am not responsible for that, and you have a contracted rate which you need to accept.
Very dissatisfied. I have asked to speak with a manager without any call.
Desired outcome: Call from a manager and complete review of my account and refund check sent to me.
Front desk service
Date of incident: 10/14/2022
Time: 2:45PM-3PM
I went to Gentle dental Northpointe,
My daughter's appointment was supposed to last an hour, so we wait for her in the car and at the nearby Fred Meyer. 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment's end. I came inside and waited in the lobby. I noticed the front desk loud voice, which gave the impression that she was yelling at the client. which caught my attention. I brought my son with me so that my mother-in-law wouldn't be overwhelmed with taking care of two kids (my son is 4 years old).
A laminated poster was hanging in the desk, which was decorated for Halloween with spider webs. She arrived in front of the desk to mend the web but my son did not touch it so she pretended she was adjusting something there as my son was touching the laminated poster. She told him not to touch it and I called my son. My advice is to already be aware of the proper decorations to hang in the waiting room if you are aware that the clinic is kid-friendly. If you want to add decorations, place them on the ceiling so that children can't touch them.
I went to talk to her to find out how long I would have to wait as I had to pick up my other daughter from school. She said that a brace removal appointment would take four hours. That day, I was informed that the appointment would last an hour, so I wasted time waiting there. My son touched the small bucket while I was speaking with her, and the receptionist grabbed it from his hand. What if his hand got caught on the bucket's handle? My son was scared and hid behind me.
Desired outcome: I wish they would hire a nicer, more courteous, friendly, and helpful front desk. They provide the clinic's first impression.
Insurance billing issue
On 9/24/22 I submitted an email to [protected]@gentle1.com asking them to check the insurance billing codes. The last time I was in the office, 8/1/22, I was told that my insurance would not cover more than 2 cleanings per year. My insurance does cover an every-three-month perio schedule. I believe the paperwork may have been coded incorrectly. I’ve been...

Long story short...unless you have OHP or other state funded health care they won't even pull your tooth. They will refer you to a real dentist. They try to sell you crap you dont need. The dentist are the worst of the worst. I mean you can't imagine a talented dentist would work at the McDonald's of dentists. Wanted to like this place but it's just been bad experience after bad experience. I've left bad reviews almost everywhere I can.
Desired outcome: Hope they go out of business honestly.
Lucas Gill
Good afternoon.
My son, Lucas Gill had an appointment a couple months ago with the gental dental/ smile keepers location here in Grants Pass oregon. They did x-rays and determined then that he would need a cap on one of his back teeth. Scheduled an appointment for him ..which ended up being today a couple months later. Today he was to go in and have this tooth capped and takin care of. We went into the office and was told the dentist wasn't even in the office today who did the procedure and wanted to do more x-rays and just a cleaning. Why weren't we informed the dentist wasn't in? Why make an appointment and have him not even there to get my sons mouth fixed. Im extremely frustrated and confused as to why my 7 year old is being put through this wait. And now what? Why weren't the x-rays shared from his dentist office? They said everything is transferred to the other office BEFORE this appointment and is Why we had today scheduled.
Please forward this message to the correct department and please let me know what my next step is as to get my kiddo into an appointment as he was supposed to today.
Thank you

Crown
I wanted to get a broken tooth fixed after I decided to take off my braces with them, it was just a small part of a corner of the tooth, it was something very small, you could barely noticed it, but it had been bothering for months after it broke not getting a refill, but at gentle dental chula vista they said I needed a crown because the refill wasnt gonna work "its just gonna fall off"they said, I was told I needed crown, and that it was just something that was going to protect my tooth, so I agreed. They never said anything about removing most of the mass of my tooth, I didnt know what a crown was and I wasnt told the prosedure, there was no point in removing most of my tooth. I been having refills for 8 years in some of my tooth and they have never fallen off, for that specific tooth it was something really small, I just didnt remember at the time about the refills I already had, and I trusted the lady that told me I needed the crown, and of course she would say that when it was 9 times more expensive than just getting my tooth refilled, I feel lied to, and yes after I got the crown I had to sign that I got it and that the size was fine, what else was I supposed to do, theyve already took most of my tooth now there was no going back, I need that crown for the rest pf my life. I was gonna get more treatment, like finish with braces and getting my teeth whitened, a root canal, not after that. It's been months and every day I regret going there I went back once because I thought there was something wrong with the crown but I just need a root canal on the tooth next to the crown. They keep texting me about my unfinished treatment, I just wish they wouldve told me the procedurw and I wouldve never agreed to that, now I am looking for more honest place where I can finish my treatments. Iwish some day I can look at my smile and not look directly at the crown.
Desired outcome: Money back atleast.

Not checking if they accept your insurance before the treatment
Gentle dental waltham MA.
Date 5th Nov 2021 morning 10am. I was a new patient. I filled up the new patient form and they said they will be checking if the insurance is accepted or not and till then I can sit on the dental seat and be evaluated.
Later she said they don't accept our insaurance and charged us 103 dollars. Inspite of it not being our fault we paid.
We told them to atleast wave off the x ray charges and give us the x rays. The front office lady said she will talk to her manager on Monday if can be waived off and will get back. Which she never did.
On Monday the 8th of Nov. I called to know regarding the x rays twice and she said I need to pay to get the x rays.
I am totally frustrated with their bad communication and horrible service. I need atleast my x ray charges waived.

Good morning, I need to make a complaint against Gentle Dental and Dr. Rodriguez and Dr. Poidmore. On January 13, 2021 and had my teeth extractions and dentures put on. Battleground, WA gentle dental has not had a licensed orthodontist for two months. They continue to change my son's band colors and do no other care. I requested they allow him to go to Portland, OR so the orthodontist could at least move his treatment forward. The office manager said she would get right back to me. It's been three days and not a word. I have already paid for his treatment in full, but did not realize an orthodontist was not part of the package.
Desired outcome: I want my son to go to Gentle Dental Portland free of charge for a one time exams.
