Google unauthorized charges

I agreed to charges of $1.97 for this google profit kit and did not receive anything by mal or e-mail. A few weeks later my bank called to tell me I was getting an over draft fee bacause my accont was over drawn, and I could not understand why. On wednesday I received my bank statement and noticed a charge of $72.21 that I did not authorize. It was no big shock that when I read the statement it read "For refunds call 866-957 Sandy". Gee wiz where are the last 4 digits of the number? My bank could not even find it in their system either. Can you say SCAM! I did find a # to call [protected]) and spoke with a young lady named shara... whose ext. is "587-no employee ID number available"... who told me she was located in the Pillipines and that the main google office is in Utah, but could not give me a number or address for that office, Shocker...she would probably be fired for giving that information out. She advised me to write a complaint to "Google Treasure Chest, 970 West Broadway Ste E347, Jackson, WY 83001". Good luck to the rest of you. I'll see how far I get with this info.

I believed on the advert as they used the google name with tha story of having the basic account for £1.50 I believed and placed the order. Now, after 7 days £38.15 was taken plus on both transactions a fee... Tried to contact them but no response. I contacted my Bank and I realised this is a know scamm and it is happening a lot lately, they are aware but can't do nothing as we have handed the card details to the company. I can open a case in 30 days but it is not guranted that I will be refunded. The only thing it was suggest is to cancel my card as stop them take any more money from it with out my concern. They must be doing with millions of people all over the world, if you see this message, contact your bank ASAP to cancel your card.
If I hear anything at all I'll post here...

You are right you did send an email I overlooked. However, I do not see an email copy of my request that includes my document that I purchased. I searched my email and the only reference to Google Profits was an order that was placed. The search did not pull up any other emails prior to this order about any offers or trials.
I recall looking at an email (not from your company) involving news of a Google Profit Scam that you claim to be “as seen on MSNBC, CNN, THE TODAY SHOW, etc." I looked in the archives on these sites and only saw that it was a scam.

I would like for you to please send my documentation of this request that you say I agreed to. In the event you are unable to provide this you will need to include your source that has given you sensitive account information. Please be aware that The State of Tennessee and Federal Agencies have requested this information and this so called error or misunderstanding is under investigation.

If your company is legitimate then you should change your website based on the massive amount of complaints from people with the same unauthorized bank and credit card charges. This has been too time consuming and costly and need my funds returned as soon as possible. Please forward the requested documentation as mentioned above.

This is your email I found that went to my Junk Mail (for a reason) and I do not know any of the companies. ( i have marked out the personal information with an x or ? if blank. Also here is one of many more complaints -->

L. Wayne Vincent,

I apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the services you've been receiving from our company. We are not affiliated with "Grow Rich with Real Estate" and in reviewing the above listed charges, it appears you are receiving charges from more than one company.
Our company represents some Google programs (Search Market Membersite) and there are no commitments with the CD download - however, there are bonus free trial periods to membership websites that accompany the CD Download and we do our best to disclose this as it is stated several times throughout the ordering process - on the sales page, the order page, the confirmation page and the thank you email, it is then also explained in the first paragraph of the Terms and Conditions of the offer. We offer the trial periods to give our clients a chance to use the services and see the value of them for themselves before they are billed. The trial periods are free for 7-30 days from the order date, depending on which bonuses apply, and we would not have charged you had you called customer service and canceled during the trial period as it is not our desire to bill clients who do not want the membership after the free trial offer ends.

The following is the first paragraph of the Terms and Conditions of the offer (the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy links can be found on every page of the sales ad):
Bonus Material Terms and Termination.
By purchasing this product, you agree to adhere to the termination agreement as outlined on the order page, confirmation of order page, and confirmation email, which is that you, the buyer, are not entitled to a refund of the upfront cost of any shipping and handling that may or may not have been charged to you for delivery of said product. Furthermore, any free trials that may or may not be offered with this product are only free during the said allotted time of the free trial period as outlined within the product sales page, confirmation of order page, and confirmation email. If you have not cancelled the free bonus within the free trial period (if offered on product purchasing), you are agreeing to purchase the bonus material and/or service at a monthly reoccurring cost. This can be cancelled by calling the customer service number provided in the confirmation email between the hours of 9AM and 9PM EST M-F and stating your desire to cancel said bonus material. However, in order to not be charged any future reoccurring cost, please give ample time (2 business days) to be cancelled out of any reoccurring billing system before the next scheduled charge to your account (this does not apply during any trial period). Not canceling trial programs constitutes authorization, by you, the buyer, for any charges (as outlined) for the associated bonus service until your request to cancel has been received by our customer service staff. By not canceling the bonus program during the trial period or prior to two days before a scheduled billing cycle, you agree that any reoccurring charges billed to you will be non-refundable.

As you can see, the Terms direct the customer to the sales page, confirmation of order page and the confirmation email where all pertinent information is provided to the customer before, during and after placing their order.

The following disclosure is directly from our sales page:
Terms and Disclosures. By submitting this form, I am ordering the Make Money with Google CD and trial membership for $2.29 S&H. After the 7 day trial I will be charged $59.95 a month thereafter for the Search Market Members Site if I do not cancel. I also agree to the 14 day and 21 day bonus trials to the Grant Members Site and Network Agenda for $7.95 and $9.95 a month thereafter, should I choose not to cancel. I have read and agree to the Privacy Policy / Terms & Conditions. Charges will appear on credit/debit statements as www.gglprofit.com. For questions, call [protected]. Customer Service hours are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Also, immediately after placing your order, our Thank You page directed you to the confirmation email we sent: PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL You will be receiving a confirmation e-mail containing your receipt and detailed order information. If you have not yet received this e-mail, please check your junk e-mail box to ensure the message was not accidentally misfiled. If you cannot find your order confirmation e-mail, please contact our customer support staff at [protected]. As a reminder, your credit card was processed by "www.gglprofit.com".

