I am writing because I have not had success in getting help with my Unemployment claim. In February 2022, I was employed with Bulldog Logistics located in Union City Georgia. The company closed and everyone employed with the company would not be working with the company. I filed for unemployment and my claim was denied. I filed an appeal and upon direction, another claim. That claim was also denied and combined. After approximately one year, I had my hearing which the owner attended and advised that the company closed, and he hung up. After about a week, I received the decision in the mail that stated that my claim was approved and that the benefits that were due to me would be deposited on a card that was mailed to me. I spoke with someone who explained to me the reason that I was receiving the card and not direct deposit. They explained how I could get the money off the card and I proceeded to use the card. Sometime later, I received a notice in the mail about an upcoming payment to repay an overdue balance. I was confused about why I would be paying back these funds as they were granted during the hearing. I have spoken with numerous people who have told me that I should file an appeal, there is no way to file an appeal because there were never any notices mailed to me about this balance. Every time someone looks at the claim, they are unable to explain to me why I have an overpayment. I did everything that I was supposed to do, I did not get paid for the time that I worked because I certified when I was supposed to and reported that I worked. No one ever calls me back or responds to messages, but this balance remains. I do not want this balance to be reported against me because it is not legitimate. I am hopeful that someone can look at this and help me and get this resolved as this is causing me unnecessary stress.
Desired outcome: Balance resolved
