Shipping pallets
In may 2023 I was looking for a company to ship 2 pallets. I got the wait of the machines from manufacturer and added 30 lbs for safety. I received a quote that I was ok with. Then I signed their bogus paperwork stating they can basically charge you any amount they want.. they do it by stating they reclassified you load . Long story short, the price was almost double what I was quoted. Worst experience I’ve every had . Sad businesses that are dishonest are still about to screw over customers.. wish I had read the other terrible reviews they have. Please, keep looking for a good, honest company…
Desired outcome: Refund for bogus reclassification of pallets.. weight and size was very close and should not cost almost double.

employment
This had to be the worst company I've ever worked for. The compensation never added up to what was promised and the people that work for this company are completely rude. They definitely don't care if you are half dead make sure you make it to work and on time. There is no work life balance and they could care less about you even when they try to make it seem like they do. And don't even ask about moving up into the company LOL Thats a joke! Take causion !

regarding the load details
We have a complaint for the following 2 agents:
1. Robert Williams, president of PrimeTime Global Logistics.
2. Chris Kavanagh
Please contact us regarding the following case:
We booked a load with the agents, it is a round trip load. After we have finished the first half of the load, they are forcing us to get the overweight permits. There is no any single word about the load being overweight and the permits. Now they want to recover the other half of the load and do not want to pay us which is illegal. The load number is [protected]. We have been working with GlobaTranz for a long time, and we know that GlobalTranz provides quality services and reputable company. However, cases like this damage the reputation and need to be handled. Please contact the ITF LLC manager regarding this case as soon as possible.

Horrible Experience with GlobalTranz
I was a top performing agent in the Southwest. I left in the middle of 2010. I had to wait to write the complaint because Andrew Leto is very litigious and has threatened to ruin the lives of several agents when they have left.
The concept of GlobalTranz is great but you have a crook and a thief that run the company. I have been in the business for 22 years and I have had good, great, and ok experiences. GlobalTranz is a nightmare. From what I hear the agents that are still there are too afraid to leave because they have been told that they will be sued.
The problems start off with the training in Phoenix where the lies and empty promises and overcommitments start. When I went through training, Mike Leto was teaching the class. You quickly find out that Mike Leto has no integrity. Software rollouts are done poorly and commission checks are rarely right. There is a thing called an adjustment report that if it is not done correctly Andrew Leto literally steals from your pocket.
Do yourself a favor and partner with another Broker or 3PL out there. There are plenty out there and the only one that has better programs out there than GlobalTranz is bait and switch agent models.

UNPROFESSIONAL. LATE. DON'T KNOW WHERE LOADS ARE.
Lying to me about Classifications and then Charging me more than 20,000 over what was quoted
Globaltranz is a Deceptive and Fraudulent business in my opinion, people please BEWARE! I am going to alert the media to my case, file with the BBB and finally I will be filing a lawsuit. I am looking for other people who have had similar experiences with Globaltranz who would also like to be a part of my lawsuit. We were approached by Globaltranz who said we would save money by using them. At the point of transfer we had an FAK with another company. They asked us to test out their system to see their "lower rates". I explained that I had an FAK and didn't actually know what class my furniture was. I gave them a very distinct and accurate description of my freight, and, as well, the agent visited my website and told me "We have checked and it's Class 150."
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Stated in writing my freight was class 150 then charged me at class 250.

Scam
Uship over charges (15%) to simply pass along the shipping to 3rd and 4th party for shipping. They charge you the fee up front (with no possibility for a refund)then pawn you off to numerous vendors. The billing is totally screwed up. You MUST establish an OPEN account with the un known shipping company. You MUST give them a credit card with an OPEN line of credit! You MUST sign and FAX this in. They lost it, and I had to re do it all over again! I made over 12 phone calls to get this going! Plan on 2-3 hours of your time!
The billing is done by ANOTHER outside company and is very UN-professional.