Search Market Members Site comes with a 7 day free trial to our member’s website where we offer one on one live chat assistance and it teaches users how to make money using Google’s AdWords and AdSense Programs. Customers can use these programs to create Google AdWord-based Advertisements and place ads on Google searches using Google AdWords. They can do this either for their own sites or they can use Google AdSense to funnel traffic through their sites to other sites and get paid for the traffic they generate.

Search Market Members also comes with two fast action bonuses:
First is a 14 day free trial to our Grant Members Site, which offers access to one of the largest grant data bases where you can find both government and private foundation grantors. It offers information from Dr. Porter who is a licensed and certified grant writer. The information that is offered through our member’s website is more extensive than what other companies sell in coaching programs that cost thousands of dollars, so we feel that we are offering our clients the best value in the industry. After the trial period, it is a reduced monthly membership fee of $7.95 because you are already a member of another of our programs.

The second fast action bonus is a 21 day free trial for Network Agenda, an affiliate company, that offers an online date book that will allow you to keep track of your daily schedule and will even send you reminders to your cell phone. After the free trial, the service is $9.95 a month membership fee.

For assistance, please contact customer service at either number listed in the above disclosures. There you will find a helpful agent waiting to assist you with your concerns.

If you are another customer that is reading this and you have already tried customer service, but feel that we have failed you in some way or you feel you weren't treated fairly please call me directly at [protected] or email me at customerservice@cshelp.org I will be happy to address your concerns ASAP.

Sincerely,
Online Customer Support

Most are the same company under different names. (Grow Rich with Real Estate) Call them and go through your list, the person I talked to confirmed them only when I asked. I never inquired about a trial offer nor would I be interested anyway. Plus I was charged and no product was ever sent which would have raised a flag.

How can a company pull up your account that you don't have by zip code and name only? That was all they asked and in less than a second the rep said that he had my account up on the screen. ? (what account?) He canceled but would not refund my money. My bank is investigating the charges.
I called my bank to inquire of the status and who to communicate with if I had more information to help them along with the investigation. The CS rep should have just laughed. Instead he was at a loss for words, so I had to laugh (cry later). I don’t think I will see my money from the bank. I thought FDIC had something to do with INSURANCE!
I like the prepaid card. Great idea... THANKS

I too bought the google kit for the 1.95 for seven day free trial. I cancelled on the 6th day and they still charged me. When I called and cancelled the lady said I wouldn't be charged for anything further. Today I read these comments and decided to check my account. They still charged me for the member fee (49.90, even though I cancelled) and then there is a 9.95 charge for ID protection (what a joke, they are the one's you need protection from.) I called my bank immediately and she said they would cancel my card, but I need to go fill out the proper paper work. I will be doing that soon!

Here is some good advice from dailyartist on how to get your money back from these Blazing Words scammers:

Steps to Recover your money

1. Cancel your credit or debit card--Get a new card with new number! Your financial information has been compromised and you will be getting further debits to that card, If not now then they could come back later when you are unaware.

2. File a fraud charge with your credit card or bank and let them sort it out. They have more muscle to go after this sort of crime. Explain to them about all the consumer complaints that are on the internet and insist that they do charge-back or file a fraud charge. Your bank or credit card organization has all the tools necessary to find out where the charges are coming from, what business is involved, addresses and phone numbers connected to the charge and etc. You may not know or have access to this information. The banks and credit card org have all this at their fingertips and are obligated to handle the problem that has resulted.

Do not waste time trying to contact the scammers, being hung up on, being on hold for hours to some call center and made to jump through their hoops like mailing stuff to a UPS address (it will just come back as undeliverable).

Contact your bank/credit card company
http://www.chrismalta.com/scamtip1.asp

Initiate a charge-back against that company by filing a fraud report with your credit card company or bank.

Explain that you wish to file a dispute, and demand that they assist you in accordance with Federal Regulation E.

Tell them the truth; the $72.21 charges are unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing how you never authorized anything! Direct them to the hundreds of victims reports that are filed online.

And just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the supervisor or the area manager for all the branches in the state. See: http://www.chrismalta.com/scamtip1.asp

3. File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Their job is to monitor and go after these types of scams. http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/cmplanding.shtm

4. File a complaint with your state Attorney General and also with the Attorney General of Utah (where a lot of the phone numbers seem to be located)

5. Filing a complaint with the BBB is toothless as the scam already is rated with a "F".

6. File complaint at http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx This is a place to report internet crime and is a combination gov agency of FBI, White collar Crime and Bureau of Justice Assistance.

7. After you filed with all the above agencies feel free to call any numbers you may possess that are connected to the "unauthorized debit to try and recover your money but take their word with a grain of salt. If you succeed in getting your money returned you will have still taken steps to put their scam out of commission.

I also was "taken in" by the nominal $1.97 fee; received nothing by e-mail or the USPS. But today, thank goodness for fraud detection on my credit card, got a call from my credit card company. I had a charge for $72.21; address in Israel. A phone number was given to me for Blazing Keywords, I called and was told I would not be charged. I then obtained the phone number for the $1.97 charge and called to cancel my account with them. I was assured this was done. Will check with my credit card company tomorrow to see if this is resolved. At present there is a hold on this credit card. One option is to discontinue this card and get a new one. But I know all the numbers by heart. Maybe it would be good if I didn't!

Good luck to all of the rest of us who are looking for easy money. Hard work, or a lucky inheritance, are the only way.

Google unauthorized deduction from bank

I was curious to take a look at a CD Published/sold by Google on making money from home. The only cost was shipping and I approved a charge of $1.97 from my bank account. I never received the CD and 2 weeks later another $72.27 was deducted from my bank account. I called, cancelled and was told I would receive a refund in 7-10 days. The 10th day would have been May 13th. No word from them and they have not returned my money. I called them back and was told they tried to refund the money and that access was denied by my bank and they would not attempt to return my money again. I called the bank to verify that Google had made the attempt and Chase Bank said no attempt had been made by Google to refund my money. LIARS! SCAM ! BEWARE! My bank is following up with BBB and will notify the industry of fraudulent charges by this company.

Google scam - charged $72.21 & won't refund

This company charged $72.21 to my VISA and refuses to refund it. I did not authorize this charge, nor did I receive the "product" of access to their online information. I never received a confirmation email or any information that said I would be charged $72.21. The only notification I received of the charge was on my VISA statement. By the time I got my statement and saw the charge the "30 day refund period" had passed - by ONE day. Therefore, they say there is nothing they can do to refund my money. This is such a scam - stay far, far away...

Today. 6/3/2009 I contacted Google after I saw where the money that was taken from my account. I spoke with Nikka and she put a stop to the goings on, whatever that may be. I informed her that I would be speaking with my bank. The amount of money from my bank was $72.21. I assured her that I was going to complain.

Google unauthorized debit

The amount of $72.21 was charged to my bank account, and indicated as a debit charge. When I called the number indicated for the charge, I was told that I had ordered a cd from Google Treasure Chest, and that since I had not cancelled the "service" within the allotted time, I would have a monthly reoccurring charge of $72.21. Of course, I had the charge cancelled. The "third party" agency I spoke with stated that they received several calls similar to mine. I immediately called my bank to dispute the charge.

Please note that I regularly delete emails from companies such as Google Treasure Chest, and would not authorize someone taking a monthly fee from me for services I do not receive. Who are these people, and how can they do what they do. I want my money back, but, more importantly, what can be done to stop theft such as this? What can I do?

Of course, I now am paranoid using my debit card.

Respectfully,
Bethenia D. Price

Google unauthorized credit card charg

I went on line to with interest in looking into this company as a part
time working at home on computer business. They wanted $2.95
for shipping of the cd just for viewing to see if maybe this would be
something I might be interested in. I immeditely started recieving
emails from people about starting on line with them. I never received the cd only a phone call from a rep and when I informed him I was
no longer interested he became rather rude stating he would simply
take me off the list. I thought this was the end, I kept receiving emails
from these peope which I just deleted. I did receive the cd 3 weeks later
the same day I found out they had charged my credit card with $98.00 When I called to complain they said sorry the temporay time
has lapsed when can do nothing about the refund. What a scam these people are taking hard earn money from people who are trying so hard to make ends meet these days.

I was sent an e-mail from a friend who had seen an e-mail featuring someone in my hometown who's teenage son told his parents about google profits and how his father and mother were unemployed and ordered the google profits CD for free. Then I received e-mails from different companies thanking me for joining and giving me passwords. I immediately canceled my credit card and will just eat the $1.97 shipping fee gladly. I am thankful that these posts alerted me after seeing these confirmations in my email. Thank you all for taking the time to post and save others the fradulent charges and headaches of canceling when a live person never answers the phone.

Same thing happened to me. It said that I only need to pay for the shipping of the CD and I should be able to start making profits when I use it. I guess not. I just found out tonight that there were three different charges on my credit card for $98.04 adn two more charges of $48.16 which was just posted yesterday. I did not authorize them to do this. I only authorized them to take out the shipping charges for the CD which I have not even used. I should have known better. I should have listened to the other people telling me that those things are a SCAM. Please for all those trying to find extra income working from home, be wary of all the scams and hound dogs that are ready to prance on people like us who just wants to make some extra buck to pay off our bills.

I wnted to look at the google profits cd also. They called me the next day after I ordered the cd and started asking questions about how I liked the programs on the cd. I had not got the cd yet. I told them that but they continued to ask question. That kind of p-ss me off. I told them I didn't want the cd or anything they were offering. I guess they didn't understand, 3 or 4 days later I received the cd and was charged $4.95. Now a $99.00 charge showed up. All the numbers we have tried to call don't work. Pretty good scam I guess. I didn't know I was signing up for anything. I just wanted to look at a cd and see want they were offering. thanks for stealing a day of my wages. Google unauthorized charges to my account

I have a problem, tplease help!

Things are hard enough to have companies like this taking peoples money. This google chest company is withdrawing money from my account and I don't know who they are, and have not given consent to this! They have taken money x 2 of $72.21 without my permission.
I don't even know what these charges are for! I am desperate, I have no extra money, my funds are very limitted every month!

How do I get my money back, how can they get away with this?
This cause a huge problem; I had deposited money into my account to pay my rent and this charges were posted to my account prior to my rent check without my permission. Why will the bank pay this without question?