Farse
Since I have joined Global Tranz as an agent roughly 2.5 years ago they have gone back on several promises and have declared the contract that I signed with them no good. About a year ago they took it upon themselves to reduce truckload profit split from 50 to 40 percent...regardless of the fact that agents had contracts stating they were due 50%. Then, since they are hurting for cash they decided to take it one step further and declare all contracts null and void. They drafted up a new contract which puts much more money in their pockets as it takes away from the small to mid size agent and only rewards the top 10 %.
If you are considering joining Global Tranz I urge you to re-consider as they will make you feel really warm and fuzzy when you fly out to Phoenix and sit with them for a few days. They will also tell you that they have great customer service which is the furthest from the truth. I have lost several customers due to their requests for accounting adjustments being ignored for over two months by the accounting department.
There are about 12 of us disgruntled agents that keep in touch and we have decided to form a sort of union so that we can warn future prospects and also fight for the money that is being taken from us. There will be a blog/twitter or some place where present agents can submit complaints and where new prospects can get advice at some time in early 2011. Trust me when I say that Global Tranz does not want agents talking to each other and that is exactly what we are going to do. Sign up on this website to be notified about all Global Tranz issues and be looking for more information about this movement in early 2011.
Advertising lies
Globaltranz lists on their website some percieved accolades but when you dig a little deeper than the first line, you see it is nothing more that false advertising to boast about things that as you will see are lies in one form or another.
http://www.globaltranz.com/ lists two "articles" about them being the best place to work in 2010 (url: http://www.globaltranz.com/news/10-12-08/GlobalTranz_Voted_Best_Place_to_Work_in_2010.aspx?ReturnURL=%2fdefault.aspx) but guess what. They are merely an honoree run by the Phoenix Business Journal. A paid subscription. They are also ranked #10 Honoree for a business 50-99 employees. Here lies their second SCAM
http://www.globaltranz.com/ lists a second article about their CEO being one of Arizona's Top Entrepreneurs (url: http://www.globaltranz.com/news/10-10-28/GlobalTranz_CEO_One_of_Arizona_s_Top_Entrepreneurs.aspx?ReturnURL=%2fdefault.aspx) but guess what. Alndrew Leto lies about the staff size! "With a staff of over 100 industry professional" is HIS words in this article, CLEARLY A LIE!
the Inc 5000 that they list is clearly skewed since they are privately held and can state any amount of revenue and it cannot be verified. It also lists their staff @ 70 people.
WHICH IS IT YOU BUNCH OF LIARS?
AS YOU CAN SEE, GLOBALTRANZ IS MERELY A SHADOW OF WHAT THE SAY THEY ARE AND SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN FOR TRUTH SINCE THEY HAVE WARPED THESE TYPES OF PRESS RELEASES TO SUIT THEIR NEEDS, NOT CONVEY THE TRUTH.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Ah, yes... I personally, have heard rumors about how family is treated there... don't Andrew and Mike's parents both work second jobs to make ends meet? Did Andrew not basically "bully" his father into selling his business?
As far as how they treat their agents: well, if they would treat their parents' like that, then how do you think that they would treat complete strangers?
If you sign up as an agent with this company, brace yourself...not only will they promise you a much higher percentage of your profit margins than you will actually get (I have estimated that the agents end up with approximately 27-28% of their profit margins)...then come the "alignment reports"... Have fun trying to figure those out! you won't be able to make sales calls because you will spend most of your waking hours trying to figure out an excel spreadsheet full of "adjustments"...and if that's not enough...wait until one of your customers gets an "re-bill" invoice eight-ten months after they sent a shipment out...I could go on and on...
If you want to go into debt, lose your home, and have a complete and utter sense of failure, then sign their contract...
***Just remember, it is contractually binding, and they will sue you if you try to use your logistical expertise working with another company... I doubt they would ever win (they haven't so far)...but who wants the hassle of litigating with those types of people...not me, that's for sure...
Facts are facts - and what you have listed here are simple falsehoods. Globaltranz has 122 employees and the Inc 5000 list took the employee count at the end of last calendar year (2010) and not this year, but obviously you didn't take the time to reach the Inc 500/5000 underlying principles. Also, the same 122 employees voted on being a great place to work (I know as I was one of them) and it was done through a third party (not us or the affliate) to keep the results objective.