I just did some research. They have ads all over the web about making money using google. The offer is to send them $1.97 and they will send you free information and that is to cover postage. They send you the free information which is to start your own online business and the charge of $72.21 is a monthly charge for the website they set up for you. The only problem is they don't set the site up until your ready but they start charging you the monthly fee about a month after you get the free information. It is a scam and they can get away with it so call them at [protected] right away and cancel the "MEMBERSHIP" and insist on getting a full refund of your money less the $1.97 of course. You will probably be looking at 7 - 10 working days before you see the refund. If they refuse a refund, talk to a lawyer right away. If they can not produce a working web site for you, then they can have fraudulent charges brought up on them. Once your lawyer tell them who they are, they will give you a refund. It's a scam and legal in a lot of ways (gray areas).

The same thing happened to me but I caught it early enough and my bank did't pay the draft. What was it for anyway? I never ordered anything or authorized any payments.

YES! I just got an unauthorized amount in my checking. called [protected]. I just called them and she said she is reimbursing the $1.97 that I knew I was going to be charged. The operator said it was in the terms and conditions, but I sure did not see anything that said I would be charged $72.21 for! She gave me the address to contact to get a remimbursement of the $72.21

Google unathorized charge of $72.21

Just to warn you all, I also fell victim to the Google Treasure Chest. I was looking at a work a home business where the person, who was local stated they earned $5, 000 monthly by entry data links.
I was curious and thought for $1.95 i could check into the matter. I received the CD, however never opened it as i had second thoughts about the idea. I had no idea that i would be hit with a $72.21 monthly charge. Trust me, had i known about these charges, i would not have ordered the damn thing.

Just want you all to be aware.

As with many others, I, too became a victim of this scam. Only this time, it wasn't me that gave them my credit card info. It was an identitiy theft issue, currently being investigated by the police.

Nevertheless, I did receive a CD in the mail, called the number on the CD to inquire about it. As soon as I found out what this was I canceled it. Fortunately, within the 7 day period.

I checked all my bank accounts, to find I was charged $1.44 for a "foreign transaction fee" and $72.21 for a monthly subscription. I recieved a "RGA #" (return goods authorization #) & spent an additional $6.37 mailing it back to the address I was given.

Through the USPS confirmation of delivery, the CD was delivered & signed for on May 28, 2009 @ 2:14pm. I called customer service, only to be told the refund was approved on May 29 & it would take 7-10 days to receive the refund.

I just called the customer service back (June 10 @ 12pm est) to find out their data base does not have ANY records of me requesting a refund. WONDERFUL!

BTW...the customer service number given, by my bank, for this company (and on the package received) is in the PHILIPINES. It is NOT in the US. Imagine the language barrier being experienced! Combine that with the amount of frustration already in place from the money lost & the identity theft.

I will be calling & writing the Utah Better Business Bureau, as recommended by another victim.

Google scam, fraud, unauthorized deductions

I got home from work, (work 6 days a week to make ends meet) checked my bank acct showing a pending debit purchase of $72.21. I did agree 9 days ago to send off for a "Google Profit Kit" for only ship charges of $1.97 for a work at home biz. I did not authorize nor agree to any further charges. I called this fukkin # and got a bogus recording [protected]). I bust my ### off trying to save my house from foreclosure and look for means of making money online (home biz) to help soften the blow and get out of debt. The ad on the internet both written, verbal and with pixs depicting how Google could take me away from clocking in day to day to setting my own hours etc. Anyways I got fukked and am not about to let it go on. Fortunately I have a good bank on my side and they'll take care of the matter. For the rest of the public do not get scammed into this offer.. ...

I think with as many lawyers advertising their services out there, they should start a class action suit against these companies. Many people could recover at least some of their money and the law firms could make some money too.
These companies could also be charged under the Rico- Racketeering Act, if the FTC and states attorney generals were involved. You may not get your money back, but they would be jailed. It should be also noted that the websites that facilitate these types of ads should bear some responsibility, since they allowed them to use their site to perpetrate a fraud. Most magazines would not accept this type of advertising, because their subscription base could get ripped off and they’re not about to risk their reputation and revenues for a sham. That’s something Internet companies should learn from, It is time to start cleaning up the Internet.

I was trying to see if there was any "fine print" such as a monthly charge to my credit card after a certain period of time, so I went through the order process again thinking that at the end I could review my order prior to confirmation and see any gimmicks like that. I had seen that when I attempted to order the Google Marketing Kit and decided not to order it because they charge $80+ to your credit card monthly after the first 30 days or something like that. So I ended up double ordering it and would like a refund for one of the orders.

I too had attempts made to collect funds from my pre-paid credit card. Luckily, I keep very little money on it. For three months this outfit tryed to take 82.32 from my account. One of those attempts after I had contacted them and was assured that I was off their subscription list. My question is, Why is Google not all over these people? Or are they complisite in this scam.

Google steal credit cards by scam

For all people who are cheated by Google Treasure Chest:
Here is the measure that you should take to prevent Google Treasure Chest from stealing money from your credit cards.
(1) If you find the Google Chest made a transaction on you Credit Card for $72.21, and the transaction is still pending and not finally posted on your cards, call your credit card bank immediately and report that your credit card number is stolen by Google Chest, and you never authorize the transaction. The bank will cancel the credit card ASAP and will send you a new credit card with a new account number later on. In this case, you will lose nothing, because you prevent the stealing procedure before it becomes the fact. I do this today, and my bank has stop the pending transcation as well as cancel the stolen credit card account. The pending $72.21 transaction is stopped.
(2) If the transaction is already posted on your credit card, issue a dispute over the transaction to the bank ASAP. If this happens before the monthly credit card statement, you have high chance to get back the stolen money by the protection service provided by your bank without resorting a refund from Google Chest (this service may vary from bank to bank, so hopefully your bank offers you the best protection). It seems Google Chest never refund any money that they stole. (3) The worst case is that you only find your money was stolen after the transaction has been packed into a monthly transaction. But you should still issue a dispute on the transaction to your credit card bank. I am not sure if the bank can get back you money or not, all depending on the details of the CC protection service they provided.

A lesson from these events is that you may need to check your credit card transactions every day using online banking tools, to keep an eye on the potential credit card stealing in any form, and stop the stealing before the pending transaction is posted on your card. Another lesson is being very careful to input your credit card information to any Internet ordering form that has a new face and no credit record among consumers as well as is telling a too beatuiful story to allure you.

Good luck with dealing with the credit card thiefs, Google Treasure Chest and its mutants!

Google fraud

I just checked my acct. to see where we were at and low and behold if there was a charge on there that I had no clue about. Same charge as most of you out there and let me tell you that I have already filed a fraudlent claim and looking into this. People who take from those less fortunate should be taken out back and shot in the head. I feel as though I can't trust anyone anymore and as far as I'm concern google can kiss my ###. I will get my money back. Taking money from me is like taking food out of my kids mouth and let me tell you that GOD himself won't be able to save these people from doing what they are doing. I hope one day that they get what's coming to them.

I was recently charged 72.21 from google chest and did not authorize any charge. When I tried to sign up for the $1.97 it told me that I wasnt eligible for the program and I tried 3 or for times to sign up and each time I received the same message. I didn't even know that my card had went through, so I didn't think nothing of it and when I saw the charge on my account, I didn't even know what google chest was until I googled the term and then remembered but like I said they said that I wasn't even eligible so don't understand why I was charged. I would like my money back since . I wouldn't expected this from google. Thanks

All I ordered was the CD for $1.97. When I got it, it didn't even work. I did scan thru the site real fast but it was a instructions on how to sell on ebay and direct ship from wholesalers. I finally threw the disk away. They have tried to debit my WalMart Money Card but I only put enough on it for my immediate purchases. They have tried to get 72.21 over seven times with them all declined. I will now call debit card company to see if they will refuse to accept them.

I'm sorry that you all lost money that you are having a hard time getting back. I have found that the WalMart Money Card or something similar is the best way to shop online.

On 5/22/09 I was charged $.58 and then $72.21 by google chest for I don't know what. Whatever it was I didn't receive it. I called to cancel and to receive a refund of my money. I checked my account this morning and there ar emore charges to my account in the exact same amounts. I called the telephone number and they told me that I was refunded the amount. When I told the woman that I wasn'trefunded the money, that I had been charged a second time she said there is nothing she could do, I will have to write a letter to ...and then gave me an address. I want to talk to a person not write a letter. I want all of this money refunded to my account. It amounts to $145.58. I don't have that kind of money to throw away! I want it back! Same complaint so many others are having; my wife says: There's a charge on Visa of 72.93 for something called Google Chest. I can't get them to answer the 888 area code number. Don't know what this is for. Did you order something?

At kneejerk, I just got the G1 phone, so without thinking, thought that was it. Wrong amount!

Wife says she called the 888 number, got someone in Philipines, they said computers down and went on hold.

I suspect they harvestd, somehow, the visa info using spyware.

Fell into the 1.97 cent con of the century! They asked me for 1.97 to pay for info on work at home buisness. They sent me a cd that didn't work about 1 week (7 days) after they took my money. Then about 2 weeks later I overdrew my account for a 6 dollar charge.? And wait, whats this, a 72.21 cent charge for something called Google Chest?! What in the world is Google Chest, well some cons on the end of Google Treasure Chest lines taking your card info! So i dispute it and cant because the 6 dollars overdrew it not the 72.71?! So about 2 weeks later i get another overdraft 35.00 for a 3 dollar purchase? What do you know Google Chest for 32.85! So i call all the numbers to all "Chest" companies and they all tell me Im cancelled because of this site I found the right nmber and cancelled instantly! Guess, , 2 weeks later 73.65 and 140 dollars in overdrafts?! I had 6 bucks leave my 6 alone... haha. So i get the banker on the phone with these 3 companies who all say he cancelled last month, > Banker's like "What?" then why did you charge him again yesterday? Ha! Redemption! Thank the lord above for this site, and thank the guy below for ### like these people. On to correct ths 208 dollar problem for the 4 time.. Geez don't fall for this one!

I thought about trying a google make money kit, which is $2 for shipping and 15 day free trial. The kit takes longer than 15 days to ship and I received no letter or email to log-on to the website. Then I got charged $38.84. I call [protected] and demanded a refund and cancelled the service today. They told me it takes 7-10 days to post the refund depending on the bank. Unautherized Transaction Date: 05/14/2017 Retail Store: GOOGLE CHEST Unautherized Pending Charge: $72.21 I found this charge on my Green Dot Visa Debit Card the next day and sent in a letter as instructed by Green Dot. I did NOT purchase this item. I sent in a letter to Transaction Dispute (Green Dot Corporation) PO Box 1187, Monrovia, CA., 91017 With my name, address, zip code, card number & exp. date. I described the dispute on a copy of the billing transaction statement. Green Dot Customer service [protected] The last time I had a disputed pending charge it was removed and I was credited. I really hope it will be removed again. Google Chest needs to be put out of business for all of these illegal charges they are putting on credit and debit cards which amounts to theft. I wanted to write Google Chest but I have no idea how to contact or call them directly.