You should find a way to separate your emotions from your assessment of facts, to which your current assessment is very poor. I am sorry that your experience with our family was not a good one, but are a family owned business and treat all involved as such - one of the main reasons we continue to be listed on the Inc 500/5000 and get so much attention from the local press.
False advertising for employment opportunities
Beware before considering going to work for this company! Any and all sales reps should take heed before going all the way to phoenix to be trained and then robbed by global tranz. They lure you in with a promising profit split and then get you to the office, train you for 3 days which are full of promising profits and riches, then... At the end of the seminar they call you each in one by one and via peer pressure try to get you to sign their contract on the spot. They tell you that you get a 60/40 split on ltl and a 50/50 split on truckloads but don't bother to tell you until you read the fine print of your contract that you have to pay a 2.5 % invoicing fee on gross revenue as well as a 2% csr fee that goes towards having someone at their office answer your phone calls and track your freight.
Do the math! If you have a shipment with a profit of 100.00 you would expect to make 60.00. However, let's say the profit margin of the shipment was 20% and total charge of shipment to customer was 500.00.
Take the 2.5 % invoicing charge out of 500.00 = 12.50
Take the 2.0% csr fee out of the 500.00= 10.00
These two fees come directly out of your profit!
Total deductions for sending an invoice and having a csr - 22.50. (by the way the csr basically does nothing because your customer can quote and print bols and track online without any help at all).
Subtract 22.50 from 60.00 and you get= 37.50 from global tranz.
So! Your average profit split for doing all the work and spending your money paying for your phone, car and gas bills will be at best 37.50. It is even worse for truckloads because you only get 50 percent profit before all the deductions.
I signed on with global tranz in early 2009 and have been trying to make it work ever since. I have quoted over 120 truckloads to prospective customers and have only won 7 loads. This was done by only adding 10% per shipment as opposed to global tranz suggested 20% starting quote mark up. The ltl rates are good but they rob you on your profit split. Their truckload rates are horrible based on my 120 quotes.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I'm not very happy with Global Tranz service lately! My issue is not the price but with the service and not getting my freight picked up when I requested and for the last year now this has been happening with 80% of my request. I even tell them if it cant be picked up when I request it then tell me so. For example: Yesterday" MORNING" I called them for a same day pickup and they did not show up to pick up my freight. Then the next day I called several time & sent emails with no response, so 2:30 "next day" after several calls & emails I finally got a hold of someone to tell me it did not even go on the board the next day for pickup meaning if I didn't get a hold of anyone they would just forget about my shipment! This is not exceptable! If you cant pick it up or truck will be late call me and tell me not just forget about my request. Good prices but poor poor service! No communications with their customers VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Everything about this company is smoke and mirrors. They have high turn around and poor communication. The agent development team always changes. The invoicing is always messed up. I was fooled by the business development recruiter to come on board. They suck you in with waived software fees and a retainer but they do little to help you get loads covered. They attempted to change my contract after a year of doing business with them. They say capacity on the truckload side is good but really the only side of the freight they can cover is LTL. Over the last year other competitors are getting just as good prices, if not better. They make extra money on fuel surcharges. I do not recommend becoming an outside agent with this company .
Globaltranz has no character from the top down, all they are about is the $$$ not the customer or its own employees! They would fire their own mother if it would save them $$$ that is a fact. Just look at their turn over...New CEO every year not to mention the sales reps they burn through AND they DONT MAKE A SALARY! Dont mention the people that helped build this company to what it is today, all gone. These people were let go because they wouldnt let go the little ways Globaltranz gets their money. Maybe by raising your customers discount rates behind closed doors or by charging their own sales reps a $300 per month fee to work there? Unreal then on top of that, NO 401K, Benefits, Vacation time, or any room for advancement, unless your last name is Leto...This is your finally warning dont do business with them and dont work for them, good luck!