I was charged twice by Google Chest this month. One Charge on May 20 and one charge on May 21. Each for $72.31. I had paid $1.99 last month for a make money from home cd called Google Treasure Chest. The address on the CD is in Utah. I called [protected] today, and demanded my $144. 62 back. The woman on the phone agreed to refund one charge back. I should see it credited in my account within 7-10 days. To get a refund on the second charge, I must write tothe "Corporate Office" at 970 W. Broadway suite E347, Jackson Wyoming 83001. Google fraugelent charges

Screwed in NC

I also with thousands of others fell for this scam, I just left my bank cancelling my card and filling a fraudulent charge form. So far it has cost me $72.21. I also just called the Attorney General in NC who informed me that they are getting many calls about this scam. Do the numbers someone is getting seriously rich off of honest people trying to figure a way to make ends meet. Shame on you. I hope NC follows Utah and does something about this. It was a lesson learned always read the fine print.

Google ignores my site for "unoriginal" or "duplicate content."

According to AV Stats from In Motion hosting, hits dropped drastically from 236K in June 2017 to 12K in July 2017. A computer guru told me that Google could be ignoring my site because of "unoriginal content." Most of the 800 translated articles are original translations that would not otherwise be available to English-speaking readers. I think I need a Google sitemap and filed a Google complaint three days ago without receiving a response. What do you think?

I am perplexed about the lack of "original content." The articles are mostly original translations that are not available to the English speaking world. These articles are not copied or duplicate. I usually include a link to the original German address so readers can pick up a dictionary and do some translating. It seems super-hard to get a book or anthology of translated articles published in English. First, there is a leveling-down so scholarly, technical or abstract work almost disappears. Second, publishers are probably reluctant about paying fees to original writers and translators. In Germany, there is more of a market for 100-200 page books.

A massive subsidy program for writers is necessary in the US. This should be a no-brainer since qualitative growth must replace quantitative growth. Unlimited growth is impossible on a finite planet. Reducing work hours is the only way to guarantee the right to work and is also a socio-economic investment that offers better long-term health and time sovereignty. Unlike a chair, an idea can be shared by a whole people. Access could replace excess as enough could replace more. As Jim Hightower said, we have too many 15-watt bulbs in 60-watt sockets. Elitists can't seem to accept post-growth, post-fossil and post-autistic economics. Trade agreements benefit foreign investors and not labor and the envi8ronment. For them, the future is only a continuation of the present. In truth, the future should be anticipated and protected in the present (cf. Jurgen Moltmann, "Theology of Hope").

On www.openculture.com Open Culture - The Best Free Cultural and Educational Media on the Web. we are given 700 free movies, 700 free E-books and 450 free audio books (including "1984"). Another incalculable treasure is www.booktv.org that goes back more than 10 years. Enjoy the feast! Corporate types seem to make "free" and "shared" into taboo realities that hardly get a hearing.

Upon searching on Google with the query "Catholic doctrine in a nutshell, " hoping to find an abridged summary of Catholic teaching, the first search result is "Catholic doctrine contradicts the Bible." While everyone is entitled to their opinion, such biased search results should not be placed as primary search result. Rather, an unbiased summary of what Catholics believe (without reference to the author's opinion of the validity of such beliefs" should have been first. I am highly offended that Google would be so careless as to allow a site offensive to over 67, 000, 000. Google ought to reorganize such search listings immediately, and it should also check that when searching for basic information about other religious beliefs that the same is also not the case.

Google ripped me off. I was charged $67.00 for nothing. When I called, they said I had ordered a google success kit which I did not. They refused to refund my money and said my only recourse was to call the police and report it as fraud! And to top it off, this bogus charge caused me to overdraw my account! Now I have to paid double to cover something I knew nothing about. I am going to report this to everyone I know and put the word out that google is run by thieves. I recently received documentation from the IRS stating that Google claims to have paid me back in 2017 and that I owe roughly $3, 600 in back taxes. I have never received ANY money from Google, if I had I would of kindly paid the taxes on it. I've tried to get in touch with GOOGLE for the past month, they offer no telephone contact what so ever, they don't offer a help topic or even a way for me to get this resolved.

I've essentially given up trying to get this resolved with Google, very disappointing considering their decent (yet declining reputation)

If anyone knows ANYONE at Google I can contact please email me d3cimator@gmail.com

27.85. Now I understant there is another 11.95 charge coming this month. It has got to stop. All I asked for was a $ 1 google kit. I am not paying any of the charges and they should cease and desist.

Google scam; bank account charges

This company advertises on Facebook. If you are a facebook user contact them immedately and request three things: (1) To remove this company from their advertisers. (2) Create better controls for screening advertisers (3) Provide a rating system or application to view on their site that gives users visibility to the quality of advertisers (like ebay ratings).

I commend this site. When I couldn't use the link provided on the email they sent me. By the way, I thought I was ordering a program to download for $1.97. And then I got an email stating I was going to get charged $72 in 7 days. The email landed in my junk folder and sat there for 4 days before I found it. Anyway, thanks to the users here because when I got suspecious, I looked here and saw the problems with this company. I immediately reported my debit card lost/stolen to block all transactions. It was after hours and I couldn't get ahold of a bank rep. But I had to do this last year when a company selling ACAI berry juice started charging my card under 4 different company merchant accounts. I got hit for $400.

THanks again to this site.

Michael

Google fraudulent deduction from card

After purchasing a cd for $1.97 about one week later there was a charge to my account for $72.21 which I did not authorize I read the terms and conditions and there was no mention of such a charge this is a complete scam.. I have cancelled my card so that they cannot do it again I have reported them to my bank which is doing a fraud check Their number is no good and no one ever answers the phone. To anyone else please do not fall for this work from home scheme. It was very well done. I have never been scammed before and I will never be again.

On the 19 of February 2008 I was charged $72.21 for something from Google Treasure Chest. I did not Order or Authorize these charges to be removed from my bank account. I request a full refund to my bank account in the amount of $72.21 immediately! I am cancelliing all contact with your company "Googles and Affiliates"!
I will expect this refund by Tuesday promptly If not completed by then I will contact Wells Fargo ID Fraud protection and file a claim for ID Fraud!

Do not listen to these people who state this is not a scam. They are plants from the company Google Chest. The only way to get your money back is to go to your credit card company or your bank and tell them this company is a scam and you did not authorize this charge and you want a CHARGE BACK. This is the only way I have been trying to get my money back since May 15th. I have been to the Attorney General, BBB and the FTC.. The FTC stated that everytime they track them down and get to the address they are gone. They are very good at what they do. Forget trying the upteen numbers. They give you the run around to tire you out and keep your money. It is to much paperwork and they have to prove their service or product to keep your money on a chargeback.
That is the only way. Go to the Fraud Dept. of your bank, file a claim for a charge Back. That is the only way you will ever see your money again.

You must call either Safe lock, Google Chest or Grant Springs and Cancel your account first. Otherwise they will keep charging your card. Depends which one got your card number

I also was scammed. I received the $72.21 charge from google treasure chest. I agreed to pay for an informational video that was "free" but I had to pay shipping. Then I had another charge that showed up on my card for about $28. The name on my card was A-1 member, I've never heard of them but I called and they're affiliated with Google Treasure Chest. I cancelled that, they gave me a cancellation number. Today I had a charge from SAFE LOCK ! This was for another $32 and some change! THEY TOO ARE AFFILIATED WITH GOOGLE TREASURE CHEST! They told me you agreed to the service when I signed up for Google treasure Chest! I didn't sign up for anything! I paid for shipping on a free informational DVD! I just think it's ironic that a company like SAFE LOCK that has a service that is supposed to protect you from identity theft would involve themselves in a total scam like this! They've stolen money from people just like the identity thieves! I cancelled with all three companies and received cancellations numbers from all. I talked to my credit card company who reported the charges as fraudulent and advised me to handle the card as a possible lost or stolen. That way they don't close your account which can affect your credit. They just cancel that number and issue you a new card with a new account number. I don't want anymore surprises from this company or their affiliates. Watch for other charges on your credit cards carefully! I can't even imagine how much money these companies make if just one payment goes through and doesn't get caught! Look how many are on this page! Some don't discover it for months! This should be illegal and everyone should contact their states attorney general's office. that's my next contact today! Good luck to all!

Hello! My name is Angelia, and I was scammed too! Unfortunately, they only got $1.97 from me . Fortunately, I have always been one who was skeptical in buying this offline or with my credit or debit card. Whenever using a card to order anything, I always use prepaid debit cards. And who ever thought they were scamming me, they may have got the $1.97, but I got the last laugh, because that was all that was on that particular card. Yep, nothing more or less. So, once agin I would like to remind everyone out there, only use prepaid cards with only the amount of money you are going to use.

I was also a victim of this scam. It seems like my credit card company, Travelocity Mastercard does not really care. I was informed that numerous complaints have been filed. Duh!

I am faxing a letter to contest the charges.

Google is going to anniliate this company because it's illegal to use their name in the URL.

OK so I too conviently found a 72.21 charge taken out of my account which charged me an overdraft fee. I called the 1-800 number listed on my checking statement and i asked what company i was calling and the answer i got was this is a call center for several different companies. I then said well I have this mysterious charge on my checking for 72.21 and dont know where it came from. The lady asked me for my name so I gave it to her she then asked for my address I refused because I said i didnt know where this charge was coming from, she said she had to verify my info, i gave her bits of my address but nothing more. She finally told me that it was googe treasure chest I told her i did not authorize this charge and she said yes you did when you signed up you had 7 days I said ok good well i just got this in the mail like 3 days ago, so why am i already being charged 72.21 she said your free trial started when you singed up not when you got the CD I was like OK so I guess I did not see that so i asked her to cancel and then asked when i would get my money back. She then told me that she could not refund my money until they received the CD back I said ok good so where do i ship it she gave me an address she then said i would recommend getting it certified. So I got off the phone after she gave me a RGN number and a cancellation number and decided to check out the site, here to find out that she did not give me the complete right address and that you have to send it certified or you do not get your money back. This was 5/11/09 when they received it back in draper UT and it is now 5/21/09 and I still do not have my money and of course i try and call and they are only oopen 9-5 mon-fri mountain time. Argh... I did file a complaint with the BBB but did not hear anything back yet. Has anyone recieved there refund yet?