I am a current agent with Globaltranz and have started an agency program in the past for a large logistics company and investigated dozens of others. I have found Globaltranz to have honored all commitments to me at the time of signing my agreement. In terms of their compensation program I have found it to be fair and in line with other programs. I find their LTL rates to be good. Their truckload rates are getting better but my office handles the brokerage directly and we do most of our own pricing for truckload. Their investment in technology is outstanding, I am very happy with both their back office system (Command Center) and customer portal (Carrierrate.com). Inside of these systems I have all of the tools I need to manage my business (quotes, reporting, AR, etc.). I especially like that they allow me to co-brand their products and services on my own company website and via my LTL BOLs. I believe that they try to make decisions that are balanced and sometime I have to absorb things that I don't want to but such is life. In the end, I can own a business and leverage their investments in technology while mitigating some of the risk associated with being an entrepreneur. I would recommend anyone looking to get into the freight agency business to give Globaltranz a serious look.
I would recommend Priority1. www.priority1inc.com The folks over there are great business minds and run a very ethical shop.
If all of the complaints here are the standard, how do they keep any agents on board? Any current agents out there that can update us with the "real deal?"
the problem really is that they send rebills based on the carrier invoices without making sure they are legit. Then, when the agent tries to dispute the dispute guys in Phoenix basically say "the carrier's correct and the customer has to pay" without even getting proof from the carrier. Then if the customer doesn't pay, Phoenix doesn't give a rat's behind because at 120 days, they not only take back the commissions from agent, they take back the carrier cost, sell the receivable to a collection company and get paid twice. Nice for the Leto's - not nice for the Agents or Customers.
Hi, I am looking for additional information in a legal action against GlobalTranz. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. Contact me at through the contact page at truefreight.com.

I have worked with Globaltranz for almost 2 years now. Notice I say "work with" NOT " work for". I was fired from a freight company that I was loyal to for 6 years. I wasn't fired for anything I dd or didn't do, I was fired along with many other great sales reps because some dumb a*s that was brought on from Yellow wanted his own lousy reps. At the time it was like getting kicked in the stomach... hard. Turns out it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I would not go back to working for a company where I am told what I am worth, when I can take my vacation and basically controlling every aspect of my life. At the end of the day being shown no loyalty from the ones I showed great loyalty to. Now I control my own destiny and I promise to all of you doubters out there. If you work hard, maintain your integrity and do what you say you will do then your time with Globaltranz will be a positive experience. I have made in 6 months what I made working for my previous heartless employer in a year. I actually surpassed that 3 weeks ago. If you succeed or fail it is all on you. Stop complaining and have some accountability.
Global trans is a horrible freight company. They lie and are totally incompetent!
Don't trust them
It seems that in the past 6 months, GlobalTranz has asked us for our credit card information with an ever expanding form.
I called to ask Carolyn Kinsley what the deal is and I heard she was fired. Maybe she stole the CC info? Probably not but still, when a company turns into a rotating employer, it typically means there are internal issues that upper management have and typically it is not the staff they get rid of.
I have requested a call from Michael Leto or his brother Anderw Leto but both have failed to call me to clarify why they are going through staff and asking from my CC now for the 3rd timne in the same amount of months.
I wonder if they are having issues internally and I think I will start looking for a new shipping company.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I worked at the call center in Prescott Valley for about a week and a half (let go today because of a "bad fit"), when I asked how the payroll was done everybody was very evasive. My first check should have been 38 hours and according to the ADP printout it will probably be only 31 hours. It will not surprise me if I have numerous deductions for outbound long distance phone calls, if that happens I will turn these [censor] into the AZ wage and hour commission!
BUSTED AND DISGUSTED
GlobalTranz is overcharging on 100% of the invoices I got from them. I ran the fuel surcharges and found that they are over by 4% on average. Since I am an agent, they are stealing from me.
Mike Leto is a crook!
Terrible experience!
Beware!!! Globaltranz or Global Tranz aka Carrierrate is ###! They will try to get your business by giving you low prices and then send you bill with a lot more extra charges later. Globaltranz is a company which is middle man between trucking company and business shipping stuff to their customers. We used their service back in 2005 and at that time they...