I found out the hard way that this is a scam and they charge 72.21. I was lucky enough to call within in the time and i was told that as long as I return the software that I will be refunded. I called the same number that has been posted many times [protected]). I was given a cancellation code and was also given a code for the return. The only problem now is trying to get my bank to reverse any of the additional charges for the overdraft. IF ANYONE IS GOING TO TRY THIS OR ANY OTHER "WORK AT HOME PROGRAM" READ THE TERMS AND CONDINTIONS 100% ALL THE WAY THROUGH! THAT HAS BEEN THE MISTAKE THAT WE HAVE MADE AND HAVE SUFFERED BECAUSE OF IT!

Google not honest

I just want to let everyone know NOT to purchase the Google Money kit. They will say that it is free and you only pay for a small shipping fee (around $2). Remember, they make big claims that it is FREE other than the shipping fee. Well, they do charge you the shipping fee and then 2 weeks later charge your account $72.21 a month. I am sure it was in the fine print but they were deceptive in their advertising to begin with.

After calling my bank and not being able to find a company phone number I did some internet searching because they make it very difficult to find them. I finally got in contact with them and let them know that I never received anything in the mail to review. They said they sent it by email. HUM! THEN WHAT IS THE SHIPPING FEE FOR? Doesn't make any sense!

After I asked to speak to the person in charge, they said she was busy. I told them I would hold to wait for her. After telling them that I was not going to leave this issue alone. They finally relented and refunded the $72.21 . Just to be safe though, I called the bank to cancel my card and let them know a refund was coming. they told me to give it 30 days and if no refund arrived to call the bank back and put in a fraud claim.

We will see what happens.

I got an ad for google money. I signed up for a $1 with a promo code. My confirmation said that it was a 24 hr membership. So I thought big deal I got scammed out of a $1. Well then 2 days later they charged me $79.86. I called the number on my bank statement I spoke to the rudest customer service, if you can call him that, agent ever. They cancelled my subscription but refused to give me the money back after only 2 days because their terms and conditions state they can take the money after 24 hrs and each month afterwards. The terms and conditions are not visible and are hidden on the sign up form. The box "I have read the terms and conditions" is pre checked so most people wouldn't even notice it. . I then asked to speak to a supervisor and was denied several times. He eventually hung up on me after I said I would stay on the line till he disconnected it. I called back the next rep was eager to get me to a supervisor to lodge my complaint but I made the mistake of mentioning the refund and then she said she could no longer transfer me. They were not alowed to send money complaint calls to management. How crazy is that? I just gave up and called my bank to dispute it. They said it could take several days to get a response so we'll see how it goes. If that doesn't work I'll go to the news station. What a fradulent company. I wonder if Google knows they are being represented this way.

This is to warn anyone who are trying or who wants to get involve with the so called free google money kit. They will entice you with a free kit offer, just pay shipping and handling of $1.99. But after a few days (about 2-3 days), they will charge you for $79.86 for the so called monthly payment for something that you don't even have yet. This charges is unauthorized. You won't even be able to log in or access the web page where your suppose to log in. Be warned, this is a S C A M.

might i suggest changing careers, the market for young, fresh hustlers is completely oversaturated in the USA right now.

If I was a young hustler wishing to make some steady money, I would look into Americorps as a starting point. They give young hustlers the chance to make it. You think i'm a joke, i'm sure. But while Obama is in office, he is gonna be pushing Americorps hard. Don't waste your life thinking fame and fortune is just around the corner, no matter how talented a hustler you are. Life does not work in that way for 99.9% of the people on this planet. Think hard on this.

I called today and finally got through on a different #[protected]. Shen said she would refund but since I closed my bank account after the 72.21 charge she said the only way was to refund that closed acount and I should let my bank know it would happen in 7-10 days. I am afraid to do this because they might scam me again. I told her I would only accept a check in the mail and she said they can't do that...I think they try to come up with every excuse to exhaust you so you will just give up. My bank account was overdrawn because of this...I am a single mon and struggling and it's a shame they are preying on people who are obviously in need of a second income. Let me know if you get a refund...halvsue@yahoo.com...thanks and good luck.

Same problems: I am in a circle. First says I need to turn my cookies on. I turned them on.
Secondly the “word verification” denies my entry three times.
Then it says there was already an account associated with my e-mail address.
Then the system asked me; I want to see the username? I say yes. The answer comes back there is no username associated with this e-mail address. This is an obvious contradiction. This is a laughable obvious contradiction, except for the fact; I've wasted too much time on it.
help help help
I did empty the cache, try to enter as a new user, change my cookie settings, etc. I used Norton, Windows XP, Explorer 7

More Humor: so the net is I can't sign in. It lists a bunch of blogs that get help from other users. I want to send in the above the problem history. The Gmail support page tells me I'm a sign in to Gmail first. So the circle continues. In order to notify them that I can't sign in, I have to sign in first. What a joke!

BTW: in looking for answers for my problem of “not being able to login into Gmail or create a new account”; I found a huge number of users with the same complaint. Growth and new business is the lifeblood for a company like Google. If they are having a basic problem with a basic function that supplies the new business it may be time to sell your stock. At least watch the price earning ratio, which is sky-high in anticipation of rapid growth.

Google unauthorized charges to bank account

I tried to complain about this when the charges showed up unauthorized to my checking account and the phone numbers given are a recording that says they are open 8-5 Mon - Fri MST please call back during open hours, it then disconnects you. I called at 11 am PST, if I am not mistaken that is within the time frame of open hours that they stated. I have given all the information to my bank fraud department also to have them prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
